the secret to answered prayer the secret to answered prayer that's what I want to talk to you about today this secret to getting your prayers answered in the previous programs I showed you two things number one I start off by showing you that God wants to answer your person and secondly I showed you that we have a part to play in receiving the answer it's not just up to God but we have something to do in the first part I showed you that it's God's will to answer your prayers he wants to answer your prayers it's his desire to answer your prayers you don't have to talk him into wanting to answer your prayers that's not the problem most Christians think that's the problem most people on the earth most Buddhists most Muslims most Hindus they think that's the problem they gotta talk God it's a warning to answer their prayers whatever their God maybe that's what they think Christians think just like them but hallelujah Jesus didn't teach that way he told us this he said at Matthew chapter seven verse seven and eight he said this he said ask and it shall be given you you can't make it any more plainer than that ask and it shall be given you you'd need a PhD from a Theological Seminary to it to misunderstand that ask and it shall be given you and then in the very next verse he says this for every one that asketh receiveth every one that asketh receiveth every one every one that asketh what happens he receiveth ask and it shall be given you so Jesus is plainly letting us know what god's attitude towards our prayers is what god's attitude towards our prayers is and what is god's attitude ask and it'll be given you ask and you shall receive every one that asketh receiveth God desires it's his will it's his desire it's his most greatest desire is to give us the things that we ask for when we pray and then the second part of this series of lessons I showed you that we have a part to play it's not just up to God in other words God can say yes to our prayer and we can still fail to receive God can say yes to our prayer and we could still fail to receive because it's not just up to God we have a part to play in receiving the answer from God we have a part to play in receiving the answer from God and so now I want to begin to talk to you about that part this study is going to take several sessions but it's the it's the focus of it and then we got a couple things that to discuss after that but for right now for these next several lessons I want to focus on this aspect the secret to answered prayer the secret to answered prayer let's start off here in mark chapter 11 verse 24 Jesus is talking here and he says this he says therefore I say unto you what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them let me start with the first part there he starts off with what things soever you desire or you could translate that this way it could be translated instead of desire could be translated asked but desire or ask you he means the same thing either way you translate it what thing soever you ask what let me put to you this way whatever you ask for when you pray do this thing and you'll receive it that's what he's telling us whatever it is you ask for when you pray do this thing that he's gonna tell us and you'll receive the answer to your prayer whatever it is that you ask for when you pray do this thing that he's about to tell us and you'll receive the the thing that you ask for when you pray so what is the thing he's telling us this is the secret to answered prayer he's about to reveal to us the secret to answer for the secret to receiving what we ask of God when we pray therefore I say to you what thing soever you desire whatever you ask for when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them believe that you receive them and you shall have them believe that you receive them and you shall have them what do we have to do believe that we receive them and what will happen we shall have them believe that we receive them and we shall have them believe that we receive them and we shall have them I like to put it this way believe that God said yes to your prayer and you shall have them believe what whatever you ask for when you pray believe that God said yes to your prayer and you shall have them and I can tell you from personal experience that's the way it work that's the way it works if you can get to the point where you believe that God said yes to your prayer well you believe that you receive the thing when you pray and when you believe that there was a positive response from God to your petition when you believe that you receive them you shall have them you shall have them without question there's no question about it if you can do that you will receive them hallelujah let me put it to you this way I like the way Papa Hagin used to say it he used to say it this way he said substitute the thing that you want so for example if you need healing for your body you could substitute that into what Jesus is saying and you could read that scripture this way what thing soever you desire well what is it you desire what is it you're gonna ask for healing hallelujah well how do I get healing Jesus believe that you receive healing when you pray believe that you receive believe that when you pray you receive healing believe that when you ask God you receive healing and what will happen you shall have healing let's say you need a job Jesus is telling us here he says what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you received the job and you shall have the job believe that you received the job and you shall have the job you need finances you need money people need money God knows that we need money I know there are some Christians they're super spiritual you could tell they're super spiritual because they don't tithe they never give to the church they never even go to a church they never read their Bible they never pray but they're super spiritual nevertheless and they'll tell you that God is not interested in things like money but if you read the Bible you'll find out that God is interested in things like finances he's interested in what you're interested in because he's interested in you he's the Good Shepherd he's the good father hallelujah hallelujah Becky's favorite scripture Becky my wife her favorite scripture is Jesus said this he said that thief cometh not but for to steal to kill and to destroy the thief comes but for to kill to steal and to destroy most Christians read out this way God comes not but for to steal to kill and to destroy most Christians that's what they think God is coming to kill them God is coming to steal from them God is coming to destroy them most Christians think that if if killing happens God killed them most christians think if something stole from God stole it most Christians think if destruction got God sent the hurricane God sent the earthquake no jesus said jesus said not greg jesus said in john chapter 10 he said this the thief cometh not but for to steal to kill and to destroy but i am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly Jesus wants you to have life till it's overflowing he wants you to have plenty of life he wants you to have abundance of life listen to me when you're sick you don't have abundance of life you you have a shortness of life you have a lack of life when you're sick hallelujah when you're without a job guess what you don't have abundance of life you have lack of life hallelujah when you're without money to buy your kids shoes to buy your kids something they desire you know whatever Xbox are a dolly or whatever it is when you're without fine guess what your level of love it's down your level but jesus said this he said I am come that you might have life and have it what just barely getting my hair just scraping the bottom of the barrel just enough to barely make it no that's not what Jesus said he said that you might have life and have it more abundantly hallelujah hallelujah whatever it is you need you need finances you need healing God knows you need finances God knows you need money and here's what Jesus is telling us believe that you receive the finances when you pray when you pray believe that you receive the finances and you shall have the finances when you pray believe that you receive the finances and you shall have the finances when you pray believe that you receive the finances and you shall have the finances when you pray believe that you receive the job and you shall have the job when you pray believe that you receive the healing and you shall have the healing and I'm telling you from personal experience from my experience from Becky's experience from our experience and praying for other people that that's the way it works it is absolutely 100% guaranteed signed in the blood of Jesus that if you can believe that you receive the answer when you pray the thing will come the healing will come the money will come the job will come whatever it is that you ask for when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them now let's look at that for just a second because that would Jesus is saying there is completely opposite of how most Christians think about prayer it's completely opposite of the way that most Christians think about prayer most Christians think about prayer the same way most Muslims think about prayer that should tell you something right there most Christians think about prayer the same way most Buddhists think about prayer most Christians think about prayer the same way most Hindus kabaah / that should tell you that they're missing God hallelujah how do most Hindus think about / they throw up the prayer and wait to see what they don't know what God's gonna do how do most buddhists think about prayer well they throw up their / but they just don't know what God will do how do most it Moslems think about prayer well they say in shala the will of the who knows what God will do whatever happens that's God's will and what do most christians think about / well when they pray for things do they believe that they received them do they believe that they received them when they prayed that mean believe I like to put it this way I like to put it this way believed that God said yes to your prayer and you shall have them in other words you're going before the throne of God with your prayer petition you're coming up to the throne of God there's God hi God here I have a petition yes I'm here to ask you for something here it is I need a job father I need finances father I need healing for my body I need healing for my baby's body father we want to take a nice vacation I want to take my family on a nice vacation can you help us with that father father would you please help us with that hallelujah come before God with your petition whatever it is whatever you ask for when you pray that's what Jesus said whatever you ask whatever you desire whatever you ask for when you pray if you'll do this thing you'll have it you'll receive it I'll believe that you receive them and you shall have them believe that she was so you come with your petition before God you've laid it out before God and now you have to be able to answer the question what was God's answer to your prayer what did God say to your prayer what was his response to your prayer hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah and if you can answer that God's response to your prayer was yes guess what now you're believing hallelujah you're believing that you received the thing when you prayed and Jesus guarantees what you shall have them if you can hold on to that faith if you can hold on to that belief until the thing arrives Jesus guarantees that you will have the thing hallelujah can you see how that's different than what most Christians think about prayer most Christians think about prayer this way they think I've made my petition to God you know I threw my prayer up towards heaven I don't know where God is he's up there somewhere and then if you were to ask them what happened they would say to you well you know they they make their petition for healing to God for example this is God please heal me please heal me God I need to get to work today I can't miss another please heal me God and immediately they begin looking around them they want to see they begin checking out their body well do I feel any better oh no my temperature hasn't gone down oh my stomach doesn't feel any better and what are they doing they're trying to find out what God's answer is how are they trying to determine what God's answer is by their circumstances by what happened in other words they look at their circumstances and they say well nothing has changed I guess God's answer was no hallelujah can you see that they pray for a job you know and they look around you know they go check their mail five times you know a day looking for a letter they checked our email a hundred times a day hoping that the answer will come and after doing that for two or three days they conclude well I guess God the answer to my prayer was no hallelujah can you see that most Christians what they're doing is they're determining whether or not God answered their prayer based on the circumstances can you see that does that make sense to you hallelujah but Jesus is saying this he's saying you must first determine what God's answer is before your circumstances will change you must first know what God's answer to your prayer is before your circumstances are gonna change can you see that's the exact opposite of what most Christians think prayer works like they look first at the circumstances and then determine what God's answer was but Jesus is telling us first determine what God's answer is and then your circumstances will change hallelujah believe that God said yes to your prayer for a job and you shall have a job believe that God said yes to your prayer for a job and you shall have believed that God said yes to your prayer for finances and you shall have the finances believe that God said yes to your prayer for healing and you shall have the healing can you see the weakness of traditional religious everyday evangelical whatever you want to call it Christianity can you see how spiritually weak it is hallelujah they can't believe nothing they don't believe a thing if they can't see it when their eyes then it must not be true but Jesus is telling us just the up and he's telling us we need to learn to walk in the spiritual realm we need to grow up spiritually we need to begin to look at things through our spiritual eyes and we need to conduct our life based on what we see through our spiritual eyes not through our physical eyes that's what it means to believe that you receive them and you shall have them believe that you receive them and you shall have them believe that you receive them and you shall have them hallelujah that's the secret to answered prayer what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them believe that God said yes to your prayer and you shall have them there's another way I like to put it what things soever you desire when you pray believe believe that God has done everything necessary for you to get the thing and you shall have them halleluyah halleluyah halleluyah and when you believe that God has done everything necessary for you to get the thing what do you say hallelujah hallelujah and you can begin Towell you get excited about imagine you called up your your your mom and dad a relative some friend whatever you call them up is hey man I'm really in in trouble here I need some money you know can you please help me and your friend you know he loves you he wants to help you want yeah I'll do whatever I can do what do you need well man I need $10,000 I need $10,000 well when do you need it as soon as possible as soon as far I need it right now and he says okay I'm going down to the post office I'm in the post office talking to you on his cell phone he's I'm I put the check I've made out the check here it is in the envelope I got your address on it I put two stamps on it just to be on the safe side okay I'm putting it in the slot what would you say well I got oh you'd go to your wife you'd call up your wife and you honey honey guess what happened you call up your husband you say honey honey the money's coming we got the money's and yes the money's coming honey that's what Jesus wants you to do that's what Jesus is telling you to do believe that you received the thing when you prayed and you shall have the thing believe that you received the thing believe that God said yes to your prayer and you shall have them believe that God as a result of your prayer God has now done everything that's necessary for you to receive the answer believe here's another way I like to put it believe hallelujah that as a result of your prayer you now have the thing believe that as a result of your prayer you now have the thing it's yours you have it now you're not waiting to get it you know sometimes Christians confuse looking to the future wishful thinking they confuse that for faith they think oh yeah someday God is is gonna help me someday God God will help me yeah someday God's gonna help me you know I know someday God will send the money I know someday God's gonna heal me I know someday God's gonna work a miracle for I know someday holla but that's not what Jesus said Jesus didn't say believe that someday God will help you hallelujah he said believe that you received the thing when you pray when you pray believe that you receive believe that God says yes to your prayer believe that God answers your prayer and you shall have the thing hallelujah hallelujah I like that here's another way I like to put it Jesus is saying we remember we read over a Matthew chapter 7 if you've been following along with these lessons the first series of these lessons I showed you that God wants to answer your person I started off with this scripture asking it's Matthew chapter 7 verse 7 ask and it shall be given you ask and it shall be given you well you could look at mark 11 here's another way I like to think about mark 11:24 Jesus says therefore I send to you what think so ever you ask when you pray what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them here's another way you could think about it over here in in Matthew 7:7 jesus said ask and it shall be given you in Matthew 78 he says for every one that asketh to receive it here's another way you could think of mark 11:24 jesus is saying in mark 11:24 he's saying this he's saying believe that what I told you over there remember when I told you over there in Matthew chapter 7 verse 7 in Matthew chapter 7 verse 8 remember when I told you in Matthew chapter 7 verse 7 ask and it shall be given you remember I told you Matthew chapter 7 verse 8 for every one that asketh receiveth believe that that's true and you'll have the thing believe that it's true that when you ask it is given to you believe that it's true that everyone that asketh receiveth and you shall have the thing hallelujah what most Christians aren't doing that most Christians aren't doing that there they're thinking to themselves hallelujah well maybe God will heal me someday well that's not believing that you received the thing when you pray that's not believing that God said yes to your prayer when you pray that's not believing that as a result of your prayer you now have the thing that's not believing that as a result of your prayer God has now done everything that's necessary for you to receive the thing hallelujah can you see that can you understand that hallelujah how little you have to believe that you have it you have to believe that you have it you have to believe that you receive the thing so now I want to show you what it means to believe if we want to receive the thing we're gonna have to learn to believe that we received it but what does it mean to believe and that's where I think most Christians are failing to understand what Jesus is saying most Christians don't understand what it means to believe most Christians don't understand what it means to believe and let me show you what it means to believe I actually began one day to meditate on the scripture before this mark chapter 11 verse 23 I want to show you how I came to understand what it means to believe what Jesus means by believing and I had been praying you know Apapa Hagin who's the founder of the Bible School that Becky and I attended Kenneth Hagin Kenneth Hagin senior and and he used to recommend that you that Christians should pray for themselves the the prayers in Ephesians chapter one and in Ephesians chapter two that Paul prays for the Christians at Ephesus and so I began praying those prayers for myself and I and when I say I pray them the first prayer in Ephesians chapter 1 Paul is praying that the people who lived in the city of Ephesus the people we call the Ephesians they lived in the city called Ephesus and that's why we called the Epistle to the Ephesians the people who lived in Ephesus hallelujah and Paul prayed for them that God would give him a spirit of wisdom and of Revelation in the knowledge of him so that the eyes of their understanding could be enlightened now you go and begin to pray that prayer for yourself I'm fusions chapter 1 pray that same prayer that Paul was praying for the Ephesians you pray that prayer for yourself you pray that God would give you that spirit of wisdom and of Revelation in the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being enlightened hallelujah lujah hallelujah he's praying for them to get faith that's the thing he's praying for them because when the eyes of your understanding are enlightened that's where faith begins that's not all there is to faith but that's where faith begins when the eyes of your understanding being enlightened so I was praying that prayer for myself you know I was just doing what papa again said to do he said pray this prayer for yourself and so I began to pray that prayer for myself and over the years I prayed a lot but there came a time in my life when I began praying that prayer a lot I mean I pray it when I was going to sleep I might pray it to myself three four or five 10 a hundred times before I went to bed I pray it when I got up in the morning you know just as I'm walking around him and say father I ask in Jesus name you'd give me the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of you the eyes of my understanding being enlightened so that I can know what is the hope of your calling what is the riches of your glorious inheritance in the sense what is the exceeding greatness of your power to us work who believe and so on and so forth goes on for another two or three verses hallelujah so I'd pray that prayer all the time I came to this point in my life number of years ago where I began to pray that prayer over and over and over again now I'm telling you this because I want you to get to that same place and I want you to know what I was doing what you need to get to you need to get to the place where you know what Jesus means by believes that's where we're mostly missing it that's where most read they don't know what it means to believe most Christians have no idea what it means to believe sometimes you'll hear evangelicals saying something like this I'll say something like we're believing is just trusting faith just means trust to believe just means to trust well trust me believe in ain't just trust in hallelujah in fact there's more to trust in than just trust in trust me on that way you see what I mean can you see what I'm saying you don't just trust people you know if you're standing in line at the bank with you know a bag full of cash to make your deposit from your business the man comes up to you and he says hey you know I'm gonna be here no reason for us both to be here why don't you let me have your bag of cash and I'll deposit it with my check and you can go on about your business no reason for us both staying here are you gonna let him have your bag of cash well if it's your dad you're probably gonna let him have the bag of cash but if it's a complete stranger chances are you not it's not just the question of just trust in him you can't just turn on your truster because your trust is based on something else and so it is with believing and so it is with faith faith is based on knowing something okay so now begin to pray that prayer for yourself because I want you to get to the same place that I was I want you to get to the place where you know what Jesus means by belief so I'm praying that prayer for myself a lot hundreds of times a day I'm going to bed at night praying that prayer and at the same time as I'm praying that prayer just got inside of me and I began to pray that prayer I began to meditate on this scripture I began to meditate on mark 11:23 now mark 11:24 but mark 11:23 and Jesus is talking about believing here and so I'm meditating on this Scripture and I began to say this I just say it over in my head for verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he say it shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith and I'd say that that's what it means to meditate let's just say that over to yourself I mean I just might barely whisper who barely I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain I'd go to bed at 9:00 lying on my pillow at night I'd be saying whosoever shall say to this mountain be thou removed be thou cast into the sea shall not doubt in his heart shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he said that's I'm meditating on that going over it literally I probably repeated that scripture to myself thousands of times ten thousand times that many I'm just going over it all the time you know I'm driving around in my car sitting someplace whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he said and I began to get more familiar with that scripture and so I changed it a little bit kind of focus on make it a little more general and so I'd say this instead of talking about a mountain cuz I didn't believe Jesus was just referring to moving mountains you know he's not just talking to construction workers you know or highway builders or some who need to move mountains but he's talking about the circumstances in our everyday life and he's saying in effect look your little circumstance you can handle it if you'll believe God you can your faith will move that mountain if you'll believe God it'll sure handle your little circumstance hallelujah so I began to say it this way I begin to say whosoever shall say and I leave out the mountain part I said whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever said whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever say I'm saying this law a lot thousands of times you know over the period of months I'm meditating on this scripture I'm building it up I'm trying to see what it means you know our first time I'm getting some understanding of what the words themselves mean and then as I meditate it's coming into my heart and I came to see this I came to see that when Jesus said shall not doubt in his heart he also meant believe in his time he said whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe well where are you supposed to do the believing if you're supposed to not do the doubting in your heart where is it you're supposed to do the believing if he says shall not doubt in his heart and that's the key shall not that then he must mean the believing takes place in your heart as well and that's the key shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart shouts well I began to say it that way whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart that those things which he says shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he said whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart that those things which he saith shall come to pass and I began meditating on that and I'd say that we'd not said all the different ways as I'm meditating sometimes I focus on one way sometimes I focus on this and then I made this little change then I'm trying to understand what it means I'm trying to chew it up and understand in my mind and my intellect what it means and as I'm doing that it's starting to get built up into my heart can you see that so I began to say this whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart believe what that's what I'd say I'd say belief what what are we supposed to believe shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe believe what but those things which he say it shall come to pass believe what that those things which he saith shall come to pass believe that those things which he saith shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart believe what that those things which he saith shall come to pass and he shall have whatsoever he saith shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe in his heart that those things which he saith shall come to pass and he shall have whatsoever he said and one day after meditating on this scripture repeating it to myself that's what I mean by meditating just kind of chewing it up in my mouth and chewing it up in my mind and repeating it over and over and zuv times thinking about it getting it built up into my spirits you know you could say I became obsessed with this scripture you know I just all the time who so ever shall say and shall not doubt in this hour but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he said whosoever shall say and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe believe what that those things which he say it shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he said one day after meditating on that I saw it I saw what Jesus meant by belief I saw began to see what Jesus meant by believing here's what Jesus means by belief when he says in mark 11:24 when he says what thinks whoever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them this is what he means by belief but I believe Jesus means know in your heart by believed Jesus means see it with the eyes of your heart by believe Jesus means here with the ears of your heart that's what he means by belief in other words when you pray believe that you're in other words know in your heart not in your head but know in your heart what that you receive them that God said yes to your prayer that as a result of your prayer you now have them that as a result of your prayer God has now done everything that's necessary for the thing to come into your life hallelujah that's what he means where do you know that you know it in your heart hallelujah he's not talking about knowing in your head he's not talking about seeing with these eyes he's not talking about anything to do with hearing with these ears but he's talking about knowing with your heart believing what the Bible means by believing is perceiving something in your spirit perceiving in your heart and in the case of prayer what do we is it we're perceiving we're perceiving that we now have the thing I look out here my circumstances have not changed but I look inside my heart and my heart says I have the things I like this example that happened to Becky halleluyah halleluyah once a long time ago this was before we had any kids so our oldest kid is 21 years old but Becky was bitten by something and it caused a bump on her neck here and you know was itching and so she scratched it and I don't know what happened to it I don't even we didn't even know what it was it was just a mosquito bite or something but she scratched it and and as a result of her scratching it she it began to grow it be got bigger and it got so big that it eventually turned into a circle you know it looked like a circle on her neck and the circle kept growing I mean I have no idea to this day what it is hallelujah this circle kept growing and growing until it became so big it went all up inside her hairline and came out the other side of her head and it was so thick this little circle was so thick that on one occasion when we went to a grocery store the the checker asked her if she'd had an operation because it looked like a big scar that had come across her neck that's how thick it was like the scar you'd receive if somebody had had cut your neck well we went to a church that believed in healing and so worked we believed that God we believe the Bible teaches we'd heard good teaching about healing at least we knew that the Bible taught that God wanted as well he wanted us healed he wanted us whole and so she's praying oh god I healed me of this thing and she's trying to believe God that's what I'm talking about what's the key the key is believing Becky is trying to believe for healing and so she's saying I thank you Father that I'm healed I thank you Father that I'm healed I thank you Father that I'm here and you know she did this you know when it was small and it kept getting bigger and she's saying I thank you Father that I'm healed I thank you very kept getting bigger and you know it was kind of embarrassing you know where we sat in church there was a doctor nearby and he'd sit and basically the same area and we were kind of she was kind of embarrassed that he turned around and look at her you know and she said she put it this way she said she'd look in the mirror and the mirror would say she once it got big you know and thicken up in her head and the mirror would say to her you're ugly you're so ugly because of that thing so she's trying to believe and so she was a schoolteacher so all during the school year she said I thank you Father I believe I'm healed she's trying to get there which is a good thing trying to get there is a good thing alleluia alleluia seeking you're fine man just stick with it and you'll get there hallelujah believed God and so at the end of the school year came and she said you know I'm gonna have to do something about this I really need to get serious about this and she'd been reading a book by Jody Osteen called healed of cancer and you know Doty Osteen is Joel Osteen's mom and she had had cancer and she was healed of that cancer the doctors had told her she was gonna die and and she pray and they basically said well you can stay here and we're gonna treat you but either way you're gonna die and so you might as well go home and live your last few you know days at home and so she went home and she began to believe God and so in the back of the book she had this list of scriptures that she would meditate on every morning and every night she'd read these aloud to herself and so Becky began to read over those scriptures every morning and it'd take her quite a while you know sometimes we had to go someplace not be sitting there waiting for her to finish reading over scriptures or maybe you know it's time to go to bed at night you know and she's on vacation I'm not on vacation there she is with the light on you know reading the scriptures going going over all these scriptures you know I recur quite a while she'd go over them every morning and every night there was quite a few of them take her at least a half-hour 45 minutes and she also along with reading others she found a tape an audio tape of sermon of Papa Hagen's about healing belongs to us and this particular tape really ministered to her and it had that in the ended he told the story of a woman who was healed and so she listened to that tape all the time and so she'd be meditating on these scriptures in the morning and at night and listening to this tape several times a day she'd listen to it and as she's doing that faith began to come into her heart in fact she puts it this way after about a week or two of doing that concentrated faith came into her heart and she said nothing had changed on the outside but she puts it this way Becky puts it this way she looked into the mirror and nothing had changed on her face but something had changed in her heart and the mirror would say to her you're ugly the mirror would still say to her you're ugly the mirror was still saying to her you're ugly but down in her heart it was saying you're healed and she'd say no mirror I'm healed I'm healed and she didn't care anymore what the mirror said what the mirror said didn't influence turn it off before you know the mirror would say you're ugly and she'd be embarrassed to go out you know she did oh my god what if somebody's seen but now she knows something out she's seen before she'd been looking with these eyes in the mirror now she sees something completely different she sees something from her heart what does she see she sees I'm healed she sees I'm he loved hallelujah hallelujah where does she see that she's healed her circumstances aren't changed she's not saying she's not well she's not denying the existence of this thing you know like some people say did she's not she knows that thing is still there but she sees something else would be XY's she says she sees herself healed I'm well my skin is smooth my skin is smooth and and normal and perfect just like it's supposed to be hallelujah I'm healed I'm well I'm whole she'd been putting up with this for the whole year from October to June hallelujah and she began to merit and she said within a few days two or three days of getting to the point where she could see in her heart that she was healed the thing completely disappeared the thing completely disappeared that's what Jesus is talking about seeing with your heart when Jesus says believe he means to know in your heart when the Bible talks about faith it's talking about seeing with the eyes of your heart when the Bible talks about believing it's talking about perceiving something with the eyes of your heart hearing something with the ears of your heart I like to put it this way knowing something in your heart that's what it means when Jesus says believe that you receive them and you shall have them he means know in your heart that you got them know in your heart that you got them not out here like most Christians are where I don't see it anywhere yeah I don't see it anywhere either but down in here I know it's mine I don't see the money I don't see the money anywhere but down in here I know the money is coming down in here I know the money is coming and what does Jesus say he says if I can get to that point where I know it in here where I can see it with the eyes of my heart he says I'll have the thing I will have the thing the money is coming the money is coming well that's all we have time for this week but listen listen come back
