welcome everybody hope you guys are doing well we're joined today with moist critical Charlie penguin zero like what what's your what's your favorite Alias at this point man I don't even know I just go by Charlie mainly just Charlie man well yeah dude it's it's been so cool because I've been a fan of your stuff for years just watching you know since like way back when when you would just do like the Cod commentaries on YouTube damn that's OG and you have such a way with words that no one else does like is that is that something that took time over the years to kind of get used to because you you have fun with very fun words all the time I appreciate that um I don't really know man I'm just kind of like a quirky weirdo I guess I I grew up like pretty isolated and I kind of gravitated towards some Oddball kind of Vibes and I always love the idea of using really dead words like turbo and [ __ ] I just think it makes everything so flavorful to hear things you don't normally hear anymore or something super childish like goober and goofball I think are fun jeez yeah man it's it's very it's very rare cuz a lot of people doing kind of the more news but plus you do like a bunch of other stuff I know you do the my favorite is watching you just review fast food [ __ ] because I don't know how you eat all that [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah that's usually that's quite a load of calories for sure and I usually try and get like a huge lift in after because I feel so guilty for it yeah so it's it's cool because you you have a variety of different stuff and a lot of people that are talking about you know what's happening in the YouTube space they're usually either like very serious or a lot weirdly enough a lot of people that are people that also just don't like those people like whether it's just controversial people that like to just talk [ __ ] anyways but like you're almost like the keano Reeves of like theing you know like YouTube you know what's going on Space well that's super sweet man I really appreciate that it's it's just me like there's my videos are like I edit them I sit here for like 40 minutes and make jokes about dumb [ __ ] like it's as simple as it gets man and I just got lucky I think cu what it boils down to yeah do you do you have it's are you editing is that it or do you have an editor yeah I edit pretty much all of it unless it's a bigger project like our D and D show or if we do like a tier list or something then a couple friends of mine like they do that tier [ __ ] dude that's that's while what like cuz like I'm assuming you were you're a metal cat since you were a kid right like [ __ ] what were some of like your first bands that you were just throwing down with as little Charlie yeah so I found the light the enlightenment through Lincoln Park which I think is the Gateway for a lot of people num had just started charting I heard it on the radio and I was like what is this this sound this ethereal noise this is so odd and then I looked into more Lincoln Park and I found Hybrid Theory and that changed everything Hybrid Theory that that album probably out of anything like I mean so's a pretty big Gateway band obviously Metallica and [ __ ] but like yeah I feel like just Hybrid Theory as an album has gotten more kids from anything else into harder music it's it's such a [ __ ] Banger album every yeah it's it's so easily listenable too like they're all pretty simple songs when you break them down but the way that they're like their energy gets across is just contagious like as a kid you feel like you're like going through something big like I remember I'd be playing a game or something in Halo to and it'd be like a tragic loss or something I'd flick on Lincoln Park and I'm ready to start crying like all the music Just Hits so hard even to like any buddy of any background it's just so Universal I think through Lincoln Park I got real deep into it deep how how far do you have you got it nowadays like have you got into the stupid [ __ ] which is actually just noise like rancore and all that [ __ ] I'm gonna I'm going to send you my playlist this is so I've collected I'm kind of a hoarder when it comes to like old data stuff now so I have my original iPod from when I was a kid I've taken every song I've ever had on my iPod or any device and I compiled it into a YouTube playlist over the last year okay and you're going to hear some really odd [ __ ] in here for sure oh [ __ ] is this a public playlist or is this just like your private playlist no it's a public playlist uh I don't really know how to link it very well so I haven't shared it in much but it's full of like the most degenerate [ __ ] ever for a long time I used to go to a Russian uh pirating music site to find bands nobody's ever heard of except for like the band members and maybe a couple of their friends right I was in the trenches we're in the [ __ ] trench bro somehow like it's it's Russian not what's up but like something else that they can use that they just always get they somehow get leaks yes VK and they always get the leaks I don't know how like and I just see bands pissed off oh it's t telegram too yeah Russ tegram maybe telegram every time like a band's just like they're so stoked we're going to announce this big thing no one knows about it and then some random Russian guy just is like no this comes out in V you're welcome and it's it's done and everyone I I also got really into gint for a long time which I think a lot of people have had a gint Fage phase maybe still in there I used to go to a website called got jint got dude that's OG [ __ ] right there got jint used to be my catalog for a lot of good stuff so I'd go to got gent refresh that like every couple days and just get like a whole new catalog of things to download oh dude you metal YouTube during that that was like almost the birth of metal YouTube was during J cuz that's when like I don't know if you ever followed like jedin and like yeah like stev te and all those homies which started with kind of the jent phase and making fun of gent and the abnormal amount of strings on guitars and [ __ ] and it was just it was a very free but weird era of of YouTube for metal cuz there wasn't re I don't think there was metal YouTube before like those no not personality driven they used to have a bunch of channels that would do gent compilations and things like that but there was never like metal personalities until around that era yeah that's that's trip and then yeah over the and then like kmac and stuff you guys did a track with kmac which was I when I saw that in my feet I was like what cuz I didn't know you were like a metal head until a little later and then I like I remember seeing like you guys drop that and it said featuring kic I was like what the what is that how did that come about that's such an interesting crossover so uh the other half of the gentle men Troy actually got in contact with kmac I've been a big fan of him for a long time but I never really know how to contact people Troy just like cold called him and kmac was super on board and we had a dumb idea for like a kind of like pseudo industrial metal track and kmac crushed it yeah dude he it's he has this fun personality where he kind of just came out of nowhere to start off with like just on the internet with his like weird ass [ __ ] if Beatles was death metal thing and he just was always kind of ahead in terms of almost taking the meta that was in like the metal like YouTube in general and then compiling it and bring it into the metal scene cuz the I love the metal scene I've been a coret you know since I was a young young young we lad but it's so slow man like everything in metal takes forever this the scene even just music itself like it steals from pop music like 5 years after it's been cool to do [ __ ] in pop music and like even even YouTube has been like this weird pseudo thing where people take like oh this was like a trend 5 years ago in modern YouTube world let's now metal a fight and see what the happens to metal heads it's all new but like it's it's been happening for [ __ ] ever it's just weird yeah but I think it's reaching that point where Metal's become so I don't know the right word but it like it's able to be integrated into a lot more now so like Lil Uzi also just had a metal it wasn't very good unfortunately but like he tried dude CS Banger bro he forgets to sing half of the song and he does a random goat streak what do you mean b well I didn't mean to say it's bad per se it's different but then you also had like baby metal recently collabing you had Bring Me The Horizon with um Bring Me The Horizon was also with Uzi BT wasn't he yeah yeah Uzi had a track with baby metal bring me and then I don't know if you know the band pale dusk they're yeah yeah yeah the guitarist of that wrote um I think the the instrumental for the baby metal song and I was like what it's like so weird seeing someone more in like the smaller like Japanese metal core scene be the writer for some thing that shows up on little Uzi vert and also on like bring me tracks I'm like this is sick like I want it was it was cool also the uh Spirit Box collab with Megan the stallion was kind of fire dude that was some solid bad [ __ ] core right there it's it's so funny cuz the metal scene is not used to seeing like a lot of the rap and pop stuff and like the music videos where like everyone is just naked like that's that's unless you watch like natilla from back in the day or like party metal [ __ ] right but that's such a niche in the metal scene so I'm pretty sure when stuff like that happens especially like that song and people are like yeah Spirit Box my favorite wholesome band that talks about depression and stuff and they just see Megan the stallion with zero clothes on basically they're just like this is different for me this is Vibe and the other way too the door Swang both ways because the people that are only into rock were like or into rap were like what the [ __ ] is happening here like they they went hard on it it's not like they like you know beat around the bush like it was a pretty hard track it it was like it's always fun because I feel like screaming is now a bit more normalized but always hearing people that have like never heard it why are they so angry bro why are they so mad which is so cute it's so cute cute dude how is that like I guess in your space especially being like more of a metal you know metal dude listening to all this stuff like do you have a bunch of Normie homies that like don't listen as much to metal when you've maybe thrown it on in the car and stuff and they're like oh that's that's different Charles I didn't expect that yeah well they usually don't address me as Charles but that would be pretty fire if they did just like really formal but uh most of my friends aren't into it per se but they have like a an appreciation of it so even though it's not their first choice like they are always more than willing to listen like nice some of my friends will go to concerts occasionally for like old emo bands like we even went to an Atilla concert like a month ago just to go it was pretty good they had like gan until I wake open for them it was it was pretty fun that was hard dude that's the thing about Atilla like they're they're a band in the metal scene that definitely have taken gone a lot of [ __ ] because they have like the hey you know girls money and all that [ __ ] lifestyle which is very anti-metal but like they throw down and they have fun and they don't give a [ __ ] dude at all they just do [ __ ] thing which is so refreshing to see but that's it's it's always cool again to see that kind of crossover cuz people don't don't expect it and I I mean I got to talk about my my homie when I saw my man's in your video uh enemy here Andy all right perfect like he's the Lincoln Park guy so [ __ ] perfect choice how did that come good he's so I've been a huge fan of Andy for a while I followed like a ton of his projects I think about two years ago I had followed him on Twitter because I didn't know he had a Twitter and he followed me back and then he like hung out in streams occasionally so I eventually messaged him because I just wanted like vocal lessons are to be pointed in the right direction so I could sound even like a tenth as good as he did and then we started talking from there a little bit and then Troy and I had already like kicked around an idea for a Lincoln Park style track and I was like I know Andy would crush this I've seen his covers for like crawling and giving up I was like I know Andy would [ __ ] nail this so I asked if he'd be open to it and then lo and behold he did he nailed it and it was I think probably our best track dude it's it's so sick cuz I remember listening to it and you know when you see a feature you expect maybe like oh they'll show up for like a bridge and that's kind kind of it like he was he was very integrated in the song He's the bulk of the the track like I'm only in like the first two verses the rest is Andy I wanted to Showcase like Andy like he's so good more people need to see him yeah it's I dude I've been working with Andy oh my God since like since he did I don't know if you remember this he did like the Samaran audition like so long ago for like this band essentially he like did this very interesting vocal take on a song and he didn't end up winning even though he had like a million views on the audition [ __ ] YouTube I don't remember that I don't remember that at all how long ago was that Holy that was like I want to say 2017 2018 something like that it was it was a minute ago like when he kind of started when he was doing covers and stuff okay and um yeah I hit him up and I was like Yo dude you're sick like let's do like Lincoln Park because they just released heavy at that time like let's just make a stupid heavy version for no reason because it's called heavy um and then we did more and more and I remember hearing his like just vocal tracks and I was like that this doesn't these voices and noises don't sound like it comes out of how that boy looks in any I know right in any [ __ ] way dude yeah it's crazy it's very shocking and hearing him um he was here once um in like oh my God 2019 or something just for something else I was like yo let's film a video for our our band and hearing him shout like like live like beside me cuz I never you know met the dude before and hearing him while we were just filming the video like he would be quiet you know mimic as you go and sometimes you would just scream and it's like the power coming from this dude who's not like this big tank I don't get it I still don't get it I I can't I can't comprehend and I can't even get close to replicating what he's able to do it's [ __ ] up man but yeah it was it was so cool seeing the homie do I'm glad you guys did like the whole thing too with the video and like I love that you like you committed to linkoln park like you went the vibe like you didn't half ass the vibe it was like oh no I I [ __ ] love the Lincoln Park vibe I'm just happy we're able to do it at least somewhat of a Justice I wrote a whole another Lincoln Park Style song too so maybe at some point dust that puppy off I was I'm I'm like a big Lincoln Park Enthusiast so I wrote a couple are like I like it's so cool because nowadays like Tik Tok and all the [ __ ] like these younger kids are growing up on all the [ __ ] that you know we listened to in the 2000s like new metal so again like de tones is horny core now which is great deathones mainstream big time yeah big time mainstream and if you search on Tik Tok you're going to get a lot of thirst traps that's what it is now that's all you get so it's it's cool seeing all that music and like Underoath like these like scene core fing bands from the 2000s Alexis on fire are like coming back and bigger than ever cuz the younger generation is like relating to them because they're edgy you know like they're old school edgy yeah and the the sound is like perfect for the modern generation Alexis on fire is is back now aren't they now that you mention it I forgot about are dude yeah it's [ __ ] they're Canadian and they never get like cred in America usually but when they play in Canada they play like the stadium like they're they're huge here I loved Alexis on fire I made amvs to their music I had a whole bleach AMV set to this could be anywhere in the world that was like my favorite song for a minute bro that's [ __ ] yeah self-titled watch out and crisis as just albums I like done I put that [ __ ] on repeat all day I wasn't as much into them when they did more more of like the like Dad rock kind of vibe they're good at it but I'm like I just want to hear the boy scream with the bunch of Ambience and Dallas Green's like beautiful [ __ ] voice just like sooth me to sleep bro that's it's so good it's so good man but yeah it's it's cool seeing the Resurgence of that and metal SL like the alternative Scene It feels like it's more infused into like the culture than it's ever been which is so fire I love that more people are receptive to it now like I do think I I agree that this is the most integrated it's ever been into like the mainstream Consciousness I think during probably like 06 to 09 maybe we had like the whole emo phase which was pretty M brok inside on MySpace with Freaks and uh get crunk really bringing us into the Golden Age getun [ __ ] crunk that was a mistake though crunk was a mistake yeah that they still make music did you know broken side still does it they're still at it I actually didn't know broken side was stilling how yeah I don't know it's it's bad but I don't know why but they're still at it I mean yeah that's dude the 20 years I'm very scared for 2030 because if we do the to 20 or cycle [ __ ] then we're bringing back crabcore for 2030 and like core fanss you stoked for you ready for shitty Electronics with like really bad screaming and terrible choruses that try to be pop absolutely I love that [ __ ] I sent you my YouTube playlist you're going to find some old school like crabcore [ __ ] in there it's going to be you're going to find some wacky [ __ ] [ __ ] hell right it's Jesus Christ yeah the metal scene's always like a fun a fun [ __ ] place but like yeah like what is I guess kind of what are you are you throwing down some bands nowadays like other than like of course the Nostalgia stuff like what are you kind of into when it comes to is there more modern [ __ ] you've been listening to or like what's your kind of vibe yeah as basic [ __ ] as it is I really do listen to like a wide spectrum of music so not just metal but metal is my main one my favorite sub genre of metal that I have always really dug and will always probably be my favorite is like melodic death metal I there's just so many good tracks and so many good bands in that space man it is so versatile with so much talent so like my favorite band overall I I've always try and figure out what my favorite is because that's always a question people want answers to so my favorite band I think I have to give the death tones I found them [ __ ] when I was like 10 from a Halo 2 super bounce Montage set to change and I've loved them ever since so I'm going on like [ __ ] 19 years worth of liking death tones and they still are just as good now as they were back when I found them MH but my second favorite band is an pretty unfortunately underrated band called cyb they were like a death Wave band cyb dude [ __ ] yeah you like cyb yeah they were so ahead of their time c yeah with like because they have that fun like industrial like vibe that now is like modern metal especially is very industrial it's it's electronic production based instead of just you know flashy and crazy solos which has been an interesting turn as well but also making it easier I think for like yeah the mainstream to kind of accept it more because I I get that just pure death metal blast beats non-stop is a little tougher for kids to be like oh what's this mommy you know like yeah it's a little rough and then my probably my third favorite band is a pretty small one that's also still kind of an industrial sound it's called rise to fall so even though my like top three band aren't mellow death I still think that that sub genre of metal is probably the most accessible and most versatile you'll find I feel like pretty much anyone will find a Mello death band that they'll like yes like I just think it's so good and it's so creative with in that whole Space dude I'm I'm well that's the thing I grew up so much with um the 2000's melodic metal cor [ __ ] which was just the copypaste of the melodic death metal stuff that happened before it but with like more breakdowns and more dude Bros going hell yeah brother that's basically yeah you know the only difference oh I love that age though you remember when all the lyrics to those tracks were [ __ ] [ __ ] that kind of stuff [ __ ] [ __ ] the system it's corrupt bro hell yeah that was the good ERA and I mean then there was just Timeless bangers with stuff with a bit more like Hill switch I think will always how do you listen to my curse and not just like instantly be transported to the 2000s and like [ __ ] such an ionic intro riff D dude that's so [ __ ] sick well dude it's it's so fun because I I love that like I can have you on the show to chat about [ __ ] like this because I'm sure you know and I've seen a lot of stuff you guys talk about too like it's obviously more like people have you on and talk about YouTube [ __ ] mainly so it's cool that have like this side because not many people like I said even myself I didn't even [ __ ] know you were like into like kind of metal and [ __ ] like that until like [ __ ] I don't know a couple years back but talking more of the YouTube stuff what's like how is the process for you as a YouTuber to deal with all the [ __ ] in the YouTube scene like I guess that's the best way I can word it like [ __ ] happens you know you have like almost two videos a day sometimes which is [ __ ] crazy like how are you pumping this [ __ ] up keeping up with the toxic [ __ ] gossip trains that are going on here like what's your what's your process man uh I so I've said this a lot but I really feel like there's a lot of hours in the day that people don't realize I don't do anything special like my videos are pretty low effort stuff like it's just it's just me making jokes I'm sitting here I quickly edit it like it's nothing like extreme your content is a lot more refined like yours goes through a lot more than mine does so it's a little more diff Zoomin bro that's the only difference no that's not true there's so much more like Talent there it's it's totally different for me it's a lot simpler because it's so easy like I got very lucky to be where I am and I just get to have fun so the way I'm able to do it is just because I really [ __ ] love it so like I'm even when I'm not making something I'm trying to stay as up to date on the goofiest [ __ ] I can find what's your source of goofy is it like where do you hear about it first it's Twitter right I've got it I've got the highest quality for you page of just the most degenerate nonsense no one should ever care about that I can endlessly make fun of Jesus Christ like that's yeah Twitter is is just its own fun sess that's also where I just learned about just oh great what's what YouTuber name trending okay how did they that's all I have yeah what did they do you know did they piss off all their fans did they say the oopsy words you know like did they scam people which one is it today fam where is the Reddit post come on right I know it's it's like clockwork I'm sure it'll only continue to get more and more rambunctious as the the years keep coming I think we're we're right now in like the upward trajectory I don't think we've hit the peak of like internet degeneracy yet has it been like I mean you've been doing this for so long especially kind of in that I guess commentary space is the best way I'll describe it but like has it has it gotten better more toxic worse more shitty people like oh so it's so like when I started doing this style of content it was pretty tame in regards to like how much trash there was to joke about like it wasn't a ton it'd be here and there now it's every day I think people are more on edge than ever and I think people are just one bad day away from like a complete [ __ ] crazy meltdown that just boils over into absolute lunacy so I I really think everything has just ramped up and will continue to ramp up for a little while that's that's that's sad because man like it's it's so weird seeing how many especially in just the content creator space like people get so big that are not good people in any way and are well not just not good they're just straight up annoying like you watch them and you genuinely are like how what what happened here that led to this this this this incred incredible like just large people giving any [ __ ] about what's going on here cuz it's just weird to watch even sometimes yeah there's always that head scratcher quality and I think the answer is usually kids I think there's an actual phenomenon where someone is is so unlikable everyone should hate this person but then they find an audience because it's the audience of people who are also hated and they're like I resonate with this guy getting [ __ ] on so I'm going to be a Super Fan because he is a douchebag I think that's how they try and or I think that's how some of those communities form out of like actual spite for society Jesus Christ is there is out of the platforms like if you had to rate toxicity level out of 10 like when it comes to creators like if we have to go Tik Tok YouTube twitch um I mean reddits its own it's not really like I guess Reddit creators um like what is what what is the worst when it comes to like this is where the peak of [ __ ] happens when it probably comes out of all of those for you man um it's at the moment it's got to be Twitter like it really like I can't think of anything else but the reason I even hesitated normally I'd immediately flip Twitter the reason I hesitated is cuz right now kick produces almost nothing but like criminal degeneracy it's its number one export like there's almost nothing normal on kick at the moment like I don't know when it got that bad but almost everything broadcast on there is like actual Insanity actual crimes bro yeah like Twitter is obviously significantly worse on a bigger scale but there is still some good to it occasionally kick is actually nothing but bad at the moment it's so [ __ ] weird but it's got to be Twitter Twitter's got to be the worst platform right now for degeneracy have you have you ever been like so shocked by someone doing something so stupid that even you yourself are like I don't even want to talk about this or like go over it oh there's so many of those but I'll give you one that's not like the basic answer like there's easy ones like EDP and all of that there there's a guy on Kick speaking of he has done so much [ __ ] broadcast on stream and he is still not in jail and also still actively streaming on kick his name is suspendus suspend and this guy is as embarrassing and as degenerate as they come like there was a stream he did where he bought a hooker took her or I think he went to her place and then had sex with her while her kid was also in the room and he had the stream on the whole time he just turned the camera to the side but you could still hear it like what what he does yeah what he does is mind-blowingly evil degeneracy [ __ ] and he is still actively a big streamer on Kick I think I think it's been a little while since that story I think the kid was also was in the same room but I can't remember if it was the same room or the room over but regardless it was true degeneracy [ __ ] yeah that's it's it's just disturbing like when you it is it is very disturbing yeah and that's that's only the tip of the iceberg that guy has his own extended lore of degeneracy like that's a whole like Odyssey level novel to explain everything oh my [ __ ] god dude it's like that's the thing kick I'm I was happy when they were announcing it even though I was kind of like okay this going to be some fun casino [ __ ] I guess but like because I was like okay good twitch can do some more [ __ ] and again like I don't I'm not a like big funny number on here but like twitch even working with just like the music department mainly like has been cool and I get they all have their limitations and all the politics with twitch I'm like okay good there's another platform that like isn't just going to you know close after a month like [ __ ] mixer right like it's going to be maybe something that just at least like pushes twitch's ass and then I'm just I see all the [ __ ] headlines or just looking at Twitter and I'm just like guys come on like twitch just just laugh they don't give a they're just like have fun guys go over there have fun I really it's such a shame too because I do like you I felt the same way like having competition is always going to be good for twitch for YouTube anything like that and kick was positioned to be that player but they just for some reason put all their eggs in this basket of people like the guy I just mentioned or like Johnny Somali who's still in jail in Japan because he couldn't stop being racist and harassing the locals right like for some reason they made that their whole brand identity and now they're just kind of a joke in terms of like perception like when you hear a kick streamer you get a really negative image in your head now and it's such a shame that they let themselves become that yeah cuz split's nice and I'm like damn [ __ ] like that's that's fun and like even like it's a super favorable split to creators and everything like and it seems like they were receptive to making you know some type of changes to their platform in timely fashion and then they just all of a sudden just decided nope we want more Johnny Somali we want all this degeneracy and that's what we'll we'll hang our hat on yeah even the I mean I don't know much personally about the CEO guy but like he seems like haha he uses the kick Twitter and makes like you know more like you know when you hear twitch talk on Twitter it's like a bot talking instead of a human and it's like like like you know your platform guys like really like this is not what's going to be receptive to people and it's it is like the CEO of kick does seem like a guy who wants a good streaming platform but then for some reason fell into wanting it to be that kind of streaming platform with that kind of content like the uncle that's taking care of the kids that you know are the troublemakers but the uncle just has to be like these aren't my kids so like you know we got to just put a smile because I don't want the parents to get mad at me you know like and it's such a shame the new CEO of twitch though I don't know if you've been keeping up Dan Clancy he's a good guy like he's doing some good stuff at least so they they've been getting it together to a to a certain extent I love seeing his like tweets of like his his grind to partner has been like really fun it's like very wholesome because he's the CEO it's like that's sweet like that's nice and it is more exciting cuz I mean I've I haven't been streaming on Twitch as long as like you or most people people I I came on here when it was the big metal surge of streamers like with Matt hey in like yeah 20 2020 2019 or something um so you know it's and that's when it was much more robotic and twitch couldn't give us I think a single about what was happening and they were just like you guys ain't going anywhere you like deal yeah that was under imit Shear yeah so I like that it's getting better and things are like it seems like they care and they're like oh we need to care about these creat and these crazy communities cuz twitch I mean have you streamed on YouTube and twitch both before yeah I've been simal streaming recently so I started doing that like two months ago it's been really nice actually is it is it annoying to like because it does feel like different community on Twitch right like when you yeah it's definitely you can tell who's a twitch viewer and who's a YouTube stream viewer almost immediately but that's actually kind of cute to see The Clash like I don't know it's kind of nice is it ever like annoying because I mean I I remember you have to have to have like like the chats that then combine like is ever weird when I mean you just do your thing but like obviously sometimes it might be like a different vibe if you're like at least for me I know it's was like I'm on Twitch it's a different vibe than when I was doing YouTube like it's it's you know different people different type of culture around like is it ever like weird when that overlaps and you kind of have to like babysit two different I guess kids in that way not really I haven't had that experience yet but mainly it might be because haven't been streaming as much recently so when I am streaming it's usually with a purpose like the last stream I did was fortnite customs with my friend with my friends then the game awards then the Eminem fortnite event so usually it's like events so people are there because it's an event not necessarily because it's like the normal hangout from when I was streaming daily so maybe that's why I haven't seen it as much I got you I mean just totally out of curiosity random question like for when it comes to streaming like do you have any any favorite go-tos cuz obviously everyone does their different [ __ ] they everyone knows sometimes what might translate to the best YouTube content what might just you know be the translate to the best viewership engagement like what's your favorite [ __ ] to do on stream like do you have a go-to yeah my go-to is actually just hang out and talk to the chat nice like you chat's been like super good for the entire time I've been streaming about keeping me updated on things I might have missed otherwise like really Niche things like I love Billy Mitchell I've kept up with all of his frivolous lawsuits for a while now but I didn't know he had just made a cameo where he was making a [ __ ] of himself until chat told me so I really like just shooting the [ __ ] with chat and them telling me about the wacky things going on that they think I'd like that's always my favorite I think yeah my my CH my chat just says you'll play my song and they just yo Nick have you check this [ __ ] out um but it's it's interest yeah the modern day cuz like being it's a weird job content creator like is the weirdest thing and it's definitely blessed in any niche but it's so weird cuz I still remember when I was growing up Mommy Daddy I want to be a fing astronaut and a lawyer and [ __ ] and now kids are like 10 years old doing like thirst traps in front of trains hoping they don't die like on Tik Tok you know what I mean like it's weird bro it's crazy how quickly it changed too over the course of like man only what like maybe [ __ ] 10 years maybe last even like that's a that's a huge cultural shift it's like the number one thing kids want to grow up to be now is like internet creat there's going to be no doctors bro like we're no yeah there's going to be no like important jobs left no no way dude it's not going to happen just like hey like I broke my leg that sucks go see your local Tik tocker he'll make a meme on you bro like what the going to happen yeah there's just G to be nothing left you're just G have to keep going to a bunch of people like us to tell you nothing about how to fix it nothing but buy a crypto coin guys okay yeah we do have some new uh nfts on the on the market it's it's that [ __ ] there still people doing the nft oh yeah people still get scammed by that all the time people just started going blind at the last board Meetup so yeah it's it's so weird because especially like the content creator scene mixed with the metal Universe cuz the metal universe is still very like you know they do their thing they're much more open than they used to be before but like I said like even rap type music videos in Metal's not a thing and like and fs and medals like that's like like I when I remember when Aussie or like a few other bands were like hey we got like these nft things or like Avenge Sevenfold everyone's like what the like this is like so weird but they're like well the mainstream's doing it so this is normal but then to the metal scene everyone's like what are you doing yeah and it should it should have never been normal in the first place to the metal scenes credit they yeah Jesus Christ it's such a weird overlap but uh Charlie I know you got El to but I want to ask you one more thing about the gentleman actually because I actually don't know what is the lore with you and Troy just hit me with it give me the download so that playlist I tossed you I I had a prototype before then and Troy was he had a musical project called Soul state which I had been a fan of okay and when you used to search for my old playlist Soul state was the first one that came up and he sent me an email he's like this is really cool like this is great that people are seeing this music thanks for that and at the time I had uh just posted on Twitter a really shitty song sorry that I had cooked up called 2019 guy I posted like a verse from it never intending to do anything with it it's just I had this awful Melody and this terrible terrible idea for a song right and I told Troy when he messaged me I was like yeah no I'm a huge fan of your music if you ever want to work together I've got this song if you wanted to do that and he's like sure send it so then I sent him that and then he sent back what he thought would be a really cool music to support it and then we ended up making 2019 guy and then from there we made Sky nut and then the rest was history just a bunch of really weird ideas for songs it's that's it's so fun though especially when you guys are just having like having fun cuz like a lot of metal too specifically and like just alternative music B you know they're they're like these hardcore bands and they have the super like indepth trying to be super serious talking about depression all day nonstop and it's it's cool but like there's not a lot of fun happening and then when you find like fun bands people like just doing their thing because they just love music and aren't as like you know they can just talk about whatever they want instead it's so refreshing man it's it's so [ __ ] refreshing it's like bands like Electric Cowboy too have been like my [ __ ] favorite because they don't give a [ __ ] they're just going around and like let's party and that's kind of what I liked about I've never been a huge Atilla fan that's what I liked about going to that concert their energy was so fun and their lyrics are as generic as it gets it's like [ __ ] [ __ ] in party and like the crowd's like wow like it's like they're not being serious but it's really fun yeah man just a fun vibe and and again I got to commend you guys for doing that cuz you been listening to the tracks off the new EP which I F I threw you guys a nomination for the award show I saw that I really appreciate that hopefully we uh squeak out the W there that'd be really cool dude yeah we'll see man but it's it's cool to see you guys doing your it's cool it's just especially two of you having fun is there and last question I guess is there any metal musician alternative musician whatever that you would just absolutely die to have on like uh a gentan track I want to collab with as many people as possible not even just like metal like I really want to do a track with zillakami at some point but for the metal scene My Pie in the Sky collab would be anything with Chino like having him on a track would go incredible I'd love to do a track with you as well if you're ever open to it I've got so many [ __ ] ideas for songs that I've written out it's it's a lot slide in the DMS bro I'll I'll just pitch it down a whole octave whatever the tuning of the guitar is whatever you need and we could just make an audible nonsense that's it let's run it man that sounds so fun to me that's all I do is just dumb random fun heavy [ __ ] dude yeah I love that and yeah I if you're doing the if you guys get Chino what's the M what we do with the music video is that is that going to be some some like filthy like [ __ ] we go on with in that I'm thinking we go like no CL have did you see their um The Butcher music video from De tones from way back I'm thinking we go in that style like super grimy really inyour face aggressive kind of stuff I think would be so fire that would be [ __ ] I feel like you f that you guys can make that that's the cool thing too like the the metal scene the metal music industry never gave a single with the content creator space until like 2020 and they were like oh no band can tour I guess we have to care about this internet [ __ ] now and it's it's gotten a lot better so like it's it's cool to see that integration so bro you need Chino you [ __ ] you slide in that manager [ __ ] em DMS and he'll be like bro I will moan all over whatever you need brother oh that'd be that'd be music that'd be like sweet sweet music I have no doubt we'd produce something truly foul really really icky you need to go on Fiverr and just find every single person that would do a dance to it and just hire all of them oh yeah yeah yeah have like a whole troop for it a a a brigade of Tik Tok thirst traps just all going for the track one of them's got to make it that's you just need one bro one of them will pop I have no doubt one of them will pop everyone Charlie Moy critical Peng win zero with the gentlemen again their new ep's out right now check out the homie dude thank you so much for coming to shoot the [ __ ] talk metal YouTube man I I appreciate appreciate that [ __ ] Hom no thank you man this was a lot of fun this is something that I don't get to talk about a lot so it was nice to be able to open up about Metal I'm serious check out that playlist Maybe bring it up on stream you're going to see some of the weirdest bands in there that I know I know for a fact no one here has ever heard of because they have like five views on YouTube and they only ever existed on YouTube that's that's like underground underground yeah know I went I told you that Russian website had the most unheard of [ __ ] ever and it was so good [ __ ] yeah D I'm going to literally pull we're going to do playlist review right after this I'll probably enjoy it cuz it's not Spotify shitty ass playlist yeah run it man let me know what you think all dud Char thank you so much bro have a beautiful [ __ ] day congrats on the EP and yeah dude anytime you want to do dumb [ __ ] you hit me up I let's go all right thank you I really appreciate it have a great stream good one dude see you
