These Terraria fishing weapons are seriously good...

fishing in terraria is loved and hated by many players whether you like it or not it is undeniable and it can yield some fantastic items today we're going to be looking at two very powerful weapons which can be obtained straight after entering hard mode starting with the corruption exclusive ranged weapon and toxic carp the toxic cat can be fished up in the corruption bomb at any depth just make sure you have a sizeable pool of water to fish in as fishable weapons are quite a rare drop and recommend maximizing your chances by drinking fishing potions and equipping any angular items which will increase your fishing power if you're still struggling to get one with all of this you can always craft a look version to further increase your chances look versions are crafted with pearls which can be found inside oysters which can be fished up in the oasis biome with this it shouldn't take you much longer than 20 or so minutes to get one which is brilliant considering fishing isn't exactly a dangerous task which can be done at the very start of hard mode moving on to team red we have a crimson exclusive mellow weapon the blade tongue the blade tone can seemingly be fished up but this time in the crimson biome however only in the underground layer like the toxic carp make sure to maximize your chances with angular gear and do be afraid to use look bushes if you're struggling to get one lucky for me i managed to fish one up super fast so then let's see how they perform starting with the talk to carp it's fair to say the toxic cap is the blade tongue's counterpart which is reflected in both their utilizations but toxic cap emits greenish bubbles that travel in the aim direction for a short distance before ascending these bubbles inflict the poison debuff on enemies which deal damage over time as the bubbles don't pierce this weapon struggles on multi-enemy scenarios even with the poison damage this weapon's dps definitely shines when you can accurately hit single targets this is where its counterpart comes in the blade tongue the blue tongue is a sword which when struck with an enemy will fire an icos stream in an upwards arch piercing and damaging multiple enemies as opposite to the toxic art the blade tongue excels in multi-enemy scenarios and crowd control due to all its projectiles it's nice to see this kind of duality in weapons between the two evils the question is which one is better well it all depends on what you intend to do if you're looking at taking out your first hardwood boss the toxic carp is actually a brilliant option for queen slime despite its poor range even on master mode i had no problem taking her out with this thing the slow projectile speeds actually make it quite easy to force the boss to fly into the bubbles long after you've fired them dealing a ton of dps on the other side of things if you're looking at keeping enemies away from you in invasions for example the blade tongue is your best friend although i do have a melee glove equipped the knockback created from the blade and all the extra projectiles ensure these mummies keep far away also you can see the damage combined with the decrease in armor due to the icard debuff which makes it pretty lethal on the damaged side too so the toxic cap is a great option for any early hardwood ranger who wants to obtain something without a fight not to mention how it literally consumes no ammo making it cheap and reliable and the blade tongue despite being quite a small sword can really put up a fight in the right scenarios i would imagine all them ico projectiles could do some good damage into destroyer 2 assuming you can tank the damage what do you think do you always fish for these weapons when entering hardbird and if so are you team red or purple thanks for watching for more terraria content like this drop a like and subscribe and i'll see you in the next one [Music] you
