The Preachers Reflect on What They’ve Learned So Far

so fellow preachers what have you learned in these three short weeks I guess I've learned how to overcome fear on a different level because fear has the power to try to paralyze you as the ability to try to steal your character of who you who you are and through this show it has shown me how to overcome a certain level of fear and I'm so grateful to be with you great men of God because I have learned a lot from you three you have blessed me just oh man we love you Oh Q I feel like I feel like I'm on a football team all over again and we got the running back we got the quarterback and we got the linemen I'll be there you got you got to you got the official player the linebacker so I love y'all guys now relative of the trophy love you man oh you don't think that you could learn a lot in three weeks yeah I learned a lot about myself I'm sad for a number of reasons and it's okay to be sad this is a life-changing experience and out of as you said earlier when we were together out of over 300 million people in the world we were chosen God chose us to be right here right now at this moment in 15 and time I learned that there was so much more to who I was and now I can't go back to the portion of John that I was before this show and whether I'm on a pulpit or in front of a camera I'm gonna be everything God created me to be and I'm not going to apologize for I feel like this show showed me I've been muting critical aspects of my manhood to appease a particular crowd I'm not going to mute my voice to please any that's right I'm gonna be every single thing God made me feel I also I also learned how much I need brothers a friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity I was the only child growing up I always wanted brothers and there have been a few times in these weeks where I've cried in your presence about things and you guys were there for me and it don't take long when you know you got the right hearts around you I want to tell you in front of these people you are with my friends but you're also my brothers I'm doing a great truth that you would allow me to be vulnerable in front of you to share my pain and my joy in front of y'all and I hope that America sees that what's happening here is a revolution and the revolution is being televised I think for me that I've been a preacher for 28 years I got a pastor for 26 years and I've been the guy who's always been diplomatic trying to bring people together wanting to talk to all people but this show stretched me because there were times where guests were invited with conversations that I had never delved into and there were times and certain guests were invited that I was uncomfortable in the are are uncertain how this conversation should look or should I be having this conversation with somebody who's different from me because people in the world would say well you're a Christian preacher why are you talking to them and I've learned over the past three weeks that if I can't sit down and have a conversation with anybody then I need to quit preaching because the Ministry of Jesus is not just the people who look like me but for the world and for those pastors who sent hate mail if you cannot love people regardless of where they are then turn your license in turn your Bible in because you don't represent the minister Jesus Christ please let it go to me just let it go there's an African proverb that says if you want to go fast walk alone but if you want to go far walk in a group and for most of my life and most of my ministry I've been a lone ranger and so to have a company of the Magnificent four to walk with me I feel like I'm gonna go further than I would have ever gone in my life or in my ministry because I know you all have got my back you can never ever be a success and satisfy everybody that's right and if you can mute those who are critics and those who are skeptics you'll be able to go further my mother said something to me years ago John and stay with me she said investigate none of your haters have ever done more than you why don't you put that in perspective right helps you your valuation okay
