This Crash Did More Damage Than I Thought!

knew that was gonna happen at some point hey everyone I'm back I've got the camera and it feels pretty good now if you haven't seen my last video on my Instagram and you've been wondering where I am where have my videos been the honest truth is I've been suffering quite badly with depression this winter now I normally feel a bit depressed around February anyway because of the seasonal attention disorder this winter I went into it already feeling bad because my van broke down didn't have enough money to fix it and that put me in a bit of a downer going into winter now these things are always easiest to talk about but I have mentioned on my Instagram like I said I did a live video last week and the response I've had from you guys has been overwhelming you guys have been so understanding you've done so well and making me feel better and I can't thank you enough I know a lot of you guys have been feeling down over winter it's quite a common thing to feel depressed and just a lot of people don't talk about it so I really hope that myself opening up and letting people know that you know this thing just happened I hope it's helped you guys as well thanks so much for that now the other thing you may have seen online is my new bike this is the brand new 2019 inspired hex now is it pretty much exactly the same as it old 1x set it's got this new paint job which a lot of people think looks brown but I can try and get some decent light on it and actually see it as a dark red with some pretty cool metallic effects on there so it is actually pretty sweet and looked way better in person than it does on line up and promise you let's see if we can try and get some of this color showing through definitely looks better in the Sun so I hope you guys are able to see this I came only looking at small screen so yeah I'm sorting to see if it's getting all the details but yeah looks pretty nice now the build I've gone for is it's mostly exactly the same as I left my last one I've built it using all new parts except for the wheels because I'm still waiting on some new rims for that to be fair Paddy's wheels for almost a year and they've been absolutely amazing never had to touch them so that's good open that everything else is exactly the same and although the only other difference is I'm trying some new tires trying some Maxis cross marks they seem pretty good so I'm gonna keep on riding those and let you guys know how they work only thing with this bike in a minute is I've hardly been riding and it's so fresh the brakes are really bedded in so I'm kind of hoping they will bed in pretty damn quickly as I'm riding today because you may recognize this place from previous videos I actually need to check and see which number what is one of the very early ones I came on the road here and tried some stuff and I've been wanting to come back ever since I've got the hex just to see what it's like on a 26 inch wheels so I'm gonna have a play around here I've got some gaps I want to try yeah I've got a few few ideas but I think this one's going to be a little bit of a shorter video just because there's not that much here but hopefully it'd be short and sweet and to be a quality over quantity so I think I've probably talked enough let's do some riding I guess the natural thing to do is start small and work your way up this is the smallest one we've got here and just like the condition of this I'm feeling pretty rusty so let's see what I can do on this get warmed up because it is a freezing cold day today and then move on to some of the bigger stuff [Music] definitely think I can do that better still got hopped up here let's do it no hops unknowingly the my konami have my helmet has stopped working so we're going to go of the audio which with my previous videos has been proving to be a bit erratic move some background noises so hopefully it's working all right and doesn't ruin the rest of this video but for this one I'm going to try and manual from that one to that one it's probably could it take forever I've only got one battery of me because I foolishly thought there was already one in the camera which there isn't how do I still do this after three years but yeah I'm gonna give this a try and then I'll edit it down to just yeah just make it look like I did it first try all within a couple attempts which it won't be come on definitely warmed up now don't get serious serious [Music] it's excellent just try a couple more bits on this [Music] [Music] that went pretty well excellent the last time I came here the thing that I did most happy with was hooking up to the sides of that but then getting across now it's all he's really really all good hooks think I did it when I went to the back door first gaps up to it and then use the Flex the forks that go straight up to the back wheel that's flippin horrible so I might try that but I've got a couple of ideas of different techniques where I reckon I can get up this without having to cook it so that's my next challenge [Music] whoa that is a tight fit Oh [Music] second strike maybe I'm not as rusty as I thought so feelin it I reckon I could get that a little bit better okay went off the other side driving straight let's do that again try to polish it up just a little bit that's just a little bit better I reconnected still we've polished up there's quite a few hops then I wanted to get this as few hops as possible I know I was a couple of hops on that one but the rest of it is caught so I'm gonna accept that I've only got limited battery so I can spend all day - I want it but I do have another couple of techniques that I want to try that 10 you can just did I thought was probably the most likely doubt get over it I'm gonna try the technique I did on my arcade it's like two years ago let's see if I've improved or got worse something's happening that's making me twist loads just know the reason why I'm not committing because I feel like I'm twisting so much my back wheels gonna end up on this edge and then get the hell out of there so I don't know how to end up going straighter which would make it a lot more safer my foot got caught underneath the lip I was fully committed on that as well you know what that is denied I'm not getting that which is really annoying seems like my skills have deteriorated in the last two years which isn't cool the only way I can redeem myself is if we can get up this without having to hook it which I definitely could not do on the arcade so I reckon I might be able to just straight back wheel it or bully tap it but that lip you know that's not the nicest thing to bunny tap actually just in the worst place in the world for a bunny tap just gonna have like really better you know guys I am really struggling with this this is something I've found lately there I know I can do stuff I just can't make myself do it so trying to backfill that I'm just getting distracted by people in cars diggers goat-like every little thing movement where it's just distracting me and put me off and then I doubt that I can do it and it just drives me at the wall I'm going to try something else and then come back to this one I've been gutted if I go home and I don't even try it anymore okay so this time try and make up for not getting on that note try something equally as hard this is something I couldn't do on the arcade basically a gap from that to that and again it's going to be an issue here I think landing on that is going to be a prime case of the tire wanton slide out so hopefully I can make the distance and hopefully I will grip and then the plan is to land it and then just pop off that end of it so let's see how this goes like grip - way better than I thought my Lisa tried it now I just need to land it Oh I knew that was gonna happen at some point sorry bike this pedal has bent see if the pedals bent or the crank has bent all right a disaster has happened that crash has seriously bent my pedal I've no idea how I need to go and look back at the foot I don't know whether this landed all my weight on it but my pedal barely spins and something feels really really bent it's either I bend a pedal or have been the cranks the fact that my pedal doesn't really spin anymore or suggest a my pedals bent I might just try it again anyway but that feels horrible that just feels like a cranks bent like murder that's a shape I've been winning these pedals like the last year and I've never been to pair that's officially my first ride out in these and [Music] you know everyone I think I'm done this has been a very frustrating ride rather than force myself and then crashing more and then up getting more annoyed more angry I was gonna call it I'm gonna go home and at least I got out I'm gonna look at the positives I got out I did do some good stuff I got up the hook of that one so there are some positives this right and back out I'm talking to the camera and making videos again and I'm gonna
