Haven’t gotten a chance to see it all yet. Do they talk about The Weeknd beefing with Drake? Would love to hear Joe’s take on that

[Music] [Laughter] let me just tell y'all real quick right boy I could not wait to get here today man I felt like the sports that the sports players when they you know they they say you just got to hurry up and forget a bad game short remember it's how I felt so I felt man couldn't even open a Twitter app on Saturday well with a street saying the street that streets wasn't feeling the part but but outside of that again I see it like you know as such a huge platform we have a responsibility to sometimes take the jump shot even though our audience is not playing the jump shot it's like a [ __ ] and basketball i.q got to shoot the J so they respect it like you have to do that because I don't think they respected it no no I know but they know we'll do it but here we are face to face a couple of Silver Spoons we are back welcome to the show button podcast episode 212 yes Avon they're done oh come on the Don recognize a real Don when you see one episode 213 I'm your host Joe button no women thank you it was like that woman told me one here from the world I've learned a lot about womenís last two weeks what have you learned women will they forgive and they day uh yeah they're very forgiving I've seen a lot of women in support for our Kelly which was surprising uh yeah a lot I mean but when have you ever known a woman I actually like another woman about to say I wish they forgive sin Joe I go through it in my house I'm not doing this wait he's irate us yeah she's probably anyone she's a scriptwriter that means she has to care but we don't judge this baby's the right I love he's right okay cuz I folk abuse for it and she's oh gosh she's beautiful whoa whoa whoa yeah so can you please compliment something about her rather than her looks personnel or oh she's great yeah but do you know how workers understand when I saw her in person she's beautiful she's beautiful what you said to yourself I was like she's really gorgeous and that's it that's where it stopped yeah that was it she definitely sided me too she says you did go in you some other girl he asked me to go in like that I don't like you asking him that all right my bad forget about it uh did did you score I can't be too thirsty but he wasn't on an episode insecure so it didn't go to yeah well wait he look like maybe next season okay gave an amazing concept I could see how funny you and over again like a would draw a show yeah yeah yeah you definitely produce with Daniel and his home studio ah [ __ ] oh damn it ceases I get a job she needed I said that like people they was killing old boy Lawrence please not now yeah but she was struggling up hopeful destroys two jobs this is word that confused me but she was lazy on the show yeah but you have two jobs you should be at least yeah I mean you know why I love that show better than the couch it shows a real perspective of like a black woman struggle in like a big city that's why I like this show which is why I liked how to make it in America when it came on eight years ago that was before his time I think now that show will be a smash yeah which is why insecure I think is like a huge credit to who I am insecure is kind of like girls without the white privilege yeah but I'm rollin it's funny that we're giving an insecure review like let me say hi to our YouTube viewers [ __ ] I want to shout out to all the unemployed people slash the employee people everybody at the cubicle shout out to the stay-at-home moms and dads they had fun guys and girls shout out to the gangbangers to barbershops to college kids who else am I missing here yeah I see people in the military shout-out to y'all we have to shine bangers close friends shout out to shout out to the transgender community if you listening salute to your old [ __ ] you know it's funny a lot of women just said yo I listen and I'm a girl so shout out the oh man child did you listening if you're a girl it was a bunch of Crips in my damn saying shut out to the Crips so let me just let me just give them out the way shots all the Crips learned at 13 that you should respect the Bloods and fruit shout out to them yeah shout it'll be a universe like no reason shout to everybody alright so here we are we are back short week lot to talk about I didn't tell you guys any of it so I'll ask on air where do you gentlemen want to start um let me pull out my phone yeah let me gotcha phone let's see what's going on out here ah alright where do I start okay last week I forgot I forgot to uh hold up let me play a song Rory say something even though you have no idea where I'm going with this okay this is gonna be a really good segue it's a song that I know nothing about there we go a topic that we haven't even discussed in pre-production alright last week's going creeper does last week I totally forgot to give love to Juelz Santana and Kimbella man we had a Dipset wedding I don't know how I forgot that and I was there but boy they played a lot oh ah no that's just no he didn't perform at his own wedding no he didn't do to push but they did all like a freaky Zeke you did all the Dipset dances to other songs hmm that's good I think he does though I would really I was really excited about that did you guess I didn't dance even when you open up came on I stood to the side looking as awkward as I do in metal you step no no I didn't it looks like kind of like your swag I didn't do that your two-step I just said I didn't do that what I said listen to me so yeah that was great so I want to shout out to them and their union of love alright what else do I have to start with uh let's see well I didn't read my list let's the Dipset wedding I have here I wanted to call jinx because he was pretty excited about his dream vil invite I saw this way although their parks do we pocket yuck Game of Thrones is back no no it's not it's coming well it's coming and people are excited about it winter is coming I've never I've never seen it I've never seen either of I so never never seen it shut up shout out to Game of Thrones Oh should the mixi boys were out Howry how can we start a podcast without mentioning the famous mixi boy adventures the famous famous now because how do you how did you [ __ ] link we were at the same place that was indoors and wait a missing check yeah you were that wasn't in that yet yes you were I wasn't reading well you ain't wasn't reading anything y'all were saying she's gonna sleep at 4 p.m. yeah yeah so whatever you guys went to went to the studio hang out with hitmaker huh dude here hit here the new tunes he definitely has some hits on there who did you make it no not yet no yeah I will dough okay I just gotta get thirty uh you know writing thirty yeah that'll do it thirty writers will get it done for sure I saw a few instace with Rory and fabulous fabulous fabulous also there then I will see anything we said no no no no you did your mysterious thing that you do no I didn't then I woke up this morning opened up my my ig first thing I saw was Rory again Rory and [ __ ] uh who was it b dot d dot one of the dots d dot yes but Rory didn't tell us it was d dot of course he did attack him I tagged him that slowed down he tagged him at the end of it but what he said was legend is he not if y'all if you don't know well first of all you told us if you don't know do your homework hope to youth man did you do your homework though wait who's this d dot yeah I got my research you see yeah do your homework do your homework how old are you it's a legend 26 oh yeah yeah he wasn't outside yet you definitely grew up to some of the records though yeah for sure start there he's the bad rapper on all the skits on the pages now they're doing the homework for you yeah Rory you're doing the homework for me I just wanted to start him out it all about the Benjamins alright so is there anything that the mixi boys would like to report they're fantastic evening together I'm not gonna say it was a fantastic it was a cool time good time very played a lot of [ __ ] man I don't know what I just be getting mad because I feel like I'm never gonna hear these records I think the records he actually played this time are placed somewhere it's not usually when we go see Berg it he plays a hundred records for 34 different projects this was for his album he's focused on this album in this out moment he got a will hear these things pretty soon he got a record with a car D 2 Chainz and T is [ __ ] great that's gonna be the single yeah that that might work just told us what the single is it should be no [ __ ] Oh cosign you got the steam Wow look at what Joe finds hilarious that record is stamped if these [ __ ] thought I was getting out of my bed to pick a single to go pick this single it was nine o'clock nine o'clock news ain't even knowing you girls is in bed early except rollers in the studio would girls oh I'm looking at one of them I said is that Rory okay we're gonna pay the girl the one what do y'all want to start do you start sweetly make up the breakup and break up again oh man who is sad I was for a day why only a day cuz they made up they didn't make up they did make up they did they spoke bein a make up no he said we could that would REM life JoJo's way of digging they made up as he has to hear new roman' record right now and then he'll even say they still say that makes recorded that it's six months ago a breakup is inevitable though I think so yeah I don't think it's a break I think solo careers are inevitable among now that the breakup is inevitable because I think they'll always come together into a wreck if I'll kiss can break up anybody can break up today good okay so really break up Andre just when to go to sleep true that's what they just kind of did a Speakerbox love below album where they did different albums yeah same album yeah I know that slim Jimmy tweeted a whole bunch of [ __ ] that slim Jimmy a man of much integrity would not normally tweet that's what I know number one slim Jimmy cursed me out almost punched me in my face for saying that Rae sremmurd was gonna break up and he ain't but three foot five so when he stepped to me it was like damn he got to have hands so so iris I respected that and I was like damn i [ __ ] with Jimmy so him tweeting all that said to me all right and something did happen now the next day he did tweet that they spoke and they just had a little fight and that was it brothers shrim life for life cool but on my IG feed I saw a swale e in like Egypt somewhere celebrating that plaques just say sweetly yeah it only said sweetly on the plaque and it said yo another number one so then I check this song and it was this song with post Malone Jimmy's not in business fire Jimmy's not Jimmy's not Ani or again so it's like I didn't see why I imagined a few things that they could have been arguing about is what I'm saying guys post post in one Ginny yeah most just got swayed so then Tribune group chat similar with us but you didn't reply in the group chat maybe was post sway and Jimmy and he was in bed already missed the session mr. Nomura yeah he couldn't pick the single because he didn't look at his group chat I am such a post Malone groupie this leg would be killing [ __ ] come on come on just know it pisses me off all good he is host kill [ __ ] man I know we supposed to hate him cuz he said some foul sheets before but I'm not I'm not he's super talented super talented wait so let's let's not give a post too much project so then trippy red chimes in right and says hey slim Jimmy must have realized we were only listening to sway Lee was trashed damn tripping and then slim Jimmy hit trip you wet red and said you can't fight I think it's a fair response that's all I really [ __ ] with this new passive-aggressive era where [ __ ] that can't fight can just get away with typing things I'm against it yeah I'm against it I am I like the fact that he said that there are always respect when the dude is ready to stand on his on his pivot and say so so you want to fight a son and trippy red you lose dad he already angry that his brother is in Japan wasn't with black Russ no but marks no Hansa cosign Joe like I've seen both of them on stage and I got slim Jimmy got saloon well trippy right guys I got to be ready in that one well like I said tripping red does not look hydrated ever so I think you kill my man skinny black a mouse people still smoke and me make a smoked black of miles ain't whooping yeah I know I'm gonna take you I'm gonna take you deeper in the rounds in like wait to get I know we gonna fight a while I take that long you got to just keep distance and let him stay a little bit just let me chase you house before is over he'll start coughing yeah true be ready made your fighter nah just as well I'm an upfront like nah well you like no tree cover songs no you win all right uh so yeah I don't think that they got back together no they just a squashed and I'm here for you from listens Whaley is in a breakup every week with his girl so this can't be any different I'm sure he'll come back he's used to this knows how to do the break-up game well this new era of just like opening your phone and just like just saying [ __ ] and putting it out it's just crazy because it's like what if you don't feel like that ten minutes later right but the whole world don't leave your phone alone where you going through something like don't pick up your phone don't cry I'm sorry to see a grown man pick up a phone and cry in their phone like that's why I never understand when people ask me like some people get mad at me for deleting tweets and they start you know why you delete that cuz I don't feel like that now there's no edit button there so I woke up feeling a little differently I slept on it anymore but why do we why do we go to that though like why do we go sir reflux putting it out there like for the whole world to like like when did that have to see if they agree when Twitter happened like Twitter the the bbm away message was the first tweet yes probably okay cuz that's what [ __ ] first started know how Magus was feeling somebody in like a way message let your [ __ ] these [ __ ] know happen like but you mean [ __ ] if I still had a way messages by the way I've actually blogged TV real live like arguments with women like without them knowing I was a while dude I can't even get matter what you're saying right now yeah this [ __ ] is crazy man I just leave your phone alone you upset charge me you you'll thank me and you know we told the only [ __ ] about Swilley with all these hits right but now let me let me play up I mean advocate for my man Jimmy y'all think that uh y'all think that group makes that caliber music without Slim Jimmy's contribution I don't know I don't I think it's the done Nate but you can you can even you can even tell by the last album how important it is one together yeah the last album is what did it yeah listen he goes oh I like the middle [ __ ] better I didn't particularly care I like maybe three records on the Swale Eastside but I only like when they're together it's whateleys great for a hook I think that's why he becomes more of the star because post Malone can call him right but now I just don't know there's no hits without the two of them I just don't understand why people are so quick to disrupt a chemistry that works like if something is working to keep working it are you suffering this podcast from last episode no no I'm just saying but just in general but something when something is working like Fame don't be quick to stay very disrupt at disrupting things it's fun but then you'll regret it though you ain't never regret it might be fun for the moments for like two days and the world is like oh [ __ ] they broke about and then the third day you sitting there like damn I got to create this energy by myself now like alright let me let's just create some conversations does anybody does anybody here thinks Whaley sits at home sometimes and doesn't want to split money with it brother I don't know like do you think yeah slim Jimmy when he was about to punch me in the face told me that they were real brothers and I look he'll [ __ ] me up and I was like now I believe you like if that's your real brother then you might have some different strength in you sir I want to smoke on the red carpet and then me go step to me all [ __ ] I don't think I mean if you a real [ __ ] you don't think like that yeah I don't think it's a money counting is a creativity check yeah that more than any pick me up with it and it's two of them it's not like it's eight of the shrubs running around yeah like splitting up 5050 hustle back it's not as bad well like wolves taking me nice job too well now Mike don't go business let last shout out Mike last time you bro tried to say that Mike will went up there told Mike dog of walking out of here I mean why he's doing was all the records he doesn't deserve of course it's his share my business even ap differences record well hey to producers for sure but he put kids from the middle of Alabama somewhere put them on yeah give me [ __ ] yeah he's dope I also don't want to see a group break up on Twitter where's the fun in that like at least one Rockefeller Brothers game screamed on everyone Randy hacker almost got hit again like there was so much great that Jay was in Costa Rica like it was so much going on that was entertaining rather than like yo shrim life over break up some life young Young Money gave us a breakup no lemme gave us a breakup [ __ ] rough right I gave us a breakup yeah I need a breakup though can't be a tweet yeah I was due cordial yeah yeah like a really good group - we like you guys yeah breakup mess yeah word our average tweeted one is just like nah don't go sad about it like the war Jim chill violin music erm life one is one for the books hell yeah almost up to just as you like you like you like uh me goes better than a race trimmer do you have a favorite out of those two groups that's tough though because I so you so you tell you that's tough hold on I'm from Atlanta so like I was around when migos dropped a mixtape why aren't two and that changed the course of trap I mean I wasn't deer bad brat he was around in the same way in the same age the course but in the same breath though um shrim life they reinvented what it meant to be like a rap pop group yeah they actually made hits me goes like culturally just like they premiered his rights but yeah it's just like like they were coach Lee more relevant but as far as just like when it came to hit records like whoa well race Shermer Shrum what is more pop yeah yes I'm saying yeah yeah he's try yeah so it's just like I can't I love both of them yeah and that I prefer Rae sremmurd over me goes but I get your point like they're kind of like Dipset with a cultural thing like they know what but you know what but you know what I'm gonna take me ghost amigos I'm gonna take me goes because amigos has more dynamic you think so dude listen to me for sure because for a while it was a quavo versus rae sremmurd right and honestly I can't decide who's better but in the same breath like offset you got his pocket and take off his it's like I slept on giant so it was just like a slap door ajar you you live by QC [ __ ] [ __ ] Coach K neighbor slept on giant five nine what else what else is important something else is important here let's talk my big soldier big soldier as written about the god big soldier your man that is my man no no even if you being funny that's my man on that [ __ ] man like you are you [ __ ] with Seoul you [ __ ] with all the [ __ ] that he doing every last second over you like that changed the course you like anything as disruptive and just makes you look like a [ __ ] wreck but this is a fight some people just made late mix themselves are like a [ __ ] wreck online he loves it cuz then he's not alone he's like yeah man look come join me in my [ __ ] reckless abandonment recive been fun factor Oh King ruck fun fact Soulja Boy does this every January it's almost like he has like his New Year's resolution he goes crazy yeah yeah a lot of it a lot of it on the same three days it is the same headband you don't know same pair pants I get it but it's the same headband my [ __ ] you get sweaty making trash records anybody that knew Jays names of themselves and posted on their Twitter and that says yo I was hacked his on drugs oh yeah you what dog you couldn't have been hacked I don't know you on the video I don't know what drug that you want something so you pointing his own show and I'll pay I'll pay for it if I was vh1 Soulja Boy has his own show on not his own show but he's all we TV HBO we're really flirting where's we TV ass art is on the Internet as the first rapper on YouTube since I show these art is how to be social media famous are you Joseph accents now every artist in the world has an Instagram Twitter YouTube pays and going blogs I was doing that 10 years ago Sketchup I'm the reason why record labels are doing music streaming now there's no CDs no mom no more when I came out with crank that Soulja Boy and when number one and sold 10 million copies went diamond they said that I kill hip-hop what I really did was change hip-hop to Digital streaming and Spotify a free music bars it's all correct there are no waves going there all of you agree with everything he's saying mm-hmm I mean most of it for the most part yeah not everything but multiple tell me it's an exaggeration but yeah don't tell me what tell me the part that you don't agree with I mean there was people streaming yeah successfully probably yeah he definitely streaming like 97 th he did he had a lot to do with changing the way the music business went I think you know when he got that big that big deal that he got I think that was when like a lot of people were getting those 360 deals started coming like right after that whoa yeah and plus just like finding people of YouTube yes I mean changed the way the music industry worked in how they went about doing business and finding talent for sure yeah I would say he's probably the first artist to break off myspace know he I don't know if he was the first well the figures were probably the biggest yet yeah and it hasn't left being on the Internet sense mm-hmm so you can def and the ringtone [ __ ] and just that kid [ __ ] like grin of course there's been kid artists before but like I don't know if you've noticed that all artists now are like 16 and 19 mm-hmm soldier to me kind of felt like one of the first artists there where he wasn't like a gimmick kid if you don't know what about cars criss cross in the internet internet internet and it wasn't like put together he was done over gimmick implant bow-wow was created not to take anything away from do your homework if you don't know I know you said that two times y'all were talking over me so people to hear it so yeah I would give soldier boy yeah he's he's he's right in and never guard for sure but or some other things in the head okay scuse me go get my money to me so why'd you - twelve thousand dollars in one day [ __ ] off the soldier watch Tiger Tiger Tiger don't got a watch he does it sorry I don't have I think what soda is like that drawn the Y in the tiger like the taiga like that's what so that's it he's like what sold it to me Tiger is somewhere - not thinking nothing about this that's what sold it for me Tigers home the [ __ ] taste remix think about this dude come trying to sell a game console yeah but it sells selling game consoles but is literally um you know how Chinese making knockoffs off like Nintendo games I'll take you work yes it's literally that he just slapping his name on it so it's like a switch but solely so just it's literally the same [ __ ] okay and I'm not hey no it's not fire no I say it's big hey soldier made 325 grand over the course of 15 - eh what's that day what's today date 15 days that's what he said in the video you said what's that what's today's date hmm okay wait wait that number was for the video game yeah I so is he a liar oh well yes because the first day that he dropped a game switch it was like a million sold in revenue now it's two hundred how you count him is pocket counter drug habit yeah I'm just saying just like it sounds like a little bit you want us all over to play there all right remember well you heard it first there will be no black soldier record Soulja Boy doe listen Soulja Boy for all that y'all want to say about him has always exhibited great business sense sure make facts first [ __ ] with the yums with the wood yeah he had two clothing line yums don't pause me come on he had the clothing line yums with with the smiley face with the circle 26 year old no a whole different world of it for I didn't know about the young well it was popping the ceiling like yeah this is when he had the gucci bandana with bella you had some yelps no i never had him cuz I couldn't afford him but they were hot okay and you know he kind of a kind of invented FaceTime with the kiss me through the phone [ __ ] he did like he actually did a video film is [ __ ] hilarious but who has a bigger house than big draco in LA no no rappers but it's not his house but hold up phone hey sorry a lot of cat more you be in a museum Calabasas with the Kardashians in there have you seen a big ass you know like from a rapper been young Drake oh no so dude you got the biggest house the biggest estate in California there it is first of all you can't have the biggest house if you record in your living room this is that's a fact why not that's a good because if you have the biggest house you recording your studio duh by the way it can't even be his house literally my man has moved six times in the last just as you hate on a lot of people like I'm mad like I ain't think of this [ __ ] he thought of like I'm like do you think do you think soldier boys I forgot Houston Frank Ocean yeah mmm Frank probably I swear just wanted to double-check some [ __ ] but that's not there's nothing to deal with yeah yeah so I got a big out there gonna about to go no uh I was just trying to prank rampage yeah I'm gonna prank rampage but you know what is that odor don't smoke weed oh no one day we got not even one day we don't stop that in 2019 but we just say we're gonna dress some [ __ ] let's address it now god damn it mall you're talking about some off the off behind the scenes that anyone talked about on air hired me to talk about I'm [ __ ] with the baby the the the masses the cultures obsessed obsession and fascination with rappers that have killed people there's nuts to me now is nuts to me as a culture critic because I can't really critique the rappers that have killed people the way that I would like she's not gonna do yeah I'm not gonna do that but mall is always so fascinated by no no no no don't paint that I'm not fascinated I just his story the kid the baby like I said when I first got introduced to him it was a video where he was at a video shoot and some dudes approached him and tried to say that he had to check in in order should if you don't and he was like I don't check in nowhere like I'm good we never do is talk like that I gotta respect it you never saying it's a-okay said then director was like yo you good eye he was like I'm more good than I was before we started cool couple weeks later someone 14 events happened somebody tried to rob him to do was killed you know the victim whatever I'm like okay so now I gotta start paying attention to this kid like I who is this kid I saw listening to his records I'm like oh and his [ __ ] can read any look look what you gotta do it was the fact that when I first got introduced him he was in a situation where you know [ __ ] tried to back him down like yo you can't recording he stood on his ground like [ __ ] so then they're couple weeks later if he killed a dude it's not a problem you might have to start say it yourself okay this new he might be a really real [ __ ] like that's just a common sense like I said video dudes run up on him he ain't budging two weeks later he kills somebody to try to rob him okay then I just seen a video clip him performing he knocks some [ __ ] on the club by he was performing no 6:9 fan either realest [ __ ] in the game be the bass boy was he was rapping and then knock someone out he was me two hours in the middle I think you go back to random was on the downbeat back into your pocket is crazy wait do we need to be getting more stamping on the baby got me my young boy the baby no young boy and be a young boy yeah I'll [ __ ] when I got a picture but doesn't get to stay up I got a picture but the baby one can write fight so much at there at the rock smash oh good point what's true fellas this is everybody everybody's performing even before even the crowd [ __ ] pull a phone out and they feel like y'all I'm performing I got it everyone's like I got to get my [ __ ] off does anyone here feel our oil reserves I'm there is something to listening to a record and knowing that the rapper did it there is something cooler about that like oh yeah you did do that it's like wasn't the Kurt Cobain and Nona he's really about that juggler yeah that's why I couldn't never really get in a future because I think futures lying I don't think future does any of those drugs yeah so future did a interview recently where you've said first of all do y'all see any views the futures doing no I've seen so we put out about a single I saw a tracklist ever saw track he's done all right slow down he's done 70 interviews in a week skipped us he's done a lot no no no no I didn't he asked I told you last week yes I know but the fans didn't know I thought I said it on air last week no oh well not to knock for you but I mean I didn't one told future even though I was wrong because I you know I didn't want to talk the future because I didn't think he would open up and then I saw the 70 interviews with him opening up and that struck me as odd because I've seen future not be so open so then that made me remember that for the last three weeks I wanted to come in here in aschoff anybody notice their future was having a hard time we talked about that briefly though yeah but having a hard time how musically but then I but then we kept watching well I kept watch it I guess when I talked about that with y'all it was pretty earlier whenever we said it was it was early but to what I'm saying is to recognize that somebody is having some some trouble or some difficulty gaining traction with their surprise album it's tough people need to stop this everybody's not Beyonce is it a surprise oh yes he put the tracklist oh yes not surprised he's promoting it he put the album comes out he put a single albums out it's not a surprise that sort window for a rollout but it's not a surprise them day he didn't just drop at midnight like yeah fine well if you have a 14 day window for your rollout that is a surprise album it's not if you say no you not know if you say if today I say to you yo seven-day four days from now I'm putting out my record seven days from now I'm putting on my tracklist ten days from now I'm putting on my next record and 14 days from now I'm putting on my album that's the surprise out I was not you're absolutely right you're absolutely right to recognize difficulty on that short of a window my point still stands hmm it's a little nuts difficult and it comes out Friday it's not out yet okay was it if today's Wednesday but what's the notion the difficulty is the records that are leaking are not they don't feel like they're doing very much they don't feel like they're moving the needle very much they don't feel like they're getting a future I have talked and I don't even see if you drive it's like they're silent mm-hmm I could be off but I've been watching this for about a month and a half I don't think I'm off I purchased the record cuz you know every Friday I just in search records and I just happen to see the new future whatever that song was and I bought it it's cool vehicle let's see but see that reaction joke yes it's just like I think future reached a point with like his fans know and expects they expect and they get what they expected it's nothing that's like new for them you know I mean well I'm not trying to say that future needs to blow the doors off of anything today hmm that's not what I'm trying to say I guess what I'm trying to ask y'all is for cuz futures of that or now right yeah what what dictates success for the veterans because maybe it's not the things that I'm saying maybe it's not you've know you're single that's gonna smash [ __ ] you're right it's reaching into light because right now like the measure for like what makes up artists in the urban space you know reaching new black plateau is that billboard top 20 and I don't think futures ever had one I could be wrong but I'm think he's ever happened save on check it but in the same breath is just like well no he has maybe it was March Madness right I thought he had one with that double out the Hendrix album no it was it was just a number one album but as far as I know you know my record singles you gotta gotta got it I feel like he hasn't I feel like that that's kind of where he is like you can't really tell cuz not it's not like a post Malone effect or like a Drake effect where it's like immediately number one so you can't really tell so somebody tell me to what you saying somebody tell me where future stands today amongst the active artists mask off was a he's he's he's on that tier whereas golf was big yeah he's on that tier with the hit makers for sure yeah for sure he's definitely on that tip should be I think he's just so consistent to with like he may have plateaued already don't really matter like as long as he stays consistent we shouldn't really judge him no because I think future talks to the younger generation like for example t I put out his album I don't think T I went in that studio and was like I have to make a bunch of [ __ ] for the kids Tiesto has his fanbase futures person album narration if you anybody did hurt you no way you could think he made anything for the kids of course not found all the way of both active on a high tier just TI doesn't speak to the kids the way future does future has to say highly consistent just think this is a bad example but the copy I don't seem like he's trying to speak to the kids no it's exactly what I'm saying oh that's exactly what I'm saying oh that's future places yeah future speaks to the kids while TI does it and they're both kind of legends in their own right and I've been putting out music but one speaks to the younger generation has to keep up with all the young [ __ ] so he's plateaued in that it's all about the category but that content has plateaued yeah no I don't want to hear about him period but why are you paying about lean and pills and play saying all right we get it but I read ahead of you and he just he just said that he stopped doing lean but he didn't tell the people because of his public persona that's the way he [ __ ] up because if he would've told the people he's out doing the leading I feel like that's more interesting it's a different movement it is a music put that reality takes balls and oh you have to know you have the music to deliver you that Orioles fans that are really feel like you demand to make that type of bold move but in reality though I believe future has been a trendsetter forever when it comes to that like you know category of music as far as just like trap and just like being in the [ __ ] zone when it comes to drug music and if he wasn't [ __ ] to tell you that you know we're not doing drugs anymore I feel like God had been his fourth floor in that same vibe I'm glad you hear too often we we get it accused of being New York bias and listen y'all are listening to my god hop volunteer what we hit a top five yeah it was like I was like do you have everybody's like Big Five in like whatever some Royale mr. Bob and Roy hain't probably do you have everything his love in the top five albums that came out no this year why does he look like he has that why oh oh oh this is that the song summer was incredible there's a great record incredible but no but listening to you talk I'm glad glad that you're here because you you just sent you sound like the hip-hop guy in Atlanta that knows exactly what was going on and when it was going where we sound like you know a lot more than us so thanks good to have that here back to your point of him getting awfully Ninh this being is 444 that's where I disagree because Jay could do 444 because his audience grew up futures hasn't they don't want to hear him awfully I flag they don't want to much no one that's buys his music wants a mature future oh they don't I feel you but culturally and context relief like we're speaking about in a nuanced way like if you look at it right now love is cool right the the idea of love is cool like Joe got married like yeah I'm saying like she's cool right the idea of getting off drugs cuz like you know a lot of people are passing away and I'm you'll marry don't make it sound like my bachelor party has occurred yet it has right this is a destination bachelor party go ahead but but just in that breath is just like you know like you see culture change sides every like two three years and like it makes this huge shift in 10 but it's just like if you look at it contextually everybody is trying to push more of a positive vibe and I feel like future being at the helm of like as andre dubbed it you know like the most positive negative music you could possibly make if he was to take a different turn you know at the end of the day what his future battling record sales like I'm saying like he's he's successful enough so it's like it's like he needs to push that envelope like I know he can't as much as I understood that Andre quote I did think it was a stupid cool when I read it yeah but I did understand yeah it's a great it's a great quote does anybody here does anybody here think that Drake is being underpaid for this Vegas residency absolutely 10 million for the whole year that's rumored $1 I don't to shows at the users from writer day what he said it was just for press it makes sense 12:02 that doesn't make sense I want to call Drake justice I'm saying the same thing if Britney Spears can get 60 80 Drake can get 100 easy in the terms of like ticket sales I think Pauly D got more money than jury I got a [ __ ] relax man bali-ba get more money to drink my reminders but no he my mom likes me yeah I got a good ten mil is vastly sure yeah when I don't is that it sounds like fake news yeah I don't think that's fake news it's gotta weigh it literally it does it makes it official Drake Drake that's scary coming from you say von Drake it's 50/50 emza went off [ __ ] on a shady room too much efficient just room [ __ ] somebody's official [ __ ] show me the same room as Edison did on you ever left you won't be accurate I seem a [ __ ] about Joe in the same room that wasn't accurate notice Nigel look like Joe spot in Hawaii that wasn't Joe yeah I definitely wasn't in Hawaii um that's why I was talking to [ __ ] early and I said yeah you didn't make it out there oh yeah spoke everything good wait who said big right jump yeah everything cool everything is all right everything is loved every everything is alright that was good yeah but that sounds that that's an aioli oh I actually hold up yeah let me let more know the process of searching for a beat just in case I need to speak to people had one conversation with me [Applause] only reason why I was gonna lose now call Joe's audience I gotta that's the Joe's Joe got the drink effect right now what you can't really like you can really hit oh but we talkin bars I would lose off the fact of Donald Trump because Joe could kill him there and everyone's gonna agree I respect Johnny's holding down for y'all man no you know it's funny you say Rory let me now say Rory because Maul really things decide would destroy me in a battle mall feels like that Rory because mall is Rockefeller related is gonna agree with mall until I find a beat to prove otherwise big head was going on but that that's the only part that made me flip out last podcast or maybe go on their rent it's cuz I just feel like Rory and Moyles you'd be a little bit more savvy than you think that no you misunderstood what I was saying yeah you know argued an entire point that no one was me right I got smoke that said he wanted this whole thing never said he was better than you I'm just saying in a battle between us AHA right now I read with y'all I said I think that he does think that okay bow here's what I'm saying I don't I know that you rap better than sigh I believe that give me a month it's not even I know you a lot you don't even need a month you're better ones for by a mile you better inside by what it doesn't matter cuz saw has a lot more time nobody even in that I don't even think that's what it is for me with me is I think Saha talks lurking on yandi something his socks I think his slick talkers and look he's not as he's not as nice lyrically no way as Joe cares about slow talk in a batter that's what a battle so you get on you can't is no camera lyrical you got understand you got understand you got I understand like it's like like [ __ ] don't give a [ __ ] about slick talk all punchlines [ __ ] just really care about some [ __ ] making like fizz debt your tour your girls tour was slip talk that everyone repeated and loved it was a slip wait that's what I'm saying I was slick top hats are important I wouldn't even matter that's a silly question in life yo that [ __ ] girls to this that should saw your girls first of all [ __ ] don't mean then about my girl I feel like Saha has that above you right now I think he talks looking at you that's all I'm saying how many saw our records that we are just probably all we all love his okay Michael I'm out [Music] he just gave me the Atlanta stamp take away because I know enough from Friday ladies for the Oscars and I love sorry I love Psalm was hard no dope on Sundays is a really Obama that sounds like some so worth two years ago money here it's still ad Obama today I never said it oh but you say one of my favorite album surprise very wise he can't join air boys but nobody I'm gonna keep it a being with you that [ __ ] went ham when that out no no listen he probably did but I don't care sighs suffers from the same thing that Joe suffers from we both our monotone Ian no no no no no we both were born no no no no no no so we don't say Oh flaws no Joe Joey's now Joe's not born that's the thing like and not cuz I'm gonna show Joe is not boring like the mood music days Joe is literally what music is trying to say the reason why Joe didn't go crazy is because Joe's self-sabotage that's true that's the only reason why and nothing to do with any of the other [ __ ] sizes dead-ass born I hope I stopped at Alverno self-sabotage anymore you tried it last week that [ __ ] called a pick-and-roll on a fast break nice look Chris Weber timeout but but can i clarify because like you know a couple [ __ ] I don't like how cool was that [ __ ] but psy is a great rapper and I'm not gonna take that away from me but Saha I gotta figure out a way entertain because the bar is about being in the corner and being like the best drug dealer it's not really wait you just make that up and dancing that sound like some ESPN sure did you make that up yeah so listen so let's let's move let's move forward here RCA has been gracious enough to decide to put it stopping to any of the backing of our Kelly's music or the releasing of our Kelly's music and I tell you the music business is so reactionary thanks RCA the public outrage just like Omarion you are extremely brave this is crazy RCA you guys are awesome thank you for having the public's feelings in mind and finally doing something about it I guess thank you uh does anybody care that Uzi is threatening to no longer rap again come on justice give us the Atlanta - yes Philly but but but he did spent a lot of time in Atlanta first was his credit first the race short break up and every day I wake up somebody got a problem was II retired but I care about was Easy's quitting music ya lose he's one of those people that like I feel like with the right guidance he can change a lot of things yeah that's fair he's not quitting music he's not he's granny 30 animals songs in his oldest that he's quitting that's not he's been saying this for the past three years he's dying to get away from can top and music Canon and uh and uh drama drama that's what it is yeah yeah he just wants to go shopping with Doug man he wants to get away from drama and I feel like this resolve doesn't want to quit music I got that story about Lizzy give it to us so when we were doing blacks album which album the last me you guys you got a few of them easily a love letter oh then we got to in stores right in your phone right now in your phone right now honest bottom we were trying to get him get him on a record let her go he did the record but we never got it because one day how was that Barney's he's trying to go costume [ __ ] slight flicks a little bit weird flex but okay and then ran into Z you didn't know why was I know he was clearly sorry yeah I said what up yeah but he's like oh yeah you know I think it's some ice cream I'm like [ __ ] I need the verse but that's that's a type of digger that he is like Susie is literally a free spirit writing around just won an ice-cream a lollipop and living the best life versus he's made a lot of money and you can tell they're like what y'all [ __ ] care about the craft that's not what he's focused on I don't want to do I got any records with a free spirit that's just a minute I just don't sour sorry buddy I still take that verse though did you get diverse ever no no no I didn't if you think the little rappers that wait around for the feature from the the big mainstream act was always funny no but I saw what that is no that's like what that is no I didn't say damn just saying me I'm not waiting around but it's not even about waiting around it was the feature away and it's a bar no it's about it's about giving people the best music and oozy stalin's not to be the best lyrical clearly that's not what he cares about and if you even care about easy like you know that he can actually wrap if he wants to but I'm not saying any one of those no no but that's why we have New York no no no but I'm not I'm Lars right bad we know girl know but I'm not holding on to Lucy as lyrical miracle but I'm just saying that like that [ __ ] his cadence in his I don't know his presence on the record as a lot to it I tried to get Susie on proud to him oh yeah Royce just say that right yeah glad he's fine okay more I'm good wait you Louie listen no I like Ozzy but I just feel like I just feel like this error we put too much we put too much like sauce on [ __ ] like [ __ ] care about Ozzy [ __ ] like Busey you put out some dope joints if I make it music today out is it is anybody gonna really miss it but you're not its target yeah I think a lot of this target is nothing on this it doesn't make is that's not your demo you're not one of those they may not be on his La Merced same target no no but they are loved one even the quality of music for that target somebody will fill that void is Jeff please stop saying target somebody will fill a void just why don't you probably uh because I'm not a story now [ __ ] with who's he hey I'm just saying like I'm not the person that was making music for it's not that I don't [ __ ] with him cuz he has a few songs that I like by a few I mean like two or three mm-hmm I thought his album was very underwhelming it was it was like really underwhelming for sure what uh then I thought he took a really long time to do anything next like if I'm a fan and it does not hate I know people here there's some things that we just hate everything but this is not a this is actually instructive [ __ ] no captain I'm not gonna I'm not a fan of I'm not gonna be a fan of somebody who seems to have who seems to be having a turbulent time and then they don't seem to be committed themselves like it's gonna put me through too much of a roller coaster it's like a Knick fan yeah but you know yeah you're not seem to let them know off of the Internet cuz right now it's just like it's such a crowded place in for him he's such a van filled I have too many Anita Baker records in my compartment but he say have to look the nuance no no but he's such a big artist and up and up and a pop since that like he has to find a way to make sure that his record always sticks out and I feel like for him baiting the record abating his album for like the last year or a year and a half you know it's a great way for him to like I'm not these [ __ ] that you compare me to in that space yeah I'm saying like I'm still the dawn when it comes to like that no save on save on is done for sure and I don't know Ozzy can still be called the dawn in that space for sure he's probably the premium no space for listen I'm not pretending to know I'll be 40 soon Busey is the first it was he's the first rapper not gonna say the first rapper cuz I could be wrong but like he's like he's the first he's the first rapper to really like breaking Instagram space in a way that's where you never seen it before no I mean think about it fam do me of it we don't care about my band's live I tried I thought oh yeah it's cool let's try let's toss it to Rory and and get our cost me anything let's talk to Rory and get our a book boogie update a boogie has a number-one album the country congratulations a little round of applause ha brave Cap'n the claps yeah we'll take that yeah okay that won't worry to say something now about his guy so what Joe wants me to discuss is that it is the first number one album to have the lowest physical sales which were I believe eight honey where Joe is gonna try to hate here boogies demographic is probably 15 to 25 they don't even know where to buy us a load of CDs so I don't see why this is big news who gives a [ __ ] about record sales what are you telling me you're the [ __ ] that like wait I haven't said one word oh no what alright since you're asking me um I don't care about record sales as it pertains to music right here's don't don't hear that man in a boogies case yeah I care about record sales because I think that the math and the division is funny and it's and slighted not in the favor of artists so when you tell me that a boogie sold 823 copies or 700 copies the lowest what you know that's cool I don't care about that but then you tell me that he sold 60,000 copies in the week right because he streamed 80 million times right I think artists should care about that math is a little funny what's what's off on the math 83 million streams 60,000 copies that's crazy no see and that's fake news because how the cloud [ __ ] is like wording it to get like some click and take away from my man's [ __ ] accomplishment is they're saying 828 physical sales yes yes but that's nothing to do with what he sold in consumption no we know we're saying that we're dream he's forget the the physical copy [ __ ] i streamed 83 million run his album right they then gave graduate him thousand in sales that's where my sentence but but how is that off though huh how was that off I mean I mean we're looking we're looking at the data with without with how many times our streams to call how many times the streams to be one sales important what's what's the problem like how many streams on Spotify did you got to get to be a hit to be a podcast versus how many persons on iTunes you got to get to be a podcast they are answered today that's kind of what I'm saying there are answers to those questions but they won't tell number one number two who says that 80 million streams gets you 60,000 in sales well they count differently the streams count different from different sources stop any platform that counts them however they count them Joe and my math has an issue with it that's the only time that I get involved with album supposition the issue is who the [ __ ] says 80 million streams is 60,000 record record sold bro some [ __ ] named Kelvin in the vibe that's my point we got a/c Kelvin we've got to talk to Kelvin yeah but uh but other than that I don't care about that Rory I don't get it I don't get a boogie on the tables only sold 800 physical I don't care but but you should you should care about what like why they do that to him no like why is that why's the headline of his number-one record that so was like ninety first week 50 second week fifty thirty week like why is 828 saying the lowest like taken away from that [ __ ] like I feel like that's some [ __ ] and that's the [ __ ] that I really feel like [ __ ] in this conspiracy like I feel like that's their attempt to really try to start to figure out how to down her music because you gotta stand like [ __ ] is dominating and in the way of dominating [ __ ] is like oh I'm gonna give you a credit but let me just talk [ __ ] and that's some [ __ ] up [ __ ] because he sold his records and he's in he streamed his units like give him give my [ __ ] credit and it was off third week [ __ ] don't retain that type of that type of streams third week that's true that means the music is resonating and the fans are like picking it so like get a [ __ ] credit that's some [ __ ] a ween O'Quinn le tombeau whoever is putting these headlines out but the headlines are going down because he broke a record yeah but I'm saying like look who's writing look who's writing these on these are these blogs that my homies yeah they don't make named Kelvin don't like oh I'm some corner like I don't know what quarter but with what I'm saying but what I'm saying is that if I see what they're doing and with what I'm saying they're like and this is my my conspiracy in like the next four or five years how our B music is gonna take a turn for the worst is tax problems but like that's just like another whole thing but anyway supposed to but but okay but okay but ya know I'm just saying like my [ __ ] got his number one record like they wouldn't do that if my Mariah Carey got her number one record off like four after four weeks like they wouldn't do that she wouldn't do that if if I ran a grande got her number one after third right yeah like give my [ __ ] his props in like dashes is that lame [ __ ] that I feel like like us as a coach we gotta like spot that [ __ ] because like not get that [ __ ] he earned it listen I don't know why as a culture we like to get our credit from other people in other places there's a change coming in desk that's what I'll say and that's where I exit that that conversation there's a charm since we have oh [ __ ] well we've some of that drake residency i'ma - y'all y'all put any credence to that whole weekend line we stow him I'm not hiding his kids that's a big lie I thought was cheesy and cheap lazy it was very lazy but I mean Abel's not lyricist it's been saved yes sound of smooth my ear pods never hide one is that accessible with the with the video the reverb we shot well I did like that he's like Drake needs more of those so everybody here does feel like there was a shot it was definitely a shot a shot was that a respectable shot from you guys no respectable I don't know all about respectable coming from him I don't I wouldn't expect that at all it's been said already wait what's respective what if I'm respectable do you give it credit more when I ain't respectful in the senses heat being respectful to Drake's family we're saying is it a respectable shot no I mean I think I think it was very respectable because we're talking about it no we talked about Wow it was respectable because in an electronic / pop / army record he made us care as hip-hop fans well I want to know why it was I'm able to stand some you justice for the next like 30 minutes he just told us from like a hip hop electronical stance is what it sounded like so so nobody here know so nobody here feels like drink deserved that yeah if that was a shot I thought they were friends does anybody here think that the record finesse on scorpion had any has any relevance to the conversation he was the scenario this damn I got to think that record yeah take some finesse that one that's the one how does it go more was that most go beer yeah it was yeah well no side of me yeah I've never called he says I'm liable you have the lyrics Joe I mean one would say I don't have the lyrics in front of me but I mean here some people say that that over could is uh about a weekend this but I know I played someone two chicks on it the first line is to have nice so he's suggesting he wants his baby to have the weekends I put my baby to have the weekends no there's no longer making dates on music I was pretty happy about that and said no more dates on music yes need that the drugs on it made me feel but but wait if you tell you steal your man's girl and Intel hurt it I want my baby to have your eyes while I got some dad I'm not saying trick is yeah I want I want to put this on a record drink is sick man listen is going back to what we were saying too many [ __ ] we [ __ ] with the st. chicks if this doesn't happen this isn't funny malt is funny because I've heard more tell his man's about a chick that has fire and encouraging him to try the fire sounds like a good friend that would be just leave it ball is not saying white fur and take it out take off some of my man let yo daddio she's got that good good you said good good and think I'm not gonna wife the good good if it's good oh my god so you're home where you want [ __ ] to just go get some good good and leave yeah yeah Oh laughs it does that with all the rest Rory has not waiting got some good good and just went home Wow I didn't say I was right or wrong whatever I did it I'm just saying yeah you should move on same rappers rappers and entertainers first [ __ ] to fall in love we be good good stop wiping the same girls like stop sleeping with because when [ __ ] do that I'll be feeling like so you you was on his girl when that was his girl like you was looking at when they was together in loving Allah yes that's crazy yeah but but what's weird is what I hate to be that weird flex but there's a little nuance to that where do you like that way yeah I know that's why that's why that's why I had to put that up whatever anyways the thing is [ __ ] don't be in regular spots it be the same girls that be in the same spot no they get invited by the same [ __ ] I know how to get outside of that like I gotta get to the studio I get to the hotel for some reason from all I know how to get to backstage I know how this go yeah but but mall because right now right now with right now was trendies a certain look way justice has more how many times he let some a gang abroad into the back door to side it's a gang of a gang [Music] No whatever I'm just saying wait what's your checklist before you let him do the the backstage just just be fun just be fun just be cool I mean there's a lot of fun girls in the crowd how do you pick justice you gotta move it in years I haven't just pulled women out at the mall how are you deciding which women are fun and cool like oh wait so wait so they did this thing yeah okay so now with that criteria sample so now with that criteria you say you look at it me but are you were you from but I'm saying we'll never hang out with hooky no no but I'm saying before you hang out with them before they get backstage you have to look at him and have some sort of criteria to for them to get backstage so what is the criteria you can come to you can kind of tell the cool chicks like you don't wanna you don't wanna bring a chick backstage that's too thirsty so what defines cool you can kind of tell by her demeanor but the way she you know me to each other yeah you tell us if we can't I mean that does god-given baby wait so you're telling so you're telling me that you see a chick in the crowd and you are able to tell all these things in like the first 10 seconds cuz he knows not a lot of time 10 seconds maybe about three minutes you tell you could tell go backstage and pull a phone out of start record some [ __ ] they shouldn't be so that's that's that's the stoppage from like ah you're not coming backstage you sure is not really like a look or like oh no you tell them that's what you tell my listing or like a suggestiveness no that's no it's like a woman first of all ever y'all y'all saying y'all both of you guys it sound like you've had a lot of one-night stands no I've had a lot of you two night stands a lot of two nights we can nice things open things for the word yes how them black tours going you know what I noticed about no blank have a whole lot of beautiful meal centric shots a black-bean them I am NOT my hair type of women up in there peace man don't be the ones yeah he took he talking about that [ __ ] no I know now what I'm saying is does he ever further these talks after Joe very faithful black how about you hey we listening we listen I met the shows is like you know being a great manager it's catching a vibe I mean it's all work things like Rory I do sable Mick see boys yeah yeah I work in the word working but anyways I just want to just to just to finish the point so with what I'm saying is that ya [ __ ] [ __ ] with the same growth and that's not excusable because they definitely all do wife to see it grows but what I'm saying is that there's a certain criteria of girls that do make it backstage hmm um and it happens to be the same once mmm so that's why I've is like I always say [ __ ] is groupies for groupies for sure so hey [ __ ] dirtbags that's just era we in now yeah but is that a flaw I was like just a floor it is what everybody's flawed everybody else flows so it's okay I'm just saying entertainers need to just make a more conscious effort to not sleep with the same women that their teammate has slept with over there why are you sleeping with the same woman that my teammate slept with shaming it was it's not a me but it's kind of like that's just too it's just too close to liking I'm saying look what happens they all start beefing they all get on I'm gonna shame it cuz it always leads to [ __ ] [ __ ] definitely the high standards that's the fact if you have once you have money though you can travel the world you can meet women like from every way on the planet your eye why are you meeting the same girls from have you been on the same page on Instagram yeah wait a lot of names on traveller that's that's and that's crazy if they traveled they would know well I don't think it's don't travel that's crazy a lot of [ __ ] are really stuck in like this pocket of States of America and yes I traveled you would know who had herpes and who does not what's that girl do you think it from San Diego to Cancun oh yeah yeah yeah what else is happening pretty important in hip-hop that we need to discover and get to the bottom of well a good segue there would be a black China and Alexis sky or now beefing over the same gentleman oh listen bro the headline just talked it to our Kardashian inside the group member of Joburg and China saying oh I met in Joburg in China you are I never did you were there well with that you came and you said she had some fire that's true he did say that she got some fire she's ready to stab to Genoa tell me I'll buy his vest a new card to be his most audacious I recognized she was trash yeah then he got a standard Gillette so Joe tell them about your stamp when you stamp that record it's the love of hip-hop's - we gotta cancel black she outta here she next cancel blac Chyna yo y'all laughing at me but mall the Kardashian I'm not a Kardashian why so you do shots with the Kardashians see that makes me correct so I was toss to never smells like pause - you were more to say about Rob Rob and his adventures I think all that should have just finished a grant bro that's that's just that's where we at take a picture girl in my kitchen Kylie kendall nobody just pop up when somebody beefing with [ __ ] [ __ ] the Clark here mr. Clark it was like a two-year span with robbers knocking down everything lately did he hit the socks boy hit the socks business boo that's when the Clarks was in yeah he had the Sox business he's hot bro he that it was like I did was I got you guys some Clark sucks no this is great no every relax give Rob his props though he's erased a whole time now [ __ ] this up now right the whole time and they just caught him a simp Negus don't like to see men be simpie about a grudge and I supposed to be some you know I think that's not I don't like me but he got finesse that's the way that's the way that's not the way you got finessed i don't like [ __ ] they cry over it over food like no penis yo I can't [ __ ] out of Rob park I see how do you say I can't xiety was why like you know you know well for our party that's our blac chyna gotta eat black sign away man into the cover but God who got his weight down anyway blac chyna had the biggest comeback in 2017 just read the bottom all just read the bottom walls gonna listen to that in your large read the bottom and read it out loud parks we're doing a podcast emailing you tonight I promise you chance send it back to us send us all you need somebody calling me champ saying they're gonna email me tonight so you need now you now you backing up off the side smoke now you now he's backing over the side I just want the listening public to hear yo button Plus being side you more backpedaling bamboo pay you any gosh you're supposed to be queit soon a small is hitting the backspace buddy nothing I don't yeah I know I know [ __ ] Joe still it's like that's why I know you my manners you know what it mean when it's Joe all still here I got a lot of slack on the internet it was like a joke told you to relax wait when is Joe ever wanted to battle that people feel like I would win no it's not people don't feel like you will win this your mall hold up let me finish pat myself on the back okay Joe is always the first one to go out and check the scene scope everything out take all of the chinks in the armor check out all of the mistakes being made see what needs to be done to move forward while the industry is behind that's always joke your show is always gonna get all of the ridicule all of the backlash all of all of it because Joe is oiz first [ __ ] ain't behind no cosign well I've never been come on come on I've never been a guy to hide behind the cosign so anything anything that's bad people have to say about Joe Young mean from the kitchen we I do what I was saying we known each other too long I'm saying that's why I say oh he like that said he was ready he was like what's up and then your reason became something else no no no come with your own pen of your own money yo you got to be wearing Nikes when you battle me yo but if you ain't win switch we can't really get down like that check this off you ain't got your big connecting I'm really battle [ __ ] then it got a bit can never want me to be honest about that want me to be honest about that let me be honest about that you know like y'all are my friends so y'all y'all make fun of me when I'm doing great and what I'm doing bad right mmm and I accept that from you guys mm-hmm but in rap as having been the underdog guy that nobody really gave a [ __ ] about his entire career that was swinging up at rappers mmm in retirement I could swing down a little bit so how come when I swing down all of the stuff that was not relevant to me when I was swinging up is relevant to the other person was wider the rules bro no swinging up and down for you I'm a fear its Saigon swinging up and down for you well Saigon it he said he only dished up his whole career is Saigon dissing up you mean Saha that's like no yo you know is that no resume of ever battle rapping at all I wouldn't say that I was swinging great router at Saigon I wouldn't say that so you didn't but I was also responding to Saigon he stepped out anybody I'm saying anybody I ever initiated the smoke wit I would like to think I was swinging up no but yo you miss him what I was saying I was just saying that you can't talk to the rappers like that if you're not gonna write but you use that you stick it to your retirement [ __ ] cool I'm with you on it yeah my thing is you can't jump into conversation you can't jump into conversation and be talking about the [ __ ] that's currently acting I wanted a because currently active says okay we [ __ ] we'll get your ass in the ring you can't then change your point of be like oh go get your own mom always i'ma wait timeout all right you misunderstand me you right okay that's all I want it that's all want it that's all that's all I needed that's all I need I'm right up you're never feeling what I'm saying that's all I needed you're right okay okay right I shouldn't talk about people that's rapping right so okay when he when he bust you I am I'm gonna continue to talk [ __ ] about rappers okay even rappers that people feel like my rap better to me but that's what I'm sorry I'm saying you can't do that and be ahead in when they want the smoke say I'm retired can't do it yeah you can what a frosty we didn't I didn't work out the vacation time in the contract okay sounds like we can't really go down looks like you could you said you need two months to write that's what I write asking why are you now that long yeah two months yeah do you write pretty quick no what no the month a month and three and three weeks was to just fresh him up that's a long freshen up Monday yeah yeah this is a whole rocky montage training camp right if I can write this record in too much and I never reckon in my life you should even have the worst friends in the world you have the best in three weeks is a busy is too long and a freshen up yeah if you talk you ain't been out of you ain't been I don't rap that long I have no wrote of rappers three years what are you talking about too much to freshen up no long I need a month and three weeks that's crazy I could write or diss record in the much you need you do need a mom for three weeks for somebody that's a little crazy you definitely know I don't see it as [ __ ] yo so sorry I dropped some more I'm winning that work that I don't I don't want you to even that's a smoker hi hi listen this is not about Joe Budden rascal job I did retire so [ __ ] Joe but let me find out what else is important that we have to talk about let's see they gave [ __ ] Burger King let's get right to that that's the sickest dude ever yeah Burger King and Wendy's and McDonald like y'all was a silver platter what's wrong with this look big it wasn't even the double quarter pounders it was Big Macs damn shits have been sitting - Wow cold sitting in that cardboard like what do you do just wonder [ __ ] come on you can't treat them like that at least get the little heat lamps yo Burger King Trump is extremely um Trump is extremely arrogant self-centered you guys know that I read him that's not breaking news so I feel like Trump has been taking a stand for a few years against sports the NFL in particular so when I saw him give big macs to Clemson after their Alabama victory and I heard his speech that he gave before he let the team in the room when he was just addressing the cameras and while the front side he tied that into the government shutdown and he mocked us all yeah he's the biggest the biggest role he mocked sports he mocked the American the the Americans he mocked the Democrats the government employee he mocked everybody in key ways right now well latinum wasn't even knew your could they be not working like was Donna was a man's brother by Fordham do you think all the Clemson Tigers had to go why did they go this is Clemson why did they go why did they go it's Clemson Clemson South Carolina yes South Carolina why come on man come on a lot of lemnoc vote I say them dumb white dudes was picking up the Big Macs and putting them on paper plates while it was still in cardboard I was confused it wasn't just a sandwich on a paper plate it was like said it was in the box a box and he was putting it on a plate with a carrots we got to see Harris how much how much their their sales went up since then poor King McDonald's you should check that probably about said fam fam forget about the Burger King and McDonald's I was watching the news and I saw I've been seeing somebody post the TSA lines from the Atlanta Airport which is already huge and a mess sometimes deadline was extremely long it didn't look like anything I would want to wait in um because the TSA workers are walking out there walking out there they're not working and I'm not gonna understand Airport then I gotta get I gotta get on the flight it's like this week no so what I got to get to the airport four hours in advance I got to do the whole move y'all broke my foot let me get the wheelchair yes that's happening I'm waiting on a three-hour line no I'm with the fake the little fake law injury just pay for clear I have clear should be alright pre-checked I'm just not getting on the flight oh wait clear does good bypass all that huh clear and pre-check oh i don't make it clear [ __ ] don't fly enough to just give no clear cool to you to you put your fingerprint up there and it's scan and then they say alright but we need to pre check I'm the only guy that has clear that needed to breach it I both you have reject they pre check me know do you have pre check no I hate preacher oh well you should get pre-checked I don't want free check I just I hate the word preaching I don't want preacher I just want to keep my I will choose on well the only reason I got one clear and I love taking much you go o at any time in life telling car [Laughter] alright fine let me find what else is going on out here really smart is important to talk about let me see Elliot didn't invite us to his birthday party but that's cool no he invited me yo alright so I assumed weird weird flex it wasn't weird flex why why is bird calling me right now cuz the messy boys was hanging out with Bert hey how are you I'm doing my podcast I have a business to run John jungle jungle city will be there after I'm sure the mixi boys out there they had a blast listening to all the new Jeremiah records I'll get there yes so I tried to put the message and decode it for you in your records and you hate it on the record before I came out do you know what this calls no no style is Nicolas anybody want to talk about that record not taking off quick Alma come you call you back I was hanging up on you get off with you you know now you want your crank no bye nobody wants over I didn't know sales working that going to work I heard you played a lot on the radio in New York hey nobody want to talk about that on your own that racket y'all want to visit it well what going bad record we can drink last week it's gonna work the wall well no okay that's fine I'm raising my hands to say I am I'm walking that one back I know you are I do not think the dovetailing wreck they'll televise work it was better I know you don't but I'm still sticking to Uptown Bob's me and fabric it was better than going bad I still think that oh no it's not yeah it's not but he's a drag Stan you can't ask him it's concise it's at a point and it's just about right he's a better actor I do think that video with everything they're doing is is gonna get it to number one pretty quickly I'm so ready it I'm calling jinx to see if we can get some inside scoop on this dreamville stuff yeah show that this is Joe Budden from the Joe Budden podcast how are you doing this fine evening Jesus Christ what's up man I'm here with Park small justice and Rory got jinx on the phone everybody say hi to jinx jinx how's it going I'm gonna be honest I feel like this has something to do with an outfit what did you wear to the dreamville session I know we bout to go back to work but no I'm not calling you to [ __ ] with you about an outfit I'm calling you because I've been seeing the sweeps I've been seeing you those the tweet where you said yo my name is jinx and I've been on this earth a long time but I've never had a moment quite be fulfilling as when I walked into the dreamville session I never saw artists so selfless creating with such an energy such an energetic vibe you tweeted all that's all I gotta call jinx to see what was happening in Atlanta nah man um yo it was crazy I just saw a hell of folk running around artists I never saw even interact before everyone's moving through each different room recording throwing verses all here they're here they're like I got to see verses and saw you know for y'all that [ __ ] is regular um as someone I worked in media all time they don't invite us this [ __ ] like that you know what I mean so I got invited as an on media to do just to kind of hang out and it was dope you know about the sea [ __ ] what's-his-face bloody drop versus live sea bursts ching-ching-ching slow down before you start dropping names let me confess are you ready you wanted you wanted to go to the dreamville sessions got to come out of retirement not at all that was the last place I want to be I never understand studio sessions with a bunch of rappers just migrating I never want to be there but what I noticed was I saw people compiling a list of all the people that were there right and nobody is saying this but let me ask you were there a lot of people there that you really didn't give two [ __ ] about no I can't say long actually for me it was do you know give you the answer what was nav doing was nav there they've nabbed what name I'm not listening no you know it was artists that I did care about that me think was are the dream go raid our you know I mean like I can't say one I don't know that much but I'll say like the people I saw that was getting busy was young the young dudes you know I mean like buddy Cimino um ski master slump god oh who else was up there like [ __ ] um coop that like dudes were going crazy and don't [ __ ] about it was that it was um it really was an unselfish environment like you know I know that rappers kind of have this thing where like y'all same room and [ __ ] won't even won't even look each other and I it'll be sort of like I'm over here in this corner y'all over here in this corner it was like everyone was in the same space with him for me huh was this different from when you went to Wyoming or Ferguson I bet you know what the worst part is joke I walked in and when I finally saw Cole the thing that hit me was like wow I actually haven't seen this guy in person since Ferguson I was like if I say that kill now put on were you know were you there with them were you there with the Bucks time now let me give you choked off man oh look the Bucks was there did they get actual why enough [ __ ] bucks at the dreamville so you had a fly why is Greek friends checking out the tunes this was like this is like yo it was nuts man it was like such if I explain because for me I don't get a chance to go to [ __ ] like that and what was dope is that I figured people and then a couple [ __ ] I was definitely called which is crazy but they was like it wasn't like a situation were pulled up and [ __ ] closed the laptops and was like oh what's he doing here it was like you could just kind of be in the room and catch an idea or here was someone else's talk like it was like a lot of family [ __ ] so when is this album coming out I don't know wait so they invited you didn't didn't didn't didn't didn't touch you didn't tell you no [ __ ] first off bro I walked in there and then very quickly I was like oh [ __ ] I'm the only one that doesn't make music in here besides yo I guess I'm just gonna be here and I was just there you know I'm saying like it wasn't loud I saw people were very upset on the internet people were like yo why it's meteor they're wise jinkx their worst worst where's everyone in media and it's like yo it was just me and yo that was it and you know me I'm on my I'm on my you [ __ ] so hey you know you say you not a rapper no more Brando you stir that bars I'm on some [ __ ] what I'm like oh yeah I'm not media but that's what any hos present in the studio and J : hos is that what you actually were there hos present year risk it was women weren't any it was cold and black together I know with some holes in there the black pull up the legend and lore about that pulled up and um drop the verse and then like that like dropped it quick came in ready spit that [ __ ] I don't know if it was one take but the way [ __ ] was talking about it it wasn't legend here don't want to hang out with Nana Ross I'm imagining whatever people think like if [ __ ] think of Wyoming whatever that was like team sweatshirts and rally to her to me like it was the opposite of that you don't mean well jinx I gotta be perfectly honest with you and I'm gonna say this in closing if the return of the dream bills three-album is wack you kidding it for me hate that that the pressure of this album falls on you but you and I go back to work at about two weeks and if this [ __ ] is trash you and Dianna is getting it that no it's [ __ ] that all I got that is [ __ ] up cuz that's how biggest think where people were so mad that I got invited and [ __ ] was putting the pressure down on me I'm like yo Brad all I don't rat no supposed to invite some light-skinned for us are you ready for y'all to come back [ __ ] yes we're I'm [ __ ] bored as hell me too I'm broke my pop there once a month will automate my last job pay us for [ __ ] January they snuck it in in December for tax reasons I'm gonna keep it a book that the only disappointment I had over the puffs ain't do a holiday party I was like I kind of needed that Freddy gram I needed that New Year's party bro all right rest in peace Kim Porter I kind of knew that puffle isn't throwing a party damn now I'm at my bad Jake I'll talk to you soon bro what can I ask you guys a question that has absolutely zero to do with music sure no because this is a music podcast and we're here to talk about the sales it's talk about the numbers Joe and I'm not a music podcast by the way I don't know what type of podcast is it I would like to ask you gentlemen when was the last time your ego played a part in relate your relationships about like an hour ago I'd like to hear more about it reaching your relationship like with your relationship with your girl or just relationships period with people that you have relationships with my ego played a part it's been it's been a while but it has it's happened like time time you're saying yeah sometimes you just feel like sorry [ __ ] you just not doing like I'm bigger than it I'm not doing it no no gonna tell us more no I'm just yes that's what it was for me it wasn't gonna be specific I mean it could be going to a certain restaurant you know I'm saying or going to a certain part of town like I'm not going over there for what but I have no business going over there I should not be on that's out of town I should not be in that restaurant I'll need to configure a different question for you okay configure it gentlemen I think my stubbornness comes from my ego so I let a lot of fights like linger for way longer than they need to be simply off me just thinking I'm right and I'm not trying to interview that's the same as my ego that's you're arguing style you're that you're the let it linger yo yeah which is bad I'm trying to be better about that well you let you start cleaning up when you get mad oh hell yeah whitening [ __ ] down cleaning up when she got mad get the storm Li do that grab Windex because what he used to be the way you would clean the crib is if a chick was coming through you'd clean better than you usually do you clean quick it would just motivate you to clean the crib now that I don't have that I have to start a fight to clean my house it's my new strategy so I want to get up and clean I can only ask Rory in parks this you guys don't you guys don't notice that you like really don't give me you'd about yourself because you got a girl what's the only way to relationship it's all about her yeah I mean like you let yourself go man no man we die a little inside every day I haven't done a push-up give him 20 maybe she right I'll be laying there with my girl knowing my body is trashed [Laughter] you know I feel like that error kind of level I feel like chicks don't give a [ __ ] anymore about what dudes bodies look like I really don't you know why never tell you I somehow I've thought about this it's because they ran through enough athletic niches that ain't [ __ ] the muscle-bound the muscle-bound dudes and tall dudes those two muscle-bound dudes and tall dudes just think about this for a second like I have okay those really are the only two groups of dudes who can't brag about the traits that attract women to them it's really corny when they do it I've seen a lot of dudes with their height in their bio holy look trash yo today's Wednesday everybody over-65 post a pic looks nuts [ __ ] over 6 - y'all look trash that's crazy there's no way for 65 [ __ ] outside of a chick just looking at you saying damn he's tall that's what you got a funny [ __ ] accentuates a sense of humor like two omegas can't walk in in tippy-toe yeah nah it's over and also says a lot it says a lot about a girl when you date a swole [ __ ] muscle-bound [ __ ] be shirtless in December in New York why are you dude it's freezing why are you so small though it's not even cool time to hit the gym hmm that's nuts are you going with this yeah that's all I'm saying yeah let myself go you can lift your liner I'm not gon I'm not confident much you gonna live it like [ __ ] my jeans on when it took about one time for my baby mama tarried around like fan I mean you just stripped down butt-naked but ass hey Socko I can't even sleep with clothes on wait if you have morning sex obviously the socks are off but ass when I walk in when I'm walking now I don't want to have clothes on can't even fall asleep if you're doing like an evening sex like we always got home from the boss I'm not having sex it even I got morning sex guys or like night night yeah at a point on it just say they might just come in my trouble oh you mean like I'd be trying to go ham in the morning if she wanted to sleep [ __ ] she's a [ __ ] oh my I wake up early as your girl with the heart digging in the back lower back yeah she's got it's gotta scoot over a little bit like ignoring did you have sex half sleep yes would I can't get my heyday I did I don't know what happened to me lately I would like I would say early being single though it is miswak because you really don't know when you're gonna have sex again you're trash Oh rolling the dice when you single like I might get some given it's a Russian there's one more the thought of not knowing is the best at the rail that's really we all relationship summer session I do miss that a little bit I could be an extra Thursday I tell you right now extra thirty is bat you can never make it fun yeah it's definitely like a review at Italian never coming back yeah you be action Thursday a while shoot you said oh if you never go back to that state yeah yeah you can get your [ __ ] oh [ __ ] off me to [ __ ] off Idaho yeah why wouldn't want to buy omit I would have definitely got my [ __ ] often oh my god so much filth happenin in Wyoming to run it out fire yeah we know yes this is the best job you can have if you're in if you're in school like do this yeah the best [ __ ] ever know when a coach I don't know what this is but well that's the funny thing uh when we was in school they wouldn't have encouraged us to do this yeah I never even knew what entrepreneurs all of the [ __ ] that my teachers told me would be necessary tools in my future they're not necessary tools mmm yeah bourbon [ __ ] miss running I've never used trigonometry a day in my life or geometry [ __ ] miss ridden she hated on me so crazy I'm so [ __ ] up she told me I was gonna be [ __ ] while she do that no no see if I stood at the same school though [ __ ] miss running she hit a black [ __ ] new black [ __ ] um wait something else happen it's important that the government shut down do we want to talk about a buck at buck ordering and killing young black bisexual and homosexual men in his apartment and they're laying not being charged and afraid add bulk y'all didn't read about this to us and Bucky our buck is a democratic party donator he sponsor he donates funds to the Democratic Party in LA this is the second young man a day I found dead in his apartment from an apparent overdose and last week a third young man came forward to say that Edie buck attempted to get a little freaky with him and suggested that he and Jack uh what was it whatever was a crystal meth crystal meth homeboy snitched on Edie Bucks whole little freaky operation and said he decided to get out of here for him is a kick he's trying to kill [ __ ] and Shina having the time that's the thing that's the thing just I mean I like a good time I'm not certain I think he's trying to have a good time and he's doing it incorrectly um either that or he gets off on killing young bisexual black men and I don't know he parts you don't to jail for that probably a guy said yeah yeah what else is some other stuff going on - the fire festival doc I saw the one on Hulu you need to Rory so that one watch it of course yeah did you like it uh hell yeah I was glued to my the edge of my seat it was hilarious ladies at the gyro thing yes yes there's two of them it's 1:00 on Netflix and it's one on Hulu the one on Hulu is called a fiery fart who put the little move they dropped their show early to jump the gun on Netflix so a is ja Rule leading off this no ja Rule is a defendant in that case it sounds like a way to make them I didn't I didn't know a good way to make a bread back I didn't know I intricate all that was I guess I got on to that that whole fiery festival scam late but watching the Hulu doc they basically show our homeboy Billy McFarlane has basically been a scammer a white-collar crime dude his entire life and his always kind of scam to cover up the latest scam yeah yeah it's all like he's Kim su cabeza he's a rob Peter to pay Paul time I had no choice but to watch that and feel like wow man talk about white privilege a black dude would never get that far in that scam no no like a black dude wouldn't be able to meet homeboy who ran whatever he ran and then he killed himself because he was a frosted ooze and nuts but uh that hulu that hulu doc is really really good I didn't see the Netflix whenever Rory sword maybe he could speak to it for us so from my understanding the hulu one had really actually in the film the dude was so the netflix one does not have him in it it has the actual staff that was employed by him and put the entire thing together the sort of it's the same staff but they explain everything one had some ex workers of the [ __ ] Jerry media team ex workers and the Netflix is made by [ __ ] Terry and [ __ ] Jerry they're named as defendants in the lawsuit as well there was a marketing team behind that partnered with fire you had to do all the [ __ ] [ __ ] well the Netflix wine it has a lot of comic relief like it starts out with the whole history but man is it [ __ ] funny to listen to all these people talk about how this [ __ ] fell apart and how I don't know raised I thought that this [ __ ] made me look at it I already thought it was crazy yeah this made me go away this is a whole extra like 250,000 to go see this show but then we've been paying a lot to wear to the offers cuz I'm one of my clients that I offer Oprah so it made it so hard to resist because everything was just like clashing like a crazy show huh did he or she do the show no we didn't go this just seemed crazy okay you know what you know your art is like worth you like see more when I was watching and it's never been done - like when has never been done that's when he's like oh no no no you got to protect your client there I'll be honest I was watching and I couldn't help but feel like while they were scamming I felt like I think I can throw this thing that's what you you got sometimes yeah so grilled cheese sandwiches I felt like I could partner with Spotify to come up with 10 to 15 acts that I personally would want to see at a performance right then I felt like I could partner with Rory and they could do like a deuce a party three nights in a row somewhere and then I started thinking about the sponsor the the sponsor money that they were scamming that somebody credible could actually go and get it's really feasible for somebody to throw an amazing weekend I mean exactly what they were pitching it can't happen tell me more that's why some of these festivals I don't know we're like well no in the dot alone the dock they explained they explain the birth of Coachella and some of these other festivals but do you all feel like there's a festival that exists currently that really speaks to the pulse of what's happening rolling out yeah that would be the closest rolling Lau for sure yeah that would be the closest and I mean Coachella to an extent but they're just on a way more massive yeah okay all right let me pass let me rephrase the question y'all don't feel like there's not room for another y'all would welcome another round Oh every [ __ ] day and they sell up justice what are you talking about no I wouldn't welcome another festival bro's too many festivals in general name naming all these festivals are too many bro there's litters a lot I mean I understand that name me all of the festival that you refer to you any names that don't matter offense was that do matter I want you to name as many festivals as you can I'm of the belief you probably won't be able to name the firefly Coachella parks relay aroma for FY a five music Midtown yep Lollapalooza made Bonnaroo made-in-america ovo fest Travis fest fest jobs caught fast know you're trying to prove your point but I think you might be proving mine the all these festivals get your naming generate how much income Oh a lot of my losing bro tell me about those because you have to understand like to you get to a point to where you're profitable you have to have a bit of brain like traction yeah because it's like at the end of the day these acts aren't cheap to book Kendrick Lamar is not cheap to book Drake is not cheap Travis guys not cheap so like if you're gonna meet both yeah so if you're gonna do that's like so for example you the reason why Coachella Lollapalooza like or rolling out for example like that's like that's like a good motto of a new festival that's able to turn profit because it's hard to book that many clients that maniacs that are like that popping and make it money back because you can always sell tickets per certain amount of you change my car if somebody were to start this festival I wouldn't assume them to think they would be making money back year one - right yeah but you also have to understand it's just like music we're like a [ __ ] popping for like a year but like falls off a year - because it's the certain level of like intellect that comes with booking the festival like this that's the reason why Tyler is so great because vlog naw you can tell is a curative festival that's on the post of the culture that's able to be branded outside of music it's not just music it's a lifestyle and that's where audience Rhymes gonna buy a ticket exactly same as Coachella is a lifestyle same as a lot of pools it's a lifestyle it's not it's not just music because anybody can do music I can put together festival and do music but like you have to do it in a way to where it makes sense yeah I meet this point of keeping that ticket price point low you're not making a [ __ ] ton of money off ticket sales it comes with all sponsorship whatever I don't know why Joe it's not called ja Rule on this podcast yet I'll tell you why because - two weeks ago before I knew of any fiery festival documentary um I was thinking to just pull up pull up episodes that I thought would be dope and ja Rule popped in my mind so I sent him a DM on Instagram and it said hey man [ __ ] is poppin we got sit down I thought that would be a great interview just so I could talk about how he ruined my fantasy football draft by drafting over my shoulder right and he hit me back and said yeah when I touched down let's talk about it and he touched something I'll be honest with you I thought that was an odd response that was a respond I felt like that was a response foot that should have been a response to somebody that maybe never had a conversation with so I thought it was a little odd and I just left it alone and then I saw that doc and it's a that's why you're not just confirming hidden views buddy I'm quite sure he's getting a lot of interview requests about this duck at the end of the dock it said hey we tried to reach out the ja rule and he said [ __ ] you yeah then they showed his drink champ [ __ ] well in the Netflix more yeah Netflix one he's involved in like the post call when they all get back from the Bahamas they use a lot of clips from him he's in the Netflix one a lot but not as a specific one a lot - yeah yeah take that mister I'll take Kareem heart no that's no watch that's what yes a go watch I saw it I was like oh [ __ ] dobrik acid yeah but pre Spotify more water really and all of that after trying to say he's changed as long as you pay your taxes I'm with it came in the game with money fill me Rory Moe man everything a Spotify be Rory's all that before the Spotify do mall said that jewelry well if I didn't any Rory and mall Rory got alliances with mall and parks and all right yes he's had it yes he's had it I my question was this has been a little more loose school I don't make these shirts bro like if you see it you see it you know me if you know you know Dennis ain't ya honey mmm-hmm that a st. yeah hey yeah yeah malls goes right now you knew yeah you know see what happens when you know you know he did his homework yeah you say [ __ ] like that what else what else is in for you oh speaking of docks and I'm not trying to have an in-depth conversation about this but I mention it since I've been on this dock binge on YouTube and in all these places right I was watching the doc I don't remember the name of it I don't remember what network and they were talking about how all of religion is manufactured and they were saying that gods are an idea that the government came up with usually off use when when when population although this isn't when population control was getting out of hand because they could no longer control the beliefs of the masses so they had to create fictional figures and that's that's what I read and when I went out whatever not whatever that's what I heard and then I was sad because like damn and I believed in God but it made sense no don't most religion I was sad outdate government no no no they don't no not at all I don't think so no but it was the world back then enough well maybe it's more populated and there was like food supply hell no it was [ __ ] biz and [ __ ] running all around the woods more animals ah yeah but it wasn't enough technology to kill it yeah I saw the grains and [ __ ] we mean made work yeah do y'all believe that all that should I just say it sounds like some foreign [ __ ] or do you believe there might actually be some science Petra I believe there's truth in most things but I'm not putting so much into that okay you don't think that religion I mean religion and God is two different concepts religion religion is something first of all I'm not a religious person right I don't identify with religion I think religion separates people I think it's you know it's politics yes this politics is money involved in religion I don't believe in that is people killing each other over their religious beliefs I can't attach myself to that I'm a spiritual person I believe in God I pray and stuff like that but I'm not a religious person so y'all don't care about the most like pic on Instagram being an egg huh no no I think I think it's cool it's a moment the news just in that's how bored we are on what it's gonna end up being yeah the next post is gonna be now don't do that just eggs agree now that's how boy we all win when the egg makes out like the hot like the top the top vibe I mean bikes I was only mad that the egg just created an account it was the eggs first post it was an ambitious caption saying hey let's break the record like that friends up it up for me and then they broke the record better yet eggs that's amazing and I'm telling the next posters gonna be somebody's mixtape added me that'd be what I need I'm copping the egg mix tape I bought the Windu's mix that's the [ __ ] listening session I want to get an attitude away I think I think we rich the kid is behind there that's great hey rich the kids girl was pregnant right Tory bricks oh I don't know she is pregnant yeah you lost you saved all your same room the dawn no yeah that'll say save on new that lost me there guy no no that same [ __ ] that only caught my attention because when I saw it I said damn he's better than me if I woulda got robbed but sure orders you'd never see me again wow she caught up she took a right hook for them he did say write her big right honey that was just to throw more I'm telling you about it that was the way she said don't hit me too hard she would took that like my hope Ben said she would have took that right lonely Joe Vitt dark she think it was nice knowing you you can I'm out [ __ ] you talk about but shout out to them is pregnant they posted an egg that guess that could be no time to oh my god this is amazing yes go inside believe where the kid is behind it and then his album comes out yes but no way you write this podcast is New York box I've noticed that since you've been here we've spoken about a lot of people that we never have we spoke while rich gay before we you should talk about you know more things that don't have to do in New York we do why would you say Joe just hates everything outside you know your cancer I hear giving neo hate most to New York [ __ ] that's not what you definitely hate everything outside you know I hate the idea of anything outside in your oh you [ __ ] idiots a little moving to LA get the [ __ ] out Joe loves them so years later loves la know that yeah well that's what I said when I saw Elliott Wilson celebrating his birthday in LA because he was he was thanking people that flew out there to party with him and then I thought about pops birthday part of this [ __ ] was doing my girl Ola partying like New York is better the Sun shines and it's more affordable also I love me ain't a lot of Sun is overrated no it ain't the Sun is mad cheap in LA Sony's get is so easy and the Sun as a whole lady just be every wish our Sun has standards and like only comes out and I'm mad for New York for driving all the creatives out cuz I Love New York is been my favorite city for whatever you pumping up bro it's me or her than my favorite city forever the creator's are still here you don't see the image let me finish if you go back Soho was the creative central in New York City it got so expensive and so overpopulated that drew them to Williamsburg woman's burg got then overpopulated and gentrified and all that [ __ ] and then they drew drew him out to [ __ ] Harlem and in Harlem is now popping and now they're in the [ __ ] Bronx like just as a creative where the [ __ ] are you supposed to go the readers living off creative like is their language you're moving all the creases and the black people to like Jersey City say what the good amount of man and that's driving the crater's out eighteen today that's that's that's why I'm upset and think all the careers are in LA I think I think I think it's about their creative yeah I don't know I think it's more creative friendly because it allows you to be in an environment to where like you can vibe I don't like none of the terms you use creative friendly I mean it is nobody's created more than you but creative friendly I add another word and change the whole terminology but it is though like I mean my thing about New York is like there's no energy that you can replicate on this planet like unless you're in New York City there's no energy that feels like it if like that is it right and that's what made the city so special that's why like the heyday was like New York City's like best like hams an but like now it's just like were like in order for me to live in New York City I need to make six times more than I actually can afford things just like well like I thought like la is that far off either but the thing about LA is word I think about LA is that you can drive New York you can't drive yeah I can take the train you know I gotta buy a car out there yeah but it's like you can drive in New York if you're driving LA you could drive in New York it's just more accessible in like in LA so it's so it's so much more space is cheaper you could drive huge case so much more cheaper it's cheaper the like you like to get a Gatorade in New York was like six dollars and I was like what to shoot my face Oh timeout is there what did the blue one yes um does anybody care about at least keys hosting the Grammys Chester no I don't know why that was the decision I wanna hear some jokes she's Alicia Keys is hosting the Grammy cold mic that's interesting man if you're just now joining us Cameron art is not only not doing the Oscars he's not gonna apologize for it again I'm just throwing it out there to done apologizing he's doing an anon apology service run right now cuz a in a way that's an apology no no he's of all guys nine times no spank apologize they all apologize anytime you're doing a fresh run based off of you not apologizing that's apologize no it's an apology it is it is um what else did I want to ask you guys about randomly I want to ask you guys about Big Sean what is happening with Big Sean it's just letting no more justice you [ __ ] with Paul Rosenberg who's that deaf Jim so Big Sean's on Def Jam he's letting all that magnet toxic [ __ ] just clear what what everyone's mind what's your question about Big Shot what's happening what big show I mean it sounds like I mean don't sound like anything where it's his Twitter a while back he said he was going through like some personal issues like on some like health health vibes so like lemonade Gavin said it yeah let my [ __ ] I miss deaf health vibes or how much longer we got we just thought don't [ __ ] on mental health it's been a while they've had a good run but how much longer though always no stops keep accepting that a lot of y'all mentally hope it's gonna rock gonna rock for a while it should come on man that's that's like that's like the new I got hacked bro it's more it's more positive than theirs now I'm not saying that people don't have mental health issues that's not what I'm saying and I'm not I wonder I sympathize for people that deal with that I do yeah but come on we got to stop being able to be like I how do we know you have materials yo didn't tell me your bars start decreasing this time I've done to do with this yeah I don't direct it to mental health for [ __ ] pause big shots paws gallows shaky attiny so he's suffering from her to health now I mean I don't know but I'm just saying like all that writer's block was mitts well yeah don't tab me I do believe that janae probably got it spin alone it's hard to bounce back out to control after control is hard to like regain we gain strength say no woods so I so I'm looking all u in your eyes when asked when I say I got mental health I don't want any job let me get the [ __ ] out it listen what the boy draped what Drake said I'm the only blessed when I was there like I haven't heard from Big Sean since Drake said it wasn't no blessings without me it wasn't true no Blake shot be crazy yeah what Drake was all blessed each I know this forever listen up you talked I'm a big sean fan yeah Jolie not so much tell me - I'm not really somebody really function I mean I don't that don't just say he does it but I do believe he's overrated you said no overrated yeah where's he ready [Laughter] but but he is it that's the thing he's a great rapper he's a grabber but like at the end of the days like you know you know he has hits though I want to say shot show yeah she went to Big Sean show and it was a lot of hits so we'll give him that yes yes him you can't make bounce back in that bounce back you got to bounce back I think that's his problem he's not consistent enough he's not he doesn't yeah he just be dressing nice and pictures with Khalid we want to hear something big sean is like the wale with hits a wall a name to get used too much no I just said that Jay Cole was the wale of his tier now you saying [ __ ] sean is the wale Oh like has hits too he does but as well they got more hits than [ __ ] give him credit for bumping any raps better than Nikki as Big Sean's because I a sticky hit fight hit Sam I'll hit like like big sean has his hits that's the difference between him and well I don't think your dick bad was a hit bad yeah I was going back to 2010 just asking was it a hit hit it was a hit hit but Big Sean as I like have five more after that okay he's not consistent yeah that's the thing I I believe that I believe that Big Sean is somewhere he's supposed to be in everybody think that he's supposed to be he hasn't proven it's remember where you heard at first people you won't be getting a Big Sean black record either these are my thoughts and I talk [ __ ] all day and then I do that Nick is there such thing as that and hip-hop give you if you work with somebody and you have thoughts aren't they those person's thoughts - yeah cuz [ __ ] are soft yeah yeah it's like that's it doesn't make sense like we are two different humans that met and work together there's nothing to do with his taste and my taste and what he likes I don't make the ruler yes honestly honestly if you're an artist that feels like you know a way about it and doesn't so the black ever just be like yeah you right when you say these things no black lager calls me crazy does anybody care about Rihanna suing her dad more magic she was a sob snow wasn't yeah yeah yeah I like that yeah wait so that shot a girl is Rihanna I just restore myself oh she's late thing is Rihanna restoring the feeling that's always feel she restored the feeling like you just like did you really just ask that like that's all that was this is like you did you really just say on Azure storage thing I can't say no cuz Rihanna DM senses you feel better s fire those are we on a damn sense of Sanka feel better than you and congratulations rounded young pretty my [ __ ] boy I played before going to be about to boogie on diem Mars boogie too I gotta get my [ __ ] shot out reflex but okay what you damn right you do best rapper out no she might on me yes she did when bugs album coming out 25th 25th of January any features huh yeah big features we can you tell us any nope shady there's no secret society over there you know that Joe I don't know anything yes you do we walked into a bowling event I was telling you this off the air but I'll give you a mild version walked into a bowling event and uh it was kaiser's bowling event Kaiser works in Atlantic and I we walked in on Los Angeles I pan to my left and I saw a Paul Rosenberg standing there looking tall he's [ __ ] looking six foot seven who's weird they know what's going on your shirt so then I kept walking never the case and I kept walking and then I looked again I didn't see him anymore and I was like damn and Paul just maybe bounced cuz I came in but then I felt good about it but yeah the [ __ ] out why'd you feel good [ __ ] it to [ __ ] anything I'm gonna really go walk-in number one number two you want now hanging out at bowling events when Sloane announced me neither sell some records goddamn it you think that what it done it feels you are now talking about some hey new yg coming no [ __ ] no no no sorry here's the street team I don't know wait but I got pause back though wait where y'all outside yeah we're not really be outside you outside now could you know Jill women Punkins you bother true he was dying but y'all was awesome no Josie was inside was only if she was rapping about being inside and how much you want him to go outside cuz you don't want to go outside and that's that's selfish no nook a bad medieval out no but I would say that's the only reason outside about it but then so when he left well I did wipe all leave but then I remember what Paul left cuz I said bunch of bad things about Paul but then I said to myself oh I think that's corny I think that's super corny that executives get to feel like you have a problem with them just because you think they're bad executives okay so let me just say a Paul I'm no brown with you Paul I love Paul Paul's excellent I think you have no idea what it's doing the same way I think a bunch of their executives have no idea what they doing mmm Def Jam Kevin Laue they have a [ __ ] idea what he was doing a bunch of executives out there they have no idea what they're doing they collecting checks scared to get fired from their job that's what's happening Haggar they don't mean is beef yeah a lot of yes they'd be done wrongly win yeah no I mean think I think that's I think that's coming to an end no house why is it because the business is changing no no the businessman I mean you see we see we see in it people end up taking random jobs that random companies with random titles that shows you that [ __ ] has happened and parts are moving things are coming into play is like it's not gonna be much longer way executives are just sitting in music officer executives are sitting in offices controlling music you're right it's not gonna be it's not much longer change is happening for sure yeah now they're definitely getting the [ __ ] out of here but in the same breath though a lot of executives have been able to escape for so long because they can just throw money at things that are working right right but in the same breath like mall said like you know like the independent and the idea of the self distribute it's just like more you know relevant than ever so it was just like no a lot of them are gonna become not relevant because you can't do [ __ ] for me but throw me a check but in the grand scheme of things if you gave a [ __ ] about your future you will not take that check and better yourself yeah what we're seeing what we're gonna see a lot this year and and months to come are companies and corporations who have a whole lot of money just throwing it around and not really having any real clue of what they're doing see money might might attract money but it don't necessarily attract people that know what they're doing isn't attract intellect yeah not not at all not at all a few weeks ago I talked about apples purchasing of I heart last week I talked about Sirius is purchasing of Pandora this whole week I've been glued to Steve Harvey losing his daytime show to Kelly Clarkson and I'm glued today they didn't tell him according to Steve Harvey they have not notified him however he believes his show will be canceled for Kelly Clarkson's show to precede the Ellen show so NBC is moving around all of the places that create content need content distribute content is a lot of moving pieces so if you're a creator al there I would suggest that you pay a lot of attention to all these things I can't speak further than that in this podcast because the powers to be are listening and [ __ ] one of them that no no no I don't want them to know that I am I'm as smart as I am no no no no and that's been the problem and that's been the problem because it's like what these [ __ ] do is they try to play [ __ ] for a dumber than what they actually are and they use money because they understand [ __ ] don't have [ __ ] so they use money as like a form of control but [ __ ] them [ __ ] honestly y'all [ __ ] is preaching the right [ __ ] and don't not don't censor yourself because [ __ ] listen [ __ ] them they know and I might lose my day laughter no no you got a few deals so you'll be fine and on and second of all no we don't know I'm talking [ __ ] but no we don't we don't censor ourselves a lot of important conversations we try to have we attempt to have and if we fail at having it we just fail to do so it's not because uh we were scared or intimidated to do such I think that we have somehow covered everything I think no no Sara Lee true no because I don't want you leave executives no because I'm tired of all I'm also tired of corporations treating urban music like it's urban music like [ __ ] always use urban music as a reason why the shortchange [ __ ] and that's not cool like honestly like I agree you go to a show and you be like yo we're having a show we sold out all these tickets 10,000 tickets whatever it is and [ __ ] treat you like oh this is a rap show the rules change I'm like nah [ __ ] out here like rap R&B we are the number one streaming genre like you can't be bias on other on all the channels are you experiencing it all that all the time really yes Live Nation specifically whoa I was gonna ask what companies are with venues companies and venues like even these all the videos yeah I mean even even if we're gonna go past venues like companies like [ __ ] gave [ __ ] rap deals forever it was a rap deal like yeah I'm sayin like the [ __ ] yeah like the recoupment was like so low and like all the splits was all [ __ ] up and you know like the the NR cost and the marketing cost was also low as like not a [ __ ] [ __ ] out here like yeah I'm not gonna do that to rap I understand it's cheaper to make because [ __ ] literally be in its spot just like this and just won't create but like no y'all gonna go this I'm gonna hire him spot so not just like this but you say like I'm just saying like they're not gonna do that bro light and all these names got to be called out and that's the reason why I really I really call for more independence cuz it [ __ ] [ __ ] up and like you know it's time it's really time and like I'm being advocated for it they hate when artists are you know realized what's going on and get smart and educate themselves on the business but I feel like you know the creatives just you can comment you can feel it I'll tell you can feel creatives knowing that they can do these things like sometimes you would sit in the room with executives and CEOs of companies and you go in there with a low insecurity like these are dudes that have done all these major deals and did that and then you get in the room with them you feel like I'm smart no probably I'm yeah like a dumb it happens a lot more than people think right you sit in the room with these people that have these high positions and made all these millions of dollars for Linux by the way yeah but it's like you still having a conversation and you're like I'm smarter than this too like then that's when you turn into the animal and make [ __ ] happen offer relations and on top of that it's just like you know as a new artist they always feel like they need to take the money but in the same breath there's so many other ways to make money as a new artist and I mean it's really about cultural currency right if you got understand like right now what the money is in hip-hop I know everybody's always screaming shows but no is about it's about brands aligning with artists okay right cuz everybody has their own everybody has their their urban approach because in order to be a relevant company in order to be Wendy's as a good Twitter you got to have urban approach you got to be able to talk to black Twitter right and that's just a reality of it so just like in that same breath you gotta understand as an artist as a new artist there's so many different ways to make money than advance check because that advantage seconds might you got to make back right so in that same breath you know Nike is not just gonna like count on like how hot these shoes are they're gonna brand the [ __ ] shoe brand yourself as a [ __ ] artist and you are going to make the money that you need the streaming money or whatever you need to sell records that's gonna come right but you know and also there's so many other different ways to also you know like to also make the money you know there's different avenues like Steve Stoute has like you know branded a whole different vibe like where you go to you know Silicon Valley and all these people have money they treat they treat music like art music is definitely art and it having that catalog is definitely more valuable than you know anything right so like when you a new artist find a different way to get that float money that you need to make some bread yeah II don't know Steve so how do you find these different ways I don't know Steve's town has the car fixed Carfax to kind of do what he's doing what you eat I mean it's not about the CARFAX what people think of when they hear his name he's not about the CARFAX about the culture is about the cultural currency no I'm with you there I find no fault in what he's doing they're doing the right thing doing what he should be doing I've tried to ask him a million questions to refute some of the she's doing it all sounds legit I'm only talking about the things that people think when they hear the name Steve Stoute versus what he's doing today it's conflicting a little bit are you interested also chequered yeah well I'm one of the first executives to put brands with hip hop right right you would think she's oh yeah whatever yeah I mean I guess going into the ad agency space is very similar to that so I just maybe with hip hop you could say no but I think he's doing that just in other places now it's just with State Farm in the NBA rather than Reebok and jay-z so what do you think for a new artist is a way that they can help like attract these brands she just [ __ ] like a [ __ ] business right right get a [ __ ] debt is a business a business manager or CPA something in that in that vibe right and project yourself as a business like as a brand yo in this year I'm gonna make this much and in 2025 I'm gonna make this much make that [ __ ] like like like legible so you can see it and in that same breath that's at that point of time if you can't prove that numerically you can you can get that money you could really get that money you shoot an email to somebody like there's a lot of [ __ ] with money that are trying to figure out to bury it a lot of [ __ ] not paying taxes trying to figure let's reset it so it was just like has the biggest either they told you bury money no Wow why would ever do that good guy good guy we got sweeper it's a good guy right there smoke self-promotion who's a boogie sound LaRon is asleep or something no no that's it was job oh my play the sleeper yes oh my homegirl my homegirl you know I'd be [ __ ] her name up but it is my homegirl yeah you got a s I a was saying Asian yes yes yes yes indeed Jackie she put an album out and I gotta be honest with you justice this is what the summer album should have sounded like sorry sorry branch that summer she divided females of this toxic masculinity no notice now was fire but was it have to do with summer summer he's killing it if don't y'all put another [ __ ] album out of 30-second Psalms why not I'm off you not cuz I like music I mean what's that to do with like a music that's an artist if you have something to say it was 30 seconds worth what why no why do you have to yourself if you have something to say there's 30 seconds worth keep it to yourself tomorrow stream it go go go home and throw me home and tell your heart it's like wide it's would have 140 characters fam because there's really a lot to [ __ ] up this don't mean sell another summer Walker album for 30 second song why not why not good it's a mistake it's a it's a personal preference you want something that's longer but if our artist has something to say that last 30 seconds why are you gonna be the one why are you gonna be the suit to tell somebody that you're somebody that yo you can do some name I'm not as sued I speak from I speak from the consumer standpoint yeah and the consumers damn I never want to hear thirty second I joined her cs2 I asked if it's a mixtape or album because I can't tell what anything is anymore there's just a body of work yeah but but in the grand scheme it [ __ ] make whole songs man makes whole song but what did you try it with blue but I wouldn't try with black but what is a whole song a song by [ __ ] named Kelvin yeah like what my G right why are you coping a whole song is a complete thought so if the thought is complete that's it you lost the battle or that's you gotta come to night because you never do see we're casting on the air I Maggie the smoker most of her complete thoughts we're short um what do you want her to have a complete thought at 22 you wanted to have a four-minute thought like my [ __ ] like Bach made me [ __ ] world with 22 because because mercy because [ __ ] grew up off of vine compilations and war star comics like and you know our attention span would you put a black album out with with a lot of those [ __ ] 60-second song I'll put a black out my TV hummed for the whole album because if that's what his [ __ ] artistic artistic vibe wanted to preach my [ __ ] give it to it and I'm not a good man and I'm not being 40 you gotta realize you told us somebody that loves a seven-minute rep yeah you sound like my Karen honestly do sound like jokes that's all Joe sound like this hook isn't catchy enough give me another one [ __ ] 30 seconds just to take this elbow alright so I'll take it I'll take the help all right so I'm gonna play somebody who's a little longer winded than 30 seconds um and that's [ __ ] up dude was I was the biggest summer Walker support I don't like did you paint me like that like I wasn't rocking like I was rocking now you were I was rocking I mean don't make it sound like because I have a valid gripe there is not matter you will have approved any validity to any of your grapes haven't have it not one bro not one what are you doing listen I'm not mad at that actually from a new artist is Shorter's what is the next summer project oh my god David when is this drop what this pocket yeah tomorrow but but there's nothing to do with the fact that you still have no validity grapes and you got to stop spreading that [ __ ] message because that's just [ __ ] cuz I see [ __ ] and summers mentions and I get high every time cuz of yo ass spray and I'm like yeah that's some [ __ ] because no I literally to the negative you don't like in these seconds when they told you to have a hook well will you tell [ __ ] [ __ ] out of your fam no drop in my [ __ ] that's not true nobody cared about me without doing movies explain so I said you needed a hook I'll just write a few Joe [ __ ] don't care but I'm here got a [ __ ] that's like I was giving a talk all right you know what you know [Music] all righty I'm gonna play a record you do all three weeks world rappers love to rhyme girl that was sure some readers yeah he's making his rounds more exactly well we won't talk about it but me and you had a conversation about that night and you was telling me how you liked you liked how [ __ ] made it uncomfortable that's why I liked it like I like to make executives uncomf-- get out get out [ __ ] why are you bowling what's your least favorite executive Oh Oh Street Joe let's hear it that was a good question it's a great question he loves them all my least favorite executive Rambla allen grumbling you won Iguodala in your fold nice to know what still there and that's why he's my least favorite in folding there took all our royalties they haven't folded I don't know what else you want me to tell you outside of Allen grumbling I don't know who's exactly today but uh I still got Kevin Laue smoke okay see all my all my executive smoke hey [ __ ] that's our personal to me got it like when I bumped into Kevin left when I was working with Kevin Laue I didn't know that Kevin Liles didn't know a [ __ ] thing got it and it hindered me when I got down grumbling which I didn't know that he didn't know a [ __ ] thing and it hindered me when I got the Paul Rosenberg I didn't know that he didn't know a [ __ ] thing I know you can't say that but yeah and it's hindered me so like I like the New Age executives I like the [ __ ] like I like [ __ ] like Sikkim war shot to say I like [ __ ] like yeah I mean like [ __ ] like Sycamore sad [ __ ] dad was like on ground level street level in tune in touch with what was happening out there and they yeah us and brought it back to the label and then they still have a position in music [ __ ] that the label has to kind of just like bend for because [ __ ] like Sycamore couldn't get in unless like he made his point yeah poopy over at Atlantic and my bad poopy Orlando over at Atlantic like there's some executives that's bringing in young vibrant artists as generating generating some good [ __ ] in the music business other than that all you all [ __ ] that have your own agendas your own objectives not really sharing Intel sharing wealth sharing ways to succeed not really open minded not open to new wage idea is not open to digital ideas just not open to very much stuck in your own ways in your own formats and your old dinosaur ass ideas I'm off it you'll be out change that though do that cuz cuz no I said we got to change that because like I always see you guys talk about the Union right and it's not a real thing is that nobody's everybody should be nobody ever gonna to work but because that [ __ ] takes a lot of work but the same breath is that like I believe you guys like with as much you know audience in a much power you guys have like people to listen to you and give a [ __ ] about who you are um find different you know like new ways to get the message across right it's like for example like I've been thinking I'm like your reason I'm like yo as a new artist what do you care about the most it's like trying to figure how to market yourself so I'm like alright I want to personally put out all of like you know blacks marketing takes month marketing you know campaigns that we've done yeah I'm saying just like literally put it out so [ __ ] can get that Intel because it's so important because it's not about like hugging it because I can't dance like a share I'm a shear story in closing this week I was doing a commercial for someone who shall remain anonymous in the commercial spot was basically telling everyone to walk out of their jobs and a few people I was doing this spot around they laughed and I was like damn they really want [ __ ] to walk out of there walk out of their jobs and then I said I know we're joking that was just a commercial spot but in Joe's psycho brain that is exactly what should happen and the person I was talking to was confused and they said what do you mean and I said well it's exactly what's happening and with the government shutdown right this second Donald Trump is trying to funnel some money for some [ __ ] that we would never allow him to funnel money from for he's manufacturing an enemy for the public to be afraid of and that's what the standoff is from so the same thing that I suggest in music which is a stoppage of work seeing music on this podcast I've been talking about a stoppage of work so we could really get an order with a refund lling of the money right that's not the same the same thing work that's that's your opinion no no no I tell you why it's not gonna work it's mad tell me because it's a simple thing of music or artists haven't played the long game in so long there's no catalog so artists is gonna break before the label you're talking about you're talking about some different than I am it's like it's like it's like an artist is going to break as far as have to put out music before label does because the artists have kept there's young thirsty kids that are coming just some shame which is why black justice is talking about something different and I'm come out and I'm talking about a hypothetical situation to where as people stick to their guns and everybody stops the same way the government shut down people are stopping until somebody figured something out I was relating that that music [ __ ] to the world I do agree but if I won't go too far or to stop making music does that does that mean music is gonna stop game played know everybody will never stop them no I mean music is not gonna stop getting played because you will not gonna stop because let's know a little bird but let me go a little further with my point before you all and eject with all the ways that this wouldn't work in music I'm proposing a refunding re re funneling of the money and that it would take a stoppage of work and it would take a commitment from some people that we need one from the same way in the real world right I do think that if a few people just stopped working it would refund all the money in America same same premise you don't need everybody to do it you only need who do you need you need whoever's gonna stop public transportation we need them but that's not who ever is gonna stop the schools we need them whoever's gonna stop you only need a few that's beautiful to stop everything to stop the infrastructure of society as we know it it's not the same thing in music should happen in society why is it not the same because that's physical labor you can write you can physically see what it takes to stop driving the bus because [ __ ] can't go nowhere but why do I keep saying is different but contrary stop making music you and I still play his shoes yes you're right you mean you mean ignorant right now yes all of the labels could play their greatest hits catalog right I'm trying to change the future so I'm talking about stopping but did I ever eat something that's home out the past all the labels can only put out Greatest Hits [ __ ] CDs the big changes no the problem that I would see actually happening is that different people have different contract terms so for instance the Beatles might have a contract for the next 20 years with whoever their capital and so their [ __ ] is good capital is good they're staying afloat no matter [ __ ] what and Uzi Burt might have still a contract forever they could play all my friends are dead for the next [ __ ] 50 years it doesn't matter but with Josie you could play notion that you could play that all you want if the labels are not generating new music and money period they will go damn much money what I'm saying but with what I'm saying is that like as labels versus artists or how artists make income versus how labels make income it's two different ways oh no you don't need it we don't need to argue you're right so what I'm saying is that like as an artist you can't make it that far because after five years of this strike you are going to break before UMG does stop see I don't think you would need five years of a straw I think you would need everybody stoppage of work for six months I think it takes a little longer than that all right say a year say a year five years if there's no new music made for a year significant change I don't know what jobs on the mouth you will see some change for sure but you but and and some people will start coming to the table with a little more open mind in this as to how the money is funneled in music in a dick swinging contest pause nobody is going to lose to the artist when you have more control because you own their master yes you will because you can't create [ __ ] but there is not about that's with the [ __ ] that create will always be the winners there so listen two years two years ago you mg was a ten billion dollar company a of researchers went out said UMG 2 years after is worth 56 billion or 53 bill whatever that is right at the end of the day there's enough residual money for people that are in charged to where they are not going to lose the battle just where they make all their money you're in luck the money's just ego it's been there today I'm not gonna lose this back I disagree with everything y'all helped Vivendi that owns ug right on and I just want to point out we've never done a podcast this long so let's close it no I mean no I mean my point is I agree I think that we need to figure out a way to restructure the power but I don't believe that a strike is going to be the realistic way let's talk about real like real solutions that's not that's not do you have not real huh what - you might be real what - me I don't have the answer that's young artists refusing besides with major labels is probably a more realistic type of thing that'll come in streaming sites resin idols independents that's a different type of stuff independence is a stoppage I'm talking Mouse topic right however you want to have you unquantified that that's right and that's the reason why I got mad I do not think that the music business can withstand off solely with residuals think I don't they can I don't that's how they make what do you mean that's what they do I don't what do you mean as as a label a something whether especially especially especially especially this room an Arab row like it's [ __ ] q4 December labels make more money off of Christmas albums of the same records that they've made in a year you kind of stand like [ __ ] are simple [ __ ] literally don't care for new music only us do mmm only us really do so if you really want to talk about like a battle of like who's gonna withstand vs. who like delay was gonna win oh but it was only you keep saying that only you keep saying if everybody stops who's gonna win I'm not saying I that's not a question for me I do not believe what you're saying now we won't find this out because this ain't gonna happen but no I totally disagree with y'all no it's gonna happen if you keep empowering that change the future this way y'all telling me everything will stay the same because the labels gonna make all they know everybody stops that's not true no no that's what I said you're you you need to keep in pound to me directly I will fold you need to keep empowering [ __ ] like chance that's what you need to keep empowering because if he and there's more [ __ ] like him that are able to what we're talking about independence able to preach that in a certain way to we're like no [ __ ] I'm a finesse to [ __ ] that does not mean I'm not independent I'm a finesse to [ __ ] and I'm a really figure out how to like get some bread out of this [ __ ] and that's how you're really gonna get the change inside because when it becomes a marketshare thing you gotta say like UMG versus [ __ ] warner versus sony it's a market share thing they all really just enter for big sweet like big dick swinging contest so when the independent finds a way to have more market share that's when the shift changes jörg I know I know he's right because he's agreeing with me if there was a stoppage and all the artists stopped who do you think would have most of the market share not the artists because hit record on gonna have more market yeah I know hit the hit makers are with me that doesn't stop Billy gene from still being a hit record for years now Billy gene vs. my tomorrow record on tomorrow's money so you know how much money cost challenge you think you should - radio ad I'm following I'm listening you know how much money it takes yours it takes for to be a number one record grant us outside of streaming it's a lot of fun lot of money yeah and if a [ __ ] stops making records because they're not with the label and they trying to strike they're not going to be able to have and consume that radio know what oil teas are gonna make up for more than any any of it no I know what what you saying is wrong because 2 to 3 X keep the lights on at every label correct The Beatles Frank Sinatra Michael Jackson Prince but that's off of hit records we can't records keep the lights on I don't know hit records keep the lights on it's not streaming artists hit records keep the lights on we're gonna give a [ __ ] how many times you streamed at the end of the day until you have a hit record the light turn off so who has all the hit records wait timeout I'm asking a question who has all eight records if everybody stops and the hit makers are with me you got to understand with what I'm saying is that but what I'm saying is that if Drake decided to stop making music today right mm-hmm that's fine I said that's a Drake potent protest but Drake is not going to be able to put out music anymore because he's under the universal contract so without with that being said you needed a universal for them to still generate more performance royalties they can play old Drake records it doesn't change in you changing even if he does decide to put out ready they can keep reira leasing [ __ ] hold on really you can decide it you can't decide to take records in it they know what I would say because that comes down good luck if you would like to attempt to continue to release just hold on we're going home I'll be home well the labels they have a lot of money saying good luck that's a stand also yeah itself I understand what Joe Joe's right with you I am on your side that's what I'm an wit justice in parks yeah even if I'm wrong but say I'm wrong I don't know everything right I would like to find the right answer to this I will too and that's what I'm saying that's that's what let's empower more [ __ ] like chance that's literally what it is he's right it's literally what it is don't call him and if she playing because he got Apple needs to do that's smart he owns his masters no chance it's more yes listen listen power chance all right ladies gentlemen that was our longest podcast ever no Rory and Maul did not tell you did not address any of the underage Foxy Brown rumors but I mean what do you
