all right everybody we are back out here on the snake pond job day three and i'm hoping to get this job done today we're gonna start here at this corner there's a couple things i'm gonna clean up right through here whatever i can reach this is like a big big whole embankment thing down in here that is just i mean you see it's washing out it's already eroded pretty good right there so i'm gonna try to reach some of this and we'll see if i can reach some of that i don't i don't know maybe i can pull up right there um and just work my way around getting what i can it's pretty wet out here which is kind of good it'll keep the dust down we got about a half inch rain yesterday which was great we really needed it we've been in a burn ban for oh man like a month now at least so i'm gonna try to chew some of that down too clean it up and work our way around and really all that's left is just a there's a little bit of patch on this side maybe 10 20 yard 10 20 yards of stuff that's right over there it's really small and then that last section of that back backside over there which is probably 300 feet and that's really it so we don't have a whole lot left to do here today there's a over there too you can kind of see it and i'll show you guys better maybe towards the end of the day that goes along there that last 300 feet or so that patch there is so there's like the road so like the pond the the embankment then sort of like the road trail and then there's a ditch that goes down like this and then comes back up and then there's the field and all that that whole ditch is completely overgrown with mostly gum trees and they're pretty sizable and that's another 300 feet or so that he'd wanted cleared out but after the end of the day i'm pretty much going to be at his budget for this job so i'm going to talk to him about that see if he wants to do that as well and if he does you know i'll come back and i'm going to finish up a few more jobs and then i'll come back maybe in a week or two but he might want to leave it i'm thinking that's probably another two days worth of work so we'll see because it's it's thick and it's wide and there's some big stuff in there so that's where we're at we'll see if we see any snakes today it got really cold last night it was down into the 40s it's like 55 right now when that cold front pushing that rain through so maybe as the sun comes supposed to be a beautiful day maybe a little breezy but as the sun comes up we might see some snakes laying out we'll see i haven't seen any yet so far this morning but uh i sharpened the teeth got everything greased up hopefully that squeak is gone and we'll find out pretty quick as i start using it but i greased everything really good pump grease and everything and i got all that greased out and we'll see i got the teeth sharpened and i picked up five extra teeth yesterday i went down to richardson service and just in case i chunk one of these teeth or that one breaks any further i can change them out and uh so i've got some backups if i need them these teeth are 27 apiece by the way so five of them with tax was a right at dead on 150 so not cheap so all right let's get started so [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] um so so so [Music] so so [Music] so [Music] oh so so so so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] so [Music] so so so so so [Music] so so so so so so do [Music] so so so so so so so so so [Music] uh all right so the wind's picking up a little bit no snakes so far good thing we got some geeses over there and i got all this done right through here there's a few things that i left because i honestly couldn't get to them i'm going to show you guys these holes through here and i couldn't get to that some of these trees i'm going to leave because they're actually what's kind of holding the ground in place but this is why i mean look at all this this has all been hollowed out up underneath here that's a big hole there there's a hole and they come pretty far out and there's a massive one here so this has all been hollowed out through here by the muskrats or beavers or whatever i think muskrats mostly do this there's another one here so i mean that's 15 feet from the bank right there that's how far this car there's another one right here that's 20 feet i think that one's collapsed but this is all just a mishmash of holes so i couldn't get the machine to get any of this right here so but honestly the root system of some of this stuff here is actually what is holding the ground in place on the bank so like that tree there i left some of those trees there to try to kind of help hold things in place so there's a few other trees over there holding things in place as well so really pretty little red maple right there so but yeah i'm gonna clean this line up this is just some gums and some wax myrtles right through here probably i don't know 10 15 yards of stuff and then we got all that down through there to get as well that's probably 100 yards ish i mean yeah that's probably about that maybe 75. so that'll be that let's get to it [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's not a game [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh yeah players we are done with this job at least i think we're done the client is on his way out here to meet me take a look at everything he called me about an hour and a half or so ago and uh he should be coming out and take a look but i think we're done so here's a stand out here on this point and you kind of get a good idea of the whole pond from here so stand right here and let you guys take a look real quick so that's it this is that little ditch swail thing that uh the owner wanted me to cut as well but it was kind of one of those things like do the pond and then you know if there's still money left kind of in the budget you know we'll we'll do this too but i'm right at about close to the upper end of his budget so i'm thinking i mean this is thick in here and it's wide it it kind of comes to a point at both ends like right here and right down there and i walk down but in the middle of it that's probably i mean i can't really see all the way through there but that's i can't see the other side through there it's got to be 50 75 feet and it's a ways in there and there's some big trees in there there's some stuff i would not be able to take out like that big willow right there but it's it's thick and it's kind of a mess in there so and it's it's low i mean the ground is kind of a mess it's low could be water in there but yeah that would probably take two to three days to cut all that in there i'm guessing it could be take longer and it's that's a mess in there for sure and i i mean it's hard for me to tell because i can't i can't really see it so walk to this end down here this is kind of where it comes to a point and it doesn't look that bad when you get down here it's like oh this is just a little ditch right here i mean you can see through it right there and that's just a little ditch and then it just like you know out to the sides so it kind of just comes to this little points on two ends but it's thick through there we can we can't cross that ditch from this side but it uh yeah so i don't know what he wants to do i don't even know if i can get the machine down in there maybe one of those things where i just have to like cut it from both sides and just go in like this and just reach in there as far as i can like right here i could probably get both sides easily and clear all that and then as it widens it might get a little more you know sketchy about whether i can get all the way down in there or not i really don't know it's so thick it is a just an ocean of gum trees in there mostly what that is in there we have a real problem with gum trees here in a lot of areas because they get into little areas like this and if you let them go for a couple years they just take over and then they go from being little sprouty things almost like weeds to full grown almost like 20 foot 25 foot trees and it's like oh that's that's not gonna be easy so no snakes today not a one so i did see some uh turtle and those geese i was surprised i didn't see any snakes laying out but maybe that's a good thing but it's been a beautiful day today a little breezy but gorgeous loving the weather today and so this job is done as long as i'm gonna try we'll walk down here i'm gonna track the machine i'm gonna try to pull that tree out that the beavers dropped in there i don't know it's a big tree and it's waterlogged now so i don't know if i can get it out or not we'll see i don't have the bucket with me it's hard to carry it's almost impossible to carry the bucket the mulcher and the mtl cutter all on the trailer you can't do it so all right well maybe i can get the drone out for a minute we'll see so but this job is a wrap appreciate you guys watching more stuff to come and i'll check you later
