dressed up in this way this is a batik shirt from indonesia that my mom got me and nat how about yourself what are you wearing today my dress is a little bit like a chong from china have any of you been anywhere for missions before if you have gone somewhere for missions do let us know in the chat where have you gone i hope that you had a great experience with god in missions yep so let us know in the chat where you've gone before in missions and we would love to know a little bit more about where you have traveled before you know especially pre-covert in this season we've been hearing so many amazing testimonies of what god has been doing in the ministry of our missions partners around malaysia as well as the world just two weeks ago we heard an amazing testimony from thailand and this week we prepared some praise reports from some other countries as well in vietnam despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic the last one and a half years we were able to partner along and plant four new churches and we were also able to help raise five new church planters praise god for his goodness and faithfulness because we also saw 650 souls saved and 299 water baptisms among the mountain regions thanks that was really so inspiring and then in philippines the pasta that we've been working with closely completed a church building on land that we financially assisted in purchasing you know when we first began partnering with them they only had just a very few members in a small rented shack but now they have a beautiful place to proudly call their church you know and even if you see in the pictures that's just such a nice space for them to worship together as a as a church family and we're so encouraged every time we see their fervor and their conviction and their faith to worship god now would you like to just share one more story before we move on sure thing this is a slightly longer one in cambodia so many were suffering financially emotionally and physically because of the lack of food during the pandemic the church stepped in community care projects to provide basic needs this opened many new doors and hearts to the gospel as a result three new church works have been planted in the season also in the slums of siem reap we have reached over 40 families with relief aid after working with the village chief to help villagers who have lost their jobs we even got permission to plant a church there finally the church in cambodia reached out to an army camp where 10 families could not leave the village due to lockdown and also began reaching out to some prisoners there the church has been now allowed the start of official prison ministry there that's really so amazing that thanks for sharing those stories if you want to praise god this morning for the work that he's doing can you just type in the chat praise god you know because we want to declare that the gospel is still being shared souls are still being added into god's kingdom despite all the challenges we face from kobet and i want to ask for those who are tuning in when the borders open where would be the first place you would like to visit for missions as for myself i remember going to india in december right before kobe hit and it was really such a precious trip where we got to see how god's work has been built there over so many years glad tidings had such a historical missions work in in india and just go and visit each church and and hear their stories of where they started from from just meeting in the fields meeting in the under the tree to a huge building where where with you know thousands come to to worship god every week it's just such an amazing testimony of how god continues to work how god continues to move and so if i had a chance i think that the first place i may consider the visit is back to india because there's really such a precious uh missions field over there just a reminder if you are a youth we have an exciting youth service today with a special guest i'm not old enough to go in yet but if you're above 13 you can click in the link provided to join the session oh and if you are an adult we have a special speaker just for today to share his heart with us on missions pastor benedict rajan you know and he is a familiar face to us and even for a bible school student joshua who is attached to us right now that is the the pastor pastor he um you know has been under all these years back in johor so it's really exciting that we get to hear his message uh today whatever he has downloaded from god would you prepare your hearts even to hear the powerful message that is to come you know and i just read that that for some of you you have been visiting uh india teresa and you you know um one whole malaysia you've also been you say we would love you want to go into vietnam and bangladesh and thailand and cambodia and nepal and east malaysia all right marina if you like to uh go to bangladesh sarawak cambodia oh i've been to bangladesh and sarawak before for missions it's also such a um precious country in order to do missions working you know and um yeah we are almost ready to to begin the the service okay and i just want to ask uh matt you know put her a bit on the spot would you like to just say a prayer before we enter into the service okay let's pray dear god we thank you that we can call you our heavenly father thank you for your love for us in today's service service help us to feel your presence as we worship and lift you into our hands may you be glorified today in everything that we do we commit we commit the service into your hands in jesus name amen amen and amen and so we're gonna start in a few moments but you know i just want to encourage you as we enter into a time of worship would you uh you know take up go out of your seats in the home would you stand would you lift your hands because the presence of god can show up wherever you are and really uh it's it's it's we're engaging with worship because we worship the king of kings and the lord of lords and he is worthy of all our praise and there's something different when not only our spirit and our mouth uh respond in worship but when our whole body you know stands up lift our hands in a posture of surrender and worship god's presence just comes in and begins to move in such a powerful way and if you are with your families at home you know you could hold the hands of your children you know and pray before you enter into the service as well so i just want to commit the service into god's hands and you know it's going to be exciting let's get ready amen let's go hello is uh good morning church salaam welcome back to church we it is a missions emphasis this weekend and we are dressed up in our traditional baju missions video advancing god's kingdom let's hear from our country called it coordinators hi i'm michael mission director and representing india we were there since 1997. over the years the work that we do evolved due to changing political and social development the indian people genuinely love god with all their hearts once they accept jesus our ministry is to the very poor in rural areas communication is most challenging because they lack the means our goal is to assist and to provide them with the equipment to keep them connected to the gospel thank you hi i'm pastor russell representing bangladesh and pakistan as for bangladesh we cover the rural areas where members livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic the bigger challenge is the lack of physical meetups and the churches love to meet we are currently supporting the church planters also run a school of missions the ground is fertile and we hope to continue supporting bangladesh for pakistan we work with the local churches they are active in community projects locally and they have prohibitions to locals whose livelihoods have been impacted the primary school they run they have been closed down during this period and they hope to reopen it our hope is to reach more areas in pakistan hi i'm tresa representative for cambodia we cover the village areas there and people are poor we have provided medical help previously and continue to engage them and provide support through this time there is also barber school training for some local pastors and dealers we hope to continue to show god's love to the communities there hi i'm pastor yimlan my prayer for china is for the people of god there to continue reaching out despite all the challenges we pray for god's blessing protection and wisdom to be upon the churches there we also support the chinese school ministries in northern thailand these schools help the rural children to pick up mandarin which enables them to further their studies find better jobs and elevate their poverty we are eager to continue supporting these schools hi my name is levi representing indonesia so we cover the small towns to remote regions and glad tiding has played a big role in planting the seed since a long time ago and this has helped to prepare the locals for such a challenging time like what we are experiencing now we have a mission school there and as the local pastors and leaders they continue to train and identify new areas to reach out to our support means a lot to them hi friends i am pastor kunsan representing both myanmar and nepal regarding myanmar the recent cool and civil strife have badly affected people worsened by the serious pandemic churches have to double up as community leaders and even farmers to feed and care for their congregation and to the majority non-believers black titans has built a strong foundation there the past 20 years our aim is to continue to train and enhance the customer and leadership skills for their future ministry similarly for network the pandemic has ravaged that amusingly churches there have taken the added role as community care centers can help us today nepal is one of the fastest growing churches worldwide and we are glad to have played our part in excluding the pastor's standards as in myanmar we could not be physically present but our equipping and encouragement while zoom have meant such a lot to them in missions we care thank you jesus hi i'm vincent representing philippians we cover the very remote tribal areas in southern philippines i remember one time when we were there worshiping in darkness god told me to look around did i ever imagine that even in such remote areas there would be people worshipping him god is looking for available intermediaries we do what we can god does the rest hey i'm pastor patricia representing thailand it was challenging initially but we had our breakthrough in 2019. we currently support the local bible school students there and we can have regular contact our vision is to work alongside the local partners to plan new churches we pray that we can raise up a fresh generation for jesus in thailand hi i'm travina representing vietnam a few years ago the government authorities have given license to vietnam aog we now have more opportunity to expand our ministry we cover the northern central and mountain areas we provide training and also resources to the local church pastors and leaders indeed the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few our hope is to plant more churches and raise up more leaders hi i'm pastor su missions pastor and representing sri lanka and malaysia in sri lanka the people were affected by the pandemic in the remote areas flooding food and resources were vital issues the local pastors who themselves had gone through so much were resilient and creative in serving god we were amazed at their resourcefulness we hope to continue to bless them so that they in turn can bless their communities back on the home front we have the orang asli tamil chinese and sabah and sarawak outreaches we have been providing aid to many of them that have been affected by the pandemic most of them are daily wage earners and we hope to be a testament of god's love to them we also pray and hope that we can grow our local ministry because certainly there's lots of potential here thank you to all our country coordinators for their passion right in reaching the nations you can see you know they're hard even during this pandemic they have met the their country partners even in zoom so thank you for your passion for the mission spin this morning we have a guest speaker with us and the speaker is reverend benedict rajon and i've known him many years and pastor rajon is from great tidings formerly right and if i remember him you know what i remember him it's his fervor it's passionate you know in his preaching and his desire for winning souls that's what i remember him for and pastor benedict rajan was safe at a young as a young man and after that he was still turning back he gave his heart to the lord and then he begin to serve the lord faithfully he is presently the senior overseer of kelly city church in jehovah it's a church planter it's funded over 49 outreaches in johor bahru and other states and also started 23 shelter homes and drug rehab centers in jb he's also a revivalist to many parts of the world bringing the message of the power of the holy spirit right and in signs and wonders and in the preaching of god's words many has been blessed and healed so pastor rajan along with his beautiful wife reverend batteries and two daughters continues to serve the lord faithfully let's put our hands together and welcome reverend benedict good morning glad tidings pj it's a joy to join you this morning in this mission service i want to specially take this time to acknowledge three people number one thank you dr winston leo for giving me this opportunity to preach thank you pastor sunita and of course i remember pastor linda kuh and their glad tidings pj is the church where i was baptized in the holy spirit was baptized in the water and this is the church where i grew and went to bible school therefore i am grateful to this church for what it it has done to me in my life praise god i like to turn this morning your attention to the text that i would preach for your missions wick turn with me to romans the 10th chapter we're going to look at verses 13 through 15 and verse 17 and paul tells us him in verse 13 whoever calls upon the name of the lord will be saved and verse 14 how will they call on whom they have not believed how will they believe on whom they have not heard how will they hear without a preacher and how will they preach if they're not sent and verse 15 tells us how lovely are the feed of those who bring the gospel of peace and the glad tidings of good things and verse 17 tells us faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word i entitled this short message the missions glad tidings of good things the missions glad tidings of good things in bahasa you know now jesus spoke about this gospel of peace and the glad tidings of good things in luke the folk chapter verse 18 and 19 and he said this the spirit of the lord is upon me and he is anointed me to preach the gospel the gospel of peace to the poor and he has sent me to to heal the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives and the recovery of sight to the blind and set at liberty those who are prayers and verse 19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the lord i remember about 10 years ago when istimo became independent a young nation that was set free from the oppression of military we went in to evangelize you know and uh we brought the glad tidings of good things together with the gospel of peace we preached in delhi we established a church that's a capital and then we went to the second largest district bow com and and we established a huge church there preaching the gospel of peace and bringing the glad tidings of good things we brought deliverance we brought healing we set the people free and this tiny nation is predominantly soaked and saturated in capitalism and occultism and i remember specifically in one of my frequent trips i ministered to this guy by the name of evangelino he was possessed he was a spiritus and he heard the gospel and the power that came with the gospel he was set free and he went to all the hugs that he had small small hearts where they read the spirits and because the demons out and destroyed all these occultic objects and today he and his brother are preachers of the word and you see what the glad tidings of good things can do now the purpose of this message this morning is this you cannot have missions really without this two missions good tidings of good things there are many but i'll just touch on two number one missions praying mission spraying assuming your mission's giving okay missions giving extends and expense your missions work but it is your missions praying that intensifies that anoints and intensifies your mission's work ezekiel the 22nd chapter and was 13 ezekiel tells us for i sought for a man who will stand in the gab make a wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land the missions that i should not destroy it but i found no one and then we also read in matthew 21 verse 13 jesus said my house will become house of prayer but you have turned it into a place of activities or den of thieves and isaiah 56 and was seven says i will be pleased with your offering and i will be pleased with you in your worship and my house will be called a house of prayer for nations hallelujah hallelujah missions cannot be missions without missions praying we have missions ministry we need to have a missions prayer ministry as in habakkuk chapter 2 verse 14 where habakkuk tells us as the water covers the sea so the the renewed glory of god will cover the people the people so therefore i want to challenge you in this missions week did not go grovery did not become tired in missions praying david said in psalms chapter 2 verse 8 ask of me of this nation and i'll give you as an inheritance the ends of the earth has your possession my friends hudson taylor was a great missionary to china he was a great missionary to england china and he's he's not just a missionary he was a praying missionary in and in one of his uh prayer quotation he says this the secret to all our failure in missions in ministry and leadership is our failure in the secret place of prayer i repeat the secret of all of failure in leadership in ministry and missions is our failure in the secret place prayer are you here with me can somebody say man please the place of prayer in missions is your private prayer life john knox said this give me scotland or take me home let us mobilize a mission's prayer movement therefore all the missions that you have locally and outside of malaysia can be intensified and filled with the power of the holy spirit today in istimong we have for the last four four five years we have raised up local leaders we brought the glad tidings of good things of healing and deliverance and taught them how to pray and these churches have become self-supportive in dilli it's a mandarin church in bao kao in all the sub-districts they're all the local language churches we have raised local leaders why these missions have become so effective we have built the missions up there we got a huge piece of land we have a children's home we have a teenager home we have home for the needy all this is because back home we held them up in prayer in prayer praise god that's number one it's your secret prayer life people who will have a heart to pray in their private prayer life number two the second mission's glad tidings of good thing is missions giving we are in a pandemic almost now is almost two years i've not traveled outside we can travel barred our prayer we can assign our prayer in bended knees we can assign our prayer and we can also assign our giving i believe the following week there will be a probably a fake promise a fake pledge taken but i just want to encourage you in the remaining time that i have you know the second most important great tidings of good things pertaining to missions is our missions giving missions giving and jesus said in acts chapter 20 and verse 35 jesus said i've shown you in every way by laboring like this that you must support the weak and remember the words of our lord jesus christ that he said he said he's look at this it is more blessed to give than to receive more blessed to give than to receive hallelujah we need to honor we need to right away start preparing in our heart lord how much do you want me to to pledge how much do you want me to give to missions why is it so is it so blessed to give than to receive two simple reason and i want you to be part of this number one god loves a cheerful giver god loves you and i but god loves the cheerful giver one who would cheerfully give let's turn to second corinthians chapter nine and we're going to look at verse seven and verse eight later so let each one give as a purpose in his heart not grudgingly not grudgingly all of necessity for god loves a cheerful giver a missions giver is not a grudging giver a missions giver is not a giver out of necessity he doesn't give out of obligation but a mission's given is a cheerful giver he gives cheerfully now when you give cheerfully means you come and you give sacrificially you come and give out of your need you come giving out of your love that you have for the people outside of the borders of the church glad tidings pigeon is a church without border in the days to come this church will go to places where others will hesitate to go and this is a prophetic word this is a prophetic word you will make inroads into places where others will hesitate to go i sense in my spirit your missions will begin to grow your missions will begin to multiply your missions will begin to abound and people in the church will begin to say hear my send me lord how will they hear without a preacher are you here with me can somebody say man please now a promise for a cheerful giver you know this is not for any giver but for a cheerful giver there's a promise look at 2 corinthians chapter 9 verse 8 and god look at this and god is able god is able wow to make all grace abound towards you where do you need the grace of god where do you need this unmerited favor of god god is able to make all grace a bound towards you that you always that you always not sometimes sananthasa always you have all sufficiency in all things okay and may have an abundance for good work wow look at that this is a conditional promise for cheerful givers i pray when the church is required you to give you'll give cheerfully number two you know it's blessed to give than to receive why number one god loves a cheerful giver number two giving triggers giving triggers a divine response of receiving okay when you give in the natural we we we had loss but when you give in the spiritual giving begets receiving we read in luke the 6th chapter verse 28 38 now this is the nature of god my friends god so loved the world he didn't assign some doctrine he didn't assign some constitution to save the people but the bible tells us god so loved the world that he sent his only son jesus for you and i whoever believes in him will not perish but will have everlasting life for some reason you're watching this message and your heart is not given to jesus i tell you give your heart to jesus you got nothing to lose 2 corinthians 5 17 tells us anyone in christ is a new creation all things have gone everything has become new that's the gospel of peace let me read giving to god triggers receiving from god let's look at luke the 6th chapter 38 give it'll be given to you good measure not just some measure press down chicken together into your bosom and running over will be put into your bosom more than enough for with the same measure that you use it it will be measured back to you today the world is facing the famine of finance the famine of job the only way that we can cure this famine of finance in the body of christ is to give it's to give when you give god brings forth a spiritual response to this by returning to you even a thousand full as in deuteronomy chapter 1 verse 11. quickly as i come to the tail end of this message i'd like to share with you a testimony i preached this i preached for our missions about four weeks ago and i received this testimony two weeks ago and this is from a professional couple who are running their own successful business and this is what they have to say and with this i'm going to close and pray for you my wife and i both are qualified both have the same qualification we have our own business which have been affected like many others currently in johor baru alone 276 000 businesses has been closed thousands of people have lost their job and we pray that the causeway will be open and these people can go back to work and this is what they say we have been living on a daily basis barely collecting enough through their business to make bills payment bill payment and to put food on the table when we saw pastor benedict rajan's sermon on faith giving we were moved out to and really wanted to sow into all the good works that he's doing in calvary city church but we were worried about increasing our monthly commitment so after praying i'm glad they prayed we decided to dedicate all the earnings on the first working day of the month as our faith offering on the 1st of august we earn 390 ringgit that's how badly businesses have been affected and we gave it as a faith offering even if it meant giving all that we had now god was very good to us throughout the whole month we lacked nothing and we started new projects which customers were willing to pay upfront for us to get the work done for them which provided the capital needed at the end of the other month on the closing account our whole month earning was 300 and sorry 39 000 39 000 they gave 10 not knowing and got multiplied all praise and glory to the lord as he has blessed us hundred-fold this month the first of september we earn 2700 for the first week for which we're very happy and gave it to the lord and the lord has blessed us so much that we're able to be a blessing to to calvary city church jb and their missions god bless you you know friends as i conclude this message as we are in this pandemic the church will surely go to a post-pandemic era soon the two things that you and i can be involved in glad tidings pj's missions program is number one to pray every day in our secret prayer life in our closet prayer life we can adopt a project if you don't know you could ask pastor sunita or anybody else and adopt omissions and pray praying the secret of our failure in missions and ministry and leadership is our failure in our secret place prayer okay number two you can give you can freely give and i assure you your giving will not go and win father in the name of jesus i commit each one of those people who are watching this right now father i pray that you'll begin to touch them i pray their father that you will begin to minister to them above all i pray there will be a missions prayer movement and glad tidings begin not only among the congregation not only among the leaders i pray among the pastors to dear father they will become a missions prior warrior and as they begin to pray the missions will continue to grow and multiply and like what hudson taylor said god's work done according to god's ways will not lack god's provision and i pray forgive us as another week they will be having a missions rally and to take a pledge father i pray move the hearts of the people to give and this church glad tidings pj will be a praying church and a giving church i commit all the pastors and the leaders into your hands bless them and i pray for a new season of a new anointing to come upon them for this day the lord will have this known to you a new season is dawning on you a new season of fresh oil is dawning on you you will never do the works that you've done before but you're going to do it even newer and better and revived and renewed says the lord father i just commit everyone with your hands those who are sick in the body i just minister healing their father that your healing power just flow from the crown of the head to the tip of the toe lord heal them from joint to join from muscle to muscle from love to nerve i just minister healing those who don't have a job i pray the doors are open for you as in revelation chapter 3 verse 7 and 8 and those that need a touch from you but i pray as in psalms 16 verse 11 the fullness of your presence to descend upon them and feel them and saturate them and refresh them dear father thank you dear father thank you god if any one of them have lost your loved ones i pray for your comfort to come upon them thank you god as every eyes is closed everybody praying you know if there's someone who's watching this and your heart is so far away from jesus if someone is watching this and you are not you don't know jesus i'd like to give you an opportunity in this mission service that you would open your heart to jesus revelation 3 20 jesus said behold i stand at the door of your heart and knock if you hear my voice and if you open i'll come in and you'll be with me and i'll be with you and if you are that person if you're that person you want a new beginning say this simple prayer together with me lord jesus i open my heart to you come into my heart forgive me of my sins from today onwards i declare jesus you are the lord of my life i trust you i believe you and i know this is a new beginning for me thank you dear father set me free from habits lord that i'll be free thank you dear father in jesus name we pray and everybody said amen god bless you thank you once again pastors leaders for giving me this opportunity to preach god's precious word thank you pastor rajan for that powerful message such a timely reminder of us to us of missions praying and missions giving the admissions praying intensifies the work of the lord and we as a church let us continue not only to give but also to continue pray that when we pray many souls will be reached many things will happen even in our partnership with the churches we can see revival in the churches and let's continue to give unto the lord we might not be able to go now but you know missions continue in our missions praying in our missions giving across borders and next week we have opportunity to give so pray to the lord say god how much do you want me to give unto missions and let us be generous cheerful give us praise god so we're gonna have a a time of worship you know and even as this as we sing this song starting point of having a heart for missions is that place of prayer our inner prayer life may we learn how to pray fervently and catch god's heart for the lost and may our secret prayer life form the foundation of all our missions work and action amen how about you now what spoke to you from today's sermon i think that verse that said it is more blessed to give than you receive whatever god has blessed us with he asked us to be generous giver to those around us who are in need it reminds me that we're not supposed to hold on to the things that we have been provided we're supposed to give because it's part of god's plan in our lives amen thanks so much that before we close the day we have a very relevant and necessary talk on cyber safety for our children so if you're a parent who
