ah good old-fashioned hate the very mention of the word may have lost his initial impact over the years did hip-hop's unintentional ratification of the hater epidemic but the ACTA hating is still necessary as it is unnecessary and humanity's increasingly critical nature and more importantly our favourite four-wheeled pastime a few decades ago the word hate could have incited war on a global scale if placed in the wrong context but today I can sit here and safely say that Carl Baskin is a man I even flinch while doing so in fact I hate Carl Baskin so much and my vision blurs whenever I think about her hates primary appeal lies in his ease of execution unfortunately it's just much harder to think and express a genuine heartfelt compliment that is to highlight the shortcomings of ignorant jealousy driven form of expression reserved for those of us who are just plain jerks and as skateboarders we've all been exposed to big H at one point or another be ever pushing [ __ ] modding and kick flips or signing a lucrative endorsement contract with an energy drink reserved for frat boys which is why it brings me great pleasure and sadness to bring you the most comprehensive and thorough research most hade lists ever made now this does not mean I hate these skaters myself I just happen to be the one telling you about them and why they're often hazed and the skateboarding elite stable skateboarding's most-hated following right in the footsteps of Jeremy Rodgers and yes that's pretty much exactly why he's hated he started off skateboarding and yeah he was pretty good he was named Rookie of the Year by Transworld in 2005 and he was sponsored by girl skateboards but that was up until he seemed to have a toll person alia switch and decided to retire from skateboarding to become a rapper and get face tattoos and iced out chains a few years after this quarter life crisis jeremy announced to come back and started his own board company called selfish skateboards and slightly unhealthy looking brian winning as his first pro Nyjah Huston Nyjah Huston is possibly one of the most popular skaters of our time aside from Tony Hawk love met many people outside of skateboarding and hated by many skaters and I just started off small by stepping on a board from the first time when he was only four years old and then he proceeded for competitions when he was only twelve today he has put out arguably some of the best skateboarding parts in history and continues to accomplish ins all the time all the success in skateboarding has led to a life of expensive cars parties and LA mansions you could pretty much call them their own nada of skateboarding I mean that's kind of what he is and when it comes down to nine chip people seem to hate it mostly for the fact that he's just young and successful and sometimes acts Moke a cocky jock or a celebrity even a skater and also because a lot of people don't like his style of skateboarding by saying that he has no style or he looks like a robot when he skates but no matter what you think about him you cannot deny that he's one of the most talented skateboarders in history Ryan Sheckler is only a professional skateboarder with a personalized number plate and grave into his back Ryan Sheckler is without a doubt the most commercially hey it's skateboarder of all time and unquestionably the grand master of corporate sponsorship some skaters hate him as a child prodigy more skaters hate him as a developing teenage butt kisser with long hair skinny jeans and big shoes and by god dude I hate him as a rich successful model pulling luxury car driving home owning conglomerate building jealousy sponges ideas today perhaps will obsessed people that most though aside from the pimple cream MTV deodorant sub-woofer energy drink wheelbarrow Tupperware and baby wear endorsements is when Ryan Sheckler claimed in an interview of Jake Phillips they have accents lip down Toro which would be a very impressive trick to do if he actually landed it a few years after the interview the footage came out and everyone it's unimpressive him not being real and it mark Borkowski aka Gator the Gator was a professional skateboarder in the 80s and early 90s but its popularity began to wane as vert skating that was popular in 80s was implemented by Street skating in the 90s envisioned the company das pet majority of his career with filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy so looking to reinvent himself rasca changed his name to gator Marc Anthony explained that röszke was the name of his father whom he'd never really known and then following his downfall in skateboarding he began to believe this is mine a little bit to a point of him snapping and killing one of his ex-wife's friends along with some other really bad things and yeah that did escalate pretty quickly I month passed until he decided turn himself in and plead guilty to all charges leaving him with little sentence of 31 years to life I'm sure you can all understand why he's hated rob dyrdek I wouldn't be surprised if a few of you watching right now didn't even know it rob dyrdek wasn't once a skater today he's seen as more of a celebrity or a TV show host than a skater and that's what I hate forum starts a lot of people dislike him because he's dead pity me of what they consider a sellout from the massive monster tattoo on his back to ridiculousness and the fact they started SLS which is loved by many skaters but also hated by many because I think this is rob dyrdek capitalizing on making a skateboarding more mainstream but regardless of what you think or say about rob dyrdek you cannot deny that he has done a lot to benefit skateboarding and it's given back a lot to skating in the form of building and funding skate parks all over the country Bam Margera I remember Bam Margera primarily because of Jackass but he actually guys starting skateboarding and released a few pretty good video parts before transitioning to Hollywood where he started off with jackass and then later he got his own shows but once jackass and his shows fell apart and one of his friends Ryan Dunn died in a car crash his life took a turn for the worse and he fell into alcoholism and in churn Creek skateboarding and by this point while lots people enjoyed awaited in this show and now jackass who was label as a sellout by a vast majority of the skateboarding community and after a really awkward dr. Phil appearance Bam seems to have thankfully sobered up in the past few years and began skateboarding once again Steve Berra Steve Berra is known today mostly because he is one of the founders of The Berrics but people were hating on him ever since he put out a part of fake skate spots sure a lot of you are wondering what even is a fake skate spot and how can a skate spot be fake at all what you see skateboarding parts are filmed out in the streets of the world which will makes them so great and the skater shutter skills and creativity by using rails walls and ledges they find out in the streets now sometimes a spot is really hard or impossible to do if you don't modify it and I mean you usually knee and modify it a little bit regardless by waxing a rail or a Ledge or you know maybe putting on some bondo to cover a crack or putting a piece of plywood on some grass where the landing is but what Steve Berra did was something totally different he completely manufactured and built his own ledges and used them in his video and tried to pass them off as a real ledge he just found you see some materials are much harder to slide on and grind on than others for this example you can clearly imagine how much harder it would be to do a toe slide on a Ledge made out of brick brush the ledge that's made out of smooth concrete or as a metal edge you're coping on it and this is exactly what Steve Berra did in this clip right here you can see the ledges that he built and then he painted over it you look like brick ledges and making the trick look a lot harder than it actually is on top of that a lot people also hate him for getting in fights of skaters of our social media calling himself the savior of skateboarding and also crying when he found out that Tony Hawk's smoked weed Tony smoked pot one night when we were on at a demo somewhere and then Steve Berra came back to the room and because he found out and he was crying so what is it take away from all of this and what makes someone a person that is disliked by skaters and ensuring what do you need do not to be hit by the hate wave well first off someone that has killed another person is hey pretty badly and you know that's kind of reasonable in general if you kill someone you should be hated but another thing lots of skaters thing they really dislike is a sellout you know people such as Ryan Sheckler Bam Margera rob dyrdek okay so take away from that as as long as you don't quit skateboarding to pursue something different or to make money outside of skateboarding or you don't use skateboarding to your advantage of sponsors you won't be hated by the vast majority and also some skaters see me just really dislike you if you win a lot of competitions and you don't have a style that's up to their standard okay so let me get this right people hate Nyjah for earning his money by winning competitions but people also hate Bam and Rob for making money outside of skateboarding so how do you become a successful skateboarder and not be hated on well I'm sorry to break it to you but that's just nearly impossible no matter what you do people still find a way to hate on you and will find and point out your shortcomings and some people might even say at skateboarding just has a toxic community well friends the gatekeepers and people always looking for an excuse to bash on their skater but in reality this is just a small but loud minority of skaters and I guarantee if 90% of them are face to face with the people they talk to most amount of [ __ ] about the only thing coming out of their mouth would be compliments so whether you're beginner skaters scared of being called a poser or you're about sign your first million dollar brand deal remember that haters only exist behind the screen and nobody you run into in real life will actually hate you that bad or hate you at all unless you kill someone of course but let's just [ __ ] up man anyway I hope you all enjoyed this video and if you're new here which 80% of you are you should click the nice red subscribe button because they upload videos like this every single week anyway that's all I have for today I hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you again next week
