The Ryanair Experience! FLYING TO SPAIN FOR LUNCH!

[Music] the car what's up guys its first thing in the morning taking these little monkeys to school I've got something really cool coming up today right guys have an amazing day be good for my mind granddad and I'll see you later right so tell you a little bit about of what is going on Dave right well some of you may know that with me on the channel is my amazing and some will say better half Rach he basically is amazing does everything behind the scenes and we are due to be going for a bit of a casual meeting today to talk about the channel that we're gonna be doing I thought that we were going to go to this new restaurant opened up here in town there's a Spanish tapas place so a lot of the pricing it was just insane and I got to thinking maybe we could do it's actually go into it's Spanish restaurant in the UK perhaps we could actually go to a Spanish restaurant in Spain short leave work out cheaper so I found sort of flight to Spain to me your career facts I figured that you probably still work out cheap as I'm actually just meeting over here so gracious know this year but today we are going to Spain for lunch okay so are you gonna tell me where we're going well I'm thinking you know if there's a team meeting where I'm going to be doing we're gonna go to that new tapas place what we in town thought olives are the prices and it was like well expensive so I figured that rather than going to actual tapas restaurant we can actually do the real thing and kind of go to Spain go to Spain yeah Oh turn up in a little bro and Ryanair I just like really cheap we should get a return flight today from East Midlands to New York Paris only like 30 quid Spain here we go short sleep parking at East Midlands isn't far from the terminal it's just a couple of minutes walk so here we are at East Midlands Airport in wherever it is these Midlands well they kind of veer between the two nice random piece of underwear domine um so we are here in Smith's today heading down to Palma de Majorca with a wonderful Ryanair because it's just so damn cheap and we might as well just go to Spain for lunch rather than eating over here so we're gonna take a wander inside and I'm accompanied by my lovely wife first first rape say hi first let's rage and yeah let's head inside and sniff line we had it in sight to the terminal am i straight through security to air side which has changed quite a lot since the last time I was here first ported call today of course was the lounge for coffee and breakfast the escape lounge here at EMA has been open for a short period of time it's not open that long really but it is part of priority class which you can get into along with around 1200 other airport lounges all around the world doesn't really matter what airline or class of trouble you're flying in I've got a membership with them you can answer any of them check out the link in the description below for a discount code off a membership with priority bus the escape lounge here at East Midlands isn't actually that bad it's quite spacious there's plenty of sofas and things to sit on the only problem is there's no outside here from this lounge at all so you kind of stuck with just looking at the TV or wandering around the lounge okay so we are here at the escape the lounge at East Midlands Airport what do you think - it it's pretty good you get in here with your Priority Pass not been here very long this lounge that renovate to dismiss quite a lot since last time I flew through so it's changed quite a lot got through security yeah waiting for a flight over to Majorca with Ryanair thank you it's the customer breakfast Dayton we headed to the gate and Brian a used his remote stands here at East Midlands which means there's about a 10 minute walk from the main gate area also we arrived we found that the priority key was about four times longer than the non priority Hugh I hadn't actually bought any overhead baggage space or anything like that so we just headed for the non-priority hue which bordered it pretty much the same time as everybody else there wasn't really any benefit to get in the priority queue today [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] once everyone was on board it was time to fly [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the majority of today's flight was cloudy but the cloud did break up over the Toulouse area and we got some quite nice views of the Alps as we crossed into Spain [Music] we don't normally buy much on board Ryanair but we founded a coffee today so I ordered a black coffee and Rach ordered a latte well at least that's what she ordered not quite what she got me you're going up middle there to make a lot tonight [Music] [Music] never each other making I've never dull so no so this is why I played savings at Bangkok after a couple of hours and with none back sighs it's finally time for us to start our descent down into the Balearic Islands and down into the island of New York [Music] [Music] [Music] it's quite handy because of the e-passport case had no clue whatsoever today as most of the passages were traveling with children who finally used the e passport Eights so you know my job back yeah Brian area which is not a fan of Ryan airing it's fair to say he said it was upstairs so I got to find out that way what on earth is that are you checking the MiG how am I gonna pay in that I'm not gonna get into this this is not funny you got enough room no frosty the clown [Music] because I can't go called me in German by a maniac you facing boy 6262 0 75 more 6262 when you doing 43 according to you see coming after that Salida 3 2 3 occlude yeah oh yeah oh yeah not without shaking the crap oh pretty Santa poncy done this one is fun having struggled to get into this go-kart my next challenge was to try and get out of the thing all right so we're here in Santa poncy which apparently is a beach resort sorry beachy was a pretty nice to my Joey and any places that I've found so far as I'm act on alternate Burger King so I'm sure that they must have something Spanish somewhere in all right so our muscles 25 please I we all did kind of far too much food I think they're the muscles of delicious I've got some calamari you want to do here we're in Spain so traditional Spanish tough person it beats eating Spanish tapas in Mansfield well we can come down here to Santa penser and have a little bit of lunch it's oh yeah some I don't really want to talk about I think my work things need a meetings and stuff it's just thought to you nice weather wise know what I spend on the beach later yes so now let's see these muscles calamari before you finish them all off [Music] the beach here at Santa pond Sur in New York who is actually really nice I love it when they're in little Cove like this it was pretty quiet as well considering it was a middle of the day it was quite a lot to see we'd washed up on the shore as you can see by the color of the sea I think they've had storm recently because there was a little boat overturned out in the harbor as well [Music] [Applause] [Music] Santa pom sir does look like a lovely resort and I have to say that if I did come back to me offer for a holiday this would be the sort of place that I'd like to visit [Music] right so we've done the beach yep I've gotta pass I mean enjoy it did the mussels are so fresh what Inditex oceans i pressure than you get some in Mansfield Elise yeah so when you wanna go next well Anne you must draw donkey a short straw donkey I do you want to straw donkey because when you go to Spain you have to have a shotgun cake okay I'll find somewhere that so store donkeys them excellent so if we went in search of brie cheese straw donkey and we didn't really have much success on that phrase so we've tried and you're walking we must have tried every single tourist shop here in Santa poncy and not one of them had any bloody straw Dom needs we have looked everywhere for this Bloomington straw donkey for this one only cost your time anywhere that sells straw donkeys in Santa pom so can have a flamenco dancer but you can't go distraught Don okay back to the Batmobile [Applause] [Music] in search of the fabled straw donkey I decided to take us to magaluf surely if anywhere in New York has sold these things it'll be the biggest tourist resort on the island okay so we are here in what is possibly the cultural capital of Spain Magaluf so in true in flight video style I'm going to try and do something a little bit local a little bit authentic Spanish you look at me I know I do thank you they wear these in Spain and these little tiny class is wearing these a Sam nobody nobody is wearing uh-huh like that well I have seen the films and I have seen TV and I know this eating them and I'm nervous here thing the kids watch about the ball they don't wear sombreros knit them all that's wrong now you're laughing aren't you oh I nearly got run over because he was staring out your laughing at you so hard but on a separate note good said cannot find Astrid on key so now all this way at least way to me old ker to find the bloody straw donkey i'ma come from evenin Magaluf capital of Spain straw bloody donkey so it's brought me a wind chime from the garden not same thing at all if anybody knows where you can get a straw donkey in New York comment in the comment section down below and they're not laughing at me they are all anointing because they're saying what a story of icon I am driving through the streets mile off looking like a local [Music] donkey Lippert rocking an amazing hat we headed back to the airport at Parma we found the traffic here a New Yorker pretty busy compared to the other islands that we've been to in Spain [Music] [Music] [Music] once outside we decided to head to the lounge again once again using our priority Pass membership there are a number of lounges you can use here at Palmer Airport but this is the one that we chose we did have a look around but a couple of the others we couldn't find or were closed for renovation so this seemed like the obvious choice even though it was some distance from our gate [Music] [Applause] [Music] as it got closer to our departure time it was time to head back to the gate but we have a little bit of an issue the Rachel suffers from fibromyalgia and this rather fond of walking today it was great finally come along and give another lift the assistance team here at Palmer were really good and even though we haven't booked they came with the car for us within about ten minutes of requesting it in the lounge our flight back to East Midlands was called for boarding about half an hour late which is the first time that I've ever actually been delayed with Ryanair I'm gonna be around with a crumb rail [Music] tonight's right home had the old-style seats which are a little bit more battered but they are a lot more comfortable because they have a lot more padding in them [Music] feeling a little bit peckish I decided to try one of Ryanair's delicacies on the flights on the way home I helped it for the pizza and fries which sounded amazing from the menu boots as you can see it wasn't quite as impressive when he actually arrived at my seat and it's just like Papa John's enjoying the view darling the skies over the UK have cleared up the lows with the salmon got back and we've got this amazing view of London as we commenced our descent and down into East Midlands our entire trip down to Spain and back today was pretty inexpensive the flights were 30 pound return each the car hire every New Yorker was just 5 pounds 99 the good part about Majorca being a tourist island is that they used to dealing with much longer stays the airport parking at East Midlands cost us just eight pounds of the day all in all it cost is less than a hundred pounds for two flights meals car rental and parking here at East Midlands which compared to getting a taxi to the restaurants having an expensive meal here and then getting a taxi on the way back again wears out quite a lot cheaper what we do it again though not really sure Ryanair is cheap but it certainly isn't cheerful as we entered the arrivals hall here at East Midlands I have perhaps the funniest moment of the day just check out this guy in freedom [Applause] [Music] okay okay so we are back here in Blighty in the UK we have got midnight thanks to Ryan air in there lovely delay tonight I usually said that they're quite reliable but tonight they kind of let the side down a little bit that's mean things how have you why importantly ready to enjoyed today's well trip down to well I definitely enjoyed luggage so thanks to them I am gonna say that I'm definitely not ever gonna stand for honor owner ever again the seats were rubbish their drinks were rubbish I mean make your own latte hello really complain oh you do the cheap rubbish e-flite you value CERN hours can be first-class rage my marriage not Ryan every just have a bit of a ring to it no just no you stick to the cheap rubbish applies if you want me to do anymore you need to be sent back on our Airlines sounds like idea well I hope that you guys have enjoyed this video as much as
