Their personalities are so different. MJ is awful at small talk and, as always, overly competitive; Chuck is so authentic. Over the course of the interview he makes fun of MJ and himself, tells MJ he loves him, gives him sincere compliments. It's a fun throwback interview.
This is why I love r/NBA. I get to see the off-court stuff I vaguely remember as a child.
If this interview had happened in the post-smartphone age between like LeBron and some all-time great whoβd never won it all and was drafted a few years before him (but was part of his βeraβ), itβd break the sub, ESPN, NBA Twitter, and anything that touches the professional game. The Space-Jam connection makes this all the more beautiful though, and itβs the sauce for the best MJ interview gif in existence
So that's where the laughing gif is from!
Chuck oozes charisma. What a great conversationalist
Jordan gets a bit sensitive throughout the interview.
They love each other they are boyz, it's great to see MJ's subtle lighter side for once.
This video just encapsulates everything I love about Barkley. Jordan brings up Chuck's new shitty golf form and Chuck just shits on himself even harder to make everyone laugh.
MJ is super used to people laughing at his jokes no matter what, he doesn't know the difference between roasting and just saying mean stuff that isn't funny.
What ever happened to Jordan's shoe and apparel line? Did he make any money?
