partnerships program and their way they ban people and i also hear all the news about how well youtube's doing for our people and how much they're improving their platform for live streaming um i'm just terrified this goes to both platforms if i was to put all my videos on youtube and live stream on youtube and anything happens to that channel a lot of my traction is gone because youtube is very much its own um its own sort of community in a sense and the way i say this is while there is a lot of traffic that goes between youtube and twitter and youtube and discord and everywhere else in reality only a slim percent of your audience come from other external sources most of them log into youtube they open youtube and it's recommended right so if my channel was just gone from youtube one day my videos would stop getting recommended and people would just forget about me because that's the way they watch my videos then it follow me on twitter you know they're not on the discord and i can prove this by we've got 700 people in the discord and 14 000 on youtube so if all my videos are on youtube i stream live on youtube my vods are on youtube and then youtube go oh you're banned for some i don't know i'm not saying i'm going to try and get banned but you never know i could lose everything and i could also lose a big chunk of my following if i go on twitch if i if i stream on twitch i get banned on twitch i can then stream on youtube and be like hello 14 000 subscribers i used to share my twitch with a thousand followers on there we got banned for some reason they won't get in touch with me because their stuff having issues with at the minute although they promised they're gonna get better which is the reason why i agreed to stream on twitch um and then vice versa if i lose youtube i'll have a few thousand followers on twitch it's the very famous saying of not putting all your eggs in one basket and i believe that is very true in a lot of situations in life especially with uh posting your content online so if any of you guys are in a similar boat to me or want to make videos just think about that before you agree to uh streaming on one of the sites you've got diamond for a big or no x-ray machine well you're having a lucky run um a vod channel will increase the amount of view time and would allow people intrigued your regular content to see it live without needing a third party source this is the thing a lot of people myself included don't watch vods on twitch because it's awful it's just not great i don't want to leave youtube you know i want to watch on youtube i want to read the comments on it i want to see the chat um oh my goodness stream indeed sam indeed panicking would it be a good idea to be an english youtuber even though i'm german uh you're gonna so you'll open yourself up to a much wider market because i i believe a lot more of the world speak english than german however there are some situations where german-speaking youtubers get really big because they're so well known in that small community it's like it's kind of a niche although it is obviously millions of people speak it you know so look at the size isn't like one of the third most subscribed german um but it depends if you want to be strictly german you know it depends if you only want to get the audience you only want to do gym and events human sponsors if you're an english-speaking streamer you do open yourself up to a lot more doors is all i would say and i'm saying this and i am streaming for like the sixth time in my life with 900 followers so i don't have all the advice in the world there were less gym and youtubers in english i think so oh 100 yeah yeah um it's just about opening up the opportunities you know and also with youtube america is going to be probably the largest percent of your audience regardless unless you're making german content i am british i upload at british times when british people finish work and are chilling out for the evening and going to bed and yet the bulk of my views still comes from america in the middle of the night so something you got to think about really which i never did until three months in you know uh i would like a discord account already made an account and cut them with the password they're going to use the same gmail account oh no that sucks you might be able to and then remove the other key uh channel points are basically a currency that you're in from watching their channel uh casio smith and you just earn them over time for watching the channel and then i can set things up that you guys can use your channel points for so for example for 10 000 channel points you could unlock an emote or you could make me do something a lot of people that have webcams right now paul is trying to find time zones that work for everybody obviously this is midweek weekends are better but if i'm going to stream more i need to find the time that works and the issue i have is i work full-time i get up every day at like seven half seven and then i try and obviously shower get breakfast all that sort of good stuff i try and record a video before the day starts but most of the time work will get in touch with me um before official you know office hours begin um so i usually start work about eight half eight um and then i work until like obviously you know i worked until food until dinner time where i make or i record videos make dinner eat dinner upload videos and then have time i stream and that is the only time i can stream i can't stream later because oh you know i need to get sleep before i have to wake up at seven um it's yeah that's the problem that's the problem i have right now so weekends work fine but then again a lot of my work is also on the weekends most weeks i work six seven days a week we pay eight thousand here twenty 24 799 i also travel for work a lot which is another issue that i'm yet to really figure out right now i've been traveling for a few days at a time but there are going to be times when i travel away for you know a few weeks uh so i don't know how this is gonna go i don't know um it's crazy you don't sleep i never used to sleep when i was younger when i had um it's funny right when i had no commitment um when i had no commitments when i was younger and i was like you know back in school and whatever else um and university and stuff i guess universe is a pretty big commitment but it's not that stressful i didn't find that stressful this is years ago now and uh i didn't sleep at all whatever i just used to fill up on caffeine and just get everything done on bare minimum sleep and i i'm you know i can i'm lucky enough to function on bear sleep um you know if i'm working away and i get four hours sleep i can get up and i can work fine um but if i am doing that every day you know say if i was to stream until like 2 3 a.m and then get like four hours sleep every single day i would be uh destroyed you know the stress that comes with it would be too much and uh i'm not in an industry you could necessarily be too stressy and so i'm hoping you will grow enough to be able to do youtube full-time i don't plan on it if i do um i really like my job um and i would not want to give it up and i would also not want to really stall my career growth if that makes sense yes i could come back to any time but probably after i put after like rejoining the career at a lower point where i finished that i have to go through all of that again um if i did go back into it you know it depends to be honest it's uh i don't think about it because i'm nowhere near that stage you know and it's it's it's a lot easy for i'm gonna be honest it's really easy for me to say right now i'm never gonna do youtube full-time but i don't know how much money somebody could make when you know how much money who's a big youtuber like that's a reasonable size not like pewdiepie or someone um i don't know who's like a million like how much do you get for you know what i mean i don't know that nobody really knows that there's like there's ways you can apparently find out but um oh no stream frozen are we good all to earlier saying about how twitch and youtube have their own sort of communities and there isn't really a lot of like go-between like yes i can push people over from youtube to twitch but it's very hard to get people to follow all your things you know it's very hard to grow all social medias at once um and it is very much there is a twitch community and there is a youtube community and my friend has a really good twitch community but he just can't get any following on youtube um and it's just i do hate it but at the same time i enjoy making the content so much i just dislike the way the platforms are i did go for a brief phase about 40 stream which is really weird most of my viewers came from reddit i made a few memes that's actually a really good way to go because people on reddit will hate you if you like just share your stream but if you make like a good piece of content for reddit like a meme they're going to love it you know um but also i'm i'm terrified of reddit so i don't touch that i don't really touch anything i don't have i have youtube i have discord and i have twitch we tweeted for the first time in like a week today so we're trying to use twitter more uh we don't have tik-tok we have an instagram name reserved but it's horrible man it's a it's a very horrible game to play but it's i love the grind i love the grind but i also don't like the grind it's weird i think if i had more time i'd i'd like fully try and edit tiktok videos and you know post cool memes and stuff but it's crazy it's all about the algorithm gods at the minute and it's a horrible it's a horrible world to be in ruled by those gods yeah tick tock yeah i know my obviously bit of response to that mick but it does wonders for people you know the amount of views that tick tock brings in is incredible but then you've got the same thing we're trying to get traffic from tick-tock to anything else is almost impossible it's a good thing about talking to different streamers yeah it's true i was saying earlier you're the first creator that i've actually been in contact with you know i'm three months in i'm three months into the youtube thing and i just haven't honestly haven't even thought about reaching out to anybody else and i was like if we could take this seriously i should try and collaborate and do some stuff and then you were like hey wanna wanna do some stuff i was on youtube like three months ago and said hey i love that upbeat animal videos i started work on this game a few years ago would be interested in picking backup development on it if enough people were interested and obviously i was like uh yes please because this looks cool um and now yeah john has started development on it again and uh you can currently get early access for free at that length i the server this week and start making content on it again add some new people to it try and liven up a bit so i'm aware it's been a bit quiet the last few weeks when i've been around and i do apologize for that um and try and make the most out of this season i think when the yeah no martini right now so we're just trying to get this last dame on the board so we can get this uh this build finished um and then yeah no dames and no martinez um and then sorry so the next minecraft update is youtube this summer then i think we'll start a new season or we'll expand the world than our current one to include the new world generation and then maybe after that we'll do a modded thing it depends on the next big update after that is so we'll see uh watching quite landlord mods i haven't um i haven't what's the word i'm looking for i haven't looked into it i don't i don't know somebody mentioned to me the other day saying they're talking about it in the uh oh they split it into two updates didn't they okay um someone mentioned each other today they're talking about modding the landlord in the discord um which i'd 100 be down for it's you know for me it's content right and i've it's not like isaac where i haven't played enough of it to ruin it with mods i've played a lot of this game so i'm now open to mods as long as they're not stupid and they're well done they're well made and it works cleanly i'm up for mods i'm also up for i keep saying this but symbol packs like because they can't add symbols forever oh that probably would have been the role that we needed as
