have you ever had the experience i have quite often where you're reading a book or you're watching a movie and you finally get to the end of the movie or the book and it's a dud i hate that when you're watching a movie and it's like that's the end i could write a better line than that i mean that just that doesn't and you're disappointed well i want to encourage you to you're not going to be disappointed with the end of the book of revelation which by the way in a bigger sense is the end of god's redemptive plan of history someone said history is god's story his story and this coming study in revelation chapter 19 to 22 just reminds me that god is writing the story history is god's story and he's writing the story and the end is marvelous and wonderful it's almost hard to preach on because it's such a grand theme of all of scripture and so glorious to think about christ is coming again but i guarantee you you won't be disappointed with the end that is if you're a christian you won't be disappointed if you're not a christian you're going to be disappointed because it's not going to turn out the way that you thought it would so history is god's redemptive story jesus who came the first time we call it the first advent of christ he came to redeem us from sin he came in a body a human body a sinless human body through the womb of the virgin mary but he came to be the second sacrificial substitutionary a atoning sacrifice for our sins so that's the center of his first coming but his second coming he's coming back to judge sin and to reign so he came to redeem us the first time he's coming back the second time jerraine is king of kings and lord of lords write down hebrews chapter 9 verse 28 hebrews 9 verse 28 says christ was once offered to bear the sins of many and then it says and unto those who look for him shall he return the second time without sin unto salvation so it speaks of his two advents christ came to bear sin but if we look for him he's coming again the second time not for sin but to save us from sin so today we want to focus on the second coming of jesus christ he came the first time as the lamb who would be slain he's coming back the second time as the lion of the kingly tribe of judah now the subject of the second coming is one of the most grand in all of scripture actually everything in revelation chapters 1 through 18 our introduction to chapter 19 to 22. so you might actually think of revelation 1 through 18 as introductory as preparatory for the grand finale the grand conclusion as it were of the coming again of jesus christ and of his establishing his kingdom and a little footnote again we're not in any parenthetical sections any longer we've had three sections of revelation that were parenthetical there was a pause and now we're actually picking up the chronological flow and it runs all the way to the end of the book now the second coming is so prominent that for every one verse on his first coming or first advent there are eight verses on the second coming of jesus christ so it's like one to eight on the second coming of jesus christ it's a doctrine that is taught in the old testament and in the new now in a minute we're going to contrast the rapture with the second coming they're not the same they're two events they're seven years at least apart from one another one is before the tribulation one is at the end and culmination of the tribulation the second coming is taught in both the old and the new testament now i'm not just giving you this information because i want to give you information this is very important to understand bible prophecy the old testament is silent about the rapture of the church why it's a new testament disclosure or to use the new testament word revelation revelation or a mystery so the church is a new testament mystery it's not in the old testament it's concealed but revealed in the new but the second coming is both old and new it's all the way through the old testament and all the way into the new testament now in the new testament one out of every 30 verses is on the second coming of jesus christ and it's a part of orthodox christianity to hold the doctrine of the coming again of christ we have different views on how it will unfold and when it takes place but all true christians believe in second coming of jesus christ so jesus told us to pray in what we call the lord's prayer our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name and then what did he say thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth that's the coming of christ as it is in heaven so jesus is going to come from heaven to earth and he's going to establish his kingdom now again before we begin to unpack these verses there are three primary senses of the kingdom of god first there's the sovereign kingdom of god he sits on the throne and we see it several times in our text today where god is king and he is sovereign and he rules over the whole world secondly as a believer when you're born again you enter into the spiritual kingdom of god it's not food and drink but righteousness peace and joy and the holy spirit so we're the king's kids living in the kingdom this world is not our home we're looking for a city whose maker and builder is god the third view is our concept today in this passage when jesus comes as king of kings and lord of lords from heaven visibly personally gloriously and he sets up his kingdom on earth for a thousand years it's known as the millennium one thousand year reign of christ it's a fulfillment of the davidic covenant and then that flows into the new heaven and new earth and the eternal state so there's three senses to the kingdom sovereign kingdom spiritual kingdom for believers and then the literal kingdom that's a fulfillment of god's covenant to david that his seed will sit on his throne and be king on the earth forever and ever so it's thought of as an eternal kingdom even though it starts with a thousand year reign it flows into the eternal state now there are three scenes in our text today if you want to make notes and try write down notes and outline where we're going there's three scenes the first is verses one to six it's a scene in heaven of the hallelujah songs so in heaven we're going to see all of the saints all gathered up there in the church and we're singing and worshiping praising god verses 1 to 6 the hallelujah song notice in verse 1. and after these things this is the greek phrase metatauta which we saw in chapter 1 verse 4 i heard a great voice of much people in heaven there's our location saying hallelujah salvation and glory and honor and power unto the lord our god for true and righteous are his judgments for hath judged the great harlot which should corrupt the earth with her foreign occasion he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand and again they said hallelujah for the smoke of her rose up forever and ever and the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped before god and sat on the throne saying amen hallelujah and a voice came out of the throne saying praise our god all ye his servants and ye that fear him both small and great and i heard is that we're the voice of a great multitude and the voice of many waters is the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thundering saying hallelujah for the lord god omnipotent reigns now go back with me to verse one i want you to note this that there's this great hallelujah chorus in heaven they're singing hallelujah now the word hallelujah is really two words put together and it's a hebrew word and the two words put together are praise yahweh or praise jehovah ha lailuya so it's praise the lord so in our new testament here you have alleluia with an a that's the greek translation of it but transliterated it's actually hallelujah or praise the lord now it only appears four times in the new testament and guess where they are right here in our text this is the only place in the new testament you find this phrase hallelujah it appears multiple times in the book of psalms every time you read your psalms and you he see the phrase praise the lord lord all capital letters it's the hebrew word hallelujah is what it is now the cool thing about this word is it's universal i don't know anything but english but i've traveled around the world so anywhere i go in the world if i don't know the language i just go hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah i remember when i was in china i didn't know a lick of chinese and i couldn't speak any chinese my son is fluent in mandarin chinese it blows my mind but i would just say hallelujah they say amen amen amen so you can you can go anywhere in the world and speak their language when you say hallelujah so how fitting that when we get to heaven all the saints of all the places all around the world as we're gathered what's going to be our song hallelujah it's going to be praise the lord now who's praising the lord in heaven verse one much people verse four the church which i think the elders there the 24 elders are the church and then the four living creatures are angels or cherubims angelic beings and then in verse five you have a mention of his servants and then again it comes back in verse six and mentions a great multitude so a bunch of people in heaven with the church with the angels with his servants are praising god now my next question is from the text why are they praising the lord why are they singing hallelujah i want to give you four reasons why look at verse one first of all for their redemption or salvation alleluia verse 1 salvation and glory and honor and power unto the lord our god when we get to heaven we're going to be praising the lord for our redemption our salvation our salvation means that god's redeemed us by the blood of jesus who died on the cross for our sins that's going to be the central theme of the song in heaven sometimes people complain i've you know visited revival and i like it but you sing too much i think sing too much we're just getting started you're not going to like heaven dude you get to heaven oh this is just like revival christian fellowship they want to do a sing and david's over there playing his harp he's got it plugged into a fender amp when we get to heaven we're going to sing it's going to be marvelous it's going to be glorious and what are we going to sing hallelujah hallelujah for the lord god omnipotent reigns what a glorious thing that is going to be and he has redeemed us for his salvation secondly for his righteous retribution this is interesting verse two and three for true and righteous are his judgments think about that hallelujah you've saved us but your judgments are righteous and they are true for he hath judged the great harlot verse 2 which corrupted the earth with her spiritual fornication and she has to he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand and again they said verse 3 hallelujah and her smoke rose up forever and ever that indicates an eternal judgment upon the great harlot which we read about in chapter 17 mystery babylon the mother of harlots and chapter 18 the great commercial system of babylon are judged by god as well as the wicked world through the book of revelation so they are praising god for their redemption and for his righteous retribution just a quick footnote before i leave this point you know a lot of atheists and non-christians sometimes complain this to us as christians well how could a god of love let suffering happen in the world how could a god of love allow adolf hitler to kill all these millions of jews how could a god of love do this or do that and you know they don't have an answer for it other than there's no god it's just what happens and that's what is we have at least an understanding that there is a god he sits on the throne and here's the point there will be final retribution if there's no god there's no final retribution the wicked will not stand before the judge of all the earth and give an account for what they did so if you've been lied to or mistreated or abused or you've experienced some evil thing and maybe there's no justice on this earth just wait the judge of all the earth is coming and his eyes are like a flame of fire he sees and knows all things so final retribution is coming because god is going to come back and judge the wicked and bring that judgment now i want you to note amen i want to note you third thing in verse 4 why they are praising the lord for their realization i said verse 4 says that they worship god that sat on the throne saying amen alleluia now you know the word worship means it means to ascribe worth so when they get to heaven i'm convinced that i don't have a clear verse to to support this thought but it's just the overall tenor of scripture and what i think will happen when we get to heaven the first overwhelming amazing thought we have is that god is worthy of all worship and all praise everything that's confused us and problem does is going to vanish and we're going to see the worthy one worthy is the lamb and so we begin to worship so we're singing alleluia and we're ascribing worth of worship so we come to this realization that god is worthy that's what the word worship means now notice as well verse 4 he's sitting on the what throne underline that every time you see the throne in heaven god's on the throne wouldn't it be a bummer if it said and i looked and there was a throne and no one was on it god is on the throne he's on the throne yesterday he's on the throne today and he will be on the throne for all eternity so they're praising god for redemption for righteous retribution for the realization that god is worthy to be worshipped and then fourthly verses five and six they're praising and hallelujah singing in heaven for his reign he says the voice came out of the throne saying praise our god all ye his servants and ye that fear him both small and great and i heard is that we're the voice of a great multitude this could be all of us together in heaven and as the voice of sound like many waters and as the voice of mighty thundering saying hallelujah here it is for the lord god omnipotent reigns amen so we're worshiping god who is worthy who's redeemed us because he's reigning on the earth and he's brought righteous retribution the bible says in psalm 150 verse 6 let everything that has breath praise the lord amen hallelujah now we move from the hallelujah course in heaven to the supper and the marriage of the lamb verses 7 to 10 the marriage supper of the lamb so it says in the second scene verse 7 let us be glad now we're still in heaven rejoice and give honor to him for the marriage of the lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready and to her was granted verse 8 that she should be arrayed in fine linen clean and white for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints or a better translation i have to admit it would be the righteous acts or righteous deeds of the saints some modern translations catch that he said unto me right verse 9 blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the lamb for he said unto me these are the true sayings of god and i fell at his feet to worship him and he said unto me see thou do it not for i am of thy fellow servants and of thy brethren and i have the testimony of jesus worship god for the testimony of jesus is the spirit of prophecy now you might say in verse seven that we have now a fifth reason for the hallelujah course in heaven and that is that the marriage of the lamb has come his wife has made herself ready and they are called together in this marriage the marriage of the lamb has come and his wife verse 7 hath made herself ready in verse 9 it's called the marriage supper of the lamb now here's the question what is this marriage of the land well it's pretty clear that the lamb is jesus christ and that the bride of the wife here is actually the bride of christ the church you know when you become a christian you are engaged to jesus christ your heavenly bridegroom and then he gives you the holy spirit which you know what the bible says it's a engagement ring it's an endowment it's a giving of a ring it's a down payment so the minute you become a christian you are actually engaged to jesus and then when the rapture happens the church is caught up to meet the lord in the air then we will have the marriage and the marriage supper of the lamb in bible times marriage had three phases there was the engagement which was called the espousal period legally binding usually a year before the wedding then there was the marriage ceremony and then there was the marriage feast after the ceremony and so that would go on for a whole week i'm glad i didn't live in bible days you get married and everybody comes to your house for a whole week i don't think so we're out of here or you're out of here but jesus said i go to prepare a place for you and if i go i'll come again and i'll receive you to myself that where i am there you may be also so you my beloved as the church we as the church the true believers the body of christ the bible uses several metaphors for the church and we're not talking to the local church but the universal church it uses the concept of a body christ is our head and we're all members of that one body uses the concept of a building that we're all bricks put together and we come a habitation of god by the spirit and then it uses the imager of a bride and this is the passage here and that we will be wed to christ so we're going to be ready to be caught up to meet the lord in the air so he gives us the engagement ring of his holy spirit then we're going to be raptured and wed to him and then we're going to celebrate with him now the bible isn't really clear as to whether the the supper happens in heaven or on earth it would seem to indicate that the marriage happens in heaven and then we come back for the marriage reception on earth some believe the marriage supper could last a thousand years during the millennium and i think that's pretty cool but needless to say we are his bride we will be caught up to meet the lord and wed to him and then return with him and celebrate on the earth so what a blessing that will be but there's a couple statements here that confuse some people at the end of verse seven made herself ready what does that mean how do you make yourself ready well it could be implying that by your repentance and by your faith by your trusting jesus that he's imputed righteousness to you we know that we're saved by grace not by works and we trust him and he forgives us or it could be referring to the preparation of their wedding garments through their service and it would indicate that because the next statement actually says to her was granted so that would be god's grace and at the end of verse 8 for the fine linen is the righteous acts or deeds of the saints i'm trying to cram a whole lot of stuff into this quick simple little verse here and i could have just passed over it and maybe you wouldn't have even seen it but it says the bride made herself ready and then it says unto her was granted so it could be now that he's talking about our service and not our not our salvation or our sanctification your salvation has three parts you're saved you're sanctified and you serve you should be serving the lord and when it says for fine lenin is the righteous acts or deeds of the saints it could be that you are making or preparing your wedding garment for that wedding day now i've been a father of three brides so i know what goes into a wedding garment travel the world to find that one perfect wedding dress i know how much they cost i know they're still hanging in the closets at our house why i don't know i think we should rent them out or something make some money off them but man do they put a lot of work and energy into that dress and then even if the wedding is in the evening they start getting ready at 3 30 in the morning what's the deal well i need six hours to do my makeup really but you know in light of that all the weddings i've officiated i've never seen an ugly bride i've seen ugly grooms lord have mercy i've never seen the doors throw open and the bride standing there and go oh bummer that's never happened to me she she she spent months getting ready for this moment amen it's impossible to look bad but the carryover for us as believers are that in our service we're preparing to meet jesus face to face we're preparing our gown i have another kind of intuition biblically and i believe that it could be true that when we get to see jesus no matter what we've done and our service to him we're going to feel so unworthy and that it's so inadequate and that it falls so short let alone having a saved soul and a wasted life don't let that happen to you if you're a christian you're going to see jesus face to face and you want to have a beautiful wedding garment you want to serve him faithfully and diligently and live for him you don't want to be embarrassed when jesus comes so i believe the concept could involve the the bema the reward seat of christ the judgment seat the preparing of the wedding garment that we've made ourselves ready and that it is the righteous deeds or the acts which are the fruit of our salvation that is granted to us in verse 8. anyway i thought i would address what sometimes confuses people in verse 7 and verse 8. now i believe that verse 9 that he is told here to write blessed that is the fourth beatitude in the book of revelation there are seven of them are those who are called to the marriage supper of the lamb some scholars believe this is the old testament saints who will be called to that supper and observe the bride the church being wed to christ it could be a reference just to the church and he said unto me these are the true sayings of god now quite often when you read a statement like that in verse 9 the true sayings of god it's because what is being seen in the vision and heard in the voice is so amazing so wonderful so marvelous that it's almost like i can't believe it but john says no these are the true sayings of god so i fell and was going to worship this angel which gave the vision and the angel said to him don't do it i am thy fellow servant and thy brethren i have the testimony verse 10 of jesus worship god for the testimony of jesus as the spirit of prophecy now let me explain that statement basically it's a way of saying that true prophecy from god and a true understanding of prophecy always centers on focuses in and glorifies jesus christ the spirit of prophecy is the spirit of jesus so all understanding of biblical prophecy brings us back to jesus christ he is the focus and the center of all biblical prophecy how true that is now the third section that we come to is the grand finale it is the second coming of jesus christ so we have the songs of hallelujah we have the supper and the wedding and we have the second coming of jesus christ look at it with me verse 11 to 16. and i saw heaven open verse 11. and the white horse and he that sat on him was called faithful and true and in righteousness he thus judge and make war no doubt about it this is a reference to jesus christ his eyes were like a flame of fire he had his head many crowns or diadems he had a name red that no man knew but he himself he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the word of god only the apostle john used that title for jesus christ and the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses clothed in fine linen white and clean and out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword that withered he should smite the nations and he shall rule the word is shepherd them with a rod of iron and he tread up the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of almighty god and he had on his vesture and on his thigh a name written king of kings and what lord of lord this is the event that all history is leading toward when i say all history secular or sacred gods and cruel control of history not even just from the time of the fall i thought about this this week you know when adam and eve fell it didn't get caught caught catch god by surprise but it got me going huh bummer plan messed up got to go to plan b you know before he made adam and eve he knew they would fall he knew what would happen he had a plan for greater glory redemptive glory and we'll understand it better when we get to heaven but it's a marvelous plan i'm sure what god has put together so heaven is opened now i want you to notice here this is the grand finale of all god's revelation and history this is where it's going now when heaven is open in verse 1 i want you to notice here in this passage five things about this second coming of christ first his actual coming in verse 11 heaven was opened he came on a white horse and he was called faithful and true and the purpose for his coming is in righteousness he does judge and make war so you could actually say in verse 11 is his coming and he's coming to judge and make war and he's faithful and true now heaven was opened not so we could go in to heaven like it was in chapter 4 verse 1 but so that christ could come out from heaven down to earth now this is the second coming of jesus christ notice he's called faithful and true he keeps his promises in matthew chapter 24 verse 27 jesus said this he said as the lightning that shines from the east to the west so shall the coming of the son of man be and every eye will see him the glory the majesty of his personal coming and his glorious return jesus is coming to judge in righteousness he just judge and make war now let me say a couple things about this number one this is not the same as the rapture of the church don't confuse the two people take rapture verses and second coming verses and they blend them together that's why i believe it's important to see that they're two separate events in the rapture it involves only the church there's no mention of satan being bound there's no mention of his kingdom on earth we're caught up to meet the lord where in the air in the second coming we come back from heaven with christ to earth there's judgment it's visible it's a it's a glorious coming so there's a lot of contrast i'm going to give you a chart next sunday with about 10 or 15 contrast between the rapture and the second coming but write down these verses john 14 verses 1 to 6 and then first corinthians 15 verse 51 and then the end to the end of that chapter and then first thessalonians chapter 4. now those are only three but those are three clear references to the rapture not the second coming so the rapture happens before the seven years of tribulation and the church is caught up to meet the lord in the air the second coming happens at the end of the tribulation so i believe in a pre-tribulational rapture and i believe that the second coming takes place before the millennial reign of christ so it's not the same as the rapture and it comes at the end of the tribulation matthew 24 verse 29 and 30. and then thirdly it comes before the 1 000 year millennial reign of christ this is what's called the pre-millennial return of christ i believe that christ will come back before the thousand-year reign and we'll get that next sunday in revelation chapter 20 and he will establish his kingdom in fulfillment of the davinic covenant where christ reigns on earth now in acts chapter 1 verses 9 to 11 we have the story of christ ascension where he went back to heaven now he came from heaven he entered the world through the womb of the virgin mary he lived a sinless life performed miracles spoke like never a man spoke died on the cross was buried and rose from the dead and so that's a pretty tough act to follow right how do you follow that well how do you how do you wrap up the story so we we see jesus on mount olivet 40 days after his resurrection and he gives the great commission going to all the world and preach the gospel making disciples of all men and then what happens he just starts to lift off and he bodily physically visibly they watched him lift off the mount of olives and just go higher and higher and higher right back up into heaven until he got up into heaven and the cloud received him out of their sight and then he kept going and going until he was seated at the right hand of god the father where he is right now and he lives to save and intercede and he's coming back again and the disciples were blown away what an exit this is crazy so they're staring up in the heaven an angel shows up now if i were the angel and say you guys didn't he just tell you to go into all the world what are you standing here looking into heaven for theirs is an abbreviated version ye men of galilee why stand ye here looking into the heavens that's the king james version and then he said these words the angel to the disciple the same jesus which you saw go is going to come back there's a promise how the same way in like manner that's the second coming of jesus christ the very same jesus that you saw leave is going to come back and he's going to come back so it's going to be personal it's going to be literal it's going to be visible and it's going to be glorious so jesus christ is coming again now notice secondly in verse 12 his countenance when he comes his eyes oh can you imagine seeing the eyes of jesus they will be like a flame of fire his head had many crowns the word is diadems kingly crowns many of them multiple crowns and the name red that no man knew but he himself that's one of the great mysteries of the bible what's that name all the beautiful titles and names for jesus but there's one we don't know only jesus knows it he himself now what a contrast when jesus came the first time the bible says jesus wept shortest verse in the bible jesus wept he was at the grave of lazarus and when he died he shed tears but now when he comes back the second time his eyes will be a flame of fire which speaks of his discernment and his knowledge in his judgment his omniscience and then his crown of diadems kingly crowns remember when he came the first time he wore a crown of what thorns as he suffered and died upon the cross what a contrast and then notice his clothing is mentioned thirdly in verse 13 and is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the word of god so when jesus christ comes back he's going to have a garment on blood red because he treads the wine press of the wrath of god he's coming to judge the wicked in righteousness and truth and he's called verse 13 the word of god as i pointed out only the apostle john used that title for jesus christ that's john's favorite term it's the logos of god the revelation of god's word and it's the word of god as personified in the person of jesus christ and then notice also his church verse 14 the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses clothed in fine linen white and clean remember earlier in verse 8 the fine linen were the righteous deeds of the saints now i i could be wrong but i'm convinced that the army is mentioned in verse 14 and i don't want to get bogged down with all my arguments why but in verse 14 the armies there are reference to the church so earlier where the bride now we're the armies but it's interesting we're armies but we don't do any fighting he does all the fighting and how does he fight with a word of his mouth a sharp sword that comes out of his mouth so we're just riding along hanging out with jesus i love it says followed him you know there's a phrase in first thessalonians 4 when it talks about the rapture that has always blessed my heart it says after the rapture so shall you forever be with the lord we will be forever with the lord so the minute we're raptured we're face to face with jesus guess what never again shall we be parted when jesus comes back i'm coming with you wait for me lord let me get on my white horse i hate to admit that i'm afraid of horses they're too big they have their own brains they do what they want there's no breaks there's no steering wheel they scare me to death you can you go ride a horse i'll pray for you not me but i'm going to come back with christ on a white horse now the white horse speaks of victory and conquering the roman generals when they would conquer an enemy would have a parade and they would ride a white horse which spoke of their victory so the armies that are coming back so the rapture the church goes up to be with christ in the air the second coming we come back with christ in the book of jude one little chapter book of jude he quotes the prophet enoch in verse 14 and 15 behold enoch the seventh from mountain prophesied saying he comes with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgment upon all that are ungodly and unrighteous so one of the oldest prophecies known to man is from enoch there and it's a reference to the second coming of jesus christ so we have this coming in verse 11 his countenance described in verse 12 his clothing in verse 13 and the church writing with him in verse 14 and then in closing verse 15 and 16 we have his conquest or you could say is vindication out of his mouth here it is go with a sharp sword now this is symbolic here it's speaking of the power and the authority of his word in hebrews 4 verse 12 we have the word of god as alive and powerful and sharper than any what two-edged sword so god speaks with his omnipotent power and he abolishes his enemies that he should smite the nations and he shall rule them the word rule means literally to shepherd them with a rod of iron and what he does is tread the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of god almighty now at the end of the chapter we'll get it next sunday when jesus comes back he's going to come back at the height of the battle of armageddon at the end of the tribulation and he will wipe out the antichrist and his armies so he comes back and he treads the wine press of the fierceness and i've highlighted in my bible the end of verse 15 wrath of god almighty there is such a thing in the scriptures the athanas vesture and honest thy name written king of kings and lord of lords now i've shared first service that this message is hard for me because it's so grand so mega so big so prominent scriptures that i can i can barely even touch on it and i know that sometimes in doing exposition on grand themes like this you feel so inadequate and able to convey the meaning but one thing that's really struck me over the years as i've studied the second coming of jesus christ is the idea that it's the grandest most glorious appearing of god to man ever in history let me repeat that it's the grandest and most glorious appearing of god to man in human history when jesus came the first time that was pretty cool but as the hymn says he was veiled in flesh he had to go up on the mountain with three of his main guys peter james and john and he had to pull back his humanity and let his deity come forth to see the glory of his coming do you know the transfiguration was a preview of the second coming of jesus christ it was so glorious they said lord this is awesome let's build three tabernacles one for you one for most elijah they were there it was so awesome a voice came from heaven said this is my beloved son listen to him but when you think about it the heavens will be rent as the lightning shines from east to the west and god the son of god jesus christ the second
