has got to be one of the most unique nomadic  homes that I have ever seen and I'm really   excited for you to check it out we've featured  a lot of Vans buses and tiny homes on wheels on   this channel but never have we featured a nomadic  home that has 18 Wheels that's right we're going   to take a tour of Clayton and Teresa's 18-wheeler  Nomad monster tiny home I have a jet ski I have a   motorcycle I have another electric bike I figure  if you're going to go big you might as well go big   this is as big as you can go what else you want  if you like videos like this one make sure that   you subscribe and hit that notification Bell so  that you know every single time we publish a new   video but right now let's jump right in and take  a tour of this amazing home on Wheels and also   make sure that you stay tuned all the way to the  end of this video where you can learn more about   the water drop water filtration system which  is a perfect product for the nomadic lifestyle hi I'm Clayton and I'm Theresa and  Welcome to our Nomad monster home this is something that we look forward to all the  time we've been together we've been together for   30 two and a half years I just like to drive  to move forward and look at the countryside I figure if you're going to go big you might  as well go big this is as big as you can go   the first year was basically rebuilding the truck  and then I found the trailer that I wanted then I   spent the next four or five years building it  so I just did it as I felt like doing it and   sometimes I've worked hard on it and sometimes  I didn't so five years later it's almost done   the first hundred thousand went real quick  buying the truck buying the trailer we spent   probably maybe another 100 on top  of that we're into it for 200 250. we both are over the age of 65 it gives  us old age pension from Canada and then   we have a supplemental Top-Up if you're low  income plus from working the Canada Pension   Plan so those three that's it my plan for  the future live as long as I can laughs welcome everyone to the outside of our monster our  home the tractor it used to be a commercial truck   that ran in Texas so I had to totally rebuild it  but now I baby it and it's happy it loves me so   we're good it uses about seven miles to the  gallon a big pickup truck of the fifth wheel   it's about the same so I'm not losing anything  and I'm gaining a lot from tip to toe it's about   73 74 feet long the standard semi is eight and  a half feet wide the height the maximum you're   allowed is 13 and a half right now it's at 14 and  a half but I go over the roof and I got 13 and a   half so we're good assistant to put the roof up is  relatively simple but complicated Tracer stands in   the back tells me what's going up and what's not  and I'm in the front pushing buttons to control   each cylinder so if we can make it go up nice and  even then no problem and then down nice and even   we're okay if it goes up a little bit cock-eyed  let us get jammed and then we have issues around   it I'm fairly close to the weight on the trailer  it's rated at eighty thousand pounds and I can   do twenty thousand pounds on the trailer wheels  this Beast is a 2004 Volvo vnl with a Cummins ISX   engine 15 liters it has 750 000 miles on it and  that's nothing it's meant for long distance so   this I bought at an auction in Texas and brought  it up to Canada and I had to convert it I didn't   want it to be a commercial vehicle that costs a  lot of money and it has a lot more regulations   that you have to get into mostly it was easy in  Alberta because I just had to have the items they   would find in a motorhome so it had to have a  sink it had to have a separate water supply and   it had to have a bed and a few other things so  that's what they did on the inside so when it   got the truck the interior was totally trashed  so I stripped it right down to the bare metal   and rebuilt it as a motorhome rather than a  commercial and so that makes a lot easier to   get through the scales makes it a lot  easier with insurance and registration is where the captain sits on a nice bouncy seat  which if I flip a lever down here it also gives   me a massage while I drive there's two cameras  on the front of the trailer there's a camera   on the back like the security cameras so  I can see the sides I can see the back   just from sitting here so that gives me a  good visual with my co-fil it's not with me   um so helps again safety very very important I can  see a lot of distance I can see what the cars are   I can see traffic ahead while we're traveling  especially if we get to the amazing speed of 50   miles an hour that diesel engine is a bit noisy  the tire is a bit noisy and Teresa is doing   navigating so I'm always yelling at her what'd  you say what'd you say so what I've got this is   a FRS family service radio if I push a button she  can hear me really well and the other way so she's   giving me instructions where to go it looks kind  of cool too I'm going to show you a magic trick   commercial vehicles cannot be altered however this  is a motorhome so I can do whatever the I want to   so I'm going to go into the site here and I'm  going to close the door and I'm going to pop   out the back and that leads right straight  into the trailer so see you in a second oh there you are and I can go from here straight  into the nose of the trailer if I have to get in   or out or whatever if I don't have to go outside  first thing people ask me is how long have you   been a trucker answer never second thing oh  I love those big tires because of the spacing   and the way the tires are I can sit there in  the Sun and relax and it's really comfortable what I use is what we call our umbilical cord  it's got the two connections here for the brakes   and then the connection here for the lights  and stuff get back underneath here onto the   other end of the umbilical cord so we  got our Airlines here the signals for   the lights I can hook everything up and we're  ready to roll the trailer is standard 53 foot   the studs that go up in here are steel but that  is aluminum and that makes it interesting because   it bends and if we're inside sometimes we hear  Bang and oh yeah okay it must be warm outside   or cold outside I've got good insulation  behind here so the heat is there it gets   hot it gets up to 100 and something but good  installation so I don't feel it on the inside over here we have the main entrance when we're  traveling or at night we can close everything   up really tight with it open and have a nice big  window and that also moves so if I need to move   big things in and out I can move that or just lots  of traffic just makes it easier because this door   is kind of narrow but it works and it's secure  this is the kitchen window same as I did that one   this is going to be my favorite toy it's a  2022 Honda Gold Wing the monster is parked   like right here and then we hop in the  bike and we'll go exploring this bike   is incredible Tracer does complain  that I almost rip her head off but   it's good it can get you out of  trouble it can get you into trouble I've always been into sustainability so  obviously solar panels on the roof there   are 20 panels 250 watts each which gives  me about 5 000 possible watts of power I have a jet ski I have a motorcycle I have  another electric bike and I have a lot of tools   that I need to fix things as things go so let's  take a look at the garage and see what happens   there I'm just going to go inside and close  the door and then the drawbridge comes down and I have to tell you this is a  real garage that's why it's so messy   battery Banks I've got five 100 amp hour 48 volt  lithium battery set so that gives me 50 kilowatt   hours of electric storage tools I've got pretty  much everything you might want my Seadoo there's   a winch in the forward of the garage and it pulls  it up the ramp and up this ramp and it's out of   the way it will if I back the truck up here it'll  go straight from here into the back of the truck   and my favorite toy the motorcycle sits right here  got all the connections to keep it strapped down come on in and have a look at the inside welcome to the inside of our monster home this  is the kitchen created by Clayton because he   likes to cook so he chose everything in  here we have a residential fridge and   freezer we have microwave air fryer  and we have two induction stove tops   the water system is behind the wall here that  Services the kitchen this door goes into the   garage and there's a little bit of a Pantry  on the back of it so we can store food there there's lots of room lots of counter space it's  denimed pine trees that were killed by the pine   beetle the wallpaper is the anagliptic wallpaper  it comes just like paper and then you paint it   whatever color you want so we just painted  this white so that this area is bright with   kitchen and bath washable paint next we will go  to the dining room these are theater seats that   Clayton got at an auction and we just took them  and sandblasted them at a company in Victoria   where you get to do the sandblasting yourself that  was quite entertaining he recovered the chairs he   says that with this red and fuzzy he is stepping  out of the box that he's been in for 70 years we can have four people to have a meal together   everything is just right here so all the dishes  and the cutlery and mugs and everything if we   need anything we can just reach over and get it  this window it's locked and then it slides across this is a pellet stove it's a sustainable heating  source and the pellets are available all over the   place and this blasts a lot of heat in addition  to that up above the stairs is a heat pump   and that will supply cold air  or warm air depending on what we   need at the time cool basically the whole trailer this is one of the special rooms in the  trailer they're all special but this is   where we spend a lot of time working on  programming working on the YouTube channel   and we have 75 inch screen which basically  takes up the whole wall a pair of high efficient   speakers so the sound is like incredible we have  starlink so Netflix is not a problem downloading   it is basically set up as a movie theater and  neighbors that are far enough away they don't   care if I crank up the volume what else do you  want we'll go upstairs and tour the upstairs   first we'll go to the I always think of the back  of the trailer but it's not it's the front of the   trailer and this is where our closets are and  Storage people say to me oh you've got a sewing   machine you're so lucky and I say no I don't  that's Clayton's as well it belonged to his mum   I wanted a full-length closet because I wanted to  bring all my clothes with me huge mistake because   I have too many and now I admit it publicly  this is truly a lesson that I don't need as much   this door here I'm not going to step out  because it's not hooked up as a tractor   but this is where I go in and out of  the tractor and you can see the door I wanted a separate room for the bathroom  because if somebody's already in the shower   then you want to be able to run into  the bathroom so I call this the indoor   Outhouse because it just looks like a tiny little   Outhouse to me except it is a flush toilet small  don't need much space there is a little sink there   right across from the toilet room we have the  washer and dryer it's apartment size they're high   efficiency and the dryer is a heat pump system  so it doesn't vent outside it the water comes   into here and then you just have to remember to  empty it so you don't flood your little laundry   room let's head down the hallway and I'll show you  the tub room with this little hallway here I feel   like sometimes like I'm living in a train which  is okay with me I quite like it little Barn Door next we're going to go to the library I think  the layout was already done and then I said to   Clayton one day can I have a library everything  got readjusted a little bit but not much he made   the shelving recovered this chair and ottoman  for me that belonged to our mom and dad we had   always wanted to do tin tiles it's really hard to  get tin tiles to match so we just started looking   for replicas they're made of PVC and we were lucky  the day that we finally did the order they were I   think either 40 or 50 percent off bonus all right  let's head to the next room which is the bedroom we didn't need a huge room I didn't want built-in  Furniture anywhere if we're going to live in here   for the rest of our lives I wanted to be like a  home not a travel trailer the bed is on slides   so that Clayton can get up that side and I  can get out that side underneath is storage   we've got two dressers rather than built-in  closets on top of the dresser we've had   to put his sweatshirts and stuff like  that because we just don't have enough   drawer space next we'll go to the living  room which is at the back of the trailer   it's nice to be able to sit in here and read with  the pellet stove going there's also a mini split   in here as well for heat and air conditioning  so far we haven't had to use air conditioning   because it hasn't been warm enough anywhere we  have a little fridge and freezer and we've got a   little supply of Cutlery and dishes if I want to  make a pot of tea up here I don't have to carry   heavy and hot teapots and everything so I can  make everything up here there's also a TV here the back wall is a deck and it goes down opens  and then we have these bars here and these just   go in the sides here just to give a little  safety Rail and then the table holds down Lifestyle Changes everything's definitely just   slower moving I've read 35 books since  we left home more getting used to him being more of a couple now was  initially for me a little bit stressful I love her dearly and I like her being nearby  she's annoying I'm really happy that we can   be this much closer 24 7. some people can't take  that but I enjoy your company she's a good friend   on this channel we showcase a lot of stories  about people living nomadically whether in Vans   buses or tiny homes and when you have that kind  of Lifestyle it's important that you have clean   filtered drinking water and that's why today  we're showcasing a product that ensures you   have clean and Safe Drinking Water no matter  where you park so I sent a water drop g3p800   to my van experts who are currently building  out a van dwelling for a client hi guys I'm   Kelsey I'm Jamie we're going to show you the  install process in this Pro Master van behind us the instructions very straightforward and   it looks like it's going to be  a pretty easy install process one thing I love about this product is how compact  it is that is so important when it comes to small   space design and the water drop has a nine stage  filtration system that'll filter out things like   iron and calcium and you can see that you're  getting a fresh glass of safe drinking water   every single time with the smart faucet readout  the advanced water dispensing Tech uses just   one cup of Wastewater for every three cups of  filtered water the RO system is currently the   product with the best filtration effect among  water filter products which can effectively   remove all substances with a pore size larger than  .0001 to safeguard your water quality on the road that is some good water having fresh  filtered drinking water is so important   so if you're interested in this product  make sure you check out the links in the   description and I will see you guys soon  with another unique home tour foreign
