remember you god we want to thank you lord for who you are but also lord who you've made us to be god that you've given us all testimonies here of your great power and how you've worked in our hearts and our minds lord in our lives god you've weaved the bad and the good together lord to make all things new and so lord as we worship you to this morning god may you receive all the glory honor and with you in jesus name amen amen [Applause] hey second service what's up happy sunday to everyone is your morning starting off well so far okay that's a good start uh welcome to our first uh inaugural run at our remodel it's been quite a week yay god he multiplies efforts how many of you were here last sunday but haven't been here since last sunday let me see okay so you okay you walked in you see a little bit of a change or you haven't been here for a while and you come in and see quite the change um wow we've been busy so uh after third service last sunday we just got to it right we we closed with amen and uh had a donut with y'all and then after that we started tearing apart the stage out came the sawzalls and the saw you know everything the hammers and the ah and it's been quite the week the wall came down the flooring got done so we got as far as we could it's obviously still a work in progress the blinds are coming in monday the rest of the stuff will get hung and you know what we've got a beautiful area that we can worship our lord through song we've got an amazing location that we can learn of god through his word and we've got an amazing spot to enjoy some sweet fellowship with one another i mean those are the ingredients right that's all we need uh and we got it so to god be the glory we'll continue to be working on this welcome though to our um our new our new layout uh that will continue to come together as we go listen uh we got a very special day for you today you are going to be ever so blessed before we get into it i got a couple of announcements i want to run past you let's start with ladies your day event is now a week away next saturday is uh is the ladies summer day virtuous friendship is the theme for our day which as i've been announcing is oh so key we need virtuous friendships in our lives we're in uh very challenging times in many many in many many ways and uh to have a godly friend to come up alongside of you and and you to come up alongside of them is so key that's really what the goal of this day is for you ladies to come together growing your relationships with one another as you grow together in your relationship with the lord it's going to be a sweet and wonderful day it's next saturday from 9 00 a.m to 3 p.m cost of the event 25 that includes all of your materials and the teachings and the lunch and and everything that goes into it if the 25 is the only reason you're not going to come to this event do not let that stop you see me after service we have some scholarship money and we don't want that to stand in it is you or anyone that you know if it's your time today to take that next step in the public profession of your faith then we encourage you to take advantage of this day there is notice if if you are saved if you've accepted christ as your personal lord and savior and you've never been baptized there's absolutely zero reason to wait it is not a salvation issue should you die should you be before the lord uh even this day you you're you are not rejected because you weren't baptized yeah it is not a salvation issue so why do we do it because jesus a commanded us two he said go therefore make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the father son and the holy spirit he not only gave it as command but he modeled it for us that's how he began his public ministry and so if also if you have children it's a big decision you know is my child ready we know every little one wants to jump in that pool and be baptized i mean who wouldn't actually as a kid so much fun it's a swim party but is your child ready do they understand yes they may have said the sinner's prayer but do they really truly understand they need a true understanding in their heart before the baptism will be valid and and so uh um you know again hey i was a children's pastor for eight years i baptized over and over and over again so many kids uh because they thought that they were ready but you know so we we put together just some questions and an outline for you to kind of run your child through just to maybe get an indicator on are they ready yet or not quite yet uh so pick that up if you could use that we have those available out front if you are going to get baptized sign up on the sign up sheet we're going to be at someone's home in a pool we will have details on that in the next week or two and then all of you whether you're going to be baptized or not put this date on your calendar the time 4 30 in the in the afternoon we'll give you the details of where in the next week or are so many pieces involved and how important how key it is for us as believers to be able to to get a true understanding of our times and that and that's all been dictated and delivered to us through god's word prophetically 27 percent of the bible is prophecy it was an amazing conference one of the speakers pastor mike goulet is here with us to bring the word this morning now now pastor mike has been with behold israel since 2019 officially full-time he was with the ministry before that but he went on board full-time in 2019 before that he pastored a church in minnesota for over 17 years um he he he lived in and worked in israel for over eight years and i'm extremely jealous for that i just would die to be able to be in israel for an extended period of time i've been there numerous times but short term he is very proficient in hebrew he has extensive experience with with jewish culture he married an israeli woman and they have three precious children they reside in minnesota uh at this time and so that's about all i got you guys are gonna be blessed here this morning let's give a calvary red rock welcome for our dear brother pastor mike i am a little red in the eyes it's not because i'm tired it's not because i'm sad it's because the worship was so emotional for me uh this whole service has just been i mean i've never had tears come down my eyes like that i can't explain it to you i mean i've been to 36 37 countries i've spoken in i don't know hundreds of churches huge churches small churches everything in between old young interracial brazil europe all over the africa everywhere and i i honestly have never had an experience like i had today here i didn't see it coming i just i'm just sitting there a spirit of god just i want to steal your worship leader but god's like be careful because that's a selfish request so uh the point is that none of us are worthy if you listen to the content of these songs why you why me why why not someone else you look at your neighborhood could have been this person or that person why are you even here today you could have been in 14 other places you could have been sitting in a starbucks with your laptop just hanging out you could have slept in you could have gone somewhere else to another place could have went shopping but you're here is it because this is your routine is it because your spouse dragged you here is it because your mom or dad drug you here or is it because a friend said i'll meet you at church you got to come you chose to be here volitionally and my job is to take the word of god make it easy for you to understand and i'm going to make this promise and i'm going to enter into an agreement with you right now we're going to be talking about the lynch pin in prophecy if you listen to the whole teaching today i can promise you that your your your spectacles of prophecy will be absolutely clear you're going to have a foundation of confidence where you can look at any other prophecy and say that makes sense it's a tall order how many of you are going to remember when we used to go to movie theaters that were 3d and you'd be given those glasses with a little red thing on one side and the blue thing on the other not the new high-tech ones you know made of plastic whoa no i'm talking about the old ones remember those you're old enough to remember when you take those glasses off in the midst of the movie you remember how blurry and how crazy the screen would look for many people that's prophecy they're like i don't even want to watch that it just gives me a headache there's so many different views there's so many disagreements there's so many different different different doctrines surrounding the end times that i just i'm just going to stick with the basics christian formation fruit of the spirit i'm going to be a more patient guy today but as pastor said over 20 percent of the bible is prophetic and the prophecies are there as a confidence builder for you to be able to say the word of god has laser accurate surgical accuracy and right now if you were at the conference yesterday i made a case that we're in the end times empirically today i'm going to make a case that there is a linchpin in bible prophecy that if you get this right everything that you look at in the rest of the bible in terms of prophecy will be so much more clear and you'll have confidence to be able to not only understand it but teach it would it be cool if we blasted out of here like a cannon with shot all right in the face of the devil where we were all confident in the bible enough to even just teach bible prophecy to a friend in the coffee shop that would be my dream come come true after today so today uh in the mere hour that we have we're going to be looking at what the linchpin of prophecy is my buddy mike did a brake job on his car and in the left rear wheel he put the assembly together and there's a little linchpin otherwise known as a cotter pin that holds the nut in place that nut holds the entire wheel and hub so he forgot to put that in there he did everything perfect he tightened down the nut now he drove and you know because the knight was the nut was tight he was able to gain some ground but here he is on a major interstate and the left rear wheel comes flying off and his car hit the axle and it was chinese fireworks flying from the rear view mirror and he could feel it and he pulled over the whole hub was completely destroyed he forgot to put the linchpin in the linchpin is what keeps everything together and it's just a little itty-bitty wire or piece of metal that holds a wheel in place this is a primitive wheel the linchpin in biblical prophecy we're going to discover what it is because if you don't understand what this linchpin is you're gonna be confused and that 3d movie is going to be nothing but atrocious colors that give you a migraine headache i want to put those glasses on you and i want you to see the way the movie was designed that's what we're going to do this this uh this morning so i want to uh ask you this question there's a lot of talk about america is america in prophecy does america get destroyed is it relevant is is it really about the united states a lot of american pastors have been preaching nationalism and all of this stuff and i'm a nationalist believe me we'll get more into these topics later but america it's not the linchpin america is not the prophetic center-point hub of biblical prophecy wish it was maybe sometimes because i love america i'm american and i'm in the air force and i love our forces i love our airmen i love all the guys and gals that serve i love the great american experiment i love how our country was founded i believe in the documents i swore north to defend it with my own life but it's not about america as much as we would love to make it about america as much as we'd love to see a new world leader rise out of america that we love and believe in it's not about america some say hey europe's in the bible it's about europe europe's the linchpin if we understand what's going on europe you'll for sure understand bible prophecy yeah that might get us a little closer but even with europe whether it's whether it's yarco yokimiyas in finland or jurgen france in in germany or any of these people out there they're great people all these countries are great but europe is not the center of bible prophecy it's not the hub there was a time where the koreans believed the south koreans believe that they would be the ones to usher in the gospel to the nations and that's still believed by many south koreans and uh i hate to disappoint you but it's not the koreans either so this is the premise that i'm going to convince you of this morning hopefully if i do a good job i'm going to introduce you to a hebrew word it's called fisphus i got to teach you some hebrew after all we're behold israel god got to equip you with some hebrew phrases if you have an israeli friend and you use the word fistfuls to go oh you know what is the fistfuls uh this is very good well to use fistfuls is a screw-up it's a mess up um the the english vernacular would say something i couldn't say that word in church probably couldn't say it anywhere really um starts with an f and ends with a u uh uh uh you know okay you get the picture but the fist fuse is a safe way to say screw up it's not vulgar and uh the fist fuse the screw-up the the the botch job the error is two-fold if you take off the 3d glasses the migraine and all the colors are because of two things one because of replacement theology and two because of replacement theology it leads you to a false interpretation of matthew 24 because we make matthew 24 about the church and about us now i'm saying this as a filthy pig-eating gentile that's saved by grace that's why i'm bawling my brains out here is because i don't deserve this and if you're honest you don't either we are grafted into what the bible says is the olive tree romans 9 through 11 paul says you gentiles were grafted into the olive tree and the promises to israel in the original olive tree which still stands we didn't replace the olive tree we're grafted into the olive tree don't assume if you want to be non-believers god will cut off branches too there's a lot of fakes in church a lot of people come to church for various reasons maybe they're in love with love and not god maybe people maybe you come to church because you are loved maybe you come to church because it has the best coffee in town maybe you come to church because i have comfortable chairs maybe come to church because you're lonely maybe you come to church because you want to hear something challenging but you have no intentions of really following through it just makes you feel good for a time you know all of the serotonin and epinephrine flies in your head and you get that psychological experience but what what we're saying here is that in the fist fuse it's not about us it's not about the united states it's not about europe it's not about south korea it's not about any other nation it's not even about you as the church and i'm going to show that to you and i'm going to prove that to you momentarily if you don't get these two things right you're going to be confused you're going to be frustrated you're going to be walking around from different tribulation views and heck you might even be playing around with the millennial views themselves which we can get into uh this morning so that is the question is then what is the actual linchpin what is the hub what is the pin that hold things together before we delve into this let me just warn you replacement theology for those who don't know what it is is it says that the church replaces all of the prophecy and covenants of israel in other words if there's an unfulfilled prophecy yet to be fulfilled we allegorize that and we dress it up and we say the church fulfills that here's how bad it can get how many of you have been to the yad vashem museum in israel it's in jerusalem okay a few of you been to the yad vashem museum do you remember when the first exhibit that you go into it's how the nazis managed to get the populist to believe that the jews were the problem and they used churches they used community centers they used schools they used everything that they could to indoctrinate the entire country and it was replacement theology that said that the church replaces israel and israel is now in the doghouse god no longer has a covenant with them they messed up completely violating what paul warned in romans 9 through 11. and that's how christians so-called christians in nazi germany were able to embrace the aryan doctrine of evil and then you get to the modern era and matthew 24 people are thinking that the church will go through the tribulation and that the things that apply only to israel are for the church and then you're confused when you look at matthew 24 it says pray that your flight when the antichrist betrays you which he really betrays israel may not happen on the sabbath or he uses regions of israel literal and so if you go this way and make this fistfuls this screw-up your whole prophetical timeline becomes like a 3d movie without glasses once you put the glasses oh now i see i'm going to be putting those glasses on you today okay deal i'll make my case and we'll see what happens if it's not good enough i'm gonna hang around for the last few minutes and you can store me with whatever questions comments questions frustrations any anxieties that you have and we will discuss those first let's let's be empirical about this have you ever wondered you have your beliefs of the end times perhaps you're pre-millennial that means you believe that the second coming will happen just before the millennium and you may even be pre-tribulation which is the rapture occurring before the last seven years before jesus coming and you may be straight-laced but have you ever wondered what the jews think let's bring uh let's bring a jewish rabbi in here and let's go back in time in fact let's go back as far as the 8th and 6th century bc when a lot of the prophets were written and we have plenty of oral tradition written around those time periods that that were then captured in written form later that's what we call the talmud it consists of the gamarot and also the also the mishnah mishnah and gamarot make up the the talmuds there's many different versions of the talmuds and if you look into these writings which are basically the capsulization of oral tradition you will find that eschatology as you've defined earlier the study the last things is identical in almost nearly every way to the christian except for the timing of messiah in other words we believe jesus came the first time to rescue the world from sin and all those who believe in him become part of this entity called the church the jews don't recognize that they rejected jesus they are awaiting the kingdom return of their messiah and that eschaton is nearly identical in every single way to the christian belief for example during this time period and as the time period went it became corrupted and many rabbis had different interpretations so very similar to the church they believed that the end of the world would come one day and before that several things would take place they believed that god would redeem the jewish people from the captivity of babylon and create a new exodus where they would get their land back and in the future days they would have a king that they would rule and reign with forever and over the nations they believed that god would return the jewish people to the land of israel permanently they believed that the house of david would be restored there would be a temple rebuilt that there would be the messiah king ruling and reigning over israel they believed it they also believed that there would be an era of true justice and peace that would last for an undetermined period of time we know it's a thousand years based on revelation chapter 20. but it's identical if that's not enough all the nations would recognize during this millennial reign or this reign that israel and their god is the true god the nations and also if that's not enough the jews recognized that in the end days people would be raised up for judgment almost identical in every single way and if that's not enough they believed in a new heavens and a new earth in the distant future now i wish i had time to substantiate that claim my my case this morning is to give you a foundation of biblical prophecy that you're actually in good hands with the ancients that didn't even know jesus this is eighth and 6th century before christ and we say bce in israel if there are any jews here if you've decided to come and you're not a believer in jesus yes i'm talking about before the common era that's how jews refer to it because they don't believe in jesus so if you're speaking to jewish friends now you know a term i'm also equipping you along the path giving you some hebrew key words and giving you some conceptual things with dates because jews don't recognize christ as their messiah and jesus transformed culture including dates have you ever thought about that what year is it today 2021 but based on what 2021 based on what ano domino the year of our lord the calendars we use everything is based on the life of jesus now if you go to the jewish world they'll say ce common era that's what the world believes but since we want to conduct business we've got to agree on some timetable so we call it 2021. even though it's the 5 000 something the year and that's what they believe in their version interesting isn't it anyway not only was it the perspective of the ancient jews it was the perspective of the jews in the first century including the disciples themselves what was the perspective that israel was the linchpin in bible prophecy proof proof text i hate that phrase evidence text jesus went out and departed from the temple his disciples came up to show him the buildings of the temple full stop jesus you see what herod did look how beautiful the temple is see the surrounding perimeter wall this is pretty cool you know what was on their mind it's revealed later if you've read it it's obvious they were wondering when are you gonna take take charge we understand the whole sacrifice thing at least it's coming together for us now we didn't see that coming even though isaiah talked about it in chapter 52 and 53. we're getting that you're gonna are you gonna you're gonna you're gonna you're gonna restore the kingdom soon because we know that you're supposed to be the king jesus said to them do you not see all these things assuredly i say to you not one stone will be left here upon another that shall not be thrown down whoa whoa whoa jesus what does that mean you saying this this is going to be destroyed look now as he sat on the mount of olives the disciples they were disturbed so they came to him privately they came to the bible says privately jesus come here you know we heard you say that and since the crowds are here we don't want to make an issue out of this but did you say that this would be destroyed because you're supposed to be like the king he said okay disciples came to him and they said tell us when will these things be and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age a lot of people miss that when they read matthew 24 they are coming to him as disciples yes they understand the program of redemption reasonably but they're asking him as jews about their expectations of the messiah does that still stand and you go to acts and here it is again therefore this is after jesus had resurrected when they had come together they asked him saying lord will you at this time restore the kingdom to israel and he said to them it is not for you to know the times or seasons which the father has put in his own authority but for now i'm going to do something crazy you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you'll be my witnesses in jerusalem judy and sumerian all to all the other ends of the world i'm going to take the shechina glory that was residing in the temple where priests could die if they were reckless and i'm going to put that same glory my presence the spirit of god and i'm going to infuse him right inside your heart and he is going to be within you you will be the temple and you will be my witnesses and you will do things that i've done and they're like but they still believed that there would be a kingdom they still they still believed it in fact not only did they believe it and some people that misinterpret matthew 24 which we'll get into in a minute they saw that was filled in titus's day when he destroyed the temple yes and they say okay that was when the millennium began and the church has been growing ever since and then when the church grows big enough then jesus will come back and we'll have kind of a new heaven and a new earth if that's true then why did irenaeus polycarp the writer of the shepherd of hermes the writers of the didache which is the teachings of the twelve written in the 150s say that these things still have to happen in the future see a lot of the idiots sorry a lot of the misinformed people that we love are saying that the matthew 24 passage doesn't apply to the future it was fulfilled in just in those events that's not what the early church thought they're just not reading they're not reading books of the first and second century and so they they not only did the jews believe that this was to come even filthy pig eating gentiles and leaders around the known world in the 100s and 200s admitted this was the way it was going to go down as well now if you haven't figured it out yet israel is the linchpin in biblical prophecy and i'm speaking to you as a filthy pig-eating gentile i don't have an ounce of jewish blood i have british irish german and scandinavian blood only i did a dna test and i can prove it i also bought my brother-in-law amir a dna test and he was all worried because he's like what if i what if they find out that i have uh arab or muslim you know descendants in my life then we have to change behold israel to behold palestine and then we have to fire everybody because we have to hire a bunch of new crowd no he is well over 50 percent uh jewish from poland north africa and even italy can you believe that this stuff is real israel is the linchpin it's not about you and me it's not about how we feel it's not about taking matthew 24 and making it personal this was designed so that the apostles and those who were jewish representing the jewish questions to jesus could get clear answers about what would happen in the end times are you ready for the journey i'm going to take you as a tour guide through several facets did you know that the bible the bible predicts several things that are going to happen that we're seeing today and it's all related to the jewish people in israel and you'll be you'll be stunned to see later on that jesus curses a fig tree going up to jerusalem early or in the in about the middle section of matthew and all of those tree huggers out there are going crazy because that poor little fig tree did nothing wrong and then later he comes back to this teaching of the fig tree which we're going to look at so as your tour guide this morning i can't take you to israel but i can take you along the path of good biblical interpretation or at least get you thinking for the case that i'm about to make there's two points today the first point takes about three hours and i'm condensing it into 15 to 16 minutes and the second point is only 16 minutes which i'll condense into two and i'll count on you to watch some of our videos to write us personally and ask any questions or any concerns that you reveal in your personal study as we go along israel is the linchpin to understanding eschatology we'll demonstrate that over the next 30 minutes first of all did you know the bible predicts the holocaust and it starts with the holocaust in ezekiel as the end times beginning all the way to the end of the end times which is the millennium he starts with the holocaust in ezekiel 36 37 and then 38 39 he talks about an invasion of a coalition which is already set right now in syria let's walk through it in ezekiel chapter 37 the hand of the lord came upon me and brought me out in the spirit of the lord and sent me down in the midst of the valley and it was full of bones then he caused me to pass by them all around and behold there were many very many in the open valley and indeed they were very dry and he said to me son of man can these bones live so i answered oh lord you know he goes on prophesy to these bones and say to them oh dry bones hear the word of the lord thus says the lord god to these bones surely i will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live i will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you cover you with skin and put breath in you you shall live then you shall know that i am the lord we continue so i prophesied as i was commanded as i prophesied there was a noise and suddenly a rattling and the bones came together can you imagine this vision he saw bone to bone indeed as i looked the sinews and the flesh came upon them and the skins covered them over and there was no breath in them after world war ii the pictures of the allied forces captured the sheer evil and catastrophe of the jewish people that had been literally murdered dry bones packed up in valleys over and over again they found these throughout the continent of europe you can see them yourself many of you have it's a very moving very disturbing very front row seat display of absolute evil that humans can commit if they allow demons to move in and through them and i do believe it was demonic some would say yay hey this is just an allegory of their spiritual state well yeah at least but i say this is literal because if you take the following verses literally you can substantiate them in history literally why not go the full throttle of everything and just be mature about it and say everything was not only spiritual but also literal let's substantiate it further because we continue and he said to me prophesy to the breath prophesy son of man and say to the breath thus says the lord come from the four winds o breath and breathe on the slain that they may live so i prophesied as he commanded me and breath came into them and they lived and stood upon their feet an exceedingly great army the four winds in biblical language look into this in your personal study means that these people are coming from all over the world and not just from babylon where they would have been at the time of writing and not only is it the jews which were the last remaining tribe which was in exile judah the jews that's why we call them jews is because they are the last tribe judah the israel tribes of north of the northern kingdom were taken captive by assyrian 721 bc he's saying all israel wherever they've gone from the four winds of the earth this is beyond the babylonian exile and the persians letting judah go back only for a temporary period of time before they commit sin and they are taken over by different people groups ultimately rome which smashes them do you think that's the ultimate fulfillment of this that would be absolutely disappointing think we got to think we have to think it continues he said to me son of man these bones are the whole house of israel not just judah the whole house of israel how do we know who the israelis are even though they've intermarried with the assyrians as far back as 721 we know who they are god knows who they are and now we know who they are go take a dna test if you're questioning if you have jewish blood anyone even in the northern kingdom it'll show up in their dna profile did you know that it's nuts this is nuts this is crazy guys they indeed say our bones are dry our hope is lost that's what the holocaust survivor said they've told it to me straight to my face i've talked to so many oligarch survivors when i lived in israel will place you in your own land then you shall know that i the lord have spoken it and performed it says the lord in 1947 there are already several million jews within the land of israel immigrations began in the late 1800s theodore herzl who was a hungarian journalist warned the jews of europe there was going to be a great suffering coming a great persecution he predicted in the late 1800s he was shockingly correct ezekiel called it already as far back as the post-exile that you just read right here that the holocaust and dry bones would not only be a spiritual condition of israel but it would also be a literal physical condition and that they would literally come back to their own land in 1948 they were granted independence and they fought the first war of independence and pushed back five arab countries that were much more advanced they used junk parts from nazi holocaust the pilots were flying in actual nazi uniforms they were using czechoslovakian grease guns that they that they uh smuggled down from the european continent they fought at odds that were far beyond what any human has ever fought in any war in human history the pilots even though they were not believers in jesus or even believed in god they'd say i was led i couldn't explain it to you jews from new york one from saint paul minnesota they'd get behind an aircraft that was junk pieced together from all these parts and they would fly missions and they would defend the country against the all the enemies and they won their independence in 1948 may of 1948. it if that's not enough look at this he says i will take you from the nations gather you out of your all of your countries plural wherever the jews were whether in saint paul new york europe anywhere in the world bring you into your own land and i will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean i will cleanse you from your fullnes the filthiness of all your idols i will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you i will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh i'll put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statues and you will keep my judgments and do them then you will dwell in the land that i gave to your fathers you shall be my people and i'll be your god you'd expect if this is literal that a holocaust would occur that a return to the land would occur and that jews would come to faith you'd expect that right those are the three components that have been presented on the table if we're going to interpret this correctly you have to have all three every single year since israel's independence immigration continues to grow even to this day did you know and you wouldn't know this unless you had an eyewitness i am that eyewitness the filthy pig eating gentile is testifying today every single year that has gone by since israel's independence the church the body of jesus with jewish indigenous people israelis has increased to a point where we have no idea how many believers there are in that country right now when i lived in israel in the 90s both the mir and i knew all the believers and all of the the congregation leaders i asked him just a few months ago so do you know all the leaders now he said he laughed at my face he said of course not there's way too many the ultimate fulfillment of this by the way is when jesus will come back and set up his kingdom jesus said in matthew 24 there are signs that when you see the fig tree come back to life symbolizing israel you'll know that the tribulation is near and that the redemption of israel is close because they go through seven years and they'll look upon him whom they've pierced and mourn for him as one mourns for their only son zechariah chapter 12 10 and they will then say yes to their messiah and this will be completely fulfilled but it's already being fulfilled wake up wake up this is the times folks let's keep going because that's just the holocaust and the return of jews their homeland we haven't even begun to talk about this check this out while 1948 gave jews independence coincidentally there were all these scholars and all of these high education academic institutions saying the bible can't be trusted because the latest hebrew manuscripts that we have are from 700 a.d and on because of that we have no idea how many copies have been made how many transmissions and how many errors that go along with that and so textual criticism was at its peak in 1947 and 1948. 1947 while the jews were returning fulfilling ezekiel god says i'm going to do one more on you he allowed the jews to acquire back these scrolls called the dead sea scrolls all because of a bedouin shepherd that missed his sheep he climbed into a cave and he was shooting rocks in the cave trying to figure out which cave his little poor sheep went into and he heard a clunk he went up there and it turned out to be a scroll container containing manuscripts dating to the 3rd century bc textual critics were saying you can't trust the modern hebrew you know text so the israelis acquired these texts at the same time that they acquired the country and they took the masoretic texts dated around 700 a.d the isaiah scroll and they they unraveled the dead sea scroll dated to the third century bc the textual critics were like they were like they were like pooping over here oh i'm sorry that's my sense of humor and the the non-believing jews were like we will see let's uh let's see what if they're the same they were a spot on match a few spelling differences in a few grammatical differences with a thousand-year difference in time people secularists were were riveted of the accuracy of the copies i can tell you i can personally read the masoretic text and the dead sea scrolls i am telling you i'm telling you they are exact i can tell you i've read them and i have to pinch myself and say are these really from the 3rd century bc and non-believers have said that they absolutely are even though we don't want to believe it they are god is making it abundantly clear holocaust the children of israel returning not only just from the tribe of judah but from all of the world we have also the the bonus of the dead sea scrolls and we have jews coming to faith in israel today this is very personal because my new brother-in-law came to faith through a filthy pay getting gentle like me and he married my other sister-in-law they're coming out of the woodwork and it's going to continue i know i know this is crazy but we could stop there but i'm not i'm going to go all the way and then we're going to get into matthew 24 and i'm going to prove to you that it's not about us it's about israel and if you understand that then you can sit and read prophecy everything will make sense you can watch the 3d movie with the glasses that i just gave you the invasion of a coalition is predicted in ezekiel 38 and 39 did you know this is happening right now wake up look now the word of the lord came to me saying son out with all your army horses and horsemen all splendidly clothed the great company with bucklers and shields all of them handling swords persia iran ethiopia the hebrew word there is kush which means sudan and libya same place as today all of them with shield and helmet gomer and its troops in the house of togarmah that's eastern turkey from far north and all the troops many people are with you god is actually going to cause them to go out because their own will wants to do any wants to do this anyways these countries already exist in syria and have for some years russia iran and turkey all exist in syria hello if that's not enough turkey annexed libya to their territory hoping to find natural gas that israel found in the mediterranean which is enough to fund the entire natural gas needs of europe hello israel has the resources these countries want they want to bring back the ottoman empire for turkey they want to bring back the russian empire that they used to have for russia and of course the iranians want to usher in their eschatological sick play of the shiite version of the islamic end times and they need resources iran has one of the worst droughts they have no water russia is in trouble financially and turkey the lira is at its all-time low in their history right now that's not enough listen to this you son of man prophesy against gog and say thus says the lord god behold i'm against you gog which is russia the leader of russia the prince of hosh mishkan dual i will turn you around and lead you on bringing you up from the far north russia and bring you against the mountains of israel then i will knock the bow out of your left hand and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand and if you read on they're gonna invade four resources it'll be a time when israel is feeling secure and in the country which is right now israel can ward off any attack and have been for some time and these countries want their resources this war can only happen with a weak united states leader which is the ally of israel and it can only happen with the weak israeli government you have both of them right now i don't care if you're pro-trump or pro-abiding you have a weak leader in office that has a horrible international middle east policy doesn't want to get involved this is not enough if you're still not convinced i'm going to l i'm going to i'm going to put layers on all morning then i'm going to give you the matthew 24 gut punch okay erdogan putin and rouhani hold productive talks in syria and you're going to find the news plastered with these three groups they occupy syria and each of them have interests in the region and they're trying to find common interest so that when they take spoil they can divide them appropriately based upon each other's agenda and that spoil is israel and they will only attack if they know they can get away with it if they think they can get away with it when netanyahu was in power he was an iron fist but netanyahu would say you want to invade go ahead we'll reward you tenfold with the fury of the idf when trump was president he'd say to these guys you guys want to invade you're going to be dealing with me i'm going to send the best over we're going to knock your ass down to the ground that's the kind of talk a new yorker says the thing is he meant it and they knew it the rebuilding of the third temple there will be a third temple we see it thessalonians paul refers to it he says this is the temple that the antichrist will take his take worship in he's talking about the end times the church fathers talking about eschatology in the last days in the 100s refer to this passage more than any other passage whether it be irenaeus whether it be polycarp whether it be any of the other early church fathers in the 150s they talked about this passage so if matthew 24 was filled before before the 150s why are the guys in the 150s saying it's still to come that everybody trusted by the way irenaeus was the disciple of polycarp polycarp who discipled polycarp in the late late 90s early 100s john the apostle that wrote the revelation that's pretty good you know what i'm saying we know there's going to be a court and a temple in revelation he says before the judgment leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it for it has been given to the gentiles and they will tread the holy city under foot for 42 months three and a half years again antichrist in the seven year tribulation will take worship from the world at the temple and erect himself as god from that point on for three and a half years 42 months they will worship him and then jesus will say that's it that's it i'm coming back you imagine you want to see jesus back you don't want to be looking at him when he comes back you want to see his back because that's where we're going to be and he's destroys the world with his mouth he speaks a word and they forget nuclear missiles those are mamby pamby land nuclear missiles is like you know that's that's a good start the word of jesus think about that i can get excited this is what herod's temple looked like when the jews said jesus do you see look it look at how beautiful it is look you got the places for the worship and it's a holy of holies and there's plenty of space for gentiles and women yeah by the way everything you see not a single stone will be left and it's not for you to know the time or the hour of the end days but it's going to happen as you thought but for now i'm going to give you power now for the last 10 minutes we know there are some things to come yet for me i believe that the rapture is our next thing i believe that because that's what the early church believed and that's what the bible teaches i think i'm in good company i can demonstrate that i will be doing a video and a talk on our website on our youtube video it's going to be entitled the rapture according to the early church i'm going to substantiate the argument that the re the pre-trib rapture is in fact what the early church believed and it was corrupted in the third century and on and still to this day people are confused and watching 3d movies without glasses because they don't understand linchpin the peace deal daniel chapter 9 and this is chapter 9 verse 27. it's talking about the antichrist and it's talking about a peace deal which will initiate the first day of the tribulation period seven years he the antichrist will confirm a covenant with many in the nation of israel if you look at the context for one week one set of seven that's seven years i'll make sense of this in a minute but in the middle of the week 42 months in he'll bring an end to sacrifice and offering and the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate even until the consummation which is determined is poured out on the desolate these days are determined they were prophetic they were forecast thousands of years ago and you're about to see the world is about to see them shake down shortly we'll be out of here if you're a believer that's another thing the early church said those who those who are worthy will be raptured it's a phrase they keep using in these writings and i'm like wow worthy what they mean is those who have said yes to the gospel and entered into that original axiom that i was referring to earlier where you say yes to the gift of god and god has called you and that is a miracle that's got to be something why you're here today i can't just believe that you just you just parachuted in from the side just to come to church because that's the thing to do and if you did maybe you didn't realize what was going to hit you between the the eyes this morning i'm the guest speaker and i can say these things as i leave now you get to pastor to guide you through the process and he has all of the intel let's come back to the fig tree matthew 21 as the morning he returned to the city he was hungry and seeing a fig tree by the road he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves and said to it let no fruit grow on you ever again immediately the fig tree withered away and of course the apostles were whoa all of the lefty tree huggers would be very disturbed oh jesus is brutal look it would have been enough for him to curse it but then he literally cursed it and put put it in a place where it died i always wondered why at the end of the olivet discourse he comes back to the illustration of the fig tree now let me go back because i am getting ahead of myself he gets up to the city he overturns the money changers and some say he lost his temper he was a righteous anger then that's not enough he calls the pharisees and the sadducees brood of vipers in hebrew betsy no hashem eggs like you've ever seen alien the movie those like it's like eggs that are hatching these things sucks on your i mean he's calling them really in the hebrew language he's calling them a bunch of cockroaches a bunch of slugs bloodsuckers it's a known rabbinical term for the reprobates he says it's straight to their face he looks at the temple not stone not one stone's going to be left on another the fig tree is cursed and then he goes up and he says leaders you're not bearing fruit temple worship you're not bearing fruit and there is nothing in this temple that's bearing any eternal fruit and it is not glorifying the lord in heaven and i therefore i'm going to put an end to it i'm going to allow the nation of rome to completely destroy it in 70 a.d the fig tree was not working and god cursed poor leadership and bad bad country at the time and then he comes back and says this learn this parable from the frig fig tree because he cursed it and in 70 a.d not one stone was left upon another 70 a.d when the when its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves you know that summer is near so also when you see these things know that it is near at the doors assuredly i say to you this generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away that's a key phrase because he knew that this would be written down by matthew this would be read by future generations of church people that understand israel as the linchpin and they would say the generation that sees israel come back as to life as we've defined by ezekiel will be the generation that will see the rapture and those who are still on the earth that have a chance to read this will see the events shake down primarily the jews a jewish person can pick up the gospel of matthew in the middle of the tribulation and see this and that will be the seed now if that's not enough right now as it stands israel is very strong and in the land they can ward off anything militarily they have one of the top dairy industries top textile top pharmaceutical they have gas they even have oil they have so much tech and if that's not enough they have very gifted people i feel like an idiot surrounded by geniuses every time i go there i'm going to close with this this is the gut punch if you have been daydreaming all morning from what we've been saying here is something that you cannot miss daniel's prophecy is for jerusalem in israel it's not for the united states it's not for europe it's not for korea listen to this 70 weeks are determined for your people in your holy city to finish the transgression to make an end of sins to make reconciliation for iniquity those have been accomplished at the first coming to bring reconciliation for iniquity to bring in everlasting righteousness to seal vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy that will happen at the end of the tribulation he predicts 77s that's 490 years so far 483 years have happened and we're still waiting for that last set of seven which will accomplish the last three objectives we continue know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the command to restore and rebuild jerusalem that was 445 bc under arya xerxes longimanus of per of uh of persia until messiah the prince that's his first coming there shall be seven weeks that's seven sets of seven 79 years and then the remainder of the time until the messiah there will be 483 years that's that's basically 69 times seven he says the street will be built again in the wall even in trouble sometimes that's nehemiah's time not to confuse you after the 62 weeks you've got the 7 and then the 62 after that messiah will be cut off but not for himself he's going to do it for you and the jewish people to end transgression and sin and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and sanctuary that's the people of the prince that's the romans the people the roman empire never ended it just morphed into different different people groups and different territories and there will be another prince that is to come it says the people of the prince shall destroy the sanctuary not the prince people of the prince who is to come and the end of it shall be with a flood until the end of the war desolations are determined then we go on he the prince will confirm a covenant with many for one week one set of seven that's yet to come in the middle of the week he'll bring an end to sacrifice and offering and on the wing of abomination shall be one who makes desolate even until the consummation which is determined is poured out on the desolate to review daniel is saying 77s or 70 weeks 490 years are determined to accomplish this the first set of seven which is for 49 years is for the rebuilding of jerusalem right after the decree in 445 bc and if you count 1 000 173 880 days which is basically the amount of time 483 years in the jewish lunar calendar is that many days to make it simple until messiah you should be able to calculate the first coming from 445 bc and you count that many days forward is precisely the year and the the the spring of when jesus rode in on passover and was crucified we still have seven years left no one really could see the church era the early church believed that they were in the last days they just didn't know the times or the seasons neither did the jews but we do know what's going to happen in the end times the bible teaches a pre-trib rapture as do does the early church so we're waiting for the rapture to occur but when you the generation see the fig tree come to life you know the tribulation's not far and if that's the case the rapture is like literally around the corner that's the first thing that happens within that seven years antichrist will make a peace deal there will be a huge exchange of right and wrong and wrong is right the antichrist will be worshipped halfway through and the last 43 months 42 months we'll be living hell on earth then the second coming millennium new heaven and new earth that's my first point for the morning but i want to just come here remember the second point only takes a minute let me give you a dose of matthew 24 because your homework assignment is to read matthew 24 and 25 in one sitting look what jesus says therefore when you see the abomination of desolation the that's the generation that sees the fig tree come back to life hello if you're not a believer and you're jewish you're gonna see this therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken by daniel the prophet standing in the holy place whoever whoever reads let him understand that is whoever would read this in the future it actually puts that in parentheses to make it clear that this was written as a prediction of the generation that would come across this in the future hello then let those who are in judea flee to the mountains those are jews that's israel they're there now they weren't uh before the late 1800s let him who was in the housetop the people have housetops in israel that's where the cool in the evening we don't understand that maybe you do in las vegas but we don't understand that in minnesota i can tell you that we're like underneath the roof and let him who is in the field not go back and get us close but woe to those who are pregnant and those who are nursing babies in those days and pray that your flight may not be in winter where it's nice and cold in israel or on the sabbath as jews 15 to 22 for then there will be great tribulation when the when the abomination of desolation occurs halfway in the tribulation such has not been since the beginning of the world until this time nor shall ever be and unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved but for the sake of the elect the elect that is god's elect israel it's not about you or me those days will be shortened irenaeus quotes this in against heresies book 5 chapter 29 section 1 irenaeus lived in 150 a.d and he says that the church will be out before the tribulation period and he references this verse all right israel is the linchpin for god's promises to you if israel said you're the new israel because israel failed well what if you fail if israel if god doesn't keep his promises with israel that means he's not an undependable god so now i'm going to make it personal i don't know what you're going through i don't know what your struggles are i don't know what you're up against i don't know if it's financial relational physical i don't know you're here for a reason today and i'm here to tell you god meant every word he said pertaining to israel and he is accomplishing it right now and he's doing it effortlessly because he's god every single world leader is playing into the inevitability of the fulfillment of scripture where are you at with jesus if you know that god means business and you know that his word will not change and you know he's dependable and there's nothing you could do to screw it up now is the time to say jesus take my soul and i submit because you know way better than i do let's all stand and and do that and then i'm going to turn it over to the pastor and we'll have a last song will you morning lord jesus i'm asking that you would show me what your plan is for my life right now even as a believer me father a clear vision for you um wow i mean i could just sit for hours and hours and hours and soak it up i i don't know about you guys but i feel a completion that takes place when i'm studying or hearing prophecy you know there's so many different genres they're called of the bible we can study historical context we can study uh poetry we can study epistles pastoral epistles uh there's there's many different uh uh genres of study in the bible but without prophecy it is not complete and the only way we're going to understand our times the element that we are in right now the landscape that is right before us that is unfolding daily is to spend that time studying prophetically and that's why i personally am so grateful for behold israel i have learned so much from this ministry i've been following them for a number of years and uh and they never disappoint they they bring it um okay so pastor mike said your homework is to read uh matthew 24 and 25 and i'll even add a little bit more uh to your homework uh we just studied we just finished the gospel of matthew uh just a few weeks ago we're in the book of acts now and it was just a few months ago that uh that we went through the olivet discourse matthew 24 and 25 we took six weeks verse by verse to break it down those are archived on our website you guys can go there and as you're reading uh go through and and uh and i and i broke it down to the best of my ability because our our proper contextual understanding of the olivet discourse is extremely key there is so much wobbliness that takes place within the body of christ because of their misunderstanding of of the context of the end times narcissism is a huge part of it it is not about us you know when i opened up my series there or my six weeks on the elevate discourse i began with laying out eight rules of the study of eschatology eight lenses that we need to view when you're studying end times there's some important pivot points that you need to gravitate to in order to keep the lens right because and i love the title of the message the linchpin because if not the linchpin's out and it and it wobbles out and we see it all over the place from church leaders teaching it that way i mean for crying out loud only five percent of the church in today's age is teaching the word of god let alone prophecy in its proper context it's really important for us to get this and to
