all right friends the secret it's a beautiful chord progressions is but don't worry you don't even have to know what an inversion is to be able to follow along with this lesson so we've got 10 minutes and we're gonna play through the most beautiful way to go through chord progressions so just trust me it's going to be the same four chords all the way through and I'm gonna guide you every step of the way so I'd like you to get your thumb on E and your five finger on C and just we're gonna play that to start here we go one now the next thing we're going to do is just move everybody down [Music] be now and now we're moving back up and then we're just going to take our thumb and move them up a step so we've got F and C now believe it or not I'm going to drop your thumb again that's an A minor chord we'll get to that later everybody moves down this is a G chord again I'll explain C everybody just moves up thumb steps up to f let's do that again and get really comfortable drop your thumb e and C two three four then B and B this is the most beautiful interval these are called sixths and they're beautiful they'll always sound beautiful now we're playing a fifth so let's add some Rhythm this time let's go one two three four everybody steps down three and then everybody goes back up beautiful fits thumb steps up to f now if you can add your left hand and just play a one two three four everybody steps down your left plays G the left is gonna play C and your thumb is going to come up and we're all playing abs okay now we're gonna beautify this another step watch this c e c e b d same shapes of Step c e c e c f let's do that again it's so pretty c e so these beautiful broken intervals gorgeous okay let's add the left hand if we can so we've got a drama and G and C then f one more time before we add something new to the mix then we [Music] then then C e c e then C okay check this out same thing drop your thumb now at the a in you've got the a minor chord everybody moves down a step okay five finger comes up thumb comes up if you add in the G it gives you a full c chord now you're playing a root position F chord so just trust top two notes and then the bottom drops everybody's gonna step down you got it okay your five is gonna go to C your thumb is going to go to E there's the shell and if you can add in that g awesome that takes us beautifully to this root position F chord again just drop your thumb this is called a second inversion a minor everybody steps down second inversion G chord five and one e and C throw in the G if you can and F let's add some rhythm drop your thumb two three four everybody steps down this is the hard one so just Target that e and that c and if you can get the G to the party awesome if not no worries F A and C keep that going if you can add your left hand if you want to totally optional but it really helps to add some drama those like heavy octaves and see okay I'm gonna teach you one more thing to take this and beautify it even further so same shapes drop your thumb but you're gonna play the top two notes like that and then the so the shapes aren't changing but you're playing the top two and then rocking to the bottom so that's a little challenging if that doesn't work you can play these however you like however last felt best G and b a d on the bottom C and G and then it's gonna be a and C with an F okay [Music] just relax here for a second we're going to regroup I'm going to do something a little different we're going to play these chords a little differently so you're just gonna maybe watch for this first round just see what's gonna happen we're gonna play a e and C like this one two then everybody's gonna step down again in fact let's just play the shells like that thumb comes up to C five finger steps up and then we're actually gonna stay here crazy right everybody steps down the thumb comes up this time and then our five finger is going to move up a step let's see if we can add some Rhythm stay there this is gonna be the shell of our a minor chord believe it or not this is how we're setting up these inversions which allow us to move through the chord smoothly and if you're like always this sounds so cool but I wish I had more time with it I need to go slower got an awesome course for you called easy chords and it takes you through this in a 30-day Journey 10 minutes a day really really slow it's a ton of fun I show you exactly what to do every day and you can find the info for that below this video so stay right where you are we'll add those Center notes in in just a moment everybody steps down thumbs gonna come up gives us the shell of our c chord and then our five finger moves up like this okay stay there but this time add your two finger down to the e that's an A minor chord in first inversion everybody steps down next you're going to go to a root position C look how smooth that transition is it's amazing keep your seat where it is top look at that you're playing F now now swap the middle note it's just one no different three steps down [Music] this is amazing and then see keep your thumb where it is your top two fingers move F and a now again you're going to keep the outer shell but your three is going to swap for your two what so pretty everybody steps down gorgeous then row position I love this so much let's try pulling a little bit of a broken chord shape so we'll take a moment first if if you're not ready for that just do this you can even play root position chords if you need to but we can play all of these notes one at a time and make them sound really really really really pretty so here's what I mean [Music] bottom little top you know bottom so I get the shape but I play the notes one at a time middle tip middle get the shape bottom Middle top you're kind of already in the shape so same bottom note now we play e a a then b d g d then c e g e then c f a f again c e a e m g b that's a d p it's still relaxing it's such a beautiful track okay trust me take your five finger move it all the way up to a and step it down to G we're playing up high now and then back up to a I lied so just ignore me just keep it here so take a beat back to Five Finger with your a so that's the shape we're going for c e and a everybody steps down b d and g that's what I get for relaxing too much c e and G so we've done this before but we've just moved it up an octave so now just the shells again so here we're gonna go so pretty five to G we oh my gosh stay g c g c g c g c a c a c stay there you can do it a c a c these are those sixths they just make everything sound so amazing five comes up if you can't add the left hand it's gonna be stunning a [Music] Benji [Music] and Dinky five finger comes up okay let's go back to the center reposition a minor a minor two four downward position G we've played these chords so many different ways to see and then reposition f then f let's do that again relaxing unwinding a little bit letting our brains rest as we near the m g everybody travels up to Sea and see two three four then F two and we'll just end on a minor here we go so beautiful all right friends you did it that was
