hey there welcome to the channel I'm Lees and I hope your week is going well as you're probably aware this past week has seen an explosion of games announcements courtesy of the summer game Fest and IGN live given that there were literally hundreds of games on display at all the showcases this video definitely won't be covering them all instead we're going to take a look at 20 of the biggest most eye-catching announcements a lot of what I'll be covering here are the big AAA titles but there were a surprising amount of doublea and indie games which made it onto the list I'll also be publishing a follow-up video this week which will cover some of the biggest IND announcements if that's more your thing now with that out of the way let's take a look at some of the new games coming our way soon and not so [Music] soon inria the last song is a Souls like from Yama or Jama games I'm really not sure how to pronounce that uh whether an indie Studio out of Italy unsurprisingly the gamees world is inspired by Italian folklore and features rooll altering masks boss battles secrets and all the other souls-like trappings that you would expect I particularly have liked listening to the game score or at least what there is available of it taking straight from the steam page the world has been gripped by the canavio a twisted Eternal play that keeps everything in unnatural stasis you maskless one are the only one without a given role and master of your destiny defeat the Fearsome author that created it and free the world from stagnation by harnessing the power of arter I know some people are getting Souls like fatigue and that's fair enough but I'm looking forward to this one and it launches on September 18th of this year for the PC and the PlayStation 5 back in March it was announced that the Xbox version had been suspended but it may eventually find its way to Xbox players who can tell the first descendant is a third person looter shooter from Nexon games with action RPG elements and a nice sci-fi fantasy aesthetic you'll be able to play this Solo or with three other players As you move from mission to Mission collecting weapons to take down harder and harder enemies and bosses in true looter shooter fashion do note that this is a free-to-play game from Nexon so depending on the monetization method they implement this may or may not be your thing regardless judging it purely from the trailer it looks pretty fun the first descendant launches July 2nd for PC PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One and Xbox series X and [Music] S black myth Wukong is another stunning looking Souls like coming from another Chinese Studio game science a lot of you may have already heard of this one as it's been announced for some time however this week we got a new look at what we can expect as well as a release date playing as the destined one you'll explore Chinese mythology with a story based on the classic piece of literature Journey to the West personally I'll be interested to see if and how the game implements some of the more comedic or satirical aspects of the novel into the game we'll see how that goes regardless black myth Wukong is releasing August 30th this year on PC PlayStation 5 and Xbox series s and X [Music] this next one I'm excited for which says a lot because I am more or less burnt out on turn-based RPGs sandfall interactives CLA obscure Expedition 33 is about going on an expedition to stop a being known as The paintress Who for unknown reasons wakes up every year and paints a new number the problem well everyone whose age matches that number gets Thanos out of existence and it's the player's job to join Expedition 33 to stop the paintress from painting any more death numbers it's a really intriguing plot and the visuals look incredible no definitive word on a launch date aside from sometime in 2025 or specific platforms just yet although it was announced that expedition 33 will be on Game Pass day 1 hopefully we don't have to wait too long to see how this plays [Music] out the next entry into the Assassin's Creed franchise Shadows hardly needs any introduction at this point but this week we retreated to a deeper look at the game playay specifically the combat as had already been established players will take control of either yosuke or bronny Samurai for straight up combat or Nae for a more traditional stealthy approach to the game and if the combat in the trailer is anything to go off of stealth seemed to be back on the menu in a big way now showed off lots of Parkour distractions and even a grappling hook to get around the environment more quickly as well as a number of neat looking stealth takedowns of course this is an Ubisoft game so expect some St Ubisoft mechanics here and there also the monetization is not great also it's not on Steam so there's that Assassin's Creed shadows will be at this November 12th for the PC Mac PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and [Music] S you never know you are a monster until someone comes to slay you Wang Fallen feathers is yet another Eastern inspired Souls light coming out of China can anyone else tell that from soft and sakuro in particular have had a very large impact on the overall games industry it's been 5 years since its release and everyone else is just not catching up this action RPG is set during the mean dynasty and has the player facing off with creatures spawned from a mysterious plague all the usual souls-like tropes are there tough battles weapons to find and upgrade secrets to uncover Etc if you're not sick of souls likes yet then you can pick up wuang Fallen feathers when it launches sometime in 2025 on PC PlayStation 5 Xbox series X ands and Game Pass Cal your Emperor has chosen you as our Envoy to the living lands here's another one that's been announced for a while AOW or as many people think of it obsidian Skyrim however that way of thinking while understandable isn't quite correct earlier this year in an interview with Xbox wire director Carrie Patel reiterated that avow wasn't an open world instead it's a series of connected zones which is a subtle but meaningful difference as many are already where a vow takes place in the living lands and Island set in the world of aora which itself is from the pillars of Eternity franchise you play the part of an outsider sent to the living lands to investigate a spreading sickness lots of plagues and sicknesses going on this year huh and like many obsidian games you can expect plenty of story choices consequences magic and companions to befriend unfortunately avow still doesn't have a concrete release date though it is slated for sometime in 2024 for PC Xbox series X and S and Game Pass fortunately there are currently no PlayStation 5 versions of the game but given Microsoft's aggressive multiplatform push recently ad Wagers Sony and Jers were likely get the game sooner rather than later [Music] possibly emergency at windscale atom plant Adam fall caught me off guard with his Fallout inspired setting however instead of focusing on post-apocalyptic North America America Adam fall takes place in a war torn Britain taking cues from real historical events and British sci-fi players will explore an alternate history quarantine zone 5 years after a nuclear plant experienced some kind of meltdown in the trailer you can see a metal detector being used to scavenge for resources flamethrower wielding robots and idealic British Landscapes and a variety of other worldly locations to boot developer rebellion's alt history Survival action game is set for sometime in 2025 and will be releasing on PC PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One Xbox series s and X as well as game pass your kind meddled where you shouldn't developer a44 games the team behind Ashen an action adventure game that received midling reviews is releasing flint lock the siege of dawn set in a world where gods are destroying everything players will be tasked with stopping the destruction with the help of a turncoat foxlight god named Inky in the trailer you can see Inky augments the player characters combat abilities World traversal skills as well as offering up some lore and World building you'd be forgiven for thinking this was yet another Souls like but a44 games is calling it a Souls light which likely means it won't be quite as punishing as its older sibling in the genre regardless the combat looks great and moving throughout the world looks pretty fun flint lock the siege of dawn is scheduled to launch quite soon this July 18th on PC PlayStation 5 Xbox series X and S and Game Pass the best laid plans of men don't always come to fruition we got our second look at the highly anticipated Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 this week and it's looking to be a worthy successor to warhorse Studios popular 2018 release not a lot was shown off but the newest trailer did show us some of the roller coaster of tragedy comedy and medieval action that we're all expecting no concrete release date was given outside of 2024 but it shouldn't be too much longer until we join Henry and hands on yet another adventure releasing on PC PlayStation 5 Xbox series X ands no word on if it'll be on Game Pass or not but at the moment it's not looking to be the case do you think there's a chance my mom's still alive if you mold anything like you here she'll keep fighting till we find her south of midnight by compulsion games was another one that caught me off guard and immediately had me interested this action adventure fantasy has a really neat art Direction and explores a fairly underrepresented space that of the myths and folklore surrounding the deep south of the US you play as Hazel a weaver who has some kind of power to M the world around her and is in search of her mother after a hurricane wreaked havoc to the surrounding area compulsion games is the same team behind contrast and we happy few both are games that I enjoyed quite a bit so I'm excited to see what they can do with south of midnight when it launches sometime in 2025 on PC Xbox series xns and game pass this is another one with no confirmed Playstation release but I wouldn't be surprised if that changed in the coming [Music] months stalker 2 heart of Chernobyl is finally launching soon and yeah it's been 15 years since the last entry into the series so fans are definitely ready to return to the exclusion Zone the open world firstperson shooter from GSC game world is boasting a 64 km squared explorable area about 25 squ miles for my fellow Americans a variet of interesting environments tons of weapon customization and of course strange but fun Relic powers to find and utilize I'm personally looking forward to experiencing the different Behavior models for mutated creatures according to the devs although you may encounter some of the same monsters in different regions those regions will impact their Ai and how they behave having the same monsters behave differently according to what zone they're in and the environment surrounding them is a really cool concept we'll all be able to return to the exclusion Zone this September 5th on PC Xbox series X ands and Game Pass there were some rumors a while back that stalker 2 would be a timed exclusive before going over to the PlayStation but nothing concrete so far listen up Jack your mission is to infiltrate selino Yas in the Soviet mountains ensure the safety of cirle off and bring him back to the West it's almost here internet well maybe it's hard to say Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater was finally reown off this week and I am so ready for this the original stake eater introduced young leaves to stealth game and I have been addicted ever since the new trailer showed off some very familiar gameplay albeit gorgeously rendered in Unreal Engine 5 from RPG explosions the classic alligator suit and the standard holdup style interrogations I seriously cannot wait for this one but we're all going to have to wait just a little bit longer as the release date is still sometime in 2024 but the day it arrives it'll be on PC PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and S the only thing I'm looking forward to more than Snake Eater is this your target is in possession of a radioactive device stop Carrington's attack at all costs good luck agent you guys have no idea how much I need this to be good I never played the original perfect dark but the only thing I like more than stealth games are immersive Sims I'm sure it's no surprise as to why since stealth builds are almost always featured pretty heavily in those games and if the trailer is anything to go by Perfect Dark is looking to blend first person shooter action with a more immersive Sim F details are still fairly sparse but it looks as if the game will primarily be set in Cairo Egypt after a series of environmental disasters have caused all manner of problems for Humanity Shady Mega corporations future AR Tech lethal and non-lethal weaponry Intrigue story all topped off with some really nice visuals so yeah I'm I'm excited coming from the initiative a new studio announced back in 2018 Perfect Dark will be their first outing and I'm really hoping they can knock it out of the park the game doesn't have a release date yet yet but we do know it's being developed for PC Xbox series X and S and will be on Game Pass day one but again I wouldn't be too surprised if we eventually do see a Playstation release we kill it we break the synaptic connection it's scatter like rats and if you're wrong if it's not there I cannot afford to throw men after a hunch give me two squads three Space Marines that's all I can spare brief them immediately approaching Dr saber interactives hotly anticipated Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 also showed up this week to remind us that it's looking as badass as ever announced back in December of 2021 Space Marine 2 hardly needs an introduction as the internet has been chopping at the bit for it ever since brutal superhuman Space Marines check Relentless swarms of tyranids check bloody executions check Co-op play of course all that's left now is to wait until September 9th for its final release on PC PlayStation 5 Xbox series X and S and Game Pass not looking good old friend this will take more than you and me what are you thinking Dragon Age The Veil guard is yet another Beast of a game that has an eager following ready to get their hands on the next entry into the long running franchise previously titled Dragon Age dreadwolf a far cooler name in my opinion BioWare has said that they wanted to change the name to put the focus on the player rather than the villain fair enough but dread wolf still sounds better although the opening cinematic trailer is a nice teaser the full gameplay reveal won't be in until tomorrow or rather today if you're watching this when it goes live unfortunately I can't put off publishing this video any longer but rest assured I'll cover the full reveal in My Weekly News video this Friday but at this current time all we know is that it's coming soon to PC PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One and Xbox series X ands currently it is not slated for a Game Pass release Gears of War eay surprised the hell out of me I hadn't heard or seen any rumors about this one which doesn't necessarily mean anything I just never came across any gears 5 the last Mainline entry into the franchise came out back in 2019 and received generally favorable reviews but Gears of War eay will be taking us back in time to see how the story began eay is short for emergence day for the uninitiated and represents the day that the Locust attacked kicking off the entire tail currently there's not a lot of information on the newest entry to the gears franchise but I'm thinking maybe I need to rejoin up with margus and Dom and see what I've been missing out on obviously there's no confirmed release date or platforms just yet but I'd be surprised if we see this one before 2025 possibly even 2026 today we celebrate the mystery of American renewal something's going on something big far less surprising than the Gears of War prequel the official reveal for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 happened during this Xbox showcase and what is there to say it's Call of Duty don't get me wrong I know the franchise is insanely popular and if you're one of the long-standing fans hey that's cool but I stopped being excited about these reveals a long long time ago but let's not be a Debbie Downer what is the newest entry bringing to the table oh wait what's this omnidirectional sprinting a campaign with a somewhat interesting premise a simple dialogue system with alternate story paths the return of round-based zombies okay Treyarch Raven you've got my attention tongue and cheek sness aside I was actually pleasantly surprised at this reveal Call of Duty multiplayer was never really my thing though I definitely see it's a pill however I did often enjoy the campaign so I'm really happy to see that this looks like an entry which will return to good form on that front or at least that's my hope in any case what's left to say about Call of Duty at this point you know it if you love it or you hate it we find out just what we've got to work with this October 25th on PC PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One Xbox series X ands and yes Game Pass as well also really interested to see how this game pass maneuver plays out for Microsoft hey new record at the top where it should be let's go n Star Wars Outlaws The game everyone really wants to be great but Ubisoft that's really the bottom line isn't it all we need to say is Ubisoft this is one of the bigger and more anticipated reveals of the entire summer game Fest as the media finally got to go Hands-On with the game so what's the verdict well it seemed to be surprisingly good but again I say surprisingly only because it's an Ubisoft Venture so rather than it being surprisingly good I suppose it would be more accurate to say it's looking good despite being an Ubisoft game developed by Massive entertainment the folks behind the division 1 and 2 as well as the more recent Avatar frontiers of Pandora I suppose it shouldn't be surprising at all that the game is looking to be in decent form those fortunate enough to play the short demo generally plays the feeling of the world combat flying and stealth which make up the core of the gameplay and frankly those are the important bits to get right that said I think this quote from a PC Gamer article kind of sums it up the best you likely played the Ubisoft games that make up Star Wars Outlaws before which is precisely why anytime Ubisoft says they're making an open world game the internet collectively groans because let's be honest Ubisoft hasn't innovated on their formula in a long long time but let's not be too negative because the overall sentiment surrounding the game now that the demo has been out and played seems generally favorable if not Earth shaking that said the game's current monetization just like Assassin's Creed Shadows is a little gross and it's also not on Steam man it is really hard to stay positive about Ubisoft games if you are planning on checking this one out it lands August 30th this year on PC PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and [Music] [Music] S like Dragon Age velard the next Doom game also went through a name change now called Doom the Dark Ages we're getting the prequel treatment as Mr Doom guy will be ripping and tearing through the Middle Ages but what about that lawnmower bladed Shield or the dragon mount looks fun as hell pun intended of course in an interview over on Games Radar creative director Hugo Martin discussed how the idea for sending us back in time came to be at the start of every development cycle I play the original doom again and have the team play it too I realized that we still didn't hit the mark I noticed right away how slow those projectiles move it just dawned on me that that is the maze the movement is more horizontal as you weave your way between projectiles and every projectile mattered in the original Doom if you were an F22 fighter jet and doom Eternal this time around we wanted you to feel like an Abrams tank so there you have it compared to Doom 2016 and doom Eternal you can expect a bit more focused slower paced experience but if you watch the trailer you can rest assured that slower doesn't mean slow by any means it software will be releasing Doom the Dark Ages into the wild sometime in 2025 for PC PlayStation 5 Xbox Box series X and S as well as Game Pass so there you have it the 20 biggest announcements of the overall summer game Fest but as I said at the beginning there were way way more games than this that were announced and despite my excitement for Perfect Dark and Snake Eater most of my favorite games didn't make it on this list so if you're in the same boat tune in later this week because I'm also going to release a ton of indie game coverage that weren't quite as eye-catching but definitely have me excited as always thanks for watching folks and I hope you have a great day [Music]
