The ice gets another one

hey we are pulling up to a jack knife accident right now this guy came down coming down the straight stretch here it's kind of downhill lost it on this ice holy crap this is slick he's completely Jack knifed around so let's uh let's see what we got going on here oh yeah all right how you doing hey man um there's a turnout up there I think I'm going to go up there and turn around and then I'll come back this way and pull your front end back around and pull you up out of here um nothing leaking under the truck it's all running good everything like everything intact okay got it pretty good see it on over yeah it is slick slick scary slick so all the way up man I drove all the way from just I got right here all right I'll uh I'll go get turned around we'll get pulled out of here okay I'm going to go hit the turnout we are for sure turning on some auto chains and we'll be right back okay we're back and this is nasty nasty slick yeah very nasty slick need new to release anything don't do anything yet leave it all as is okay let's get a sling like this and we'll grab a couple shackles here the master link okay both of you want to stand over here but way you're out of the way of anything actually set your trailer brakes and release your tractor then clear up over here set the trailer set the trailer release the tractor okay we're going to get some boom out here so we want to do a bit of a lift on this front end as we pull to help get it out of all that a little elevation on this just need to make sure this isn't going to dig into the grill it's going to do what I want okay got to go ahead and head over there before I get this tensioned up perfect okay I might have to back up a lot closer so I'm lifting more than pulling depending on how well my truck's going to stay still but actually maybe not okay is this going to come away okay nice everything good underneath okay he is loaded too so got a bit of weight okay that popped free by releasing the tractor it's going to let those Wheels do what they want to turn and the trailer is going to hold us in place ideally I'm very happy with how still my truck is staying very very happy with how still my truck is staying okay all right I'm going to free spool and move forward Spades okay I'm pull up ahead okay we go very easy just in case it didn't freeze full now we see the line moving on our camera everybody asked me about that camera it is a Garmin camera and it's junk absolute junk disconnected most of the time super delayed just goes black screen and freezes up one time it froze up for like an hour and then when it came back to life it was as I was backing up a truck but an hour later I was driving down the road I thought a truck was about to ruin me I freaked out but that wasn't what was happening okay now if you want to hop in the driver's seat for this part go ahead and hop in the driver's seat now okay and you'll turn the wheels about halfway this way halfway yep I'll be over there to tell you okay we're going to pull up some tension turn your wheel to the passenger side a little more right there hold that right there and just hold your steering wheel straight right where it's at okay we got a miles of visibility here which I really like okay hopefully it starts to roll forward a little bit once we get them out pretty good I might go to the passenger side of my truck to get a little more of a sideways pull or out onto the road pull right on that bracket should hold we'll watch it oh yeah that's fine okay uh manual or automatic auta put it in Drive okay give a little throttle straighten up your wheel towards me right there and give just a little throttle as I pull I want it to walk forward not over into the ditch more okay go ahead and put it back in neutral and set your brake I'm going to hook you up down lower so it pulls over more yes there they are you can hear them need another shackle knock the ice out of the hole it is so slippery as I pull on the cable I'm just sliding towards my truck close this back up okay we going to pull our boom back in now that'll be good no traffic oh fre spool okay I'm going to bring this up some just a little more clearance to come up forward with them see if our boom's in the way here which it doesn't look like it is okay release all your brakes and leave it in neutral for a sec there now we're pulling them out onto the road not back over into the ditch [Music] okay set your brakes I'm going to free SP and pull forward one more time and we'll bring you all the way up on the road one more pull hopefully oh my gosh this is slick I wish the temperature go back down uh it is like 29° right now and it rained on top of all the ice we had just made the nastiest slick slime ever when it was 0° and 10 below and all that you got all the traction in the world like Stam there like driving on pavement but this here has been uh nasty with this warm warmer weather okay hopefully that brings him far enough onto the road where he can drive the rest of play [Music] on okay problem is you go too far forward it's just pulling his front end back down towards the ditch but I don't want to get in the other lane so that's just what we're going to do okay release all your brakes and put it in drive but don't give any throttle and just hold your front wheel right there don't let it turn see if I was closer it's going to pull him out more the farther away I get the more it's going to pull him over towards the ditch just string line effect but it's looking like it's doing what we want if you really have to to get them to come out and not just get pulled down the road kind of like that's doing you just do a bunch of super short pulls so you're always pulling at that angle and move forward 100 times but obviously you want to move forward the least amount of times okay we got to get his trailer through and he's loaded so Drive tires on Ice trailer coming through the ditch he won't be able to pull himself out of that I bet I I say I love this remote be able to stand wherever I want and watch whatever I want and direct the driver and all that stuff while running my truck from anywhere so much easier okay there's the trailer in the ditch please come out of there all right man if I was forward like another 15 ft or so that's all coming up nice though okay go ahead and turn back to the passenger side little more right there so close I think he's up okay is your power divider locked in your inner axle diff okay lock it okay see if you have enough traction to pull forward a little bit just just a couple feet to see if you can if you're free or not okay perfect I'll get you un hooks sh problem with everything being wet and it's still being below freezing cuz it gets wet and then it freezes the tool boxes are doing that the shackles are all doing it with the yeah okay I'm going to pack this up get paid and then I'll see you in just a minute okay we're all good so I'm I'm going to pull straight ahead you go around me and head out of here and then I got to back up and get all my cones and stuff so I'll just pull up out of your way show oh thank you you have a good one you too he's got duels and super singles mixed together on the trailer so he got a little bit of damage to the back of his cab okay I'm going to back up and go get my cones and stuff and knock some of that snow and crap off the road so I was shoveling off the road here and uh plow truck shows up he says don't worry about it he'll go up there spin around and he'll plow all this off for me so thank you Mr Plowman I'll go grab my cones and get off this road hey we got the cones picked up we're headed out if you're wondering how slick it is it's slick let's go truck's coming but it's a hay hauler he's paying attention he slowed down way ahead of time so that's good yeah I threw on those uh ice cleat I got those V bar ice cleat chains I just put those on the back axle to help out some we're going to let this hay hauler guy go around us okay he went in right here jack knife and went all the way up around over there stuck in so he was moving he did damage the sleeper a bit so he got that pretty good everything else seemed fairly fine okay hey holler man's paying attention followed me slow down the road here now he's going to go on by these guys are rolling so I'll follow them all out of here all that was a nice little recovery uh suxy damag his truck but it came out of there pretty good I'm very very happy with how well the zacklift did and how planted everything stayed and was able to was pull them on this ice I was worried about my truck sliding but that thing hooked right in and did exactly what I needed it to do so very very happy with it all right we're going to head home and see what's next
