hello everybody darren here and welcome back to episode nine of my satisfactory let's play for update six and beyond now in the last episode we ventured south to new untapped coal and iron deposits and set to work building our first foundry allowing us to create steel for the first time and then unlock advanced steel production today we're going to be continuing along those same lines pushing now to logistics 3 so we can start designing a new factory that can house many more foundries within it and make everything we need in order to complete the next space elevator shipment so i just want to say really quickly at the beginning of this episode thank you so much for the kind words and feedback on the previous one of course if you're not following along or if you just jumped into this one i have covet i still have it it's almost gone so thank you so much for bearing with me as i'm coughing and sniffing just a little bit i try to cut it out as much as possible now we left off right in this section this sort of makeshift foundry section we have our three foundries up and running four constructors all creating steel pipes and that's just going into that box there we then have two iron deposits right in front of us untapped we have a limestone deposit right next to us and just behind that tree we have a copper deposit so what we're going to want to get to make is automated wiring which is going to require us making wire which needs copper and so on and so forth so i've got the plans drawn up for creating a whole sort of copper factory here adjacent to the iron forge that we're going to have here and then of course we're pulling in the coal from just across the ridge over there all right so as per usual i've got a to-do list on the right side of the screen the first thing we want to do is switch to beams get our foundry floor and cable and wire flooring up and running and then get our first set of encased beams the reason that we want to do that is the industrial encased beams that is is because we want to upgrade these to minor mark ii and then get our next level of belt before we design any factory out it's kind of imperative that we get to logistics 3 because we're going to be basically doubling the rate at which everything is moving along these belts so it's going to require a full redesign of the factory so we might as well just wait until we get to that and then design it but i'm hoping we get to do much of that today i've already mapped out a lot of what i want to do for this actual factory which is at least first getting all the foundations down clearing the vegetation things like that all right so the first thing we want to do is switch to beams right we're just going to take 200 of these and keep them in our inventory so i'll run back and finish the milestone that's up in the top right corner logistics mark three so the first thing we can do is just cut this and cut this these two these foundries are just creating steel ingots that are then going into our constructors and then we're making pipes we're going to switch them now from pipes to making steel beams now the beams take twice as many ingots that's why i've just cut literally two constructors out of this chain and this should work fine this is obviously all temporary measures while we wait to get 200 steel beams that will unlock um logistics mark two first excuse me sorry logistics mark three for us and then once that's in place we're good to go on laying out the new factory so we'll just let that pile up into the same belt um not belt sorry storage container and we should be good to go in the meantime let's just toggle that off the list and say we've done that let's get laying out the foundations for this factory so we're just going to copy this pop it somewhere over here already sort of mapped it out like i've done in previous episodes so the innards of the factory might change i know roughly what i want the overall size to be and we've got plenty of concrete and stuff in my inventory i've got a couple boxes over there with loads of stuff i brought over from our factory which is just in the distance there next to the space elevator next to the copper factory as well way over that way that's where our tractor actually is as well so first thing actually first thing is cutting down all the vegetation around this so we'll just try to get that done as quick as possible just need to cut down some of the bigger trees that are in the way the rest should kind of fall away with it bonus brownie points for anyone in the comment section or just in the video in general that knows where this soundtrack is from because it is an awesome soundtrack really lonely ominous soundtrack where you kind of feel a little bit it's just mysterious mysterious ominous and lonely is how i describe it i love it and if you know this game well you'll probably know the game it came from it's a lot darker as well that's the other word i was kind of looking for all right let's just grab this one over here then just make our way over this way we're going to cut down this massive tree here also stay awake oh my god you son of a [ __ ] i've actually got no rebar um ammo actually bolts all right feels bad man okay that should be pretty much all the landscaping we need to do i think basically all of it just clear this last little bit there all right so we want to make room for this area here first although to go through our actual to-do list the foundry floor is first and the foundry is on this side whereas the copper side is there obviously where we make all this wire we're going to be making i think around 100 cable is what i've worked out so it needs a lot all right we'll climb back up and we'll just start laying out all the foundations the reason i'm doing this now is because in the meantime we're just building up those steel beams in the background once we have 200 we can activate logistics 3 but we want to save up even more than that because that's what we're going to be using in order to make the faster belts so we're going to need a lot of it a lot of steel beams probably like i don't know a thousand or something like that so we've only got two we've got two constructors doing it at the moment i didn't actually look at what rate they do it at but we should uh be able to have a lot for this episode i think to get a lot of the belts and if we don't get all the belts that's not the biggest deal we can always uh just add temporary belts and upgrade them later so i think that's basically as far as i want to go so i've written i've got like a little bit of a map in front of me well it's actually just a notepad where i've written down the dimensions that i'm looking for so for the forge area i've written down eight by six and that six is lengthways like this so one two three four five six that's pretty much and then eight is just to go all the way across to here so that's good yeah so let's just cut that all right nice so that's that first little section done the next section is then going to be i think it's something like a 10 by 16. all right cool so 10 by 16. so i'm pretty sure this goes all the way to 16 there you have to worry about that then this just needs to come out to 10. so something is in the way a little creature i think oh it's pretty straightforward it makes sense going all that way that's it so that is the foundry floor done oh my god a hog is right below me excuse me sorry all right good so yeah i'm not going to be adding these to iron deposits for now excuse me and that's just because um well you could use them for different things i actually might make modular frames with them eventually if i can because that's going to be something we'll need for the automated wiring and and the versatile frames really for the final tier this uh space elevator so there's still almost everything will be created in this factory i'm just debating whether or not i need to bring the so basically we make modular frames already right we make them back at our home base we only make like i think it's something like 2.5 per minute very low amount something like that that's what we're storing up um to make automated wiring for the next tier of the space elevator i think we need 500 of them we're going to need a lot a lot more modular frames and then it needs to be combined with some of the steel stuff that we're making here so it's like okay well we could just transport the modular frames over here they're a bit more complicated so it makes sense to transport it um but at the same time we've got two free iron deposits but at the same same time this could just be a mega forge eventually you know i'm planning for six uh foundries we could have like six more potentially because there's another coal deposit over there so that's one coal deposit over there two iron deposits here so those three kind of combined is giving a sig is will give us six foundries initially so we could get another six right here and then just like i said import stuff like the modular frames and i think that would be more fun maybe a bit more complicated i don't know you could also have something like a garage you know where the truck comes in gets its stuff and then pulls out just delivers that uh modular frame so maybe takes away something in the end brings it to the space elevator let's see how many we've got now 159 we're well on our way to that 200. okay so the next area is going to be the copper and wire flooring so we'll just have to chip away at this big block of copper here and then basically lay this entire foundation out the foundations i've written down for this one is uh ten by nine so previously we had an eight by six and a ten by sixteen and this will sort of adjoin sort of all right so just lock it to the world grid will go like that so the other weird and different thing with this place is it needs to be built pretty high from what i've mapped out just because of all these rocks that are kind of jutting out that i can't really get rid of so this is going to go quite high and then we'll have a i think it's like a five meter drop over to the other area once we get there so yeah it needs to go nine so it's that's 10 across right there so it's good and this basically needs to come out almost all the way to here to about there all right nice it can be kind of hard to see while we're still in build mode i'll just build that across i think um we should put down a lookout tower doing it below what we're actually building is a little bit awkward oh my god the music's so good come on let me copy you there we go i should just say nothing let the music do the talking it's so good all right nice so this will have to come out to about there now let me see where this miner is going to fit down that'll give me it'll orientate me a bit better yeah okay that's our little mining hole yeah i'll get rid of this bit okay cool let's just fill this all in looks good i love when you see all them just going together like that there's the clips at the end but i don't know what it would be clipping with alrighty we can put some pillars and things below it to make it look like it's standing up correctly okay so that's the cable and wire flooring done that's where the found like the foundations for that area are done next is to get ourselves some encased beams on the go in the background while we work out the layout of the foundry so just do that somewhere over here there's a limestone deposit here but i'm not going to activate that just yet we'll just pop down to just uh constructor it's gonna say destructor and just throw things into it manually uh sorry i'm just being an absolute tool we need an assembler because you wanna make encased industrial beams this is going to be needed in order to make the minor mark ii which is going to double our output of our mines so we need steel beams and we need concrete so let's just shove it in and then we'll grab some steel beams from over here this is already over 200 here i need 200 in reserve so what i'll just do really quickly is we'll just cut this here drag that over let's rotate this around us shall we and there we go so i'll feed the concrete manually just to be lazy steel beams will come in then and we'll just power this on and that's just going to make us encase the industrial beams passively for the miners and for anything else we might need in future and we're still sending some in here yeah is that all right that should be enough to just keep it going so i'll just dump all these in there for now all right 64 and 478 that should keep it going for quite a while 24 per minute is what it consumes it's gonna make six per minute on this so it'll 24 per minute it's making 15 per minute yeah so it's gonna run out eventually but that's okay all right good so that's just working in the background getting our encased beams up and running next thing build six foundries so the plan i have for this foundry forge factory is i kind of want to lay them all out along here like six of them along here now the plan basically is to have this running along here i'm gonna do it manifold style so people told me in the comments they get me down with the lingo of satisfactory players so manifold i guess is the terminology used for when you're doing a rolling start when this belt is feeding into machines and you're waiting for the last machine to get its stuff because they're going into all the other ones which are all getting backed up and that's called manifold cool name so that's what i'm gonna do so we're running a manifold of coal this way that i don't know if that's how you use that turbo that's how i'm gonna use it running manifold this way and then also gonna be pulling the iron down this way and running it parallel to this and then shipping it in okay so that's the plan anyway um and how far in we go and how we do that it's all up to me i guess but i was thinking somewhere about somewhere like there just over the line slightly and it gives a lot of room for a second line to run up and then all the mergers and splitters to do their thing as they feed in and then this can just be a little uh unique walkway i guess so we could even color these foundations uh as asphalt what's wrong oh there we go sorry oh my god materials that's what i was looking for boom so you could call it as asphalt just to match the other factories i have and just follow them out and it could be like a little road that takes us that way something like that maybe could look nice build a fence around it could look good can't do any underground building on this one because we're just right at the foundation's floor all right so there we go that's the idea um so we're gonna need six of these i think so we should have everything we need one two three all right i'm missing a little bit of modular frames but don't worry i've left some behind me all right cool just pick up some more concrete now so my inventory was full so just basically oh there's the rebar by the way parkour all right that's one two three four five and here's our sixth so to make this go a little smoother for me just going to build out here for a second and build another watch tower just so we can climb up and see what we're doing from a pie sorry for clearing my throat like i said it's just the residual cove it now it's almost gone i was really worried in the last episode i don't know if it's in there i tried to watch through my stuff but obviously episodes are long um and you'd be surprised how much of my own stuff i do watch but uh when i was at certain points i literally backed away from the mic and just coughed for a while um so i was like oh i hope i got all of them i think three of them i cut out but one of them i thought would be quite funny you just hear me in the background like basically dying or sounding like i am but i don't think anyone mentioned it so i think i'm good two three four five six and you'll never know because it's not like i'll ever tell you i did that right so there's our six um so we wanna just basically divide up this line so is it time to stop the production i guess we can do this while letting it keep feeding in there yeah actually i'll just pick up all this coal anyway if the machines run out i'll just manually feed them or in case beams will stop because of this and we'll have to make our dash for the the hub ready so we'll just go with belt two and basically just continue along actually sorry the way it was but end it a bit shorter it doesn't have to go i don't want it to be fed into the machines anymore and then we could just take the output from these and feed them into that to keep the beams going all right so boom along we go keep it straight straight straight straight so at the halfway mark we'll add a little pillar right in between these two machines now just keep keep that going all the way till about somewhere around here let me just come around okay so this will just have to be fed into the last machine itself so i'm just trying to work this out something like that is it not so hard to see i'll have to just jump down trying to just align it problems of building in 3d okay good so that's going into that one the others are all going to need their splitters now holding control of course we just snap so i wanted to go on the left side of each machine just to keep it even now sometimes i've seen this before i'm holding control and it doesn't snap sometimes it does don't really know where that is so i found a little trick if you do this and then you hold ctrl it'll snap to the thing in front of it and you can just get rid of that so now i know that it's aligned so i don't know if there's another way around that that's just something i found on my on my own that works yeah because it's weird it's like this isn't snapping it looks like it is the line is appearing but it's not like locking in so just to make sure it's totally locked and there isn't going to be any like slight deviation just change that little bit all right two more to go okay good so then so what needs to go in here 45 isn't it yeah it's 45 so i'm actually gonna i don't know if other people do this but i'm gonna make the belts what they sh like the you know this belt can carry 60 and we need 45 to go in there so i don't want it to be a super fast belt we want it to be a slower belt and that way it'll get backed up faster that more will flow along this way right that's my logic i think it works i also think it looks kind of cool when you have one belt like that's the main bus i guess and then all these little siphons that come off of it that i operate operating slower it makes everything look like it's all full all the time rather than little piecemeal going in all right so that's that done nice and easy the next thing we need to do then is do the next layer the one above this one let's just jump up here okay so to do that we'll have to do something pretty similar but different so like this one to i well first of all actually hang on we need elevators and the elevators are gonna be just mark one okay so they all have their second tier now that elevator is positioned i think three levels above the floor so this is the one where it would need to come off of okay so three levels above the floor easy enough ideally we could flow along the exact same line it doesn't have to come separately to it so we could just have it somewhere like here is where the iron has to go in let's just hop down again real quick i know that the iron wants to come along the center of the floor here so about there i think we'll be good one two and three all right that should line things up rather nicely man can't wait to get that jet back all right cool all right let's get rid of this actually i don't need it so i'm just trying to think the best way to do this it's probably not the best way but it's the way i can think of doing it is to put down the stackable conveyor poles oh did i not line that up oh my god are you kidding me oh it's is it slightly off all the way down i'm confused no it's not off it's i'm looking at this it's a line to the center of the floor it's just this is uh that's off i think is it oh it looks central to me why is it not lining up then oh yeah it's okay sorry about that yeah i just i don't know i guess it's just a little bit off but it's actually not so it's okay like i guess my mouse was off i mean anyway the reason i want that is just because it wanted to like line up nicely obviously you know um so just something like that to gauge where it's going to go and then i'll just do this along the halfway mark somewhere like around here as well so that way the poles are just going to be aligned with where the poles are on the ground that makes sense so these have little poles want them to be aligned with where i'm doing the stackable pull you have to look directly at it what i was doing was looking at this means i can't put it down so when i was trying to put it down on the floor it was next to it that's that's what was happening if i look directly at the floor it will work that way all right so those two are done and then this one's just gonna have to know how to flow in here so it needs to be one two all right good this will make sense when we get a pie again that machine is still operating by the way the case uh in case beams are still going which is good to see so number six boom off we go along the line nice nice and evenly turned in super straight line so now we just need again splitters all the way so again just to line these things up because i have a problem aligning them like i said i'm not too sure why i'm just gonna do this in front of each thing this should allow me to snap to it all right good so now we should just be able to snap to it pretty easily yeah that's going to be a bit of an issue on that one so i'll get to that in a sec all right let's destroy these okay cool so the next thing we'll just hop down i guess uh we'll just line these all up so feed them in with slow belts all right looking good so the only issue i see is that this thing probably shouldn't come in on one of these you should probably have a stackable pole or something instead because yeah we can create one of these just fine splitter right there and then we'll have a stackable pull actually don't need a stackable pole we just have an elevator yeah perfect actually so let's just get rid of this little chunk get another elevator change from here down and turn so it's not quite aligned is that going to be too much of a problem for people i think it might be it's a bit of a problem for me it looks like we could totally fit in there how could i do it from the bottom up maybe got an idea maybe something like this would that work and then if i went with a regular belt like this how far out is that it's a good two chunks over that it moves so you move this two chunks over one two something like that has to have an input input there pop that here rotate it around so it's in the center now and face it out that way reverse it oh it's actually supposed to have an output goddamn there we go all in the name of alignment which i think you'll all agree is probably the most important thing now this belt get rid of it there hook it back into that get our splitter don't do me dirty oh it fits and say good night to those all right really messy way of doing it but look it works right so we're feeding up and in and then this will just come straight out with a slow belt like that so just have a nice little look back at what we've just done there's a little bit like pulling teeth for a second there but we're okay now nice and even eh so the top line is gonna be iron just coming along bottom line is coal and i'm going to make these so that they're both coming out at their at the exact matched rate now the belts that we're going to get i think hold up to 270 per minute so 270 per minute what's 270 divided by six it's 45. what are these machines take 45 each hell yeah okay right so the plan is working let's just paste this onto all of these paste it paste it and paste it excellent right so that's all hooked up feels good man let's head on over to our encased beam see how it's going how many did we get we got 48 that's not bad uh we can throw some more in there though so i have 131 to throw away let's do it all right let's let that keep doing its thing for a minute gonna start deconstructing the rest of the uh the rest of the foundry now essentially and we'll hook these up to yes this isn't needed here either hook this up to uh iron let me just spam get rid of all this it's just the one on the left that needs to work now isn't it no actually nothing does feeding everything in manually all right sorry bear with me with that but hopefully you can see the vision slightly coming together now that's the six foundries built we can take that off our list once i hook it up to it's technically not done so we hook it up to the iron right so let's just do that and then we can activate logistics mark iii all right basically just need to tap each one of these and get rid of it then right excellent all right good these power poles are all gonna have to change and we have to lay out the power poles actually so let's just go with a tier two belt let's just roll it along every second gap we'll put a pole down just to make it look kind of nice i suppose you could have had it going on a on a rail up the whole time it's always nicer to raise things i think because you can walk around the bottom of the floor so these two miners still want to merge because we'll have faster belts that can carry everything i think um so just leave it the way it is actually we'll just rotate this thing so that was a merger you put the merger back in so that flowed in but this one didn't so i'm just gonna delete that and hook it back up okay all right we are in business that is iron ore now flowing down to the foundry and if we did it right we should see it all splitting between the two areas now those are offline now so let's just power this back on keep them drilling and then the last thing i guess is just to hook up power poles that like kind of night nicer neater intervals and then uh join everything together and we should have enough power for all this i think so i'm just gonna put a power pole right on the split between each thing that's nice because you can actually see on the building where the connector is it's right there so the line of wire is really short so it should make it look a little neater okay so is that everything so we just need one more on the left i'll just tuck this one in just slightly because gonna have a fence on that and yes grass may poke through but you know what can i do about that raise the whole entire thing are you mad okay all right that's that done so they are all hooked up all set to steal all receiving their iron and their coal and what's nice that will let them just get fully backed up right away so that when we do upgrade the lines everything should keep moving nicely um okay is that it that might be it for this entire well not this entire area but this entire what i was planning on doing before unlocking the next tier stuff let's just get rid of this little bit that's in our way okay all right we just have tons of iron in fact yeah maybe i'll just go to these machines and just load like just load them up because i've got too much on my inventory right now are they taking any in right now actually not so let's just throw that in there to begin with this should just get us moving a little bit quicker also why aren't these on if we've powered them i mean oh they haven't been fully hooked up yet that's why yeah just fully powered them first and then we'll turn them on i'm sorry to do this but my phone is just like buzzing like crazy so i don't know if it's some sort of emergency or something no it's not sorry about that all right okay i probably should have done it from the last one first but whatever okay cool so they're all on so let's hook them up to power let's see it roll we should do it from up up high that would be nice to see it um yes let's do that i think it just would make things look nice and we'll just quickly run out we'll grab our we'll unlock mark three and then hook everything up as fast spell to look even better looks good already though i like the look of it okay so this is our power line here i'll just extend it out this way i'll just hook it up to this oh yes there we go that's what it's all about but as you can see i mean as you will see over time the consumption rates are going to be far too great for what we're throwing out so that's why we need logistics mark iii and we need mark ii miners and we need to overclock them to get their rates to be where we need them to be which is we need 270 iron coming out of these two bad boys and 270 coming out of that one coal miner which i think we can do alrighty so that's gonna be it build six foundries done nailed it all right i'm gonna make a run for back home maybe we could just go grab that blue slug there's actually another one over there i saw as well you always need um can i just jump that off just to be sure in case i can't jump but let's just do this pop down some stairs and just run up it because yeah we're actually going to be using quite a few of these but i think we've got enough already all right nice off we go i just want to check i have everything i need i've got my 200 200 and we have 500 concrete yep got everything we need great so it's just a matter of reaching the top of our building up there and then activating the i had a bug by the way where i deconstructed the hub a few times so my inventory was full so what it did was it threw down hub parts free to reconstruct it as an item on the ground but it threw down two lots of it so now i've got like a spare hub on top of the copper factory actually i just left it there because i can't delete it i tried throwing it in the awesome sync to see what would happen but it didn't give anything obviously um i guess you could just throw it in the delete pile but it always feels weird doing that but um that's probably what i'll have to do because i don't think you can have two it'd be nice if you could but i don't think you can i'll have to check by the way uh thanks for all the kind words of this ugly i mean i think it's a monstrosity but people were like no no it's brutalism man it's it's great um but yeah i hadn't heard of brutalism before it's kind of interesting i ended up looking at loaded designs brutalism uh secondhand information now i didn't really plan on reiterating it from what i read it's something to do with seeing the structure the the structural integrity of the building isn't like hidden you see it and it's often like you know concrete dominant see these large and it said it was started in the uk not not in soviet union all right logistics mark three done sticks can be improved with a larger storage container and enhanced conveyor belt efficiency alrighty larger storage container and enhanced belt efficiency so we now have power storage which i've never seen before stores excess power production stored power can be used later in the cases of high consumption that's cool so you could use that instead of having biomass burners right no point in having those um industrial storage container twice the size is a regular one belts that can take 270 and a stackable pipeline support to make these belts though we need steel that's why we're saving up steel back home i should have actually hooked it up to beam straight away but oh well hey this didn't save there we go and that's unlocking mark 3 logistics also now done so we have to create our mark ii miners now so we basically have to head back out now if i could dump anything into here i will just throw it into the awesome sink don't need that get rid of this let's create the biofuel in here this one takes wood is that all right that's fine throw in the steel as well it's going to be nothing really to that just make this hog protein and i'm just gonna throw some excess crap in this box right here okay let's get going back to where we were um i can actually take the tractor so we'll get there a little bit quicker we'll head out this way where's the tractor it's just over there well just for fun i'll jump on this thing nailed it all right off we go mark two miners now i've already made a bunch of portable miners i knew i'd need it so we should be able to upgrade them pretty quickly so many limestone deposits around here i have to tap into as well all right here we are so they're all puffing away some of them are probably maxed out maybe maxed out already oh no they're chugging because obviously they can't get enough stuff just yet that's something i forgot to do is actually lay out the front um so just really quickly i'm just going to grab some of the steel just to keep our steel beam production moving it's going to hook up a couple of these temporarily what a mess of wires eh anyway looks great steel beams so in ego just keep those moving because we're gonna need them excuse me sorry to continue um uh laying out the belts while we wait for them to get made yes we don't have any left all right so in order to actually upgrade these things what are we going to need we have now here um mark two miners so we've got everything we need we need three of them in total we have to head down to that coal area and get them set up let's just take all of these on and i think that means we can just literally look at it and upgrade it yep so what's the difference well basically we can see that the top of the building has a bit more plating around it and there's a few more construction tape kind of hazard symbols so basically that's going to check out twice as much right so that's now 120 per minute this belt is 120 per minute but we're merging them together so together they're gonna get backed up right here but of course we're about to get a belt that's gonna increase that even further need to set up the copper mine actually as well so we could do that while we're waiting on the steel to be made all right let's run down to the coal section and get that also set up i'll have to um create a walkway or something to walk along here in future although really we should never be walking that way i could probably just do it from up here actually i don't think i need to run down yeah sweet all right do i have enough to do another one uh yeah i think so yep all right we can still do another one so let's just throw in more iron here seeing as we just backed up our inventory by deleting um various things that's 100 that's 100 oh they're just full of steel wow that's quick keep them all working i'll put them on a belt now in a moment it's been really fun it's going pretty smooth i feel like getting a lot done i like it when making that plan at the beginning is so good to just like having like not getting distracted not running off a million different directions to do different things all right just to let that keep doing its thing i'll set up a quick little box here logistics oh stupid back it off a bit further well let's build one of our thick ones though we can't do it yet all right there we go so this can just feed into both of these now i'll just do a splitter right here okay great so that's just being fed a bit more automatically now um yeah i suppose let's just get this hooked up before we run off and do the copper area might as well instead of having to keep coming back so we just need again this will be like manifold style so we'll just keep laying these out with mergers and then just temporarily feed them into that box so i think on this line here would be good this one doesn't need to be a merger this one does all right as long as that just maintains the same direction we'll be fine see they trick you by showing you the center point of the building which is like not the line we actually want of course all right and you go what the hell was that sorry big mistake so okay good there we go slow belts feeding into a fast belt fast belt sending it into a box box turning them into steel beams um suppose as well i'll just add a third one just to make it go even quicker so we just need so many we're gonna need like so many of these beams all right now we're splitting it three ways and we'll just upgrade this to a faster belt as well okay there we go what does this take in anyway 60 per minute goddamn all right good okay so that is um yeah create mark ii miners we have one more mark two minor to make and then we can take that off the list and then the last thing is just hook it all up and build the rest of it build the copper area really i didn't even write that one down i actually thought this would take longer although we're coming kind of close to the end of the episode not too close the copper area is next so we need four smelters and something like 16 constructors it's going to be crazy but it's really straightforward what we got to do just have to put it all down so let's see miner mark ii there we go nice building i i do prefer the mark ii for sure just the extra encasing on it the white color is really great as well a lot of people were digging the white in the uh comments as well thanks again i can't i can't say it enough i know it sounds just i don't know how it sounds really but i genuinely mean it thank you so much for just such kind words no one said a bad thing yet really you know not that i wouldn't i wouldn't even mind little criticism it's all fine and but just people giving great tips you know i'm just being so welcoming it's like a lot of satisfactory players so far my experience with the community has been delightful that's what i'm saying um so let's just put a wall down excuse me sorry i got the black lung pop all right here we go something like that this will just feed into there and that will come out yeah we'll just leave it the way it is i'll probably get rid of that wall though eventually actually i'll just get rid of it now because we do have the thing to climb up so this is going to come out here and then be fed into four excuse me smelters so i want to come down this way and turn so that's all of the mark ii miners done hook it all up i'll change this to copper area okay so the copper area is the last thing we need to do really so let's see do we have what we need four smelters four smelters seems no problemo so we'll start with that uh maybe we can get a tower up here blistering hot sun i'm recording this on a day where it's in london i'm near london i don't don't live in london but i live south of it and a lot of people ask i'm actually from ireland by the way um and i lived in ireland pretty much my whole life until well i guess i'm getting old now but seven years i've lived in england so um i'm nearly 30. so when i was 22 or 23 i moved here okay so we want so i'm looking at these little squares you know these squares within the squares so that's gonna be just the line okay so yeah we need four smelters i think roughly around this direction just to move forward about there it's hard to see the center from this point on we'll just leave that so i think that's what i want the reason i'm leaving such a big gap is so that they can feed into two machines each of them need two constructors in front of them i think that's right now again this will just be manifold but from here on out it won't be is that correct yes i love hearing the machines powering up and down knowing that i'm gonna fix that soon so it's gonna be copper now 30 per minute is all it needs all right good coppered out of my mind so i think it's eight constructors uh so basically i'll just show you what i'm working towards we're working towards getting automated wiring and automated wiring takes 50 cable so 50 is an awkward number because if we have a look at a constructor and see what a constructor makes for cable it takes 60 wire in terms of 30. so to get 50 out of 30 is a little awkward um but we can get 100 relatively easily and i'll show you how pretty soon so 100 will mean we'll have two of these so we're going to be making two assemblers both of them are going to be making um automated wiring because they require stators and a stator we can get five so the five gets evenly divided between two we just need to make a factory that can make the cables at the right we need them to also we need a tiny bit of wire so some of the wire will actually go into struggling to remember actually i think we just looked at it oh into the stator itself yeah yeah so we make we make 20 pipes we are going to make 20 pipes we'll have five as an excess go i don't know somewhere and then we're gonna have plenty of wire 40 coming into here making five staters five stages into two of these so it should all work out i've done the math on my notepad and i have it in front of me so it should all work out right so the next thing then is going to be getting a splitter in the front of each of these really simply i want to kind of compress this area down yeah especially this this bit can be quite compressed so let's pop it there all right good so what are we outputting on this 30 per minute that's 120 copper ingots that we're making but doesn't matter we're not putting the money only one belt we're separating them all out so from here we're going to say let's climb up that tower again put the tower in the middle this time like a smart boy excuse me so with the tower here we can now see roughly where we need to put all of these now nice thing about constructors my favorite building because they just take up pretty much one grid almost perfectly so we'll just put them to the left and right of these almost exactly in line and that should be okay right i'm a bit confused let me just do it to this side first yeah so they need to come back so that their halfway mark is about there and now they could just be in the line from here on out before i do that and mess it all up just wanna make sure that these are feeding in nicely yeah they are in fact it can go back further so we'll just send it back further all i need to do is get the first one in the right place and then all the others just line up so about there i thought maybe this would be too close but it's not it's great okay cool i don't need to climb up to this then if that's the case then so that's three four five six seven and eight alrighty hook them all up so basically what we have is you know 30 ore coming in 30 or going or 30 ingots going out and then in here these are basically all going to be making wire now to make cable we need wire so all of these are going to make wire first let's paste these settings on each one of these that should be fine all righty so there we go man we are mass producing now what kind well i feel like it i know that at higher levels people go crazy with stuff but um feels like it's me just laying out like so many machines all in a row um so cable will be the next thing so let me just have a look at how we got to do that cable needs 60 coming in and 30 going out 30 comes out of these so again we need these now in the center and to do a very similar thing which is to merge so it's basically looks like the opposite of what's happening behind it is that good right there in them is kind of central right i think the last set are going to behave differently i can't quite remember how just yet right so what do we have 30 in ego 60 combined using my slow belts for these oh did i mess up oh crap i did sorry about that i'll figure that one out at the moment all right looking good okay that's gonna be doing cable and this is also gonna be doing cable the next one not so much i don't think where can i get this right there we go oh this is a super building heavy episode i thought if i said it earlier i'm losing my mind a little i'm not sleeping very well but um i think in the in the future episodes once we get to the next space elevator phase done my plan is to do setup builds on quartz i think quartz i found somewhere well i haven't found it i just buzzed it and it was on the map somewhere out that direction and then caterina more there's somewhere out that way i think so that'd be good after we hit the next phase before just ramping up yet again get more specialized materials dump stuff in the awesome shop but maybe get a bit more creative with some of the building that we're doing at least that's my plan right so let's switch these to cables cable cable so 30 30 and 30. that's 90. we need a little bit more so let me see i haven't written down what i was planning how i'd get this all worked out so i've got my notes in front of me uh so eight constructors into four constructors for cable one of them is running at ten per minute i have written down okay so i guess one of them i have underclocked i assume it is this one this one is probably oh yeah it's lined up with the final one that would make sense right because these two so what we need to do here we've got 30 and 30. hmm i might need to come back to that in a second because i need 40 to come out oh yeah yeah yeah yeah so this runs at 10 this is 10 per minute the saving we get can go out this way so i just can't remember how i split it i think it's something like this where 30 goes in gets split into 15. so that 15 goes in there and that's 33 so oh no it needs 20 it needs 20. i'm very confused i don't know why i shouldn't be confused this is all basically figured out form well not for me but i figured it out wrote it down but i didn't write down how i split these i just know that i do some splittery and uh figure it out so let me just look at the assemblers and that should give me the clue i need floor's too steep so this is going to go out into this or this one stator machine the stator 8 wire 40 per minute yeah so that's fine so why wouldn't i just have it come out of one machine why is there two extra machines that's why that's the thing that's really confusing me if i mess this up somehow so two into one and that's 30. that's fine two into one and that's 30. so we're up to 60 two more into one 90 in total and then if these two were combined oh sorry oh my god yeah i'm crazy i'm so sorry so yeah these two combined make 60 and then we splinter off 20. i don't know why i for some reason literally i read that as 60 like i must have read that 60 three times in the last few minutes just severely confusing me uh but i get it now so what we need then is a merger we need to merge these two as per usual yep so that's going to be combined into 60 but then we need to split it and we split three ways not just two ways to split three ways that way we get our 20 and that's what we need to go into that final machine so this is a little there we go ah sorry it needs to split in front of it though this time that's the difference so this one will be slightly offset from the others i'm hoping this works probably will look a bit weird yeah so that's 20 going that way and that's what's going to need because this is going to be cable but it's reduced to 30 out to yeah 33.3 aka 10 per minute which is the third third of 60 is 20. so it's going to take in 20. okay so these 60 20 goes that way and the 40 is going to go into an assembler that report requires stators which needs 40 per minute right so i've worked it out so that's that um so basically yeah it needs to re-merge anywhere here really anywhere on a even center point so okay cool so this is receiving 40 in the end and then just for temporary measure we'll just put this here so i know 40 comes out that's 40 wire that's going to go down in here and go into an assembler along with the pipes that we're going to be making so that's i think that's basically the copper area i mean the other thing then would be the very final thing would be another wall like here that's going to be sending out uh maybe we could push it further that's going to be sending out 100 cable and the hunter cable is needed to go into the machine that's going to go from the two stators hopefully that all kind of makes sense it's really got a little bit bogged down there in the center but uh it's all figured out now all right merged merge and on you go and there's a hundred so we need a mark ii belt forgot that little bit on the end i don't know how i didn't see it i was thinking like why is the gap so uneven alright cool two okay so from a bird's eye view we won't go all the way up but a high-level view we've got four smelters in the back fed into eight constructors all making wire that wire then goes into four constructors all making cable one of which is underclocked to um one third making just 10 cable so that's 369 plus 10 100. 100 goes out will be fed into two assemblers this will be fed out into an assembler so we'll hook everything up with assemblies at the end of the in the in the next episode and finish this place off but before i end the episode it would be wrong not to at least gather up all these um steel beams and improve our belts to watch the magic okay cuz we've got lots of steel beams now coming in so what we need to do the final thing then just to get our foundry up and running correctly is to activate this as to its full potential let's say so conveyor mark 3 can hold up to 270 resources this is a mark ii produces 240 120 sorry and this is 120 so that's 240 in total so we need to do is upgrade this to 270. let that do its thing it's going to turn this machine off for a second and now we're going to overclock these so let's open up our calculator 270 divided by 2 is 135. to get 135 well we can just type it here so let's drop in one of our overclockers 135. so it's a tiny increment but it's what we need to balance everything 100 let's see do that over here as well now you could just put it into one i suppose if you didn't want to waste the overclocking i guess that would actually make sense but i like i like it being even this way it's even between the two but if i'm short of these i'll just change it so uh that's going to be 135 what's it 135. 112.5 percent and that's going to create 135 parts per minute 135 parts per minute combined together to make 270 which is the belt's maximum output so just roll along here for a second upgrade all of our belts and we need to upgrade the lift as well importantly often forget to do that these can all stay the same but the main bus belt needs to be improved excuse me and then we need to do the same with the others oh my god oh my god hurt my legs i can't believe i didn't take more damage than that it's fine all right well here we are okay and then we need that belt again i'm flying now obviously it's chugging because it's hitting a slower belt all right there we go that should be the belts improved so the last thing to do is just um turn these machines back on and i think that's it then it's crazy this is still throwing stuff out down to just 20. now the other thing i need to do i'll come back to this in just a second is um overclock the other minor this one this needs to be overclocked as well to keep up so for four smelters i can't quite remember how much each one takes actually but i remember thinking i could be wrong it might be the limestone i need to overclock thirty three six oh that's fine then actually that's 120. so no overclocking needed there what i am going to need to overclock is that limestone and then i'll need two constructors for that one limestone that can make the encased beams when we get some steel belts or steel steel beams i mean but i think that's it i think that's going to be it for this episode let me just power those machines back on we'll build a little uh watchtower and just look at it all flow so that's the whole point of the game is just to look back at your machines and go like yeah there it is all right off we go coming in at a nice steady 135 per minute and it'll start shooting out so you see the gaps that gap though but that gap we're gonna evenly fill perfectly once this one merges and if it wasn't perfect it would be a slight gap okay it's not perfect something's wrong with it there we go it was a level one belt still seeing kind of gaps though there really shouldn't be i'll just make sure that that one's done as well yeah it's all good all right good let's be our last tower we can look back at everything so in the next episode basically we'll finish off this factory area but now everything is getting stuck so we want to see these all powered on and not ever powering down it's only starting to get the sp you know it's starting to split now and go between everything but of course it is manifold so it's going to take a while for everything to divide up this manifold from the other direction too which is interesting it's like oh from this side we're pulling in coal from that side we're pulling in iron i'll just do a once-over of all the belts make sure they're all upgraded to the level they need to be i think they are but um just to see if there's any like little problems like that but they should slowly start all powering on now and then on the opposite side we'll have all the steel ingots going out to a new section we'll build i think we can have something like i want to say six constructors that will make everything we need which is mostly gonna be beams and a little bit of pipes and then assemblers which will make the final parts we need for phase three so in the next episode we should be able to just what is that there's something up there oh never mind just i think it was part of the watchtower i was on for a second anyway yeah so in the next episode we should hit phase three or at least get everything fed into the elevator that is needed everything should be getting produced that's needed so there we go all right that's gonna be it for this episode guys thank you so much for watching a really building heavy episode but i feel like i got a lot done you know upgraded all the miners upgraded everything got doubled our output of foundries and pretty much gotten it all running now flawlessly and that copper area will be fed in down here into the assemblers to make all the final products uh evenly as well so that just needs to be hooked up with power and that should be good to go all right that's gonna be it thank you guys very much for watching and i'll see you in
