The Time Magic Johnson TRASH TALKED Michael Jordan During THE 1992 Dream Team! CRAZY 360 DUNK!!??

the time Magic Johnson talked trash to Michael Jordan yo sup people I'm back here telling you guys another story that hopefully you didn't know about and it's a pretty cool one and I think you guys will enjoy it so hopefully with that being said if you enjoy the video be sure to subscribe and if you want to drop a like that would be awesome anyway he's the time and the only time that Magic Johnson ever talked trash to Michael Jordan now Magic Johnson actually told this story on Jimmy Kimmel last year but I thought I'd break it down and also add some pieces to the story that he didn't have time to tell so we all know that Michael Jordan was a savage on the basketball court not just killing people with any move on the corporate he was a god of trash-talking and arguably the greatest trash talker ever but I would take Larry Bird since some of his stories are pretty insane as well nevertheless Jordan is like I said a complete savage on the cord and he's just straight-out mean like my favorite quote is probably when he told Reggie Miller be sure and be careful you never talk to black Jesus like I'm pretty sure we all know how great he was a trash-talking and obviously he could back it up with this play on the core but on the opposite spectrum we have Magic Johnson he was a quiet character and he wasn't really a trash talker at all but as we all know he was an amazing point guard and well let's just say he let his play do the talking I'm not about talking about winning and that there w's did all my talking magic said he never talked trash only one time in his entire career he especially didn't talk trash to his good friend Michael Jordan well except for this one time and yeah it became his biggest regret which is pretty much what happens any time someone tries to talk trash to Jordan it all started in the 1992 Olympics also known as the dream team which is the greatest team ever assembled I mean 11 Hall of Famers with some of the greatest players to ever play the game not to mention this was pretty much the first time that we would see a team that would feature all these great players on the one team we had never seen a team like them in the Olympics I mean we'd see great players on pigtails but nothing as good as the dream team but the story starts before the Olympic Games it started before all the actual games its noticed the greatest game nobody ever saw as magic said Chuck Daly squid them up into teams the East versus the West first ever time ever talking trash so we're with the dream team okay and for three days in a row we had came into a tie because what coach Daly did he split the team up East versus West so Berkeley Jordan Larry Bird Pippen and Patrick Ewing all played in the East LA and then we had the West guys myself David Robson Malone Mullin Drexler and John Stockton so we would play every day tie so this is the fourth day now these would be the team's throughout all the scrimmages but on the fourth day something happened between Jordan and magic and we got out on them about 12:00 to 2:00 and I said I'm home I'm gonna really rattle his chain so I went over there tapped him on the shoulder say hey man if you don't turn into Air Jordan we don't blow you out today Jimmy his eyes got big usually that term come about right here now it's way out he broke the huddle hit up three and he's looking at me so he came down again hit another three like magic said Jordan had hit back-to-back threes and started looking at Magic Johnson so when magic walked up to MJ and told him he was going to need to turn into Air Jordan well that's exactly what MJ did quickly before we keep going with the story could we just acknowledge how great of a storyteller Magic Johnson is like I don't know what it is but the way he explains things it makes him feel like you're there I don't know he's just a pretty good storyteller anyway magic goes on to say that he's seen three of the greatest shots in NBA history he talks about dr. J's crazy lair he talks about the mid hand switch by Martin Jordan in the NBA Finals against Magic Johnson and he talks about this last play unfortunately there's no actual footage of what Magic says and to be honest with you it's pretty hard to believe what he says but no one ever denied this statement by Magic Johnson so I assume it's true here's what he said and once again sorry for no footage of the dunk but like I said magic is that great of a storyteller that it always feels like you're there so the greatest shot now I've been involved in all three of them first dr. J walked out in air out of bounds oh yeah reverse layup under up under right Michael Jordan in 1991 came down on us with the right hand tongue out he switched in midair to the left against the glass now this is the greatest shot I see he came down the right side took off David Robinson took off and he said okay I'm gonna sit here in there because I know David Robson is gonna go down Dave Robinson went to the ground he 360 tongue moving and dunked it in a reactor in a practice game and I was like oh my goodness and I was just stunning all of us was stunned to see me hang in the air that long and 360 Michael Jordan is so incredible they'll never be immoralist you should not talk trash to Michael joy thanks 360 you mean like it was like fall like this all the way like I said before is pretty hard to believe that story is truth I mean that is such a crazy dunk on a pretty good shot blocker David Robinson was not a bad defender but the reason why I believe is true is because number one it's Michael Jordan then we know how athletic he was number two and this is the main reason no player has ever denied what he said not even David Robinson and number three this may be a feeling that I have but I'm sure that Robertson or the Olympic team would have paid to get rid of the footage of that dunk not because of the dunk itself but we know how the media would have actually handled something like that it would have been insane now I don't know why but that's just my theory but yeah like I said the main reason is because not even David Robinson the man who got 360 dunk done ever denied that statement so it obviously happened if he didn't deny it it's pretty crazy the way the magic described it though now this is actually where the story ends with the interview of magic and Jimmy Kimmel but I did some extra research and wanted to find out exactly what happened with the rest of the game now what I found is some pretty cool information but I can't tell you exactly if it's what happened in that exact scrimmage or is the next grammage the next day this game was more than just a game it was a game about pride the game turned into Jordan verse magic and it was a battle of magic who was the alpha dog and didn't want to surrender his position and Jordan who was the new guy in town looking to become king like I said it's unclear if it's the exact game but Jordan recalled on 2010 NBA TV documentary the Dream Team that one particular scrimmage was the best game I've ever played it citing the competitiveness of 10 Hall of Fame players going against each other Johnson said in the documentary that after the game Jordan walked into a room and told him and Larry Bird the thirst of new sheriff in town and they admitted there was Michael Jordan was now the king of the NBA and that was nothing the magic or bird could do about it Larry and I were talking and Michael walks in and he says there's a new sheriff in town and we both hit each other like well he's not now that's a pretty crazy story if you ask me magic talks trash just one time in his entire career and of course it's - Michael Jordan who gets furious turns it into something else he does a 360 dunk or David Robertson and then goes on to dominate the scrimmage and this was the turning point when all the plays including magic and bird really knew who the best player in the league was the one thing I wish we could have seen is obviously that dunk by MJ on Robertson but no footage of that incident is out from my knowledge which is pretty sad because that sounds like such a mean dunk and I hope you guys enjoy the video I will say if you haven't watched the 1992 Dream Team documentary I'll put a link in the description with the highest quality that I found it's one of the best documentaries that I've ever watched and I just thought it was dope like this is the 1992 Dream Team of course we've had other Dream Team type teams like the 2012 team but they're not the trained team this is the real dream team this is such a cool team and it's crazy because back in the 1990s though it's a lot of competitiveness and it was more rough and tough and you didn't like some of these players like if you didn't know about Isaiah Thomas not making it onto the dream team that's it that's the story that you should look at yourself I don't know if I should make a video on that but if you didn't know about Isaiah Thomas he got kicked off the drape well he was never on the dream team because Michael Jordan didn't want him on the dream team because of the rivalry between the Pistons and the Bulls no I was something crazy that's why Isaiah Thomas was never on that dream team but yeah just something something that I guess we wouldn't really say in today's NBA few dollar mean but anyway you guys enjoy the video please subscribe for more videos just like this and couple some of your own ideas that you'd like me to make a video on like I said if you want to watch the what-if video check it out links in the description and if you want to leave a lack of the video that will be amazing let's see if we can reach 3000 likes for my next video and I'll catch you guys there peace this game was more than just a game it was a game oh [Music] you
