The Last of Us Performs GREAT on Steam Deck | FSR 3 Frame Gen Mod by LukeFZ | SteamOS 3.5.7

hey everyone solid here welcome back here with L of us running on Steam deck steam o 357 with FSA 3 mod by Luke FZ and this is very interesting especially for steam deck CU about 9 month ago I made a video of this game and it was running not too well at that time which was on average 20 FPS pretty bad right and I never thought after some optimization of the game it could hit Beyond um 30 to 30 5 FPS on Steam deck but look at it now it is literally hitting 60 FPS right now it's pretty great this type of progress is truly um promising for steam de and handels hold on daddy I'm scared keep your eyes closed honey you can see the comparison right now on the right side it's the old footage I made when the game released and on the left side it's running with the mod and that difference is pretty huge we're going to get out of this I promise here's my perff stab looks like I'll show my in-game settings and mod installation in a bit since the mod is still in beta there is a minor issue it's the UI flicker here you can see the subtitles are flickering a little which honestly doesn't bother me that much since this game already has very minimal UI and pretty much a cinematic experience um but I'm positive that this will be fixed pretty soon with the new updates of the mod he's dead God damn it we're almost there we're almost right now during making this video the latest release of the mod is version 0.9.0 so it's pretty close to stable release and it will be free by then but um if you want to get this early beta versions you have to go to the mod patreon page and subscribe there uh to support them you'll find the link in the description box and also there are leak version floating around the web so there's that okay let's go and show you how to install the mod all right after you get it extract it and you'll get all these folders for the last of us all we need is this one called FSA 2 FSR 3 212 open this folder and copy all these files go to The Last of Us installation directory and just paste it here I've already done it so I'll skip now um go back to the 212 folder open optional nvng GX folder copy the nvng gx. dll and also paste it to The Last of Us directory again I have already done it so I'll skip now go to the game properties from Steam and we have to write this command here you can find it in the description box just copy and paste it here from compatibility select proton experimental and that's all now let's run the game and I'll show you my in-game settings from there here you can see see the CMD window is popping up it means the mod is in function also if it helps please consider putting a like and maybe subscribe here in settings keep vcnc turned off and frame cap unlocked the scaling mode you have to select Nvidia dlss here cuz the mod just replaced it as FSR 3 so just select Nvidia dlss and here's the graphics preset set to Auto which basically is at low you can see the rest all right let's go to the game play from gaming mode
