This Chevy Is Going To Need More Than A Rescue!

just as I suspected so we got a call for some sort of a Chevrolet pickup truck stuck in the mud up at the Meadow Springs up there so it's a long ways from home but we're going to head up there and see if we can get them out it's a nice day cool Sunny little snow on the ground that's unusual for us but it's going to be fun we got the freight liner that's unusual for us but we got the wrecker on the back it's calm today that's a little unusual and we're stopping at Maverick for breakfast that's not unusual got the [Music] essentials all right we've been on the road for a couple of hours and we are finally at pretty much our destination we're going to be pulling off the freeway right now and then we're going to be heading over to the meadow Hot Springs to see if there is a truck buried up to here somebody showed me up to where up to here in the mud it is 32° out there that is technically freezing it's freezing out there but where Tom and I are from that's swimming weather I think Jake and I are realizing the same thing at the same time we never learned two plus two wait we have two seeds 2 + 2 + 32° round that to the somebody's going to be cold don't know who [Music] yet all right we loaded up we're just cruising down an old dirt Farm Road do you know where we're going or you just following GPS 3.6 miles have you been here before yeah this is job number three or four here we go see what this looks like it's cold little chil all right we see some Vehicles up here one of them looks like it might be our stuck [Music] truck see the them coming out of the after the ride Jake and I just had we needed yeah it was freezing then how would you like to ride back afterwards I'm going to ride back in this this doesn't run in the door jam is this something you tried right here yeah I was able to tow it out about like a foot from where it was I was trying to give some people a ride back cuz I drove in here fine I didn't want to bounce them out of my truck bed so I thought this would be a smoother pass but definitely chose wrong all right let's get do you think I can drive through this all right I think we're just going to do a nice steady dead pull out of here drive set that right there we got our tow Point here from yank and ropes this thing's awesome put it in right there this is really greasy it's pretty deep right here but I think the wrecker is just going to pull it on up on some hard ground and then we'll figure out what's wrong with it I don't know if I'm going to have enough traction to just do a dead pull if not we'll put the winch on but I might as well try this first let's see what happens just as I suspected so that thing has been sitting there overnight and it is is sucked in by the mud that's what mud does at least this isn't like North Fork mud wow that is that's slick all right all right here we go oh yeah look at that front wheel [Music] man all right I think I'm just going to pull him out backwards we'll just get out of this mud maybe just I don't know maybe we'll get up and see if we can jump side I was want to find someplace where we're not standing in the goo I thought it would just pull right out but it took a little winching I thought he'd just be able to drive but this stuff is so slick he was just spinning all four about to pop the hood and see see what we can see so it's showing the battery is nearly dead um you do have your belt still on here so we might be able to jump this I don't think we bought jumper cables I have jumper cables do you okay my next idea was going to be try to use our welding leads to jump it but if you got cables um it's yeah it sounds like it's got half the voltage it needs to [Music] run so the belt still good yeah that is a lot of mud up there there yeah these are small smallish jumper cables too maybe there just wasn't enough juice that should be on you on up there I'm on okay is that what it was doing so you were cranking it but it wouldn't start so it's not something's not happy yeah could water have been sucked in possibly but the engine doesn't like doesn't sound like it's been Hydro locked is it got gas in it a tank looks like we're going to be wheel lifting this all the way [Applause] [Music] home we got three miles of flat toe into the roll back and then we're going to switch it [Music] up I get a lot of questions about why we don't put a headliner up or fix that it looks terrible and it does it looks terrible but is because there is a half a dozen holes in here that we've got to fix first and the reason we haven't fixed that yet is because we haven't the time room to go [Music] forward I got these aren't Victory pies but they're Donuts hopefully they help let's see let's see if he knows my favorite kind I got three hopefully I got one of them right oh so close dang what's what's your favorite one I am a simple man oh and if it's a if a glaze is like that's it oh that's my favorite too yeah but that's okay I'll eat one of those I'll eat one of these oh wait there's more Tom this is your box oh wow oh my goodness this is the best job we've ever ever done look at that man oh yeah snacks see if that's right that works put it on now right we're headed to Cedar City to drop this off and then back to the shop yeah okay that's that thank you so much hey thanks for uh using us you saved me that's for sure I appreciate it hopefully I won't have to see you guys for a bit yeah at least not I this way yeah it has been an amazing day and that is usual so we got a call for an Audi A4 that is stuck in the mud up by observation point on East Zion I am busy in the shop working on the Tangerine so I'm sending the B Team plus one plus one oh part of the a team so it's the B+ team te he's going to be taking his Bronco up there we've been working on this thing building up make it tough enough for off-road recovery work and he thinks it's there it's actually proven itself a couple times yep going have to test out these tires in the mud they are not the mud trains that North Fork Road mud is on another level that is some slippery stuff I know you guys all have mud too but holy smokes it is on another level so for once Matt will be on backup not us I think they're going to do just fine these are one of the hardest cars we have to recover there's nowhere to hook up under the underc carriage cuz there's plastic covering everything they're so low profile that taller Vehicles if you try hooking up somewhere underneath do find a spot to hook up underneath that you'll end up pulling the bumper off and stuff like that we're going to try and do this as quick as possible because we're missing out on cutting the top off the [Applause] tangerine and Rhett really wants to participate in that I love chopping stuff up I've never been in here and I know it's muddy last time Matt came up here which was like this week a couple days ago Monday this is a terrible terrible terrible s he came back with a bunch of mud all over the banana so I hate mud looks like the road's pretty dry though this is already 10 times better than what we had to do I don't think think I've been on this road either okay well it is currently 55° according to the Bronco it's cold no wind there's snow on the ground which is a good sign it's a beautiful day now I can understand see this is what I mean now I can see why this guy is stuck because it is bad up here it's not bad on the road but if you slide off you're going to get stuck holy crap okay this just got bad fast oh there they are oh Mylanta he probably tried driving it up this huh he couldn't get back up this is slick very much so we went from no mud to all the mud oh I wore the wrong shoes again gosh I broke my number one rule and that's you always wear boots he gets it from my mom this is how's it going we're stuck oh yeah not that good I so we're like how'd these guys get stuck out here cuz it's all dry and then muddy yeah just changes all right well we'll get you turned around and then pull you back up the hill sure thank you okay tennis shoes oh you're wearing them too mine are okay to get dirty though down that and then turn around right here uhuh no no cuz I don't want to have to pull you out of there too can he just back just back back straight up straight up and we're going to push on the front end as you back up don't spin your tires try not to spin your tires and we're going to push the front end around okay going to shake off myot little and falling all over the place he's going to be the only one that's in there dang this car is fancy you're good yeah R you think you can get it up on this bump over here try and get that tire up on it this way no okay okayy you're going to be crooked if you can keep that tire up on there and stay from being in the Rut you might be able to just drive it out so let me get out of your way first all right we're about to dog walk this thing out of here hopefully I'm not I said dog H walk he thought I said [Music] [Music] mobit all right Rett drove it up and out we're just waiting for another one of their vehicles to come out to make sure it makes it out okay and then we'll head on our way all right so this is the other car looks like they're making it up fine so we're going to get out of here we're going to follow them out to make sure they get all the way out got to do it when his back is turned I don't want to hit him turn your tires a little bit all right back up a tiny bit more okay there you go you should be good to pull forward I missed all right we'll follow you out when it when it really snows I'll be in trouble for that one all right so we made it back to Pavement and they're on their way another happy customer so I know a lot of you are like oh I would have just drove it out a lot of people that we rescue don't know what a mud road is they don't know what a gravel road is they don't know and I'm not saying that's the case for these indiv uals but they were obviously not experienced when it comes to Mud so they looked at a slick Hill and they just didn't want to drive up it so the safe bet to do is to allow somebody else to come do it if you're not comfortable doing something allow somebody else who is comfortable doing it okay we got that all settled thanks for watching what are you eating biscuit sticks you want one no no
