oh hi welcome to my channel my name is Luke Fela Mali and today you and I we need to have a [Music] signature in today's episode I will show you how to get along with your new board it won't be an easy task for those of you guys who never stepped on a rolling board before but together today we're gonna make it happen today's episode will be divided into three chapters one how does 10 on a board - how to push to move forward and 3 how to break step 1 find your stance the easiest way is to let yourself fall forward you will notice that naturally either the left foot or the right foot goes forward if it's the left foot that means your left hood is gonna be your front foot so you're gonna be pushing with your right foot then your regular if your right foot goes forward that means your right foot is gonna be your front foot so you're gonna be pushing with your left foot then your goofy step 2 feet placement of course depending on your stance you want to place your front foot on the board the best spot would be right before the truck screws then you'll place your back foot somewhere in the middle of the deck you don't want to leave too much distance between your feet or not enough in order to keep the perfect balance step 3 spirits connection besides the technical steps that you need to go through to get used to the new board you also need to feel the board and establish a sort of trust relationship with it I know it might sound weird but it's the board that you you just chose is the board that will help you evolve and learn the basics and it's the board that will give you joy and freedom trust me I know what I'm talking about chapter 2 how to push to move forward step 1 put your front foot on the board now your back foot is on the ground pointing towards the same direction as your front foot and your weight is perfectly balanced between both legs step 2 you put your weight on your back foot in order to push to move forward once you pushed place your back foot on the board not parallel to the day neither pointing straight I'd recommend to put it diagonally once you've placed your back foot on the board you're going to directly change the placement of your front foot from straight to diagonal step 3 both of your feet are on the board and you're now cruising in the beginning you will not feel confident neither comfortable on the board and that's totally fine don't worry about it you get used to the board much faster than you think don't forget to breathe relax and then your knees remember that your head is your counterweight don't stand straight on the board that position will make you lose balance very quickly a little down with all you must make just beside it always keep your body in a C position that will allow your head to play the counterweight role to keep your whole body balanced while riding there's a chapter 3 how to break find a spot with obstacles it might be walls bricks fancies or a friend whatever step 2 before starting to practice breaking I'd recommend a simple balanced exercise stand on the board push forward then put all your weight on your front foot take your back foot off the board and try to stay balanced on one foot while moving with the board as long as you can now that you mastered the one foot balance leave a large distance between you and the obstacle then booj booj booj then push towards it once you approach the obstacle you will leave your cruising position by getting your front foot back to a straight position don't presume pull off take your back foot off the board bend your front foot and push your back foot toe is the ground progressively when it touches the ground let it slide and put a pressure on it gradually till you totally stop common problem I am is not send it to person on a first breaking tries you might not be comfortable by letting your foot slide gradually on the ground so the result might be you hit in the ground with your foot several times before totally stop everything's fine that's the natural reaction to avoid this or at least to avoid doing it as much as possible remember the one foot balancing the sacks during the breaking learning process everything is about weight transfer so keep in mind to relieve all the weight from your back foot by transferring it on the front foot that will actually give you more confidence while braking and that's it for today's episode hit that like button if you liked the video and subscribe if you haven't already and I'll see you guys on the next one
