The interviewer is extremely capable. She interviews higher-up casino executives who give extremely intimate and revealing details about their company's financial histories. She kinda presses them and gets some surprising answers sometimes. The editing is great, the interviewees are interesting, super-duper recommended from ya boy, internet_trashcan. Always bringin the hottest heat in town.
The basic requirements for beating the house in Blackjack seem to always come down to playing a perfect game statistically and then finding a way to take advantage of human error somewhere in the system.
A pretty good documentary. I liked how the covered the down market years and how they affected the casinos on the business side of things.

Haha. Sure, this Whale (who, incidentally, also works as a a consultant to the gaming industry), along with top casino execs, just want us to know how easy it is to make millions in Vegas.
His advice:
- Make big bets. Bet really big hands. The more you bet the more you win. Bet as much as you can.
- Won milions in Atlantic City because they were going through tough times and were so desperate for business they would fork over piles of money to anyone who wanted to make big bets. By the way, Vegas is going through some tough times, they are desperate for your big bets!
- Make big bets. Big bets = more winnings.
- Made millions in Vegas when they were in financial difficulty after the financial crisis, they would give away tons of money to entice big betters. By the way, Vegas casinos are in tough times again. Now's your chance!
-Make big bets. The more you bet the more you win.
- Use your big betting swagger to negotiate better rules with the casino, like splitting hands and doubling down. This allows you to bet even more... I got 8 hands of $75k each on the table... practically guaranteed to win!

- Dealers make lots of mistakes. All you gotta do is have lots of money on the table and then wait for them to screw up! They do it all the time!

It's all about enjoying life. Life kinda sucks and they want nothing more than to just help you enjoy your time and money in a good old fashioned way. Honest. This is how people used to have fun back in the good old days.
But this reporter also asks the tough questions! How then do people lose money in Vegas? One of the top execs (Steve Wynn) pauses, leans in (as if this is just between you and me)... you know that big wheel just inside the front door? You pick an number and they spin the wheel? That's for suckers. That's where we make all our money. From suckers. The smart people, they just walk right past the big wheel and go straight to the blackjack tables. And place big bets. Because they're smart.

This is pretty much a commercial for Vegas.
His strategy boils down to counting cards, maintaining focus, and most importantly, prenegotiating special rules and discounts from the casino before he plays. He literally changes the game. So these "secrets" can't be applied by just anyone. You have to start out wealthy so that casinos will negotiate with you.
