This is the Most Dangerous Attraction in the World!

[Music] we love adventure and we certainly love filling experiences but with any risky adventure comes a great deal of responsibility and some attractions around the world are better left unexplored unless of course you don't mind putting your life at risk today we're going to talk about the one attraction i consider to be the most dangerous one in the world and we'll have a look at some other attractions that you might remember from other videos that will definitely make you lose your breath our first entry is thunder river rapids every major theme park has its own rapids or at least most of them do usually these are the rides that you go on with all your family members the oldest ones and the youngest ones can ride together as it really doesn't pose any threat but that was not the case of thunder river rapids in dreamworld australia the ride wasn't the fastest one nor was it the tallest one or even the steepest one quite literally it's just a lazy old river ride however that uneventful record of this ride came to an end back in 2016 when four people died while riding it this was due to the fact that their rat flipped right when it was arriving on the conveyor belt and the thing kept moving apparently the right had problems prior to the incident some writers say that the artificial river was drained while people were on the ride and then they filled it back up but it took them a 45 minute wait while this ride usually only lasts a few minutes i think i'll take my chances at the sea world one as opposed to the other dangerous attractions that i'll show you they close this one for good the rock waterslide every major amusement park around the world is constantly looking for ways to improve and be better than everyone else for that reason alone the schlitterbahn water park in kansas city took great pride in their creation of their 170 feet tall ride they unveiled it four months after the park opened oh yeah this thing is pretty scary but they were convinced it was also very attractive it would take 264 steps for people to get to the top before going down the height of a 17-story drop in just a matter of seconds but this thing was a disaster waiting to happen as you know if you've been a fan of this channel in fact there were at least 14 different injury reports while the water slide was operating the worst one of them all was the last one a 10 year old child he was thrown from his raft and struck his head against a middle pole before meeting his end the worst part is that the people at the park were aware of the risks of this ride and still they allow people to go on such a deadly adventure good thing this ride is now closed but it's unfortunate that i had to take someone's life for them to realize just how bad this was then again i'm also not really surprised human trebuchet we think of catapults we often think of medieval times and old school devices that are no longer used today but someone had the brightest idea to make a human catapult in the uk okay yeah i know what you're thinking here that wasn't really a bright idea but it did sound very appealing back then i assume this attraction was supposed to be thrilling but safe for only 70 bucks people would be launched 75 feet through the air to later fall in a net that was suspended above the ground it sure does sound risky now that i say it but things ran pretty smoothly for the most part but all that changed back in 2002 when a 19 year old student from oxford went on the ride and failed to fall inside the net some people who were part of a stunt club try this trebuchet before this deadly incident and they noticed that something awful was likely to happen they say that they were concerned to see that some people were falling right in front of the net very close to falling out rather than safely landing in the middle of it i guess a terrible accident made people realize that building a human catapult wasn't necessarily a great idea our next entry is the big dipper all the incidents i've mentioned so far happened after the year 2000 but let's go back in time a bit and explore something that happened in the early 1970s when amusement parks were starting to become irrelevant at the time the battersea funfair was one of the most successful parks in europe a visit to this park meant that you were one of the coolest people around and even better if you were able and brave enough to ride the big dipper which was the park's major attraction but things had a dramatic twist when one day a car detached itself from the ride and flew backwards it then bumped into another car and entered the life of five kids while injuring 13 other riders as you can imagine this ride had to close down for good and the park lost its popularity pump the little fire dragon okay seriously i'm not in charge of roller coasters but roller coasters are supposed to sound scary not little fire dragons that doesn't sound threatening that sounds like a pixar movie though granted maybe the name is actually pretty accurate as this ride wasn't dangerous at all but then again what's it doing on this list well as i mentioned before even the slowest ride can be dangerous when something so small gets out of control in 1989 a young boy slipped off the ride and fell since the ride is so slow he thought he could get back on the ride without any problem but just as he was trying to get back on the car hit his head and he lost his life on the spot if that wasn't enough there have been other accidents at lagoon amusement park in utah which is where the little dragon ride is there have been at least three deadly incidents in the wooden roller coaster at the park but all these incidents are linked to people's misconduct so i guess we can say these rides are pretty much safe as long as you follow the rules our next entry is a water world california here's yet another incident that was a result of people's reckless behavior rather than actual malfunction of the rides waterworld in california earned a spot on the list of dangerous attractions after a fatal accident in 1997. this all started when a group of students wanted to beat a high school record of how many people they could put in a water slide at the same time about 30 teenagers jumped on this ride in one go when there's actually supposed to be just one person going per ride one of the sections of the ride collapsed as it couldn't stand the weight of all the teenagers this made them fall quite a few meters one girl died and at least 32 other people got injured as a result of this then in 2009 someone drowned while in the park and in 2012 there was a near-death accident now can we blame waterworld for the waterslide incident not really i'm sure they didn't expect to have so many teenagers challenge the capacity of the ride the other drowning though i don't know i'm not a lawyer our next entry is busch gardens there are two parks under the bush gardens management in the us one of them is in florida and one of them is in virginia and both of them have been responsible for pretty crazy accidents first we have that person who broke two ribs while riding the roman rapids at the park in virginia this happened after the raft hit a wall that was very close to water jets and water guns oh and then there was that time over in 2005 when power went out for several hours and it probably freaked some people out as the ride suddenly stopped unexpectedly according to the aso or the amusement safety organization there were at least 6 different incidents reported between 2006 and 2010 but the problems at busch gardens go back as far as 1993 when a woman sued the park after hurting her wrist and the worst of it all was that the woman wasn't even on a ride no no she was watching her family from an observation deck and that she started walking on the deck she slipped and fell and that's how she got hurt she wanted a compensation of 100 000 dollars because she says her life wasn't the same after this terrible event hmm getting beheaded by a ride hurting your wrist breaking your ribs because of a ride i can't lift a teapot oh man some people just got it rough wall to disney world florida i'm sure many of you love disney and some of your dream of visiting this magical place at least once in your life and i'm sorry to break it to you but these parks can 100 percent guarantee your safety i even made a whole video about that wink wink no judge go check it out but of all the disney parks the one that is the least safe is the one in florida you might remember it for that cast member dressed as pluto who lost his life during a parade and then there's the woman who was unconscious after going on the space mountain ride and we also have those monorail trains that collided and lots of water ride malfunctions that have been recorded throughout the years of course with all these incidents came a lot of lawsuits some of them were won some of them required disney to pay lots of money to the people affected by it and some were probably just tossed out so accidents do happen even at the most magical place in the world but that shouldn't keep us from going we just gotta be careful and trust our gut if iran gives us a bad feeling it's better to stay away unless you're peer pressured then you gotta do it now it's time for dangerous attraction in the world i want to show you how a ride at a water park can turn dangerous and let's go to our next one with [Music] aqua loop there are many aqua loops around the world in case you're wondering what ride i'm talking about it's the one where you drop down a vertical side before getting sent into an inclined loop it all happens so fast that you barely get a chance to blink but a lot of people are always hesitant to get on these rides and there's a good reason for that it doesn't matter which water park you go to this ride always looks terrifying for instance a few years ago a girl got a spinal injury after riding on the aqua loop at the wet and wild water park and the golden coast of australia but the girl also admitted that she had some pre-existing conditions the good thing was that the park was ready with an efficient response scene that took care of her right away other incidents at other aqua loops around the world include numerous people who have gotten stuck while riding that's why park staff always ask that you put your arms in a certain position and avoid using swimsuits or swim shorts that have outer zippers on them as they could easily honestly i can't think of a more dangerous place the dark history of this park begins in 1980 when a staff member sled derailed while riding on the alpine slide a year later the park was already responsible for 14 bone fractures and 26 head injuries and we can't forget about the cannonball loop that only opened for a short time due to the multiple injuries that it caused but this shouldn't surprise you after so many incidents the son of the owner of the park admitted that all of these dangerous situations were part of the appeal of the park there's even an employee in the park who claims that they used white pain in the park to spot any dead bodies in the case of a fatality and i don't even know how to process that lost teeth broken bones deaths the place has seen all sorts of tragedies and they're still standing but now they're called mountain creek water park and there haven't been any crazy incidents in a while at least i hope that means that they've learned from their
