chapter three uh verse number one the Bible says that Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law the priests of Midian and he led the flock to the backside of the desert and came to the Mountain of God even to Horeb and the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush and he looked and behold the bush burned with fire but the Bush was not consumed and Moses said I will now turn aside and see this great sight I want to see why the bush is not burnt and when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see God called unto him out of the midst of the Bush and said Moses Moses and he said here am I and he said draw not nigh hi hither [Music] put off their shoes from off thy feet repeat after me for the place where on thou standest is Holy Ground [Music] moreover he said I am the god of thy father the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and the god of Jacob and Moses hid his face for he was afraid to look upon God and the Lord said I have surely seen the Affliction of my people which are in Egypt [Music] and have heard their crying by reason of their taskmasters for I know their sorrows and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptian and to bring them up out of the land unto a good land and a large land unto a land flowing with milk and honey unto the place of the Canaanite and the hittite and the Amorite and the parasite and the hipite and the jebusite here it is verse 9. now therefore behold The Cry of the children of Israel The Cry of the children of the cry out conference [Applause] has come up to me and I have seen the oppression that they have been going through come now therefore and I will send thee unto pharaoh thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel God is saying I finally heard you cry [Music] and because you cried I'm going to come down [Music] and I'm going to see about you today's word I need you to focus on what I'm going to say not as a message but as a diagnosis to why you haven't seen the move of God in your life yet it is because of what I am going to call the silent cycle that's what I want to preach about this morning the silent cycle Spirit of the Living God fall fresh upon me [Music] Spirit of the Living God fall fresh upon me eternal spirit that's once again that I come asking for your permission to preach order my steps in your word hide me behind the cross cover me in your blood in Jesus name we pray everybody shout amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord um how many pet lovers do we have in the house anybody we didn't grow up with pets in our house I've never lived with a dog my whole life I've never lived with nor do I have the desire to nor will I ever live with a cat you can write what you want to write about me they can stay at your house they can't come to mind my godmother had a catch that thing used to sneak in the refrigerator and eat cheese on its own had to be looking at you from across the room like he like you in his house or I'll take that back we did have a pet a goldfish I have killed more goldfish in my lifetime than I care to be transparent about my mother was judicious in making sure that our aquarium was cleaned she even brought these other fish that ate the stuff that the other fish would leave behind and the algae off the side of the how many of y'all had that kind of fish tank with the little filter and a little bubble coming out of it and get the little flakes of food and you you ration it well my mother used to put plants in the fish tank I thought it was for the fish to have a beautiful home I thought it was like Landscaping I I thought it was to give them something to do not to be bored things to swim around to increase their property value I literally looked at that stuff as curb appeal I had no idea that putting plants in an aquarium is actually defined as the silent cycle you can look it up whenever you add plants to Aquatic environments it is called the silent cycle because there are some plants that will dispose of bacteria without a noise without effort without trying it's just there doing what it does silently ammonia will begin to build up in the water and there are certain plants that are placed in the water to take away the bacteria and the ammonia to ensure that the fish do not suffocate and let me tell you ammonia is so dangerous that if given in a concentrated form it would be deadly to us so these plants follow me are put inside of the environment to clean up the mess silently now you could also have light but but the light you could hear the hum and you can have the bubbles and you will hear the water percolate but the plants make no sound standing there waving in the water doing its job not only doing his job but doing it silently and it was until I became older that I recognized that as a people we have a silent cycle where we allow mess to go on in our homes and in our lives and we say nothing about it only 18 percent of women who are raped reported because somehow Society has caused women to believe that they won't be believed which keeps them silent about something that at 45 years old you're still dealing with like it happened yesterday oh and by the way one in every five women and one in every 16 men in college have been molested this year and having said a word about it you see how quiet it is right now only 11 percent of children who have been sexually assaulted by a family member has ever been reported why because somebody said what goes on in this house stays in this house we have been taught to be silent now I'm not trying to put my mom out there but I know y'all Mama did the same thing my mama used to beat my butt and then told me to shut up she literally would whoop me and then I will cry she said oh you want me to give you something [Applause] mama you have accomplished that goal [Applause] now I grew up old school see see y'all believe in time out and you believe Johnny I'm going to take your PlayStation 2 away from you for three days and you're not going to get the new Jordans I'm going to get you some Air Force Ones I'm going to punish you I'm going to punish you Johnny you're you're not going to get you're not going to get Balenciaga I'm going to punish you I'm going to get you coach you didn't eat your brussels sprouts you didn't eat you didn't eat your green beans and so you're not getting McDonald's for two days y'all believe in timeout we got our butt kicked [Applause] how many y'all from that generation my mama said I don't whip clothes [Applause] oh no my mama didn't work no clothes and I got smart I used to put on clothes under my clothes she knew she knew my mama was a gang so let me tell you what she do she knew me she knew she would wait until I went to sleep at night then she would come in the room saying uh-huh you thought I forgot let me tell you my prayer life was built in between whoopings and sleep I have prayed more Lord let my mama fall asleep and let her forget what I did I have prayed that prayer more than I prayed anything in my entire life what goes on in this house stays in this house can I just give you my testimony my father I couldn't even tell anybody who he was because I was in the silent cycle because if I broke my silence I was going to break his career and so I had to stay silent for 30 years about how I was born because I was taught to shut my mouth and some of you all in here today you've been taught to be silent and let me tell you why you have been taught to sign I I'm not blaming my mother because of how she spanked me why did she whoop me and tell me to be quiet because her parents whipped her and told her to be quiet why did her parents whoop her and tell her to be quiet because their parents whipped them and told them to be quiet and why did my great-great-grandfather what my grandfather and why did he tell him to be quiet because his father was a slave and the side effects of slavery is take this punishment and shut your mouth and let me tell you something the reason why Israel has not said anything for 400 years is because they are slaves and the reason why black and brown people have taken what has happened to us and not said anything is because we've been taught to be silent by slaves [Applause] what you are dealing with is a generational curse where your great great great great Grandmama will remember that if she dropped her egg she would be whipped and so she taught her daughter don't mess with the master and she taught her daughter and she taught her son to be quiet and your mama taught you to do the same my mother used to bake this ham when we were growing up and and she would put this I don't know how to cook Mama tell you I'm gonna describe what it looked like it was a ham with pineapples and red stuff coming down it and these little black unedible things what is it yeah she would put them in there why flavor okay I promise you ham got enough flavor all by itself and she used to cut it and put it in the pan and throw the edges away and I remember asking my granddaddy my Granddaddy's name was Eddie Hawthorne smooth his eyes Twice As Nice Never Had a Bad Day in his life had a 1979 Canary Cadillac with white interior y'all ain't talking to me with Daytons y'all remember Dayton's white wall tires and he washed it every day and I said granddaddy well mama told me to ask you why she cut the ham off because her mama did it I said why did why did Grandma cut the edges off to him he said cause her mama did it and then I kept inquiring and asking and once I got to the place where he could go far as far back as he could he said the reason why my mama cut the edges off of the ham is because her pan wasn't big enough to put the whole ham in it but here my mom is cutting the edges off of her ham and her pot is big enough but she's cutting it off because it's a generational cycle that has been passed down to her and there are a lot of you all in here right now you have coping mechanisms you think it's healthy it's generational you you think it's God but it's been passed down to you and God sent me here this weekend and asked you to come because by the time we finish today we're gonna break these curses and we gonna break the silence we are not going to teach our daughters to be cited like we were we're not going to teach our sons to be subservient like we were yes you ought to be respectful and yes you are to be humble but you got to use your voice because it is the only thing that God is going to respond to and so we are doing things generationally because it's been passed down to us and we're silent because we've been taught don't talk when grown folks talking shut your mouth don't speak unless spoken to come on y'all don't see look at how many look at how many parents in here right now just feeling bad ain't no need to feel bad you will talk to us by people who were taught this by people who were taught this and now we're raising a generation of kids who talk when they're not supposed to be talking and now they're quiet when they should speak up so now they're talking in class but won't speak when they're molested which is why now they live their life in front of a camera telling the whole world see me I'm struggling I hate it here I don't like my family because they can't sit down at the dinner table and talk to you about it now we're finding our sons with ropes around their necks and our daughters with pills in their system because they feel like they cannot talk to us and we don't recognize that they don't feel like they can talk to us because we think we're open but how can you been how can you be open when you were born to somebody who was closed how do you think you are any different then the thing that you have been spawned from no matter what you think you are similar to the thing that raised you and I know you think you've changed but change is not predicated upon what you think of yourself change is only changed when somebody outside of you can recognize it oh I'm gonna be in here today y'all son for an hour y'all gonna give me a few minutes and so we've come everybody repeat after me to the burning bush and we've come to the burning bush which is not just a bush it took me a while to see this that this was not a bush this was a signal this was a signal for Israel that the silence was about to break oh God help me in this place today it was a signal everybody say that better days are coming I wonder is there anybody in here that even though you can't identify you just feel that better days who am I talking to you don't have no evidence you don't have no check in the mail you don't have a direct message you don't have nothing to point to you don't have protect you just feel like somebody say I feel like Dave's about to get better I feel it I feel it I feel it matter of fact testify to everybody in your hotel and better days are coming now and if you're and if your neighbor hasn't said anything to you let me just help you arrest him say neighbor this is a praising section so if you don't intend to say nothing go take those empty seats over there but as for me and my role we gonna praise the Lord that you're not gonna sit here in a sermon about silence and still be silent I'm looking for somebody on my road that's going to break the silence in our life and set ourself up for God to take us out of Egypt into the promised land do I have any Canaanites in the room that recognize that you are going to a landfilled with the bill somebody say get in the flow get in the flow get in the flow what am I saying because see sometimes Pastor Raymond sometimes you can miss the moment because you can't read the signal have you ever heard the statement read the room have you ever been around people they they don't know that it ain't okay to be like that right now that is it's not okay when the room is full of energy and they're sitting there like a lump on the law or when things are serious and and they're playing that there's sometimes you have to adjust to the environment oh God help me in this place today and and and and and the Bush was a signal that something was about to change how do I know verse two the Bible says and the angel of the Lord appeared unto Moses watch this somebody about to shout in this place you hear me the angel of the Lord came to Moses and the Bible says that when it came to pass in the process of time I love the Bible the king of Egypt you read your Bible too has died now that may not mean nothing to you that may not mean nothing to you unless you know context because the king of Egypt is a metaphor for pharaoh and Pharaoh wanted to kill Moses and Moses has just got the message that the man that wanted him dead is now dead slap your neighbor say neighbor God told me to tell you you gonna Outlast your enemy for somebody over here I prophesy that everything that wants you dead is going to die before you do snap your neighbor say I will live and not somebody shot is gonna die before I do I promise you it's gonna die before I do I might cry but I ain't gonna die I might slap somebody but I'm not gonna die I might curse you out but I'm not gonna die I might act unsaved but I'm not cold top [Music] foreign [Music] of Egypt is dead and the man he wanted Dead is about to get a promotion [Applause] Moses has been in Midian for 40 years every application he's filled out has been passed couldn't get a job nowhere the Lord says Moses the reason why I haven't hired you yet is because at 40 years old you would have still been depending on your strength so I had to wait until you were 80. listen I had to wait until you felt like a failure I had to wait until you felt unworthy I had to wait until you got through the divorce I had to wait until you got over the abortion come on holler at me I had to wait then because it was only then that you were vulnerable enough to trust me [Applause] God can hire you when you still trust you because if he hires you why why you still trust you then you will not attribute what has happened in your life to him so he waits until you ain't got no money no boo about to get evicted car about to be repossessed heart is broken and then God says come here foreign that I can become strong [Applause] come here Moses you feel like a failure I got a job for you come here Moses you humble I can you see the only difference between Chandler and another artist is his heart oh look he ain't the only one that can sing he ain't the only one that can write songs but it's his posture that God can trust and let me tell you something it ain't that God can't trust you he can't trust the position of your heart your heart is not in the right place to be elevated so you can stay right where you are with your stinking heart I'm looking for somebody who'll say it's not my mother not my father but it's me oh Lord I promise you if you give me a chance I'll respect my elders if you give me an opportunity I'll never will shall forget what you've done for me that's why David was able to be King created me a clean heart and I I don't know how to get people to understand that your talent will never get you where you want to go look at your neighbor and say don't nobody care how good you are don't nobody care don't nobody care how cute you are don't nobody care that you got your real hair and it's wavy and you got your own baby hair don't nobody care that you ain't got freckles don't nobody care that you ain't got acne God says give me a freckled face acne face nap your head to somebody who will give me Glory I'll put them on the stage put a spotlight on them and take them all over the world slap your neighbors I might not be cute to you but I'm anointed I might not be your type but I'm God's type you might not want to date me who told you I didn't want to be single I'm looking for somebody who will shout in this place and say God you speak [Music] and it came in the process of time that the man that wanted Moses dead is now dead and Moses is about to get a promotion do you hear the words that are coming out of my mouth and the Bible says that a new king is on the throne listen to me it literally says that God Brandon was actually into his process and plan was that that Pharaoh would die but he couldn't die until God finished using him so that means now Moses has to wait on something else to die before he can walk in his promise they that wait on the Lord now there is a new King on the throne he ain't a fan of Moses but he don't hate him like the other one did are you are you are you tracking with me and now Moses is about to get the job I'm trying to get this in your spirit don't complain if you have to wait sometimes it means that God is dealing with the thing that was going to try to kill you if you had gotten there early oh God help me so sometimes you feel like God ain't hearing you what you don't know is he's dealing with the thing that the devil assigned to kill you so God says let me kill the thing that wants to kill you so I can give you life and give it to you more abundantly I need about 30 people in this room to shout why God kills your enemies [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] now now when I say enemies I'm not just talking about people I'm talking about anything that comes up against you and your destiny I'm talking about the enemy that ADHD was going to keep your child from getting what God is dealing with Down syndrome and ADHD and heart attacks and tumors and cancer he's dealing with the enemies of cops people I don't know why the Lord just told me to tell you this there's a mother in this room your child right now cannot speak because of an impediment God says I'm about to deal with the thing that has taken their speech out of them and your child shall speak I don't know who I'm talking to tell somebody my child is going to speak what's this oh [Applause] my God I feel like it's over here I feel like it's over here I feel like it's over here your child shall speak foreign [Music] [Music] see I live alone yeah see all right listen to me am I helping anybody [Applause] [Music] listen to me please hear me can you hear me okay God didn't send Moses to Israel yet and when I say Israel I'm not talking about geographically I'm talking about the people let me tell you why Stephanie the reason why he hasn't sent him there yet is because they not ready for him [Music] see sometimes you ready for it but it [Music] they still complaining they're still in their feelings they're still not able to bring their thoughts into captivity so what would happen if Moses got to the opportunity and he was ready but the opportunity wasn't ready for help I'll tell you what happens you strike a rock and you don't get into the promising that is why Joshua was able to get in because the people were ready and Joshua's was ready Moses wasn't ready and he couldn't get in so sometimes God is working on it while he's working on you and he's not listen how many of you all have children in here that are begging for a car how many are like uh I can get them something but they ain't you can't make your bed how you gonna drive [Applause] Come on talk to me somebody [Applause] you can't turn the lights off at night how you gonna turn the car on in the day I'm not saying that you're gonna buy him a Range Rover I mean you're gonna get them that every every parent in here you're gonna buy your car at least you should buy them one that you know they're gonna mess up which means it should be a little messed up already when you give it to them my first call with my sister we had a 1991 Ford Escort navy blue with rust on the bottom a hole in the back seat because we were like The Flintstones I literally could yabba dabba do that thing [Applause] I never forget my mother told me she when she got me our car now after that she got me watch this a 1986 Lincoln Continental Diamond in the Back sunroof top [Applause] well I get that car mom you gave it to me like uh that morning I drove to school you called me she called me because at that time we have cell phones she had my coach she called my coach at the school she said Tell Keon don't get in a car accident because the insurance will not take effect until four o'clock in the afternoon well on the same day I got the car I got hit by a drunk driver drunk driver hit me I got four of my teammates in the car with me he hits us knocks us off the road bounces off of us runs into a bus stop through the bus stop and into a lady's living room I thought we died not because of the car my mama told me see worse than a car accident I thought I survived this and she is going to kill me so I got to tell you what I did because confession is good for the soul so I get up to the car and the man has a beer in his lap and he sees me coming so he locks his car door starts drinking his beer and laughing at me so I went to the passenger side where he couldn't reach open that door reached across him unlocked his door opened his door let me get back to the sermon I will not incriminate myself but I did everything that I wanted to do that day y'all pray with me I didn't know to cry out then [Applause] don't complain if you have to wait because sometimes it means that God is dealing with the thing that would have tried to kill you if you had arrived too early God Was preparing Moses to deliver Israel but they wasn't ready to leave Egypt you remember they said why you brought us out here to die we hungry Moses we thirsty you should have just left us in bondage let me tell you something you got to be careful using all your energy trying to bring some people out they like it where they are [Applause] come on now how many of y'all I got that kind of heart uh where's kg smooth we were just talking about this I got this kind of hard I always want to save everybody and and I let them do me any kind of way and here I am praying overnight I'm grown now if I if you don't understand I'm sorry when I told you this time kick rocks and I'm not about to spend the next 10 years telling you I'm sorry you know why because you like it there [Applause] the Bible says that people take offense oh you missed what I just said the Bible says we take offense we like to blame people for offending us you can never be offended you have to take offense let me give you what I think the definition of bondage is y'all ready for this you ain't gonna find us in the dictionary this is this is me if the children of Israel didn't want to leave when God through Moses told them that it was time to go then I surmised that the definition of bondage is when it's your time to leave but you have a desire to stay I know y'all want to act perfect but anybody ever heard that voice in your ear say you know what you better leave that alone but here you are stand longer foreign like no fake people yup I said don't buy that car but I work hard I deserve it now you're struggling every day to play the note God said rent one more year but the preacher said I should own that wasn't your word baby that was somebody else's word the definition of bondage is when it's your time to leave but you still have a desire to stay and some of y'all are here you won't be honest I know you won't be honest or you got in this environment and you feel like you can take on the world problem is ain't none of us going to be in your living room when you get home we ain't gonna be in your car like this is the amazing thing about corporate energy but the problem with it is is if you don't transpose it and take it with you when you get home you're gonna have to change that environment or that environment is going to defeat you and beat you right back into your former frame of mind so you're gonna have to break away with the desire to even want to be in the bondage and the Captivity that is currently holding you back Moses was in median in what I am calling the silent cycle God wasn't speaking to him and he wasn't speaking to God and the reason God did not speak to Moses it's because the thing that he had for Moses wasn't ready for him and for 40 years he waited see we think it ain't God when we got to wait just because the Bible uses words like swiftly and immediately and straightway and it came to pass and it also said after 40 days and after 40 years because sometimes you have to wait and for 40 years he didn't get a clue that God was moving until one day he was out walking is that a bush that's burning that won't burn up that's odd Ain't No Other bush is on fire right here who set this bush on fire no it had to be Joshua where you at bush is on fire and it's not consumed and as I told you in the beginning I realized that the Bush was not a bush it was a signal a signal and a picture that the Bush was a representation of Israel that like the bush wasn't consumed by the fire no matter what Egypt did to Israel they could not destroy them the Bush was a signal that no weapon formed against you oh God help me in this place it's going to be able to prosper and the Bible says in Exodus 2 and 23 and the children of Israel groaned because of their slave labor and they cried out to God and their desperate Cry came up to God let's get done with this sermon because the only reason the children of Israel stayed in bondage for four centuries is because they never shouted loud enough the Bible says when their cry finally reached up to me I came down okay let me say it another way when Praises go up [Applause] blessings come down and what you got to learn is that praise is not a Sunday morning exercise I need thee every hour you're gonna have to be in the grocery store talking about the Lord as my shepherd I shall not well you're gonna have to be in your car talking about I've never seen the righteous forsaken no exceed begging bread I'm gonna give you about 18 seconds in this place to see if you can get one up to God so God can come down [Applause] [Music] what if I told you that a cry is the signal to God that I'm ready to be delivered every time you cry out you are saying God I want to get out I'm gonna give you 30 seconds to think about everything that the devil has Wrapped Around Your Life and I want you to shout out to Every Chain Bridge open your mouth and give God the glory [Applause] [Music] I see chains breaking in the spirit oh this is the conference is almost over I know you've been shouting since Thursday Friday Saturday but those didn't get you gonna have to shout this one until God can hear it until God can hear it come on try to reach heaven try to reach heaven [Applause] shop [Applause] [Music] God says I'm not moving until you get so upset with your circumstance that you're willing to cry out and when you call on me I will answer [Applause] the gospel says that not one Sparrow has fallen to the ground without his knowledge how much more does he love you Chandler said if he dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor he dresses to lilies that's that's that's odd because he's the lily of the valley now why does God call himself the lily of the valley because a lily has in those days can you use your imagination now you came breastfeed a baby if you haven't just given birth so now they're going to find a woman who's lactating yes who has milk coming out of her breast what are we talking don't cry hide your emotions be strong stand up we hear this stuff don't we and then if we cry are you weak and see that now that's ripped out of us and then you marry somebody and she says you don't show me any emotion what do you tell her it was taken out of me before I met you because I was taught to be silent be the psycho that has ruined our experience and here your daddy is saying if you feel desperate cry I'm near to the Brokenhearted and the downtrodden you see the total opposite of what God says and what we've been told so here is my question whose report will you be hard for you when I do it in Atlanta it's not going to be hard for you or not do it in Miami it's not going to be hard for you or not do it in New York it's not going to be hard for you I'm going to do it everywhere I can until we build up a nation of people who are vulnerable and who are not afraid to cry out and we're going to do it until we fill up arenas basketball stadiums and football
