my bro [Music] [Music] it's just that any normal race weekend morning we're all set for round six or the air for British Championships I don't know whether I can talk about all of that lights out away we go Jamie Cameron's gonna try to guys underneath Network battling and it's men last-minute make without away at first I don't feel any pain for the adrenaline was going I was almost ready to kind of undo my belts and try and jump out the car he was conscious he was talking and it was nice to be there and just so he had someone there everyone else was freaking out the worst thing I could have done is go over there and been panicking because that would have made him panic I don't remember anything after that for three days thing the way I see it - news basically and woke up and my injuries were like they were you expect that you wake up your legs aren't there anymore and you go into some mass panic but they never already happened like that for me I remember talking to him and having that conversation with him that you've lost your legs and you know he knew I remember him gripping my hand as much to say it's okay you know now you've got to tell me these things but I know and he sort of made it very easy really incredible absolute incredible [Music] I've never met anybody like really you know he with a was laugh and joke just from the very very beginning with you and he was just he made everything so much easier to work with his I must say that time with him when he was here was very special yes it was lovely I definitely wanna take the positives out this and make sure that I use it in a positive way for the rest of my life now still got a few years left in me for sure it's all been since the crash all been about being able to get back behind the wheel of a race car and get back feeling speedor which I love so much obviously it was a sad time but it's you know I don't see how being being upset forever is gonna make a difference really I thought she don't know what I do if I couldn't race again that would be sort of devastating [Music] I just started off without doing any gears just in front and brakes and kind of just getting the feel of driving a car using your hands what we then see of course is this incredible transformation it sped up it's just staggering you know it's I've never known anything like it [Music] if you're not providing the results that is required you're out there it's very brutal in that respect because I haven't got legs the rest of the me needs to be stronger and fitter than any other driver [Music] today's the day that I'm going to test the nearly what if I curl I'm only nervous because I want it to go well not because I'm nervous of driving the car this car is more powerful than anything I've ever driven before the nicest thing for me but I Drive this unless you know me you don't know what's happened to me which I like [Music] it's not only back in a car he's just lit it up out there Gary's right on freon back to what I love [Music] I didn't forget all the times as quickly as I did on those whom they don't wonder ways done before no they weren't and I was so shocked but English Australian pays - actually yet let's go out there and do what I've been saying about when I do since that's true that's that's been dead oh yeah the small of my face when I wasn't on the helmet here like a Cheshire Cat [Music]

I wish I had Billy's whizz of a positive attitude. I'm 48 and look up to this kid. A real inspiration.

He is such an inspiration, his positivity and attitude towards such a life changing incident totally just blows me away.

And, although he said he never cried, you know there much be such sadness and frustration when he first came back to Brands Hatch and watched the other cars whizz by. But the thing was, he never let the sadness and frustration get him down.

I am such a wuss, but I was wiping tears away in the last 10 minutes of that documentary.

I truly hope we will see him in F1 one day, he is just way too talented not to.
