roman bishop the prime minister's on a mission i'm worried he's going to go work on this boris johnson tweeted in the last 24 hours you know he's arrived in cornwall at the g7 he's asking his fellow leaders to rise the challenge of beating the pandemic building back better which is the language of the international socialists but he wants it to be fairer and greener so it's all that climate change stuff it'll be a busy important summit and he can't wait uh for it to get started now he's onto covert colonialism he wants a billion shots australia's now committed in last hour or so to 20 million vaccine shots going into the third world well you know we're a rich country that's uh that's great but i am really worried that uh we could get suck it into a big woke conversation and signed up to stuff we really probably shouldn't be signing up to well there are a few points to make there gary because you you sound very good warnings the first is the speech that the prime minister made in western australia was setting out what what we stand for and what we will do is a very good speech but the climate change trap is the one that really worries me if you look at what mcgowan said i mean there's only one game in the world really at the moment and that is china everything else is secondary and every time we sign on to something about climate change that fetters our ability to be independent and self-sufficient which is what the emissions business is all about because we don't have nuclear we only have coal as our base load power then that's in support of china and it allows china to again have the advantage of using our steel and using our iron ore and our coal to manufacture weapons weapons obstruction perhaps we could say but if you if you really are serious about any issue that's what the g7 should be discussing now it's very good to think well yes uh if the vaccine is seen to be successful uh then it's a good thing to let other people in the world have access to it but i don't hear anything said about treatment of people who get it uh i i just bothered to take a look at the figures here in australia in australia we currently have in victoria two people in hospital with covid three in new south wales 13 in queensland three in the northern territory making a total of 21. nobody's died nobody's died for months in the case that queensland was the latest place where somebody died but in places like the act south australia tasmania western australia it's over 400 days that's over a year and you've had two people die of clots from the astrazeneca vaccine and yet nobody seems to want to talk about them just tell us the truth tell us that the risk for the vaccine is the same for everyone which it is but the rational the rationale for saying people over 50 should get the astrozenica vaccine is because they argue that getting the disease is a worse risk than the risk of the clots from the vaccine and that's not very hard thing to say is it but we get all these all these stats that tell us it's a or it's not very worrying it's not very uh it's most unlikely and yet no deaths from covert but two from the vaccine so just tell us the truth and give people choice to do so now that's off the tack of what's going to happen with scomo in the uk with biden and with the prime minister of great britain who really seems to have gone right off the rails so we have to hope that he sticks to that speech that he made that he holds his ground and that we do sign a free trade agreement subsequently and that it contains no penalty tariffs if we don't comply with certain things about emissions for climate change you know i was thinking the other day ago we talk about burying carbon into the soil putting it back perhaps it should be in in such a way that we can put a valve on it when it gets cold like it is today we could let a bit of co2 out and when it gets too hot we can whack it back into the into the container and that way we can manage to climb it quite nicely but standing firm yeah
