The Perfect Sized Class C Motorhome For National Park Camping!

hey everyone i'm matt welcome back to another video today i am super excited we are taking a look at a coachman leprechaun that is not too short and it's not too long it might be the perfect length for you this is a 2021 coachman leprechaun model 260 ds we are gonna take a look at the outside features first and the inside features then we're gonna give you three things you love about this motorhome and three things we dislike about it we're starting in three two one hey everyone again welcome back to another video my name is matt from matt's rv reviews it's world zone channel giving you that true unbiased review about everything when it comes to rvs and again today i am super excited to be taking a look at this great medium-sized motorhome i don't want a small fry and i don't want a large fry i want it medium but before i begin i would like to say hi to andrea hey andrea hey everybody how's it going it's good it's hot it's hot we're in ocala because we wanted to move to tampa so we could drive to ocala yes but anyways yeah i'm excited we got some some cool rvs to show you guys so stay tuned yes yes and you know i told andre we're still gonna be going to both ocala and tampa because they do sell different products and i'm super excited that we got a leprechaun in andrea let's begin model is coachman leprechaun 260 ds the actual tip to tip length of this motorhome is 27 feet 5 inches that is a great length great for all state national parks up front here we have a nice fiberglass front bra on the front cap led lights and that is a windshield in the bunk over the cab there this is powered on the e450 chassis it does have the new 7.3 liter v8 it is the godzilla engine 350 horsepower and 468 foot pounds of torque and then right here check this out we got cameras on the left side right side also in reverse and then look at these tires andrea they're handcooks dynapros lt225-7 r16 and you got the shiny phoenix usa rims right there right over here at the door here's your mirrors here nice mirrors and then this is a running board to help make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle coming on down the side here this is going to be oh it does have the tv wow nice fury on tv with soundbar i love that normally i think the last time we did a leprechaun was only prepped for a tv very nice feature right there we have a little bit of storage okay coming on down the side here you have a place for solar you have the coachman rv comfort ride which is gonna be a little bit more comfortable to drive this down the road right over here we do have electric stabilizer jacks okay these are not auto levelers for a motorhome this size you don't necessarily need the levelers uh and then andre look at this nice big power awning with led lights isn't that nice it's a great size now andrea because this is a coachman motorhome they do use the asdale sidewall composite which is a green based material that will never delaminate on you very nice awning going the whole length of the rv right here's your water heater now as much as i appreciate them painting it tan to match this part they should have at least put the decals over that but no big deal we got power right here a little bit more storage because you can never have enough and then right here is a propane quick connect if you want to have a grill on the outside awesome coming around the back we do have a nice bumper for your stinky slinky seven thousand five hundred pound hitch no it doesn't mean this motorhome can tow seven thousand five hundred pounds you really wanna watch to make sure uh how much you're loading in here before you uh tow anything above 5 000 pounds very nice storage right there nice tail light design backup camera right there and we have a one piece um it's the one man it's been a while it's not tpl it's been a while since we've done a leprechaun it has the one piece cross flash mex uh like the pvc type roof andrea i don't know what it is but let's go up there and take a look all right i hope he stretched this morning here we go now hold on up here on the roof you can see this is a nice one piece roof we have not one but two max air fan covers here single ac unit 13 you can upgrade it to the 15k there's your digital antenna and here is a wi-fi ranger already on the roof hold on here we go now all right last step great if you haven't already the other side it looks great looks nice very nice we have your fuel fill up there uh black tank fill potable water fill powder tv outdoor shower power cord right there right here is going to be your cummins onan 4000 generator okay this is going to be a little bit more storage where's the tank flush the black tank oh good question andre probably under there yep uh there it is that's where you dump your black and gray tank all right thank you andrea couldn't have done it without you here's a little bit more storage right there and then here's your propane tanks right here that is the generator deer oh man so there's the coming zone and 4000 generator and here's the propane tanks that's what i get for being lazy huh yeah not wanting to open it there's your propane and andrea bing that's where all the tank sizes blank swifts and everything is for people who are watching on tv you can also see the specs of this motorhome in the description below well andrea the outside this motorhome looks great but the inside looks even better let's go take a look you sure are excited today hey yeah all right cargo carrying capacity might not be right there no it might be right here oh there it is thank you for having the air on 3064 pounds wow okay look at this interesting floor plans slides great floor plan look at this look at all the room okay so here we go a walk here and here a sofa a dinette and your own separate bedroom area okay very nice very interesting yeah we'll talk about you guys should have seen andrea's face a second ago we'll mention that when we get to that area okay but we're gonna start up here yes ma'am man it's been a while since we've done a leprechaun huh i know people keep buying stuff too fast okay this has the new 7.3 liter look at this the camera comes out again left blinker right blinker reverse blinker whatever you need you have you have um your buttons right there everything's right there everything this is the 7.3 so it's going to be easy to handle you got cup holders there i'm calling it two and a half cup holders cup holder cup holder and that might be a cup holder for a smaller one andrea how does it feel to be in the co-captain seat feels awesome you ready to hit route 66 yeah i'd rather be in the driver's seat oh okay you ready to hit route 66 yeah definitely here we go now this is very comfortable i like that it has cup holders not intimidating yep yep and then if people want to look at the seat right here look at that you do have the uh two-tone seat it's a little fancy and and you know it looks good i was gonna say okay lounge and so you can pull it back a little bit but not much with the seat correct correct and we got a bunk over the cab here yes ma'am holds 350 pounds okay okay this is upside down but you get the point well i love how and i also like how they do the safety nets yes which you can buckle up there at the top also i like how there's a max air fan yes to make it so it's not as stuffy you got a privacy curtain here and down there so you can pull those clothes and the tv does swivel out fury on tv you know we love that and here's your cv cd blue cd player cd dvd player which is very nice and then over here we do have nice big cabinetry that is big cabinetry isn't it very nice wow very nice okay and i like how they're held close by the magnet now andrea how do you look at those balances i don't know how do you feel about it i i i'm just the balances aren't bad i'm just is this what they're doing to try to hold it in now or something we can say the word unique it's different it's definitely different but i will say i do like that they gave you the daytime and the nighttime change yes yes that is definitely yes that's definitely yeah we no no no you don't yeah great great observation yes you don't normally see that on the class c's but this this is weird it is it is and then right over here this is what's called the j lounge okay so first we got a little bit of storage right there okay i really like this table it's you know you know it's nice you know i got plenty of space you got all that and then andrea let's say we have a guest and somebody wants to join us this pulls out like that bam bada bing bada boom also on top of the u it's the j u and then this drops down to make a bed on top of that awesome very nice and then across over here i will say i like this it's kind of like mirror like glass oh it's definitely glass frosted yeah very nice good storage okay and you have a tri-cushion sofa with one two three seat belts very nice there's a fourth seat belt right over there and i believe that's a jack knife let's find out yep yep it is a jackknife so it's good for one person but again with this motorhome you got to remember it's 27 feet 5 inches right so it i think it's kicking button taking names doing a really great job well andrea you know what time it is it's now time for the msrp no no we're gonna say it together okay you ready for like a little closet yes oh it's got shops in it very nice awesome and look up here you have a usb yep hdmi cable yep yep very nice so okay let's go back this way i'm gonna start backwards this time guys okay so here's the refrigerator it is a two-way refrigerator yes ma'am runs off your propane and short power and looks like we have a drawer under here very nice your pantry wow deep that is down here as well yes and then we got the oh a convection microwave oh very nice wow we got a three burner cooktop carry on it looks like great yes ma'am with the glass cover yes and looks like they gave you the oh sorry guys that's a magic chef yes magic chef wow i'm really off today it's okay magic chef and we got a cabinet up here yes okay got a round sink the extension and oh that's a tower of power power power right there under here you could put a little tiny trash can and then we got another oh these are nice look at those very i love that and if you don't have enough counter you have this just a nice little extension just a little bit yep awesome and there we go we got storage right here hang on i already opened that oh did you yeah well it's so nice for this bike okay so this is part of the wardrobe i guess yeah and back oh they got a little table here oh you know what that table is for that oh it's for when the seats swivel around those seats swivel around oh nice nice and then you got a drawer here yes cool feature yeah definitely okay hold on matt i will take that camera so if you guys just saw the bed had to flip up uh for the slide out to come in no big deal again you know if this was the 32 foot motor home he wouldn't like that but with this being 27.5 it's what you know had to do and there's the other and it's conjoining two doors nice and two one and two pocket door here yes yes window yep that's going to be nice now it's very dark in here it is and i don't understand why um got a little thingy and then you can mount your tv there okay that's a little bit better so we got a queen size bed yup headboard here maybe because the reason why it's a little bit darker is because you're missing two lights there and you don't have the side windows to let in more light um and then the storage up here very nice very nice good nice good size now there is a little nightstand well yeah over here you can see there's electrical outlet then you do have like a little table here too yes on your side as well yes and andrea i'm laying here and let me tell you i cannot feel the crease in the bed really no it's actually it's a pretty firm mattress and it's not that bad and there is a step up right there as you guys can see yep and then another step right here okay now time for the shower test kind of a small shower um but it works it works it's it's a little smaller it's a little tighter but it is a hundred thousand times better than a um than a radius shower yeah i'm seeing something that i've never seen before in an rv andre what's that going on there this huh maybe extra space i don't know that is strange right how far does it come out oh and then and then that's so weird okay that's just a little cap that's weird yeah i don't know what that's for i would think i mean if you needed extra counter space but i don't know guys what what is that for let us know let us know there's a towel holder right here and then andre we got a sink with a medicine cabinet and we have a cabinet under here yeah what is it i guess just like uh extra counter workstation yeah something yeah oh oh no it it definitely close the door no are you are you really cramped in there yeah they should have just taken this completely out um and again that this happens before all it's porcelain this is not a prime pooping position but it's okay i'll explain everybody what it means in a second no andrea it's now time we give everybody three things we love about the coachman leprechaun and three things we just don't like about it andrea what do we do first let's do three things we like about it three things we dislike about it yes okay we're gonna start right here i hate this bathroom it's very small and tight now listen i don't mind the bathroom being small and tight because again they're trying to cram a lot in 27 feet 5 inches but a simple fix to take that sink out and just leave the toilet and shower um would have made this so much better you know because here's the reality okay look at this i am my hands over the sink and in the bathroom at the same time with this if this was a 32-foot motorhome yes have the sink in the bathroom but with them trying to be smaller and tighter it makes it so you can't poop with the door closed um without being you know uncomfortable so or they should have definitely did a smaller like round sink a small one yeah so you have a sink to like brush your teeth right and not like not even have that counter and not even have have a very slim like you don't even need this because right you have a cabinet here yeah you could add it so yeah exactly exactly so that's one andre number two oh well i'm not liking how dark it is in here yeah for some reason it's dark in the bedroom and like to me that's how i feel yes yes i feel like maybe because the wood is if the wood was lighter it would probably be lighter or if there were side windows some more lights or another strip of light 100 agree so that's two and then andre you come out here that's number three yeah you know yeah we don't like the steps um we like the flush floor definitely but i get why they did it well yeah they did it so that this seat can swivel around um and that seat can also swivel around but i feel like that might be a pain to do yeah it's it's not that big of a deal in here um if it was just all one level i think it would have been a little bit better great so that's three things we don't like about it now it's time for three things we love about this motorhome you ready for me to go first sure back up here i'm gonna kind of contradict andrea but not really because i 100 agree it's dark in here but i do love how small this motorhome is and how it is going to give you a complete separate bedroom area you know andre and i we go to bed at different times and so she wants to sleep in here i can be out there watching tv or editing videos or whatever and um and i'm not disturbing her so that's one okay number two i have to say with as small as this is i love all the storage yes look at this you got the wardrobe here you got here you got so many places for storage in here and the pantry is amazing yes so that is they did a really great job on that yes they did so that's two and then number three this kind of goes number one but not really i love the size and the way they structure this right so like okay for an example a lot of people don't like the tv up here but i don't have a problem because this is 27 feet 5 inches you have a three seater sofa with seat belts you have the j lounge that becomes the u shape that also drops down to make a bed you still have a decent kitchen area a decent bedroom a decent everything and it's just a smart well-executed floor plan and at 27 feet five inch it's state national park friendly it's beautiful it's nice and it's um and listen if you guys want this unit you're not even going to be in the hundred thousand dollar price range so don't worry about that you
