who wish to hear that I once believed in the code of the Jedi that I felt the call of the Sith that perhaps once I held the galaxy by its throat that for every good work that I did I brought equal harm upon the galaxy that perhaps what the greatest of the Sith Lords knew of evil they learned from me the Star Wars Expanded Universe is known for its unique and fascinating characters but if you ask those who are well versed in the old EU who the most complex character is they'll likely say one in particular human known by many names she was once the greatest of the Jedi Masters only to be exiled from the order and once the reigning Dark Lord of the Sith only to be betrayed and cast out by her students in the end she was neither Jedi nor sethe nor anything in-between she aligned with neither side of the force but she was no great Jedi instead her goal is what makes her truly stand out as a character the death of the force itself this is the story of crear otherwise known as Darth TRAI and quite likely Erin Kay attention sergeant on deck four thousand years before the Clone Wars creo was a Jedi Master and historian a renowned teacher who trained many students even then she sought to understand the nature of the galaxy beyond the teachings of the Jedi and frequently posed questions to her students that made them consider the very nature of the Jedi Order and of the force among her students was that Jedi who became known as revin he was her Padawan and after becoming a knight at the height of the Mandalorian Wars he returned to her after seeking her counsel reven and fellow Jedi Knight Malik defied the wishes of the Jedi Council and went to war with the Republic kreo was blamed for this and exiled and she went on to fight alongside Revan and Malak until the last terrible battle at Malek all five it was believed she died there as had many Jedi but it was not so instead she wanted the galaxy alone in the aftermath of the Jedi civil war in which Revan and Malak returned as Sith Lords to destroy the Republic she followed her form of Padawans path seeking to understand the trail led her back to Malik or five which had become a monstrous world one made into a wound in the force by the sheer horror of the atrocity that happened there on Malachor she discovered the triassic atom II a relic left by the true Sith whose ancient Empire had nearly destroyed the Republic a millennia earlier in the trace Academy she discovered the teachings of these ancient Sith masters teachings not meant for the same they held that the chaotic nature of the universe was a lie a lie the force made all beings live Kriya believed she at last understood what was missing from the teachings of the Jedi and so she fell and took the name Darth TRAI the lord of betrayal one who had been betrayed at heart and would betray in turn she gathered the remnants of reverence if the tattered remains of commando units assassins and Marauders Dark Jedi and the remaining SIF boards to her at Malakal five and from these Sith she took two as her apprentices together forming the Sith tramber eight these were darth nihilus the lord of hunger a rune and the force who consumed a life to sustain his existence and darth sion of the lord of pain a Sith Warrior whose Scott and battered body was held together only through the sheer power of his anger and hate United by hatred the Sith trim her eight orchestrated the first Jedi purge which we've already made a video about so we won't go too deep into it as time drew on and thus it came closer to victory Trey's appearances plotted to betrayer they did so stripping her of the force and exiling her once more in exile she realized the flaws of the Sith teachings and realized the problem lay not with the Sith nor the Jedi but with the force itself and so she sought a means by which to kill the force and she found one in the form of Mitra suruc the Jedi exile a general who under evan had ordered the activation of the mass shadow generator at mallik o5 an atrocity which resulted in her ties to the force being completely severed creo finally found sir akin 3951 BBY she rescued szerik from the republic warship harboring her as darth science if assassins over in it and though her ship the yeoman hawk was badly damaged in the escape t3 m4r evans astromech helped stabilize the crippled vessel and steer it to a mining facility near paris to said facility was subsequently crippled by an HK 50 assassin droid forcing them a new companion add-on ran to seek a means of escape as they did so the Harbinger carrying darth sion docked with the purchase facility they took advantage of this and passed through the harboring er to get to the hawk but not before crea had an encounter with darth sion who cut off her left hand before she escaped suruc crea and company then traveled to Talos for were they discovered a hidden Jedi Academy despite the size of the Academy there was only one Jedi present Atrus the Jedi historian who was the one who got Zurich exiled examination of a traces archives revealed that four other Jedi Masters were known to be alive says KL Kivar Brooke Lemar and learn of Ashe all of whom had been at Zurich stroll Zurich and her companions resolved to seek them out and rebuild the Jedi Order the ever-growing curve the eben hawk traveled to Nishida - Onderon and its moon dachshund - Dan tween and two-carbon gathering the last of the Jedi Masters when the quest was completed crayon Surak returned to den tween where Kivar rock and Zyl had gathered Surak went to face their judgement a second time while creo waited quietly hoping they would see the error in their ways but they didn't they reaffirmed the sentence of exile for suruc and as she had regained her connection to the force they tried to strip it from her once more creo was enraged and she revealed herself to the assembled Jedi Masters crea had trained the Jedi Masters of the force killing them and then having reclaimed her mantle is Darth TRAI she was taken at TELUS by servants of Atreus suruc pursued and fought and defeated Atreus who she realized had fallen to the dark side while on tellus trai drew darth nihilus who suruc destroyed then darth TRAI returned to Mallik or where she bent sion once more to her will crater then used sion and his assassins to lure in suruc who fought and defeated them in the tray academy in the heart of the academy the exile finally confronted TRAI but she was unsuccessful in persuading her to abandon her scheme to use malloc or to destroy the force a battle was fought a barrel that's Zurich won the body of Darth TRAI was destroyed shortly afterwards when the crew of the even Hawker reactivated the mass shadow generator to destroy him a local crear to many is a confusing character when co-taught true first came out she was widely hated though most fans have come to appreciate her with time this is because her philosophy is incredibly complex while the nuances of it are beyond the scope of this video we'll be giving you an overview of cress philosophy enough hopefully to understand the bigger picture of what she believed crea is frequently considered a great Jedi but this is incorrect just as it would be to call her generous if crea is simply crea all labels across the whole spectrum of force sensitives are equally erroneous because her philosophy was not based around one manner of relationship with the force but rather the elimination of that relationship hated the force and in particular she hated the will of the force it is said that the force has a will it has a destiny for us all I wield it but it uses us all and that is abhorrent to me because I hate the force I hate that it seems to have a will that it would control us to achieve some measure of balance when countless lives are lost the Star Wars universe is based around the dichotomy between the light and the dark the balance and the imbalance and the motivations of nearly every star was character line up with this dichotomy but crear alone in the entire expanded universe didn't fall along those lines at all she didn't hate the light nor the dark she hated the dichotomy itself crea hated the force because she soared firstly as something that impeded free will and controlled all living beings and secondly as something that makes those with the potential for greatness weep in her view the forces striving for balance its striving to interconnect all and ensure a sort of harmony stripped all life of free will it prevents it in her eyes beings from reaching their full potential on the surface this sounds a bit dark side ish this is why when she realized this in the Tres academy a Malakoff live she became Darth TRAI and for a time led the Sith but her experiences with Sion and Nicolas expanded upon what she learned and showed her the half of the puzzle the true Sith had never seen for all her hatred of the force she came to rely upon it as Darth TRAI when the force was stripped from her body by Nicholas she finally realized this and in living without the force she came to realize the other half of what would become her philosophy both the Jedi and the Sith believed there was no life without the force and crowd didn't question it when she was part of either order but having the four stripped from her finally led her to see that this assumption was an error when she found Mitra suruc this was confirmed there was life without the force and it was more than that the force weakened those who were sensitive to it force sensitives relied on it so much that when it was stripped from them even the greatest of them were weakened akin to being stripped of sight or hearing and this realization led to another force sensitives were stronger without the force she saw this in herself she saw this in Mitra suruc and this same concept lies the heart of kotor - darth nihilus and darth sion the games other Sith Lords are renowned for their incredible power especially near Hillis one uses the Force to eat entire planets and the other uses the Force to make himself immortal but the point of the game's story and the point of crazed teachings is that this power means nothing Mitra suruc the one who had given up on the force was stronger than they were because she no longer relied upon it and so despite not being nearly as overpowered she was stronger than both Nicholas and Sion because their powers were their weaknesses Nicholas's method of consuming life fell back on him when he didn't feed consuming himself until he became more presence than men and Saiyans power was only as great as his will was the world crier came to envision was one in which power was determined not by the abilities granted by an all-powerful force but by the strength of one's mind and will preyas ideal world innocence would be our world at least theoretically this last realisation resulted in craz master plan she helped Zurich gather the Jedi Masters not because she wanted to kill them but because she hoped they would see what she had seen she hoped that in looking back on Mitra suruc they would see life without the force and give it up her hope was in vain and so she forced them to see it she drained the force from them giving them the choice between the force and death all three of them chose death so she orchestrated events so that Zurich would tie up a loose ends for her and then come to Malik or where she could use the wounds in the force that Zurich and Malik or itself represented to create another far greater wound she planned to inflict a wound in the force so thorough that it would definitely anti galaxy to the force and then she believed the galaxy would be free so that's the story of Kriya the woman who was among both the greatest of Jedi
