no jumper coolest podcast in the world and today i got a young man who's on the rise absolutely killing [ __ ] in the city right now it's the one and only peso how you doing dude what's the deal man i appreciate you having me yeah i'm excited to have you on here man we got a little glimpse of you when we did the uh trapzilla interview you came and pulled up uh on the on the screen for a little bit yeah i'm glad to get in here for a deeper conversation yep how's everything going it's going good it's going good life's good you got a lot of chains for a young man not just a little son for now how does someone get that many chains at such a young age i got them when i first barely popped off so i ain't even got some new [ __ ] you bought them all at once yeah really how many are we looking at like four that's an easy four yeah four and you bought them all when you first started getting money off music oh really that [ __ ] how much it's not even worth saying blew that [ __ ] but that's not like you're not signed right uh it's complicated okay but so was it like you got a big advance check are we just talking about you got money off of your youtube i got my advantage and i blew it on change oh okay yeah i ain't mad at that you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes what's done is done now you just gotta make another advance or another bag yeah i was just you know it was just a lot of money at once i was like what should i get [ __ ] changed how old were you when you first popped off i was i was early 17. okay early 17. and you had never really had money like that before so you just went crazy uh yeah yeah like you know we was getting money like i was getting money but like to get like a lot at once yeah to get a lot at once and not have to like you know what i'm saying yeah it was it felt good so i you know when you got money like how we got money you had to go up on your chain after a while you got to go so i was just like i don't got upon these boom just go spin that [ __ ] and you went gold with it too huh that was just a style you always appreciate it yeah like you get it like it like for us like the homies and [ __ ] like good [ __ ] when you got big gold chains like oh yeah you get into it right he got money how old are you now 18 19. no i'm still 17. still 17. yeah okay so tell me a little bit about you being a young man and mayworth because or maywood sorry jesus christ they're going to kill me for that uh being being from over there because they're saying that this is like a section in l.a that i guess that there hasn't been a lot of rappers from over the years and they ain't actually been any right uh i don't know i didn't even like try to blow up it just happened type [ __ ] really yeah like i ain't even try to blow up like um i i shot that video in august right so i was six i was 16 and a half i had like turned 16 and i wasn't even trying to blow up you just wanted to shoot a video and figured it would be some regular shots i just shot a video i just shot a video and uh because like i said uh sway was like getting ready to turn himself in right so it was august and i had just shot a video because i made six blocks i made that song right and everybody was like it's a banger you shoot a video to it and i'm like man [ __ ] rap like i ain't worried about rap right now like i'm trying to figure it out because you know i was dropped out you know i i didn't really have like you know what i'm saying i wasn't i didn't i wasn't like i didn't figure it out i knew i wasn't gonna get no job [ __ ] like that so you thought you were gonna be a street dude for the rest of your life yeah for sure pretty much end up going to the county and then going upstairs and then just you know are you kind of excited to see what the county was like hell nah i wasn't excited to even to be in there like i was just but i knew that's what like in my head that's what i oh i'm destined for that i wasn't gonna work no regular ass job but let me let me ask you this it's like do you feel like that that is all that you ever like considered like did you never even like realize that you could be something bigger than just another statistic getting locked up [ __ ] nah not really like that's all i really like thought about like just that that's what i was destined to be you know right that's what i thought my cards were like you know you know how like some people have like a [ __ ] up ass life yeah i thought oh [ __ ] i'm just i just got those cars [Music] do you think for those who don't know you uh we're there at the i mean i guess you could tell us about it if you want but you saw your father murder when you were six yeah you think that sort of like painted your your vision of what was possible in life like you painted the rest of my life for sure not yet for sure it did that that because i was supposed to die that night but they they were supposed to kill you too yeah and you're sick what was your dead into that there would be people who were supposed to kill him and his child my dad was a regular ass man believe it or not really yep that was a regular ass man he was a hard worker and so why would people want to do this to him i don't know really yeah i mean i just feel like you know regular-ass people don't often have people going out of their way to kill them and especially if they're like how did you know that you were supposed to be killed as part of that because i was they had us both like in in the room oh type [ __ ] yeah and so do you remember this clear as day or is it kind of blurry after all these things i don't know that [ __ ] clearly and how did you get away from the situation he did like a like he went like like like because he was biggest [ __ ] he was like six five like he was biggest [ __ ] and he was like he was a bodybuilder too he was big as [ __ ] and so they was like how old were they they were young one of them was like 18 and another one was like uh no one was like oh i remember but they were both young so he was kind of older already too so he had that grown man power so when he like got up like they like he was you know what i'm saying he's big so this was just like a robbery at first they just were trying to take [ __ ] out of the house robbery because i've been done robberies and they never went like that right or we don't you know what i'm saying they don't ever but they didn't know who your dad was prior to this [ __ ] i don't know oh you know i'm saying oh no i don't know i was only six i don't really know like right you know what i'm saying like i didn't go through my dad's phone none of that [ __ ] i don't know so right i mean i i realized how important it was to you when i heard you mention it over and over in in different songs and i heard you you know like your first big song like you fully mentioned it like you you weren't going to come out and tell people that this is you without also explaining that that was part of what made you who you should yeah that should change me a lot because like after that um [Music] everything just went like sideways you feel me like behavior problems you know a lots of focus and a lot of stuff like i couldn't sit in class i was jumping all the time like you know for me i've seen my dad like i heard the shots like i've seen everything like i didn't just you know they'd be like oh yeah i've seen the homie get killed now you heard that homie get killed no i seen my dad get killed like it wasn't like like i saw everything type [ __ ] so does your mom or is the school trying to like put you in therapy or like get you help at that time to deal with the fact that you would dealt through this at first i was getting a lot of passes like i'd get like i didn't culminate fifth grade i got kicked out for you know just being a badass little kid i took you know knives to school like me we had actually caught my first case in fifth grade like not my first case but they put me in like like a social worker i had all types of [ __ ] on me like like it was because i mean it was it was it was stupid like it was stupid like right it was it was it's stupid as [ __ ] like but they were worried about you yeah for sure like i didn't it wasn't even like a case like it was just like i got caught with like you know how they don't play like getting caught with like right so but some kid ended up getting poked and they caught me with the knife but you know what i'm saying so uh it was it was just stupid and you know obviously i already knew the code at a young age i didn't say nothing so i just i took the rap for it you know they didn't really like they didn't really like tell us they didn't really tell us anything like because it wasn't like he didn't get stabbed he just got like scrape type [ __ ] okay so then i ended up getting kicked out after me and my uh my little brother be some be some kid up be some kiddo we got kicked out and then after that i just uh and again like i got kicked out of 8th grade too i had dropped out but then with that whole therapy [ __ ] and then plus this new [ __ ] called no kid left behind they uh ended up just passing me to ninth grade then from ninth grade just i went to jail and all types of [ __ ] damn how'd your mom deal with it she kind of like already seen it coming type [ __ ] i know when like she heard my my charge she was just like what the [ __ ] like but you know your chargers for stabbing somebody no no in ninth grade oh okay yeah different charge no hell no i got a it was attempt it was all types of [ __ ] it was like a big ass case right it was big as [ __ ] yeah because i when i'm watching videos about everything with you you know i don't want to go into a ton of detail but yeah they definitely make it out like you were on some wild ass [ __ ] at a very young age it was big it was a big case and i was uh it happened like like right after school type [ __ ] so all that [ __ ] wanted to play yeah they charged me with uh medical society public endangerment all types of [ __ ] was it was big it was wild right and at the time when i was 15 this was what no was i 15 or 14 i don't remember but at the time we didn't have that uh all these new like kids can't get you in our life now like we didn't have all that [ __ ] so i was facing some time right and uh i remember i was an lp in s1 high risk offenders and [ __ ] and he was doing riots and all types of [ __ ] it was going crazy how does that even happen though like the older dudes in the in the cell or whatever are telling you that there's gonna be a riot and you're like well [ __ ] it i'm getting down no hell no we was all facing wooza like getting ready to go up to the compound and [ __ ] all of us so we like [ __ ] we're not going just like that the [ __ ] like we're gonna be in here like for a long ass time might as well have fun so uh when uh when a supervisor from over there came to talk to us like tell us all right this was going to happen we packed them out oh my goodness and how much additional trouble did you get in for that uh it was just like a it wasn't that but they hit us back though so it wasn't like they hit us back right so like it was it was r our unit plus like i think one more unit x x right next to us i don't know what's it called x or uh yeah x x one and x two i think that's what it was called right next to we were the last units there right so we were like the last kids there so like i don't know like we like they they fought they fought back with us type [ __ ] like they were slamming us matching us on the floor like they did us dirty too so it kind of like just like we we there's cameras like you see where you got that black [ __ ] right there right cameras right there cameras right there cameras right there we threw shirts over the cameras so they didn't really see wow so it was our word against theirs and we had like beat up marks too we're like man the cameras were closed what the [ __ ] like they they did us we were self-defense i feel like you covering the camera kind of makes you like automatically guilty yeah but still like we we did have bruises though it's not like we beat each other up yeah so so how long were you in there for this [ __ ] and how did you end up beating it i was so so so funny funny thing is with that it was only one eyewitness and i can't even really speak too much but yeah so but point is no never came to court so i got out really yeah wow does that feel like you have like a second lease on life because for a while i went right back in yeah i went right back in right back to doing the same [ __ ] you were doing nah as soon as i got out i went i went back right back in i was on a run for like a month and then i ended up doing i ended up doing like another i got out i did a i was on the run for a month got kyle i only went i only went so since so they had already closed down los padrinos which was my home juvenile hall okay so all the other juvenile halls were packed so like violations gun charges like [ __ ] like that a little [ __ ] he was going home so i was so since i was violation because i cut off my house dress i only uh i got i got out on house race again and so i ended up doing like a month and some change on house so you cut the the ankle monitor off yeah i cut the monitor off because um and they still just let you out like that's supposed to be like the worst thing like that there's been rappers who did that and they got like five years because that's what fujiano's dealing with right now he did that i think they gave him five years yeah so after that like i i went uh i was clean for a little bit and then i started flocking again so i went back to jail on christmas christmas day i went back to jail so you know get some little money on christmas day yeah when i went back to jail and i ended up coming home july late july wow came home late july then uh i started rapping till 6 o'clock and so were you thinking like this is going to be something i'm going to do and then i won't have to go and get in trouble anymore right yeah hell nah i was still [ __ ] around were you even thinking about the money side of things no you just wanted to rep your [ __ ] yeah i didn't have like no i didn't really have like no like guidance so i didn't i didn't and plus i like when i did like rap it wasn't no managers or right no nothing like that to be like and you have talent or like you know what i'm saying it was just like a little [ __ ] studio there's a bunch of little kids with guns in the alley exactly like we were just like [ __ ] around like we wasn't even like i didn't even really think oh yeah there's gonna be a way out right i wasn't thinking like that hill no i was thinking like well the people you have problems with in the street might see this and and see what you're getting at yeah was just like oh come do this song real quick like swade helped you make that first song yeah like he got me in the studio like he was like man you got to get off the streets like you you you know right but isn't the irony of like you trying to get out the streets and then also making a video where you're talking about a bunch of crazy [ __ ] you got guns in the video obviously the cops are gonna see it and then obviously the cops are gonna even if you're not like actively breaking the law right then they're gonna see that video and they're going to all of a sudden have a big ass target yeah even because i seen that they pulled you over and they knew your name immediately and [ __ ] yeah not yet but they've been on me since i was a little ass boy so it ain't new like us in maywood we don't got no police department right because they defunded it you defended it a long last time ago so we got sheriffs and they know me cherishing gang unit that's all we got so they be all up on the block really they're around all the time you're like constant presence yeah wow that's crazy so do you feel like the cops are you know horrible to you and your people or do you feel like they're dealing with a very hard situation and that they're relatively reasonable like how bad are they relatively reasonable they are decent hell yeah like they could like they cool but they just like you know what i'm saying we do be doing a lot too though yeah a lot so they do like you know what i'm saying i guess for the safety of the people but have you seen cops do like terrible [ __ ] to people that you love like beating the [ __ ] out of them and all this stuff that no hell no really i haven't seen that okay hell no i'm interesting man i'm uh what fire on the cop don't do that to me because i'm a juvenile i'll beat that case um don't do that to me i'ma suck your ass right back but you're not gonna be able to use that juvenile card for much longer huh yeah the day you turn 18 you gotta clean up your act no i'm on a run right now oh right yeah i heard uh so when you have to turn yourself in well i mean you're on the run so whenever you can catch me damn so so how long you been on the run for uh i got the messages and and what are you supposed to turn yourself forward in for at this point uh both of the rappers i interviewed today are on the run from the law for the record uh [ __ ] they trying to hit me with some [ __ ] but like as far as it goes it was like it's just some [ __ ] it's just it's some [ __ ] but still they trying to give me they're trying to give me some time i'm gonna lie hmm how do you feel about that when you think about that when you the idea of doing a couple years uh yeah that just sucks you know because back then i didn't give a [ __ ] you know but now and you got money [ __ ] all types of [ __ ] right you kind of don't even i don't want to give that up you know yeah right like you but the [ __ ] that they're mad at you about is stuff that probably happened before you started out money and [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah for sure yeah damn yeah cause i mean now you're seeing things you're seeing what the possibilities are right now you're starting to be around bigger rappers you're seeing what these sold-out shows are like crazy seeing what the bag looks like what the streaming checks start to look like yeah [ __ ] that should be crazy for sure um but are you at ri like if you turn yourself in are you confident that they're gonna treat you like a juvenile or are they gonna treat you like an adult because it's so close and because you might have some serious [ __ ] oh no it just all depends it just all depends on like how like it plays out like weird like i don't know i don't know how it's going to play out right you'll never know like we're doing all cases like it just either takes a turn for the best or the worst you'll never know right [ __ ] um so what are you trying to do like what what's the most important [ __ ] for you to do in terms of your career and stuff right now while you're you're still free like are you just recording like crazy obviously in the interview maybe i ain't even been recording what you've doing you been but but like like i mean i'm not like i'm not like worried about it worried about it because with the whole like because it i already i caught the case as a juvenile so no matter what happens i i'm not getting charged as an adult i know for a fact plus with all this new law [ __ ] going on covered all types of [ __ ] like the homie caught a body he got eight months really they found him guilty of murder yeah juvenaldo oh okay geez like a camp program it's really like like 12 months good behavior you come home eight months have you always felt like you were really desensitized to violence what do you mean like you've seen enough violent [ __ ] at a young age that it just doesn't really affect you the way that it does with normal people yeah like it just don't like it just make your life fight or flight a little bit more like trigger fast like you just more precautious paranoid all that [ __ ] right and like not like i wouldn't say like that big guys where you use i don't know desensitized yeah that [ __ ] you know like you're born sensitive you know you're a baby somebody makes a loud noise you start crying then all of a sudden you're like 18 and you see somebody get killed in front of you and you're like i mean that's that's the definition yeah for sure but like yeah no that [ __ ] don't make it like oh [ __ ] like any little thing the [ __ ] right did you find yourself resorting to violence a lot or like very quickly when you were young like if somebody pissed you off you would just be so quick to fire on them yeah because of my dad my pop star like because of that though it wasn't because of like i was trying to be active because of my pops you know yeah yeah for sure it wasn't like no oh i'm i'm gonna try to be the biggest bully or no i wasn't no [ __ ] like that hell no it was just like you know they had no pops like do you still feel like you deal with anger issues like you have a hard time with your temper and [ __ ] hell yeah i'm trying to work on it though like i'm trying to work on it because like in this industry that [ __ ] will not get you booked that [ __ ] or not like i don't already like [ __ ] up a lot of [ __ ] you know really yeah yeah like so i'm trying to like work on that a lot because you know you do like in this industry and in this world of music you do deal with a lot of like slow people a lot of like you can't just be what boom click the fire on something you know you right they'll be like oh yeah we're not [ __ ] with him he's a liability or he this this like so i kind of like i'm trying to change that for sure yeah definitely it becomes essential over time you hear about people all the time where it's like little things will happen at their shows or whatever and they're kind of blacklisted or just have a hard time getting opportunities just because of some dumb [ __ ] they're involved in one time yeah yeah yeah for sure yeah my goal now is like you know to be like you know for my race a big artist not to be the biggest gangster like that's not what i'm going for i realized that also honestly with the shoreline back in the day because we would be at their shows they're playing these huge shows for 10 000 [ __ ] people and [ __ ] and then all of a sudden the homies are getting into a fight backstage and i would be going to get it on my story just not thinking twice about it thinking like oh it's a fight i'm gonna put on my story and i'd have people from the label and [ __ ] like diving on top of me like don't post that don't post that because they didn't want shoreline to get the reputation for being violent and [ __ ] so that makes a lot of sense to me now even though it probably should have made sense to me then too yeah no yeah that's definitely what like what i do want to go for like you know yeah be cool like definitely so okay tell me what it was like when you started getting the reaction to six block where did you just put it up on youtube and then all of a sudden it starts going crazy [ __ ] yeah honestly like with all honesty i swear to god i'm not lying i put it up and it went crazy right like it just did his thing like at first i put it up and like you know what i'm saying because i ain't gonna lie i was a bully in school i'm not going to sit here and be like i wasn't i was a bully like my deans hate me all that [ __ ] like i tell you like for me i was a bully and [ __ ] and uh because i never kicked it with like kids my age i always had older homies and [ __ ] right so you know with them slapping on me and plus like you know getting that again like you know with older homies so i always had like a more advanced squabble right so i would go into like school and like you know what i'm saying if anybody were [ __ ] with you you'd be quick to no not even that just i'll be on purpose like i was a bully i was like an annoying kid i ain't gonna lie to you like so at first they were like man he [ __ ] he [ __ ] he but like you know what i'm saying like yeah he's not gonna rap no none you know i'm saying a bunch of [ __ ] too because i was about me into [ __ ] too you were mean to girls yeah yeah throwing milk on them you know what i'm saying did the girls like you though were you the kind of guy that girls were trying to be around you see that's the thing though like at the time i wasn't going for like trying to be a pretty boy i didn't have clothes you feel me i didn't have like i had what i would what you know flocking like yeah i i did have you know what i'm saying but like now it's way different yeah so back then i wouldn't go for like the pretty boy like i wasn't trying to have [ __ ] i wasn't trying so all i cared about was violence and money but how does that make you feel about women as a whole that they weren't interested in you before you had [ __ ] no i ain't [ __ ] no local [ __ ] i'm gonna be [ __ ] under them hoes that from my city even the bad ones from when you were younger if if they wanted to [ __ ] with you now you're still not interested already oh okay yeah that's that [ __ ] probably already smacked so i'm not worried about it yeah because i mean that is kind of crazy though that like you know their attitude on you could change so much yeah you came up and got money well if the show changed well i don't have it look like [ __ ] thought it was a joke when i first started doing this [ __ ] now they all like are you rapping now like oh oh i see you doing your thing i always believe shut your [ __ ] ass up [ __ ] smack you oh my god that's hilarious and you're still 17. this is like a grown man conversation like the conversation about like how girls were when you were in high school and stuff like you you're still in high school yeah not but like yeah a lot of [ __ ] do be thinking about murder though and they'll be lying but you're not actually still in high school right you stopped going or yeah i stopped going as soon as in ninth grade okay yeah and they're they're not trying to make you go back at this point it's like the battle's over my p.o just well [ __ ] i got a new po she rested my case i got a new po and she would start dealing with me but i haven't even talked to him i don't care what he talking about but yeah i ain't going back so how did you deal with like the attention you were getting as soon as that video started blowing up all of a sudden everybody in your neighborhood knows you getting a million new instagram followers people talking about it at first it was like i was doing my thing like you knows like left and right politics and then you know what i'm saying so but [ __ ] now everything's like everything's cool so you put that out and all of a sudden you're on the radar for like gang [ __ ] like all of a sudden people who didn't even know about you are like very concerned like who is this kid talking like this yeah for sure yeah so did you have to kind of like make your allegiances in the street more clear at that point did you have to figure out exactly who you were down with oh yeah you know what i'm saying and that was all smooth sailing the ogs wanted to embrace you uh oh yeah you seen the people i was with when i came for the last interview right yeah so yeah so it kind of just stamped it you know what i'm saying right so [Music] so you feel like you're like well taken care of in that room oh yeah for sure what beyond well taken care of so that's part of how you know trap nah okay i knew trap uh i met him through uh swifty right uh i like a show or some [ __ ] like the wii smoke festival i don't know what the [ __ ] it was but that's how i met him right you met him smoking weed with him no uh it was a show yeah and i don't know if he was the i don't know i don't remember exactly how like we crossed but yeah it was like do some show [ __ ] you smoke weed still though or you're not just whenever like they got it i don't be like i don't i don't sit at home be like who got some tree for me like but if you're around people and they're smoking 500 months so you're gonna you're gonna hit it a million times yeah for sure okay you're not on papers right now you don't have to do p-tests or anything no no i want to run okay good point yeah but yeah so then it started like i started going up going up going up and then six blocks started catching like crazy they uh started doing that king of the edgar [ __ ] oh they started calling you that yeah like king of the edgar so it kind of like because i cuz look man it's a funny ass story behind that [ __ ] like my hair i used to have long hair like i didn't have that cut i had i had long hair that i had really long hair so when i went on a run i cut it off with like home at home though so you look different yeah so and i didn't have no tattoos no nothing like that and i was like out of all the homies i was the only one that always had long hair okay so it was like oh yes the one with the come over oh it was going to come over i was going with long hair skinny long hair so oh yeah we going straight to 56 you know where to find them as soon as they said skinny long hair they knew exactly who it was they didn't care about it could have been the neighbor it could have been another skinny long hit they've gone straight to me every time right so i got tired of that [ __ ] i went on a run and when i went on the run i trimmed it down and so it looked like i didn't even know that that [ __ ] was going around because i didn't have instagram i wasn't on instagram i didn't give a [ __ ] about social media i wasn't even cracking right so i wasn't on instagram i wasn't doing anything i've heard an edgar described as a long shape up yeah so my hair was like you know right and i was about to shoot a video so i'm like i gotta go to the barbershop and at least fix like you know so that's how it came out yeah because i mean your haircut is not that different from the normal haircut the dudes get it's just a little bit longer in the front and just overall like it's just not as short as [ __ ] you usually get it yeah yeah so uh is that like a food's gone wild meme yeah is that where it came from yeah yeah yeah like it was like a meme and then so they started like king of edgar [ __ ] and it like made it go hard but then like people were like people would go to like people would go to looking at it like and say oh we about to clown them but then they hear the song they'd be like damn like he's been some [ __ ] so i started like going up going up going up song hit a million then 2 million then 3 million at 4 million now 5 million so it just started catching it but it went just like that i didn't know nothing like i started off zero followers i made an instagram because the song was picking up made instagram that following following following right and then it just went up fast that's crazy and you never thought about getting rid of the haircut though you were always committed to it yeah i mean i'm not gonna grow my hair back because then this is gonna take too long yeah like [ __ ] it just keep it but i did trim it way more i feel like it's just a popping haircut in general like i can think of a bunch of different like hispanic rappers who basically have that haircut and are popping and i mean even if i went short as [ __ ] like they'd still be like oh that's edgar like oh my [ __ ] it ain't even arguing no more i'm not yeah whatever right but so you really feel like you represent the mexican community and i don't know how important that's the thing though like i i do represent i i say i'm mexican everywhere i go they know i'm mexican right but like when you think of mexicans you think about like mexican rappers you think about a chicano rapper i'm not a chicano rapper what's the difference to you like they'd be like like it like like i don't know how to explain it like i don't rap about like like i know you've heard about the rapper i know you i know like i'm not that though you're you're a uh i'm a new generation yeah you're a young la mexican rapper who doesn't necessarily feel like you want to be tied to all these i'm not a ball-headed long-shot baggy clothes like i'm a new generation so i just feel like once the old heads get that through their head they'll start like you know what i'm saying [ __ ] with it you feel like you get respect from the older dudes already i feel like you probably do huh yeah no not yet for sure but i'm talking about like the instagram motorheads yeah but like that should be annoying like as far as like like hoods and everything they show stupid love and i show stupid love too like i mean i love i [ __ ] with everybody you think food's gone wild is overall good or bad for the community as far as for mexicans should keep me away from that [ __ ] you're not a fan yeah like i [ __ ] with their with their platform for sure yeah it's funny but they just like oh no they just [ __ ] it up like they just like i don't know i feel like when when you think about fools going wild and they say like right this foods flow one through 69 you start like they think it i think that's just a joke so you know what i'm saying like they think all that's just a joke i don't think my race is a joke at all i'm saying yeah i mean i feel you but at the same time it feels like that kind of says a lot about the community that there are so many jokes that everybody in that community gets or are willing to think it's funny you know it kind of says a lot about like the mexican identity you know that [ __ ] have their own culture they have all their own jokes and everything they're like half the time when i'm looking at the food's gone wild post i don't necessarily understand it yeah i have to google a word or some [ __ ] but you know that's what it is um okay i wanted to okay so that one thing i thought was really interesting about you though is that you didn't want to pop off young that you actually were cautious about that you kind of like felt like you were just gonna pop off once you came out so you actually wanted to wait i wanted to wait you could have came out when you were 13 or 14 you had music then uh i was [ __ ] around with it yeah like uh music always been a part of me like i feel it in my song and [ __ ] so it was always something that i did want to do but i didn't want to pop off this early though for sure i think it's too early hell yeah i'm grateful don't get me wrong like i popped off hell yeah like right see who don't want to pop off i'm grateful as [ __ ] for it but still i feel like i would have popped out like when everybody else popped out like it would've just been way better i would've had like way more [ __ ] because now i got like but i mean i feel like but i'm gonna figure it out though like i know i look a little dirty when he did this ain't what you want he was so young like exactly and now he's out here doing india all just even put he would have never ever in his life thought oh i'm gonna make india now like you know what i'm saying because that's like one of the big rules of the music game is that you only get to be new once there's only one time that they're looking at you for the first time so it's like the question is is like do you want to do that when you're super young or do you want to wait two years older but at the end of the day being that new face that new meme potential to people where they're looking at you for the first time that will always like be good for you but then it's on you to continue to make good music i may not nobody be talking about dirk right now if dirk dirk is just like every a million other dudes from chicago except he went crazy with the music and really really got nice enough that he gave us a reason that we still got to talk about it you know yeah yeah he's hard as [ __ ] he's for sure hard not yet but i mean i'm still like i don't know i feel like i kind of like separated myself from the la sound though and everybody could agree with that like i don't sound like an la rapper right i picked up the north uh flow that's how you define it yeah for sure who's the rappers that you listen to that you think actually influence your flow maji for sure yeah that is kind of your your flavor it's like a young ass mozzie yep and already got two songs with him too how did you get introduced to him devil nice i bet mozzie took a liking to you hell yeah hell yeah he's hard as [ __ ] he and he be showing stupid love too right yeah he's definitely always been somebody who's pretty good about supporting a lot of young talent and [ __ ] yes for sure yeah that's good to hear um okay so what but in terms of like la like was there anybody you were looking at on a more local level to be like okay i see him making it maybe i can do it as well uh no i never like compare myself hell not like because like i said i wasn't thinking like i'm gonna blow up off my first music video that was my first music video and i blew up so i kind of wasn't thinking like oh if he did it i could do it too the crazy thing about that video is like you know i'm so used to hearing young rappers say gangster ass [ __ ] and just not thinking twice about it because i'm just so [ __ ] jaded to it just used to it and i know they're all full of [ __ ] i don't know what it is about that song that you just like say a bunch of menacing ass [ __ ] and it really sticks in your head like oh [ __ ] this dude is serious i don't know i don't know what it is in my brain that i could like just tell that it was coming from a real place and then i watch your interviews and i'm like okay i believe it even more now yeah like because i really wasn't like expecting to blow up or nothing i was still like [ __ ] up i still like at that time i was in a very dark place you know i was off pills you know i'm saying like you could tell my face now in that video like if you would have interviewed me right there plus an interview now i look way different i sound way different like you know so i wasn't in a very dark place still right yeah you can really feel like this there's just certain things you say on there that like if you weren't angry about something you probably wouldn't say or at least that wouldn't come out as believable yeah i was for sure a thousand percent i was still in a very dark place so i was you know like you know what i'm saying like do you feel like just having some success and starting to realize that there is more hope for your life is that something that's been very helpful in terms of making you get into a better state of mind yeah yeah yeah for sure for sure hell yeah yeah cause i i got like you know anxiety ptsd all that [ __ ] so it did like [ __ ] me up a lot i know i have like very bad panic attacks all types of [ __ ] so it like got to the point where like i ain't gonna lie like suicide was in my in my head a lot really like i ain't going out to you yeah for sure i ain't like like i said i'm not here to be like yeah i'm the biggest gangster i feel [ __ ] right yeah killing myself all types of [ __ ] cause i just felt like my car's you know i'm saying i was supposed to die that night like so you know i lost my soul that night already too you know i saw my my best friend my dad get killed you know yeah and then we were both uh december babies birthdays on the same week so it was like it took like a big and i was with them every day so it like i lost my soul that night so i was just like as i got older i kind of got like i would see like you know what i'm saying like family and i'll be like damn i'm hurt yeah i was in the streets and my mom was working she's trying to figure it out her damn self you feel me yeah cause when uh my dad passed she was in school so she didn't even like wasn't stable herself so like as of right now like you know i got us you know make sure we straight but she work a teen job like right like i could go get hired right there right type [ __ ] yeah i mean honestly it's interesting that you use the word soul like saying you lost your soul because on that same song you say 30 stick with a beam quick to catch me a soul and there's just something about the way that you say it that really just felt like you know like like if it really felt something and i noticed you saying that you lost your soul that day like is in a way is there a connection there where it's like that [ __ ] you up so bad that you almost want to have that effect on somebody else like it just make you not care um like like it just make you like not care like i don't know how to explain it it's like a feeling like a cop will tell you the same [ __ ] like yeah that kid is bound to be a cold ass killer like he is like they could tell they sense it they see it right so i mean j you could tell off that video i had a p-80 it goes a long way that tells you a lot yeah in that video i had a p-80 that's a ghost gun right anything you drop ain't ain't coming back to you so you feel me like i was riding with that and i wasn't a rapper like swede would tell you too like i was just you know what i'm saying right so i was in a very like dark place pills all types of [ __ ] like and when you think about all those decisions you're making though when your problem pills when you're sort of living in a certain way it's almost like you don't care about yourself right yeah like i said i didn't care about life like i didn't care i mean take it taking all those pills and [ __ ] it's it's not killing yourself but in the long run it's basically like having a similar effect you know it's a slower version now i've been sober ever since but like at that time i didn't i'm thinking staring [ __ ] left me in this world like i don't give a [ __ ] like i'm gonna i'm gonna go crazy like and then i lost my dad so i was like do what i got to do until i either get life or they kill me right no so but you feel like you're in a better place now where you see yeah see what the i'm seeing what life is like about now you know what i'm saying like i'm starting to see like what a good life could be what an adult version of you who's happy and has money and has a nice career like a life outside of like jail and streets is there a part of you though that's kind of going to have a hard time leaving behind the the area that you were raised up in and i mean people nah not really like because i'ma forever stay tied into that [ __ ] like it's not it's gonna always be a part of me you know right that's that's what made me that's what kept me to survive that's you know what i'm saying taught me taught me everything i know so i'm always like give back to my community and all that you know all that [ __ ] like i'm gonna still do all that but uh as far as like not being paranoid and jumpy and not hell not actually never gonna leave right and no matter what like i could go to the best therapist i could have the best securities almost still like hell no right i'm saying definitely do you find it hard to connect with girls like do you feel like you felt love from women like it's hard like you guys my manager like i'm gonna be like if i'm in a room with [ __ ] i'm not gonna speak i promise i swear to god really until they speak to me i promise i swear to god they like that though they like the strong and silent type i mean i don't like i don't know it's just like i'm not used to that [ __ ] i'm still not used to it i'm not used to like i said i wasn't a pretty boy and then i wasn't like trying to get at girls and nothing like that because i i didn't look my best i didn't you know what i'm saying but so how do you now make sense of the very large number of women that i'm assuming are swimming up in your dms trying to get piped down oh oh no i said like a lot of a lot of a lot of girls say i look intimidating like having a bunch of face tattoos at 17 could do that no not like in the [ __ ] that i write about i don't necessarily rap about having sex no it's pretty much the opposite of that exactly so they'd be like oh [ __ ] like you know what i'm saying so girls love a gangster though i know but then like like you know what i'm saying they'd be like think they'd be thinking like i do i used to when i was first blowing up like i said when i was first blowing up and i had my little followers and all that stuff while instead i was still like but you know saying like so you got to be careful though man i did come on girls will get you set up wow hey man it's happened to better men than you are it's happened to a real g's for sure for sure they want to get their dick wet and they no yeah you see that's dino that's dino i don't be like i i got my gold tools i'm never thirsty right i'm not there's no there's nothing in this world and i'm not saying look never say never i pray to god it never happened but i'm not i think with my head not my dick that's good like that ain't all right [ __ ] out let me take this chance if i feel any type of gut like nope i'm not doing it oh [ __ ] who she is yeah she could be the baddest [ __ ] on planet earth money all types i'm not doing it that's why anytime you get some new [ __ ] you need to have your homie sitting in a chair on the other side of the room with the chopper like not only like no he'll know if i can feel an idea if i feel any type of way i'm just i'm good i'm good with the show i'm good but yeah i do i like that [ __ ] do be hard because i like i wouldn't say i'm shy but i just like oh no i i gotta just get more game as i get older i guess yeah and honestly like you just being young putting yourself in sloppy ass situations where you don't know what's gonna happen to you is like the worst idea so moving slowly when it comes to the girls is definitely a good idea because there's so many bad things that could happen especially when you start talking about grown ass women i mean i'm telling you i was on tour with a little pump i've seen grown ass women sucking this dude's dick he's 16. that's when our new girls were really [ __ ] up yeah you out here you're a whole pedophile and you don't even care because you've got clout and chains and [ __ ] yeah yeah that was kind of mind-blowing um for sure okay so like are you walking around right now like worried about what's gonna happen when you do get locked up are you thinking about turning yourself in is that an option i mean i'm thinking about it but 18 is right around the corner yeah so i'd rather just wait go to the county have a good birthday party hell yeah hell yeah about to go crazy a lot of [ __ ] gonna be like well you just turned 18 right oh [ __ ] i'm a pedophile too right yeah you know ladies you're all bad no i don't donation to him i don't listen to him why are you you're about to be 18 so i'm about to be 18. yeah [ __ ] it but also you're a g you don't snitch yep exactly you're not gonna tattle on all the girls that took advantage of you nobody i can't believe you made me [ __ ] a little boy i know i do be lying though we saying i'm 18 but look oh yeah it's not a lie though i'm saying i'm doing better than your boyfriend baby daddy all that [ __ ] so it's good man it don't even matter my girl one time little mosey was mad at my girl because little mosey was about to [ __ ] with this this porn star my girl tells the girl she goes that kid's 16. the girl's like oh my gosh she's so she doesn't [ __ ] him next time little mosey sees her he's like why you do that to me she's like i don't want my home girl to be a [ __ ] pedophile yeah you'll be around some bad [ __ ] once once the clock strikes 18 then i'll uh i'll get you in the zone yeah angela white oh man i'm telling you boy he's over twice your age you're not ready for all that i'm ready for that i'm ready for that there's not enough perks on the world to get you ready for that i don't need i'm gonna go get a rhino [ __ ] a perk what put that in the bar [ __ ] perk i'm gonna get a rhino like a probably i'm gonna get a rhino have my [ __ ] going that's a bar um okay but so are you walking around feeling stressed out or are you walking around feeling like [ __ ] when it happened no no you know uh hell nah we got uh last time watching the video and like 30 30 40 gang units hopped out on me and they were like what up peso like we know what's up we ain't gonna call your piano like so i'm kind of like not tripping like because i know what they want and i'm not going to do that more than once i want to [ __ ] up again i haven't been [ __ ] up i just been walking in a straight line they want you to do something even worse so they can really throw you in exactly so i'm like i've been like you know i got now i got like older guidance with me like so they like you know so i've been really thinking now like but they do want me to [ __ ] up and i mean and [ __ ] they probably gonna see this interview too and i'm not gonna say the name i'll be using but i do be using a fake name and they can't when it's a minor they don't have the right to take me to the station and fingerprint you know i'm a minor right can't do all that [ __ ] so they can't tell if i'm lying or not wow ain't never going to be able to tell until i turn 18. because i don't got you know the name i'll be using don't got a permit don't got nothing they don't got nothing no no wreck or nothing so they can't tell if it's me or not you're not worried that you you know that they're going to see this as you evading the law for a long period of time and maybe try to get you in worse trouble you know i appreciate your optimistic attitude because you know if i had like a jaywalking ticket hanging over my head i'd be nervous as hell but no i'm not really like like i said i'm not like worried about it like because i know i already noticed this this jail [ __ ] like i already know that [ __ ] but if i do get caught though yeah i'm not gonna be i won't be home for like a year and a half two years maybe when you think about being locked up again though what's what's the worst part about it i would think the food would be pretty bad hell no no foods that's just gas i love that [ __ ] really hell yeah what's the best stuff that you get in there uh [ __ ] me personally i don't know what the [ __ ] it is it's like chicken with like this sauce and veg like everything in there got vegetables like oh no that [ __ ] fired i don't know what it is it's like this like it looks like cat food but it's fire wow that's just fire i think anything looking like cat food would be something that i would probably be coming well i guess you get like crab cakes it kind of looks like no it's got food oh like it looks like caffeine it really looks it like smells weird too but you try it oh my god it's fire do you think you're like institutionalized because you actually like the prison food like nah but it's like like we don't get prison food though we get like we still kids we still get hot they give you a decent food yeah they give us good food they give us good food we actually get good food like and then plus like if you juiced up [ __ ] if you just stuff you get like food from outs uh you know what i'm saying depending on the day and the staff i get chick-fil-a jack-in-the-box mcdonald's lock me up if i get the fast food man yeah i'm on the outside i'm not your fast food you know we get the speaker we get a you know i'm saying it's not you know i can't really say too much but if you juiced up then you know it ain't [ __ ] get your own soap you get a uh what's this what's the sponge it's called the loofah the loofah you get shadows you know what i'm saying all types of [ __ ] so you're good it's lit you get to wear whatever sandals you want when you go in no only if you got juice they bring you something oh and then you can uh switch your shoes too you gotta wear them by bakers i'm gonna send you some crocs with a [ __ ] no jumper uh shave in there yeah but you know what i'm saying you gotta have to you gotta have juice and you'll be straight but i do like what i do be thinking about it like damn if i do get caught like it's gonna suck it's gonna suck like because i'm gonna be in there this is gonna be all bad it's not as far as like fights and all that [ __ ] i'm not worried about that i'm worried about like just how my how my judge is gonna take it right but i have a pretty like solidified reason for cutting off my ankle monitor and all that [ __ ] so what's the reason they shot my house up type [ __ ] so i'm just i'm scared that is a good reason it is a very good reason because my safety should be more important than me cutting off my ankle monitor damn it's real out here in these streets huh yeah we gotta get you out of there so they that that's what i'm gonna that's that's what i'm gonna say i'll be like uh uh my house got shot up you know i was scared for my life so i cut it yeah i was like everything it was just happening too fast i was stressed out arguing my mama like damn you shot the house because you were just too much going on so i [ __ ] cut it and i left i like that you're like workshopping what you're going to tell the cops here on the jumper man i like this kid i don't know what it is um so you're not really worried about recording more music before you go in because i would be thinking that that would be a priority is like okay if i'm going to get locked up i want to use 10 videos or whatever yeah yeah like to write music i got to go through [ __ ] i write stories like everybody that listens to my music i write stories right and they be saying oh you talking about the same [ __ ] well that's all i know i ain't i ain't never touched no snow i ain't this [ __ ] like that i just barely went to amusement parks like so i gotta live life to start rapping about [ __ ] hut was popping pills taking like this feel me on y'all gotta live life right i got to go do [ __ ] i respected yeah i seen there was a video you're going six flags for the first time so it's like i see i gotta do [ __ ] like that like i gotta go live a little live yeah i gotta live i just started eating like berries and [ __ ] like that so you know what i'm dead serious like i do gotta like you know i'll get to my player after this chapter i'm still in this chapter i gotta turn it in a little bit right so once i turn 18. rapping about some player [ __ ] like the blue blokes can and then they'd be rapping about some [ __ ] yeah they'd be saying something harsh they'd be in the club pop in 1942 and all that i'll be in the club too you know certain clubs yeah don't you know you never have problems getting in the club those walk you right in yeah yeah goddamn pays to have clout in this city doesn't it it's ripped by what it does i'm telling you it does what a world um damn i appreciate you uh hitting us with the story hopefully you do not end up locked up for any significant period of time coming up prayers up but either way i mean i'm just excited to see what you keep doing in terms of the music and everything you've been going crazy man sure for sure i appreciate you having me man you noticed the coolest podcast on planet earth he said it but sure you always been smelling peso like that yeah okay yeah that was always the idea yep it's crazy because i remember me and my we used to watch these shits and now i'm right here like that should be crazy right here next next next thing like remember when you do the uh was it was his new name john cabana oh boonk yeah it was all [ __ ] up he was just like well you're like i want to be doing that no i was just like damn like we i always are like wow once you get a no jumper in them solidified it solidifies your career for i really do i mean this is a fire interview you really hit us with all the facts and i just feel like the people are going to love you even more than they already love you yeah like this this right here no jumper solidifies you you don't have legends you gotta make me blush not enough room although i'm just keeping it like real this is honestly it means more than you probably would ever know to hear you say that yes i've been working my ass on this for a long time oh yeah not for y'all yeah that's the thing about me i'ma always be real and i'm always give credit where it's due that's why every time i get an interview i oh yeah sway made me go in the studio like you feel me you're a wise man oh yeah for sure an old soul oh yeah everybody tell me that i know
