The Ultimate Microcamper | VW Caddy Roomtour | DIY

we go welcome back to the Austrian camper my name is Chris and in this video I will show you my camper van which is staying right here let's go [Music] foreign [Music] just a few little stats this car is a Volkswagen Caddy with the long wheelbase it's a maxi it's built in 2014 it has let me guess 110 000 kilometers and yes it's a gasoline car and I bought it about two two and a half years ago so here in the front uh there is I guess nothing special it's a very basic car I get I think I get the most basic one that's available I even have to turn this up but for my for my usage uh it's okay and it was kind of cheap so uh so I live with it here at the passenger seat I have uh all my essentials that are using not almost every day like this this sunscreen uh backpack here my shoes this this is for the yeah you know you know for what's for what that is uh yeah just uh just the basic stuff so here we are at the back of the van the I guess most uh most interesting thing I built all of this in about five five months I do it 90 of myself really proud of it and so I will show you a bit so here I have a little table which is also uh extendable which I'm showing you in a in a few seconds foreign all right then here my power station the suoki G500 it's the like the main battery up from the car battery I only use the car and everything else I'm using at this one as I said uh 500 I can load it with solar I can load it with the normal thing and also with from the car it's very useful it's one of the one of the best things of the car in my opinion so then here's some stuff to store check checks and books some to cover from the from the pad here more storage here I have almost all of my clothes under the bed I have the in the second in the second row I have the stuff for the codes Winters good nights but yeah most of the most of the stuff is here in the in the front here this table for the for the laptop and other stuff you can pull it out and put it here very nice I also have some storage here also the bed is the only thing I bought at IKEA but I have to trim it a bit it was 10 centimeters uh too long so I cut it and then it fits in and then I built everything around it uh also one nice feature of the bed is I can show you in a second but you can oops you can slide it out so you have normally this is two meter by 80 and now you can extend it 20 centimeters which you have to unlock the then also the the same on the back and then I will show you how it goes so now it's extended and you see it's a bit it's a bit more comfortable when you have a someone here so for the most part all of my food I have in this draw here the drawer goes fully to the to the back so I can put almost the full hand inside it's really big so enough space and as I said oops as I said here in the back I have my winter stuff or cold stuff so here we are in the back um here is more storage space for the towers oops I think you can see the shoes it's for a kind of a cooking cooking area this table now a second put like this zip then you have a nice area for the gas stove and cutting things and stuff the windows are isolated also the the full car is isolated with this armaflex I put it in the on the sidewalls in the roof here here also in the in the floor so between the wood and the the car itself so it's I think it's it's good isolated alright guys so now we're here at the roof here is my solar panel it makes me a nice shadow when it's too hot it's 270 meters to 250 meters so it's Arabic here the Box 400 yeah 400 liters of of storage and most of the time I have my dirty clothes in here also the chair and the desk for camping and some some little random stuff also on the roof I have these two roof vents they are not electric or something it's just a steady flow and so you see it on the inside here comes the air in and out or more out than in um it's a good combination with this with my window from the outside and I'll show you also from the inside oops here it's from the inside um you can just open it like this um it also has a thing for the insects protect you from the insects and also a cover for the night and this window and my my two rooftop vents make a big difference in the car for for the ventilation I I just had it I think six months this two and it's crazy it's it's day and night all right guys so I think I've shown you everything if I forgot something please let me know in the comments and yeah thanks for watching see you next time
