The Last Things I Pack in Carry-On Bags

hey there today i'm going to share with you the last few things that i pack in my carry-on bags if you're traveling in 2021 these are travel essentials that you do not want to forget one of the last things that i pack in my carry-on bags is my phone charger that's going to be in my electronic travel case one travel tip i remembered at our airbnb was that when i'm packing my apple watch bands and my travel case for it i need to remember that this usb plug does not fit into a regular outlet an electrical outlet in your hotel room maybe and you need to have that plug that goes with it or that cube that would go with it so since i did not bring my cube i could use my phone charger if that helps during the pandemic the transportation security administration came out with a new rule that they do not want your belts to be in the gray bin anymore they want you to keep those in your personal item bag or your carry-on suitcase and a lot of you have asked me about jewelry the tsa screener could go off if you have big bulky jewelry your wedding bands your apple watch even a thin necklace or lightweight earrings are okay to wear through regular airport security a lot of you know from my other video that i have an apple watch charging travel case and that is another place that i can pack my apple watch bands you can put them around but to me it's a little bulky so i would just recommend that you keep your apple watch bands inside your cord organizer or even a plastic baggie for travel and then when you get to your destination you can use it only for your airpods case to charge or to charge your apple watch at night another thing i pack at the last minute is my makeup brush holder it has little slots for makeup brush organization but it has quite a big pocket for your brushes this makeup brush organizer can fit in between some compression cubes or squoosh a little bit in between some clothes in your carry-on suitcase if you need it to when you get to your destination you just unzip it you can fold this flap down and it sits securely on your hotel room counter so you don't have to worry about your brushes touching the counter but it also keeps them all in one place if this video that'll be good for you one travel essential i wish i would have packed on my last trip was dry shampoo this is my favorite dry shampoo because it does not have a strong smell and i will link it if i can find it in the description box and then i also check the weather again right before i go to see if i can pack like a fun cute skirt that can be worn with like a graphic tee or a solid navy t-shirt one day i can wear it with some sneakers maybe or some flip-flops and then into a nice restaurant i can wear it with some nicer travel shoes that i've packed patterns are great because they don't look dirty or wrinkled and they also can go with multiple tops another item that i packed last minute is my erase your face cloth it uses no soap i found this in the dsw checkout line another brand that is very similar is this makeup eraser and it comes in a set of seven circular small ones so you can use like one a day and then it also comes with this great pouch for travel which i recommend hey there i wanted to jump in here and remind you of one last thing to pack in your carry-on bag before you travel and that is a screenshot of your ticket i don't mean to take a picture of your ticket that you've printed out i want you to download the app of your airline and then you'll check in with your email confirmation code on your phone and then when that that barcode section pops up i want you to take a screenshot of it that way it will be in your photos section when you're in the security line you don't have to go to the app and find your ticket with the confirmation number and be all stressed and in a hurry you just go to your photos and pop that up and they will let you right in airlines really want you to use that app because it takes care of not touching things so when you get to your boarding area you want to go to your app and then just swipe down to make it refresh and then it will tell you your actual seat assignment if that helps or if it's a new gate you'll know that and you won't have to be relying on the screen or the obnoxiously loud microphones over all of the people who are getting to travel again i also make sure that i have packed a crossbody bag or a purse that can match with everything that i wear i want one that is casual but can look dressy if i want it to if i'm going to a nicer restaurant and do not forget that you want a purse that can fit your sunglasses case and maybe your reading glasses case i have a massive vacation outfits idea list for you in a video that i'll link below too and for the men in your life remember that going through the tsa line they do not want their wallets to be put in the gray bin anymore as well i am thrilled that a lot of you feel safe to travel again we flew about 10 times over the pandemic and the airlines and the airports businesses restaurants are doing such a fantastic job of keeping you clean or safe but there are now many people who feel safe to travel again so the tsa lines are going to be longer there might be fewer employees still in the tsa line so those lines will back up you may have long delays airlines are not flying at their full capacity again so they might have a bunch of flights in the morning and then if you miss your flight or if it is canceled for a mechanical reason you may not get to fly until late that night so be prepared for a long layover i know my friend arlene asked what do i do in the atlanta airport with a five hour layover well i just discovered minute suites and i'll link my video that i made for them down below they are many private suites that you rent for an hour or more so just check that out if that interests you airports are freezing in the summer much like my church don't forget to pack at the last minute that sweatshirt jacket or cardigan several of you have asked me to make a video about your rights as a passenger and i do not have any experience with that because we're just a standby family i'm a houston pilot wife and i share tips to help people travel the globe without a worry in the world but i don't know all the airline rules and what your rights are as passengers so arm yourself by googling your you're inside the airplane you're going to need to fill out a customs form and having your own pen ensures that you're the only one who's touched that pin one thing i forgot to pack for my latest trip was my vitamins so i also recommend that you keep your pill box or whatever medication pouch that you have to travel with near your personal item bag and pack that the last minute i keep multiples of my electronic cords in my travel bag or travel organizer so that i don't forget the cords that are in the wall at home for my devices at home my mom was with me for my latest trip and she messaged me before and said do not let me forget my cpap machine on our little road trip to waco texas you need to know that a travel cpap machine does not count as a carry on to the airline or to the tsa if there is one last thing you want to pack in your carry-on and you are worried about whether the airport security will allow it you can download the my tsa app it's free you ask them a question about your persnickety item and they will answer you back you can also go to tsa.gov and call them which i have done they answer during the week mostly but they will answer you i hope you have a great time
