thinset removal from concrete

all right so let's talk about thinset so you decided to take your tile off to put maybe laminate flooring or vinyl planks congratulations you must be married but you get to this point here where you got a little tile off and i got stuck with all this thinset and you might have tried a rotary hammer and that works to some degree just takes a very long time and leaves behind all these little chips which are not fun to pick up even with a vacuum and it does cause a lot of dust so if you have a large area what do you do how do you get to the next step which is laying you know laying down your planks and getting rid of this thinset well you probably weren't expecting this but there's going to be an additional cost involved here's what you need so one shot back get one with some power at least uh you know 6.0 or something like that because you will need that suction power to help you next one a dust separator okay i'm going to have links for all these items in my description but this one was like 45 bucks this will save your vacuum get one of these don't cheap on it get one of these next one is this guy right here all right you want to get one of these grinders and yes you will have to get on your knees and grind yes grinding that's the only way to get rid of it and pick one of these guys up this is a diamond cut grinder this will basically grind all this stuff away and get this attachment okay for your grinder there you go get this attachment for your grinder right over here okay so this is the grinder get this attachment this attachment connects all the way to this guy so what this guys does very easy it separates all the fine powders you're going to be grinding and puts it into this bucket and then that saves your vacuum filter okay so it doesn't get clogged up and gives you the suction power you need to continue working with this grinder this is the best and easiest way to get rid of this additional cost but you will save yourself the headache of having to deal with a rotary hammer you will save yourself the headache of dust and you will get through this job much quicker which is very important safety get yourself some eye protective glasses or goggles and get yourself an n95 mask or a respirator we're all aware of what these are uh these days so shouldn't be an issue picking one of these up at the at the hardware store anyways uh good luck uh this is not fun but once you get done with this you can move on to the other part which is laying on the floor and making your wife happy all right
