of Sistar like eight years ago seven years ago they were one of the biggest girl K-pop groups like maybe second gen 2020 and 2021 was a rough year for K-pop scandals one of the biggest this is one of the biggest K-pop scandals to date because of how incredibly detailed how extreme intense just the the sheer breath of this freaking Scandal I don't even know how to describe it it literally doesn't even feel real there are Instagram posts expose style that were uploaded leaked transcripts dispatch got involved text messages between two members of one of the biggest K-pop girl groups of all time were released it was an utter show and like scandals in Korea don't really happen like this you know scandals happen where maybe a celebrity is alleged of doing something or maybe they cheated on someone or they're dating it's a scandal and they put out these very polished agency-led statements this Scandal was unfolding online like drama drama there were new updates all the time it was just straight drama and the tides just kept turning one point one person is good one person is the victim one person is the perpetrator and then it was a little storm and then people started switching sides and I think that this is the Scandal that changed K-pop forever or at least I hope it does just in terms of how people react when they hear allegations of abuse so let's talk about AOA in 2012 a new girl group debuted at a huge K-pop weekly concert called music Bank this gets aired I believe every single Friday even to this day but it's just really great exposure it's kind of like Inky guile where you have these massive names massive K-pop groups come they they're dancing they're having all of these sets and then who called themselves a away or Ace of angels they perform their debut song at music Bank in 2012. unfortunately not that many people cared and that's not to say that they were talentless or that they weren't good at what they were doing it's just hard to make it and in just a few years they would become one of the biggest names in the industry K-pop is cut throughout though the industry is not very welcoming to newcomers especially because AOA wasn't even a group produced by one of the big three at the time so now it's the big four but back then it was s-m-y-g-jyp they were produced by a much much smaller agency called fnc so they come out they debut they didn't really do great and even afterwards you know there were members that kept dropping out of AOA at first it was eight members then it became five and then it came down to four but fnc just kept pushing forward they said no even though they didn't do that great we still want AOA to make a comeback they do they get their second single out it did way better than their first it wasn't until 2013 that they released a song called Boya and they had a bit of a breakthrough and interestingly you know how in Kpop people release dance practice videos to their song they called it the eye contact version their dance practice music video was them making eye contact while they were dancing with the camera and I don't know people really liked it 2014 to 2015 though that was their freaking year they were one of the hottest girl groups in the entire industry they were head to head with the biggest names like Sistar maybe not big bang but Sistar and all these other groups they did these Concepts they had a song called mini skirt a song called short hair their music video for short hair ranked eight on Billboard's most viewed K-Pop videos around the world at the time wow so yeah but I think like a cat that sound like a cat was like the symbol of their Peak it was ranked one on all the charts daily even in Japan for God knows how long they're freaking killing it and then they start a social media reality show and they had one of their first big scandals as a group and it wasn't even Collective so there were two members and all of the members were split up into different rooms in their dorms it was just like a cute little YouTube show basically and it was 10 minutes 10 episodes long and they had this little segment where they would all guess a famous person whose picture would show up on the screen guess the name yeah I guess the name this is like a thing a lot of K-pop Idols do I I just saw BTS do one okay so that you guessed the name of the famous person when it comes time people sometimes it's singers actors politicians sometimes it's historical figures and that's where it gets really tricky so they showed a picture of a very famous Korean activist by the name of anjungun and he's uh most well known for assassinating Japan's prime minister before Korea was annexed from Japan this is like 1901 maybe or something like that so needless to say massive part of Korean history he's a huge deal in Korean history they didn't know who he was which I think that part maybe could have been okay like I'm sure people would take Digs at them like oh my God they're so uneducated like you didn't take a history class but they were kind of joking about who he could be they're like maybe that's so and so son you know and it's just I understand why they might have done that like people really did not like it though okay maybe they were trying to make the segment more entertaining maybe they were poking fun at the fact that they have no idea who this person is who clearly is important if it's showing if they're showing up on their screen it just wasn't received well they released a formal apology and it just was embarrassing because one of the members torian was an ambassador for the Korean tourism board and people were like you cannot be serious how can you be an ambassador for the country's tourism board if you don't know one of the most important people of Korean history so I'm not a Korean citizen I don't know if I can really have a say in this but it was just bad but this is one of their very first massive scandals and slowly people start leaving the group the longer that they were active the members contracts with fnc entertainment were coming to a close some members chose to not renew which resulted in AOA continuing with less and less members and eventually they would be at the center of one of the biggest K-pop scandals to date maybe one of the biggest bullying scandals to date to come out of South Korea and it will revolve around two members Mina and chimin so her name is Shinji Minh not to be confused with timin from BTS but she is the leader of the group chimin is the leader and then you have Mina Who is younger than tiemin this is important so let's get into how it all unfolds in 2019 the remaining members of AOA re-contracted with the agency fnc Mina decided not to be a member of AOA anymore she's like it's been 10 long years I'm Gonna Leave the band oh it's been 10 years yeah they've been around for like 10 years and Mina's like I'm gonna just like take a different career path I don't think that this is what I want to do anymore she said that she was going to pursue acting instead and a lot of her fans you know they're sad to see her go because they love AOA This Is How They imagine AOA but at the same time it's like well we want to support you we want to support whatever you've got planned we want to support your acting dreams now mind you AOA is still massive at this point in 2019. so it's not like this group had gone so old and everyone was like ill just quit already like you're embarrassing you're trying to be relevant they are like still doing really really well so everyone's like okay she left a away but it's fine the rest of the group I'm excited to see what kind of music they put out and you know they're still in the spotlight maybe they haven't even reached their real peak maybe they're gonna peek again in 2020 a series of explosive allegations were made on Instagram side note I was not too familiar with AOA I heard of them I never closely followed them so with this Scandal I heard of it while it was unfolding I never did any Deep dive into it I never got emotionally involved as a viewer so a lot of this is told from hindsight and hindsight research but just know at the time when this was unfolding there was a Public Enemy Number One okay that makes sense so former AOA member Mina starts posting some cryptic things on Instagram she leaves the band 2020 she starts posting on Instagram you post on Instagram I have to be careful because there are a lot of dangerous people in this world it was strange but fans weren't necessarily freaking out over it like it was a bit weird in cryptic but I mean come on it's not like the most alarming thing that we see on a day-to-day basis now going forward there's gonna be a huge huge content warning they're going to be heavy conversations going forward so if that is something that is hard for you please come back and listen to another video a new one go watch some TV enjoy the rest of your day I love you I think you should sit this one out a few days after the cryptic caption Mina posts a picture of what looks like a diary the main focus of the picture is like this open journal and she's almost holding it open and you can see the inside of her wrist and the wrist is not the center of the photo it's at the very bottom almost cut off by the edge of the photo it's her diary that takes up most of the picture but everyone was focused on her wrist you could clearly see scars on her wrist that looked very much like so maintenance fans they start getting really worried there's countless comments asking you know is she okay they're reaching out to her via DMS in the comments and Mina never responds nor does she explain this picture so to her fans and to the press the question of like what happened to her wrist is constantly circulating she just moves on doesn't talk about it ever again never addresses it and I guess as time passes even the people and the fans their concerns they start fading now not too long after that it was revealed that Mina's beloved dog and grandmother passed away almost back to back I mean this is clearly gonna take a huge toll on anyone but especially on someone that already seemingly is struggling with their mental health so fans were worrying and they're going back to checking up on her like are you okay are you sure you're okay I know that you're in a tough spot like everything going on like are you sure there were words of encouragement and support and love and Mina posted I'm normally not the type of person who is hurt by bad comments but these days I'm really having a tough time so please don't do this anymore her fans were kind of confused and upset like seriously netizens are leaving our hate comments right now after everything that she's been through after everything that she's posted are you serious is pretty obvious that Mina was going through a lot and add to that like you know how when one thing goes wrong and that everything goes wrong that's kind of what was going on for mina mina revealed that she had won this free Dermatology procedure at some random Skin Clinic she like wanted in a raffle she goes she gets a facial done and it ends up giving her contact dermatitis which is it was causing her to break out everywhere she had rashes she had to pause all her schedules all her projects which backed her up on schedules I mean it was a lot it was a lot of pressure from the industry she had to stay home which isn't great to just sit around and think about everything that's going on so people at the time they're super worried about Mina but I don't think anyone guessed where this was gonna go because mid-2020 Mina starts breaking down on social media it's clear that she's kind of having a mental break of sorts she has a series of very very long posts that are incredibly lengthy going into extreme details about her private life her current mental state and how she was bullied by one of the AOA members before she quit she said for the whole 10 years of training debuting and being part of AOA one of the most well-known most popular girl groups she was being heavily bullied behind the scenes like every day she was being bullied imagine how explosive this news is going to be and it's coming out of her mouth I think that's what made this Scandal so different too typically scandals they're alleged or people saw or there's pictures that were taken and then agencies are responding but she was posting she was writing it so she alleged that she was a victim of bullying some context to add Mina has three older undies in AOA and she wasn't that much younger but you know on these in Korean culture you just know even a year older you have to call them a knee and there's like this level of respect that needs to be shown so Mina is alleging one of the three Unis in AOA had bullied her extensively while she was part of that group oh so now people are like trying to guess which one yes so in the beginning she never mentions the bully on these Name by name but it's pretty easy to tell that she's talking about teaming the leader of AOA she'll later start just straight up using jimin's name in The Post is she still in AOA oh yeah jimin is still in AOA oh yeah so the post she wrote are really long and quite repetitive so I'm just going to summarize the important parts Mina said that the big reason she joined AOA despite the stressful schedules and the drawbacks that come with Fame and lack of privacy she said that she joined to make money for her family who wasn't doing well financially and like yeah there are a lot of harder ways to make money that are worse than being an idol but she said there were just a lot of things of being an idol she never expected like she understands hard work hours no social life no privacy she gets that but Mina said one of the biggest traumas was her dad was sick really really sick the doctor said that he was going to pass away it was terminal cancer and Mina said that she just remembered the bully on me dragging her into the lobby from the practice room saying don't cry in the practice room you're messing up the atmosphere she said she tried telling the only like I understand and normally I agree but look my dad is dying right now okay like I'm scared I'm upset I don't know what to do I'm sad I'm a mess like my dad is dying in the hospital she said the bullionity did not care Mina said because of this on me and how heartless she was and how evil she was Mina starts struggling she starts struggling mentally she feels like she has to keep up with her busy schedule meanwhile she is expecting the inevitable loss of her dad she started taking sleeping pills and tranquilizers not to only fall asleep at night but to even have the strength to be around this bully only throughout the schedules she said it was painful to be around this person it was like tormenting her so why didn't she quit Mina says I have to take care of my mom like no matter how hard it was I still love my job I still love my other band mates I still love my fans and I want to take care of my mom the reason that I quit and didn't renew my contract in 2019 was because something really strange happened demeanor explains the bully on his father passed away this is how everyone knew that it was chimin out of the three on these only her father passed away in 2019. so it's pretty easy to tell who it was now Mina's dad passed away remember so at 2019 she could relate to the bully on me and she said that it was strange Mina remembers going to the funeral and seeing the bully on me and the bully on me was crying and apologizing to her and Mina said all of that resentment that she felt and that she had harbored in her heart for 10 years of being bullied by this woman they just kind of went away but she still had to quit AOA and she says yeah it would have been easier for me to be an AOA I'm scared about the future of my career who knows if acting's gonna go well who knows but I'm gonna get therapy treat my depression and my panic disorders and I don't know a lot of things have happened since I tried to break off from AOA probably referring to her dog her grandmother and the dermatitis now there is an end part to the post which is kind of confusing but you can tell that Mina is just not in a great headspace she says honestly I'm very exhausted netizens the people of the internet are saying that they don't know who the I am but I also don't know who I am and what I'm doing right now I don't want to see or hear everything is just noise I was born not because I wanted to be born right now I can't control myself and I'm just living for my mom I don't care if you guys think I'm a good person or not I don't need your attention so please just leave me alone everything is my fault so just leave me alone it was it was a lot it kind of sounded like Mina was in the middle of a mental breakdown and nobody was questioning the validity of her story right now but she just she sounded like she wasn't in a good headspace but soon after she posts again on Instagram and she writes why did I write about the AOA bullying on me Mina goes on to open about what it was like to lose her dad watching her own dad dwindle down to nothing but Skin and Bones she wrote about how her dad was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer which by the way pancreatic cancer in Korea is called the silent killer The Five-Year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is only about 1.9 percent the median survival rate for all other cancers is near 23 percent oh my God so in Korea they call it the silent murder but she talked about how she was still doing AOA and her personal small acting jobs on the side while her dad is sick and just dwindling down to nothing just Skin and Bones she remembers juggling so much on her plate while pretending to be happy in front of everyone in front of the cameras but when she was done with work she would go visit her dad he couldn't even talk and she just couldn't stop bawling she would just cry all day but jimin the leader of the bully on me kept calling her asking everyone to call her to yell at her for being late to her schedule not being on time not being on point Mina said that she was just so scared to cry in front of the bully on me because she was so scared that she would be cussed out for crying Mina said even then I thought the bully on me was right you know I was young I thought maybe maybe it doesn't matter if your parent is dying like you have a schedule I was so busy and so terrified of the bully on me and I didn't cancel a thing I went to every single schedule an appointment she said that her dad eventually passed away and he wrote in a Sketchbook with his shaky handwriting whereas my daughter she said that she couldn't see him all the time because of her schedule now why is this relevant she said she brings this up because the bully on this father recently passed away in 2019. Mina alleged in this Instagram post that chimin rescheduled all of her schedules rescheduled all of her obligations and tiemin's dad was even given a special room in the hospital that was funded by their agency like a private room and it made her so sad it made her realize no that's not what happens when your father dies how dare you treat me like that when my father was dying and now that your father is dying you want everyone to treat you and reschedule everything you want to put everything on pause she said she remembered Chi Minh telling her to be professional when she was crying over the loss of her father she said she mean told her to get over her father's death and it's annoying that the rest of the group members have to luchiba like be sensitive around Mina's emotions Mina said she couldn't forget all these things that chiman only had said to her and even now years later whenever she thinks of what happened all she can do is shove pills down her throat to try and forget about it long story short Mina said that jimin harassed her bullied her for 10 years and Mina wasn't even allowed to see her own father when he was on his deathbed because Chi Minh told her to suck it up and be professional Mina said that's when she felt so torn on one hand she related to teamin on what it's like to lose her father and she wanted to be there for her like human to human but on the other hand it just made her so so angry people lost their minds after this Instagram post the allegations coming out are really really bad it makes chimin sound heartless cruel I mean just like where is the humanity really but this is where humans naturally are not perfect even though a lot of people had the thought of like wait let's wait for Tim inside they already felt all these emotions for Mina so everything and anything jimin would say or respond would now either sound like an excuse admittance of guilt it would only further The Narrative that she was this secret hidden disgusting bully jimin responds with one word on her Instagram story it's a black screen and one word means novel like fiction implying that everything Mino was saying was a novel and that she was living in a fictional reality Mina went off Mina went off she posted around six very lengthy Instagram posts now directly referring to TuneIn by name she also posted a picture of her wrist to show where she had committed now at this point there was no evidence that came out for teaming against Nina Mina the only thing that was shown were her scars and I think a lot of netizens were under the impression of no one would do that to themselves unless they truly experience something like this like no one just self to make up a story so I guess that was evidence to a lot of people Mina starts writing passionately I wrote one of the 1 000 stories of what happened tell me this is a novel don't do it you're going to be punished by God there's evidence and Witnesses I'm sorry but there is no need to listen to both sides of the story on this one because I never did anything wrong to you I remember even when I got an anesthesia for a cosmetic routine the anesthesia wasn't wearing off and I wasn't feeling good I remembered calling you to tell you that I was going to be late to dance practice but hearing how upset your voice was I couldn't even go to dance practice I was so scared I was so scared of how you were going to react and how you were going to yell at me you know I tried to take that day should I tell the world more stories about you keep insisting that my stories are a made-up novel people normally say perpetrators can't remember what they did so are you gonna try and make me delete my memories because you can't remember doing any of this huh I bet you don't even feel guilty looking at my wrist yeah I guess you would just curse me out for that too Mina goes on to rant about how she had to have scar therapy done on her wrist and she states that the scars aren't even that bad anymore because she went through the procedure like six or seven times she also implied to the world that jimin is claiming not to Remember The Bullying incidents and it makes Mina even more depressed because all she wants from this is what she's telling medicines all she wants is a sincere apology from chimin that's it that's all she wants she said every day for me is like hell but I have to feed my family now in the series of Instagram posts she starts bringing up new allegations she says one chimin told their new manager to watch out for mina because Mina is a scary to acts innocent so Mina is alleging that tieman was trying to get all of these new managers against her for no reason and she said that teaming did this with every new manager that joined the team so that they would all hate Mina two Mina says that there was a time period where she was trying to lose weight to look better on camera but I guess maybe she lost a bit too much weight and listen this is so sensitive and it's such a tough time for Idols like Idols in their weight are just a whole nother beast but she even tried to push Mina Over the Edge by laughing at her and stating Mina why is your body like that oh God it looks weird you should gain some weight this is what she's alleging third allegation Mina State's teaming would slap her for small things like sitting in front of the group 4. Mina said chimin always made her bow and say hi Ani how are you doing how's your night I'm sorry thank you so much like talk to her and such a proper respectful way basically trying to get her to treat her like royalty 5. Mina stated jimin would talk about Mina to other members to alienate her she kept trying to spread rumors that Mina was becoming arrogant from the fame that they were experiencing six Mina said because chimin always invited friends into their living quarters because they were forced to live in like a dorm when they were a group Mina would have to go to the practice room to get some sleep and some quiet Mina said all of this was the easy stuff this was the weak stuff she says this is just the easy I am not even bringing out all the crazy things you did to me and only you did this to me for more than 10 years she said thanks to you I've got nothing to lose and nothing to fear anymore so Mina goes on to directly and indirectly blame chimin for her mental health decline her attempts and even the state of her family so she's saying because I'm so depressed and because I've tried to help my mom is so depressed my sister is depressed she said that she tried to talk multiple times because of chimin she wrist took over 200 sleeping pills once Mina said her mom is depressed now because of how depressed she is and it's all because of what Chi Min did she wrote because I don't want to live anymore due to one person you so can you please tell my family the reason you hated me so much and don't say you didn't hate me you did especially me it was so unfair so so unfair I'm going crazy because of how unfair it was I really want you to live as me for at least one day just one day ultimately what the public gathers is that Mina was harassed assaulted mentally and physically biting for 10 years while they were part of AOA and that Mina allegedly tried to multiple times because of tiemens bullying and Mina's whole family they were ripped apart by this which makes sense I mean they had to watch her spiral and try to herself repeatedly like this cannot be easy to see your loved one go through all of that in the end all Mina was asking for was for jimin to acknowledge what she had done just just apologize give a sincere heartfelt apology for 10 years of abuse for the next eight hours after these posts went up Feeding Frenzy it was like blood in the waters and netizens were sharks they descended onto men with passion hatred disgust and you know this is me coming from hindsight it's kind of sad when you think about it because these netizens don't have proof that timin is a bully but they're so upset with her that they're bullying her now it was a lot for eight hours everyone AOA was silent Mina was silent human was silent and we later find out it's because chimin and a few AOA members management and agency employees went to Mina's house to talk to her Mina posted again once they left and her tone seemed a little bit calmer less harsh less emotional but she was still very passionate and angry she even apologizes for not being able to control her emotions and causing such a public scene she said she wasn't behaving like Idol she states in the Instagram post that she was visited by Chi Minh and the other members she literally tells everyone that and Mina says in the beginning chiman was angry and appalled at me for doing this so I asked her is that the face of someone who's apologizing jimin offered to to solve solve everything I rejected and we sat down and talked for a while she said that she doesn't remember any of this and I kept telling her everything that I suffered from her Mina states of course jimin says that she can't remember this well and I stared into her eyes and I told her exactly what she did to me she said that she thought we solved everything at her dad's funeral in 2019 because I showed up to support her she thought that we were on good terms but how can she think that the pain of 11 years disappears mental damage you guys clearly only care about money I did an illegal contract for eight years and all I got was three million dollars in debt people don't know how I was treated for the past 11 years and they blame me because I expressed that they were bystanders people should know that these people are trash they push normal people to the point of having mental issues and I'm happy but I want to die now this place is very painful for me don't even come to my funeral you guys you guys are dirty I will make your lives tough even when I die I think this is like a cry for help I think drama aside like forget the drama people just wanted Mina to get help they started freaking out calling her agency calling emergency services fortunately Mina was taken to the hospital and it was deemed that her injury wasn't severe she had lost some blood but other than that she was fine now two days later on August 11th Mina posts another apology so this is probably her third or fourth apology Mina is posting it and she's basically saying the same thing like sorry for causing such a scene online sorry for posting that picture I didn't want you guys to worry like I only wrote those things because I was so emotional and I was angry and then she stated that she loved AOA and her agency and then netizens were just getting very frustrated because like what's going on and then the very next day her new agency not FMC her new one officially addressed Mina and they took down her Instagram they said that Mina was going to get off social media to focus on her rehabilitation but a little over a month later like six weeks later she's back on social media September 30th 2020 she's back on social media and briefly it looked like she was better but not really okay Chi Minh had no career left jimin had gone completely silent after that apology vanished off the face of the Earth we later find out that she was staying with one of the biggest celebrities in South Korea they actually never they were never really close but ihori reached out to her after the drama unfolded and was like if you need a place [Music] so she's no longer working with AOA yeah jimin was like dropped from everything basically canceled banished like her name who shall not be spoken type deal and the other AOA members were kind of in PR limbo like waiting no one really wanted to work with him because they don't know if a shoe was going to drop they didn't really know where their careers were going so first months just limbo and then it was kind of calm in the sense that and I don't want to stay calm to downplay it like and then everyone was fine because people were not fine people's lives were ruined but it was calm in the sense that there was an Instagram drama unfolding until March 6 2021 Mina was angry again and she was angry with press and reporters now Mina stated that articles in posts were surfacing about how Mina was the one that broke up AOA they said that she was falsely accusing people of bullying and Mina continued to bring up chimin as well as other members and asked them on her Instagram again to apologize because she was the victim by this point it had been like a year of mina bringing up the same point over and over and over again and demanding an apology every time things got quieter netizens thought that Mina was getting better she would fall back into these old patterns and stir the same pot then June 26 2021 Mina was involved in another Scandal that did not involve jimin she posted a picture with a new boyfriend and it was like the two of them in bed like cuddling it they were very close it's like clearly her boyfriend and people who at first were very excited for her they hoped that this relationship was the step in the right direction they looked really cute you know maybe he was going to support her through this everyone was congratulating her in the comments until there was an anonymous post on natepan like Reddit the post read Mina's boyfriend is my friend's boyfriend and he's cheating on my friend with Mina the article exposed that you the boyfriend was dating a girl and they were even looking forward to celebrating their 1000 day anniversary so like their three year anniversary but suddenly you the boyfriend starts getting a bit distant and cold but they never broke up and then randomly he was on Mina's Instagram and Mina announced they were dating so the girlfriend is like what the fork is going on like technically he's still dating me we never broke up like what a way to break up with someone or is that even breaking up with someone it was revealed that he dm'd Mina first while he had a girlfriend so he's like damning a celebrity he dm'd me enough being like Oh my God love your work for months she didn't see it and then somehow she saw his DM she went to his profile and saw that a he had a girlfriend because he posted about his girlfriend a lot and B he liked to draw a lot like he's sketched a lot so she responds to him Mina claimed that they were not flirtatious in the beginning but he started opening up about his relationship problems and slowly they started falling for each other he apparently told Mina he broke up with his girlfriend to be with Mina and Mina said that she was super confused why everyone was hating on her and calling her a homewrecker because they were already broken up she said that she asked him if he broke up with his girlfriend before they officially started dating she also stated that the DMS that she sent him were not flirtatious that's just how she talks so there were pictures of their first few DMS and she uses a lot of egg yolk so she asked him can I ask you for a favor but in Korean there's honorifics where you say like right which is like can I ask you for a favor but she wrote like young she's like you know thank you I mean I don't think it's that alarming but the next part gets weird he responds yes what favor whenever you have a lot a lot of free time like that's how she's talking like that like whenever you have a lot of free time can you please draw a picture of me he says I'm not a professional I just draw as a hobby so I'm not sure you'll even like it she said I saw your Instagram and it was so good crying face is it impossible he says I'll try and draw one the best I can cry face although I think I'll feel embarrassed and she says no I think you and your girlfriend are so cute together I want you to draw like a love picture of me heart emoji I'll come get it when it's finished yay he says okay I don't know how long it'll take but I'll try my best but after all of this came out Mina seemed genuinely confused why everyone was upset with her she said she was the victim here because the guy's ex-girlfriend was threatening her and calling her a people did not like this I mean technically you did ruin a relationship knowing or not so it's one thing to not know it no one's saying you're not a victim but to turn yourself into the ultimate victim in every story without even being like yeah I mean this is the situation I found myself in I feel so bad for the ex-girlfriend I broke up with him like I genuinely didn't know my God it's her response and her attitude yes but instead she's like why is everyone mad at me like I don't get it I'm the victim now according to the ex-girlfriend she came out and was like nobody threatened Mina like I don't know why she said that I threatened her and called rest I actually have DMs basically she messaged Mina and said hey are you and my boyfriend dating because I'm confused Amina is like why are you asking me now like you guys are already broken up so why are you asking me that it's just very aggressive you could have just been like wait I thought you guys were broken up uh what like what's going on so Mina goes on live to address everything and instead of taking accountability and not saying this is only her fault like the dude is the problem but she barely addresses the issue she gives like a short insincere apology and then somehow manages to turn the conversation back to AOA and she mean for ruining her life is just really unsavory now you the boyfriend and Mina broke up and he did come out and do an interview later where he stated that Mina's mom was very strange after they broke up and all of these things happened Mina's mom sent him 20 pictures of mina covered in blood on the floor after stopping basically sending a Tim to be like this is your fault what you said that he was so shocked like he knew what he did was wrong but it just felt kind of like manipulative very scary he said I just feel so guilty because it's it felt like it was a result of me that this happened and now people are calling me a murderer and I'm gonna live my whole life repenting for cheating and I'm just so sorry the whole thing was just getting really bad people were really upset and getting irritated at Mina she was losing the public sympathy and she would respond to haters by saying things like I stole someone else's man you should speak after you know what actually happened did I do drugs did I kill someone was I a school bully did I go to a Hostess bar did I drink and drive you're telling me I should die because of this you should be bullied for 11 years and see if you're still sane did I scratch your body with a knife no I did it to myself she even changed her Instagram bio to read I will reveal the truth about you and timin as people have been judging me I'm gonna reveal the truth little by little I will gladly receive all the criticism after I reveal everything that was like her Instagram bio she wants to reveal the boyfriend the ex-boyfriend you and Jimmy like expose it was just a show and it only got worse a little while later Mina posted all of her social media accusing jimin of harassing and assaulting other people she shared a screenshot as evidence and she said that this is proof that jimin is evil and harassing other people but the screenshot was just Mina and her friend talking about jimin just like that Mina continued to get into a ton of all these other small controversies that just started adding fuel to netizens fire she posted a picture of her and her new boyfriend so not you but a new boyfriend in a hotel room smoking netizens were skeptical because most hotels anywhere especially in Korea are non-smoking they looked up that hotel room sure enough it's a non-smoking room but Mina lied in the comments think we got a smoking room they didn't have a smoking room then later an old classmate of Minas came forward to accuse Mina of being a school bully which Mina of course denied but small situations like this started to pile up and it made the public really skeptical of her character and ultimately her credibility she also stated she tried to end her life again because a nurse was rude to her she ended up getting that nurse fired but a lot of people were like okay we are not trying to take mental health lightly we think it's serious we think people who feel these ideations of not wanting to go on anymore it's very serious but to just constantly put that out there and constantly say because of this person I'm gonna do this it just felt like it was an unsavory taste in a lot of people's mouths people didn't know how to help then she went on live to claim that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer she said that the cause of her cancer was stress from two men's bullying the chat went nuts on this like how can you blame someone else for your cancer and why are you suddenly bringing this up when you stated that you were going on live to clarify everything else like all your other mini scandals but now you're bringing up teaming again like you were in so much hot water right now and you're like oh I have cancer and it's all Chi minh's fault side note cancer is a very serious terrible illness that has taken the lives of millions and the way she was talking about it it we don't know if she has cancer we don't know her medical records it felt kind of manipulative like the timing of it so people start to comment that cervical cancer isn't necessarily typically caused by stress I'm not sure how accurate this is but netizens were telling her and I don't know if this is accurate again but netizens were telling her that cervical cancer is typically caused by STDs that go untreated Mina then stated that she hates having so it couldn't have been from an STD because she was R worded in middle school so another massive allegation now I just want to state that nobody is doubting that nobody is doubting like nobody is questioning this story of her getting our worded in Middle School literally nobody but I think it was just another heavy conversation that she just kind of threw out there and again it doesn't make it less true it doesn't make it less traumatic but it's just it was this next part that really bothered people so she says you know I was our wedding in middle school so I don't even like to have sex then she goes but there is someone in AOA that really really likes having sex and I'm not gonna say who so people were done with her bringing up AOA members non-stop anytime she her felt herself in hot water or she got bored or she wanted another article written about her this actually led to a lot of AOA members getting harassed online being called being civilized online because of this comment like men were going to their pages and being like heard you love having like oh my goodness so Mina is getting a lot of heat for this because everyone is going through so much trauma and trouble and instead of staying quiet or apologizing Mina comes out to say the member that I was talking about was jimin now a lot of netizens turned on her now to expose something like this about another woman's personal life especially in a culture as conservative as South Korea it just felt really gross but that doesn't mean that they were suddenly siding with chimin or didn't believe Mina they just felt like she needs to move on she needs to get it over it you know like not get over the bullying but like stop doing this online stop doing this but clearly she was going through a lot and people are trying to be understanding people were still sticking to her side now the hate train on teamin is still strong there was actually a school picture of her going around from like her middle school days and that was used as evidence that she was a bully it's her yearbook photo she just looks kind of scary she's not smiling and people are like see I freaking knew it she was a disgusting bully all along whoa then a few things happened you know the nurse thing kept sticking so everyone believed everyone believed what Mina was saying about timin because because of the pictures they thought if someone is trying to end their life it must be true but then when she later came out to say oh I wanted to because of my boyfriend because of a nurse everyone was like raising their eyebrow they thought okay maybe she's a bit more unstable than we thought people start questioning how much of the bullying scandal is true and how much of it is exaggerated or how much of it is because maybe Mina is a little bit sensitive because they realize that once you take away the self-harm photos there's really no evidence against human Mina continued to change her story multiple times she gave contradicting statements and it was just all getting very strange and then September 8th 2021 dispatch published an exclusive article about if two the way that Mina said it played out which again was another huge hit to her credibility which was just done at this point side note jimin is still vanished from social media like she's been quiet are read specifically in a specific tone it's like like that's why I said go find a new one then she also had the managers make appointments for her mom like Health appointments which was very bizarre even messages between different staff like manager group chats were released where they're talking about how Mina is so scary and they would they say things like yeah Mina told me this morning don't talk back to me they said that they constantly have to check her mood because she's so sensitive she's very volatile they said they don't have to do this with other members wow that is a lot though yeah like how you treat yeah exactly other staffers said that if they were around Mina too long they were going to lose their minds so again the staffers aren't necessarily saying team is the perfect leader and human is Innocent but Mina was part of the problem for sure like she's got an attitude problem she's not perfect and none of this matched the Persona that Mina displayed online where she's can be rude to staff and be bullied at the same time I'm just saying right but it's just it's kind of a lot for netizens in another chat log where a manager and I guess there was an issue with something at work Mina would say things like manager don't call me from today why should I listen to you lecture me like I'm your student I cried because of you so please feel sorry for me that is weird and then she I think she had asked the manager to go pick up a lunch and the manager probably kindly told her like hey that's not really part of my job and she said are you having a hard time because I asked you to bring me a meal you never mentioned it when I got back I'm sorry I asked you to bring me a meal are you happy now are you saying juniors are having a hard time because of me from now on don't ever come to my work if you say that kind of complaint um but this is not just Roots this is like yeah that sounds like work bully yeah okay yeah so side note a lot of managers said tieman was a really good leader so they had a lot of good things to say about two men or at least you know a good person to work with they would say that jimin would always tell the staffers hey don't clean up the mess like we got it we made the mess we're gonna do it like just leave it alone two Min also would do the laundry for a lot of the members but also for some of the staff if they were staying in the dorms and one of the managers said cheeman was the one that gave her a lot of strength in the industry like just hyped her up a lot the manager stated teaming had a lot to do with AOA becoming successful so Mina kind of lost a lot of public favor with these series of leaks so what now you know there are a few takes to the situation that I've seen online the first one being that you know maybe timing might have been strict or maybe she said things without knowing what was going on in Mina's personal life or maybe she said things that was like just maybe not the best things to say without knowing it was hurting Mina's feelings but it's clear that she never meant anything maliciously she wasn't trying to bully her but when you're in this industry with this competitive Cutthroat standards it's hard to be he ha ha all day every day two men probably treated all the members the same and Mina didn't take it well so maybe timin did hurt Mina in Mina's own way and her not remembering might have triggered Mina even more now I did see some people that said sources close to AOA maybe like a former staffer stated that Mina was so hard to work with that tieman was the only one that could kind of tell her to cut it out none of the other members wanted anything to do with it they didn't want to handle it because then Mina would maybe lash out on them so teaming was the only one that put her foot down with Mina and Mina maybe consider that bullying when it was just like no you got to do your job so even the staff think that Mina was totally wrong just went on Overkill and nearly ruined the lives of all of her past members for what now you have another opinion which is you know Mina's at fault this could have been resolved like adults she could have not exaggerated or lied but she did so what's going on now another theory that I see online is that nobody's at fault and this should be just kind of a reminder that the life of an idol is stressful and draining and that everyone starts losing their minds a little bit there must have been so much pressure between the members and even competition between the members so maybe in Mina's own way she felt like she could never speak out against a leader or an unni and in jimin's mind she probably thought that she was just helping Mina achieve more success and the pressure broke both of them but still you know a lot of Mina's claims have been proven to be lies or exaggerations so I don't know how you can really excuse that as the industry being stressful I mean it's obvious like Mina needs help right yeah she obviously needs help I personally think that when you're that stressed I can't even imagine the level of stress that they're in it's not he he ha ha and I wonder if Mina maybe took the trauma of being an idol and just dumped it on one person when in reality it could have been the standards that K-pop has set the unrealistic beauty standards the weight standards the look standards just the the level of perfection that women are expected to be in the Korean entertainment industry maybe she took all of that stress and Trauma that she got from that and was like Timon was kind of mean to me because she made me stay on schedule so she's the reason for all this pressure the pressure was coming from her when probably it wasn't and then it's just like the question of mental health like shouldn't teamin also have gotten help on how to be a good leader if it was if it said that she wasn't a good leader I don't know this is probably a scandal that changed K-pop forever because everyone went after jimin I mean the way that people look at these bullying scandals is insane people they don't really wait they don't really wait until the bully responds they don't wait for the bully to tell their side and even if the bully does what can you say hey that person provided no proof and I have no proof either that I didn't do this because people aren't gonna believe you so I think it just like Turned everyone on their heads I saw a lot of netizens posting one of the biggest things I'm most ashamed of is that I went after two Min because I supported Mina and I just feel so confused it was a huge Learning lesson for me so it is very confusing and I can't even I don't even know I wasn't involved in the drama in the terms of like I wasn't watching in real time and like getting emotionally invested but I wonder if I was emotionally invested would I have been like oh my God this human person is a horrible person probably yeah probably it's just so scary right I mean so scary I think right now we can show compassion to both sides but still acknowledge that Mina's actions nearly ruined a bunch of people's lives and that's not okay at all I'm not saying that Mina never felt pain or trauma and I'm not saying that everything she said is a lie I'm just saying sometimes you can be a victim and there's not really a real perpetrator like you can be a victim to Life Society some of the industry and maybe Mina was mentally not okay and she just wanted to take it out on someone and she felt like someone had to be the perpetrator in order for her to be a victim but in reality human is also a victim now before we wrap it up because it's been like 20 freaking hours Mina was caught in another side lie recently so she went on a YouTube channel called chumdum TV to talk about how abusive her father was which side note I'm not doubting her story again but netizens were very confused and again people's relationships with their dads are very complicated but when the Scandal first broke with her and she Moon she talked in length about how much she loved the dad not just like her dad was dying but how much she loved the dad and how he was such a big part of her life she was so Furious that she mean for not letting her visit her father on his deathbed but now she was saying that her father had been abusive since she was a young kid she said my first memory of my father is when he beat up my mom so bad she lost Consciousness and I had to call the police I remember I was in the car with him when I was in Middle School and I told him I had a boyfriend he beat me till I almost died I just remember thinking if I'm gonna die anyway I should just jump out of the car she said by the time that she was in second grade she told everyone that her dad passed away because she hated him so much she prayed that he would just die and again people's relationships with parents are very confusing and she could have easily felt this way when she was a kid and then developed a relationship with her father and but it's just weird it's just a little weird there are also allegations that Mina doesn't like the fact that timin is having a comeback so chimin signed with a new agency recently and she came out with a solo yeah she's so low now and she wrote her own songs she was a rapper in AOA but she's a vocalist now she actually was on this like survivalist show for singing and she came out with her own song and it's about her trauma of this Scandal I listened to it it's pretty emotional she's been in headlines because of it but Mina has also been in headlines because around the same time that she means comeback was said to have been releasing like there were talks about it she didn't like release a teaser but there were talks of her comeback and her signing with the new agency and stuff like that Mina was online talking about how she was a victim of two scams victim of what two scams okay so the first scam she said that she was trying to trade handbags with a girl online like an online trading platform and the girl had a fifty thousand dollar Hermes bag that Mina wanted and Mina was gonna trade a few handbags of her own that was about fifty thousand dollars worth so she boxed up her Handbags and shipped it to that girl and waited for that girl to send her the Hermes bag never sent it so she got scammed people were like what's going on that was a weird story okay it gets weirder February of 2023 literally in the midst of jimin's comeback news and talks Mina stated that she started working for this online chat room where she gets paid to talk to lonely men apparently she was making like six thousand dollars a day but more of the Chapman administ admin told her in order to get her money out the men paid the platform and then the platform pay the women right or whoever is talking to these lonely men like she she's not talking as Mina I think she is because I don't know people think that it's more than just conversation too because it's six thousand dollars a day that's a lot six thousand dollar a day yeah that is insane what so the Chapman admin told her in order to get your money out of the platform you need to send us money uh-huh okay a lot of medicines were like how does that even make sense guys how does that even make sense how do you even fall for that right she stated that she lost like twelve thousand dollars in this and I don't know I think at that point people were just kind of over these victim storylines and again she can be a victim to all of these things but like just the way that she would present the stories and talk about these stories and people are also accusing her of trying to take team in Spotlight now that she's making a comeback what are your thoughts I mean what do you think of the whole Scandal I think both these women should be supported in different ways I think teaming should be supported in her comeback and I mean there has been no evidence that she's been a bully so I'm gonna be neutral and I'm gonna support her comeback because of everything that she's been through and I've I mean so far we've only heard really nice things about her and then Mina I think she
