This fan DMed me every day for a year so I drew his OC

some more cardio ever done hey guys welcome to another fan redraw episode these videos are so my favorite to do because i love interacting with you guys the fans are the reason why all this is possible and so i want to highlight one fan in particular i usually am a little too busy to check all my dms but this one stood out to me because they have been messaging me every single day they've never missed a day and after an entire year i messaged back i said i would love to read all your art oh my god and so let me introduce you to aubin aubin is an 18 year old indonesian artist who's really passionate about art they said that they've watched my mastercard series to help them on their art journey so without further ado let's get into it rostrals join a fan joy this is this is so cool so this is alvin's original character noise and auburn told me that what she's wearing is inspired by traditional indonesian clothing and that she loves butterflies and dancing i really love how the face and the head is very round kind of softer shapes and then we're contrasted by these sharp gold accents even though you know our eye balances everywhere you know all these kind of curved shapes it's balanced by the strong straight line from the earring if you guys remember from the last fan regional episode neola i experimented lots of suppose you know i chose a different camera angle try to go for something more dynamic but for no s i already love this composition you know i think it's really strong and so i'm gonna try to keep this and maintain it and one thing that i love is that auben hid the hand so we don't have to draw any hand hands off so this is the progress so far and i'm really liking it you know i'm trying to capture the essence with the dark feature with the blue eyes with the sharper accents on the hair and one thing i'm trying to do is group and simplify what i see here into this we have this shape we have this shape we have this shape and then balance by strong straight line yeah i'm just trying to group it which makes the end result more impactful and clear one thing i want to introduce that's not in the original is the spiral composition golden ratio everyone has heard of this in art school there's a lot of discussion between whether that's real whether that's not but personally i love this bottle composition and it works for me i use it in a lot of my paintings and so it's a composition that will lead your eye in a spiral formation so this is my focal point now i am going to add elements to this painting that follows the shape of this spiral and alvin said that she loves butterflies and so we're gonna add some butterflies and then maybe right here nice look at that and also the shape of the butterfly echoes the shape of her gold accents so if you've never tried the spiral composition before try it out see what you think maybe it will work for the style and uh yeah i'll check back soon [Music] hey guys welcome back and here's the progress of our piece so far and you can see here i introduced some highlights and shadows but one thing i need to consider and i want you guys to consider is bounce light since her gold accents are metallic it's going to give off a harsher brighter bounce light this gold accent is going to hit this cheek look at that beautiful and on this side as well just a little bit some color dodge i know a little early before and after yeah just pay attention to the different materials in your scene and the reflective value that each material will give off i'm just gonna finish this up and i'll
