under this water. - I know what I saw. You ever get scared
from the things you feel? <i> - Yes, I do.</i> - Okay, this is kind of creepy. - [screaming] - This is when the energy
starts to really amp up. It's as if
Mother Nature is angry. - Yes.
- Jeez. <i> - I know she's here.</i> <i> This is, like,
a movie setting for a ghost</i> <i> to just walk in front
of the car.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> I think I've had just about
enough of this lake.</i> <i> [eerie music]</i> ♪ ♪ <i> My name is Kim Russo,</i> <i> and I am a psychic medium.</i> <i> When I was nine,
I was visited</i> <i> by the first
of many dead people</i> <i> who wanted to communicate
with the living through me.</i> <i> Realizing that I couldn't

a number of times, but I've not been back
to White Rock Lake since I lived here
back in the '80s. <i> I'm very curious
to see what's about</i> to take place here and to talk about what I saw <i> when I was living here.</i> <i> I know in the back
of my mind,</i> you're thinking
it could happen again. ♪ ♪ <i> Ever since that night,</i> certainly,
I definitely believe. ♪ ♪ <i> - I'm headed over to a place
called White Rock Lake</i> to meet with the one and only,
Kevin Sorbo. He was the star of the
long-running show "Hercules." I picture him with
his muscles hanging out, that long hair, sort of like that harlequin
romance type of guy. You know, he comes in
and saves the day for everyone. <i> But today,
he's asking for my help.</i> Kevin had a paranormal
experience many years ago. Something happened at that lake
that he has questions about. I feel that there's some type of
energy near this lake that warrants investigation. ♪ ♪ <i> So even though I'm going</i> to help Kevin uncover the truth to his story, I have a feeling I might uncover a few other truths,
as well. ♪ ♪ [projector clicking] [thunder rumbles] ♪ ♪ <i> - I was finishing up
my last year</i> <i> at the
University of Minnesota.</i> I moved down to Dallas. And I got a job at a club there to sort of make ends meet. <i> Every night at that club,
I would always get stressed out</i> <i> after working there,
'cause it was intense</i> <i> with all these people.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> This particular night,
my girlfriend was out with me.</i> <i> I said, you know, "Let's go
drive around White Rock."</i> ♪ ♪ <i> So we get in the car.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> There was nobody around.</i> It was, you know,
the dead of morning. ♪ ♪ <i> And we had all
the windows down,</i> <i> and we were just talking.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> And as we're driving...</i> ♪ ♪ <i> I saw a woman walking.</i> ♪ ♪ She was just walking. ♪ ♪ <i> And it--at a very slow pace.</i> There was something
obviously odd about her. ♪ ♪ <i> As we got closer to her,</i> <i> I noticed
she had a white gown on</i> <i> and she had dark hair.</i> And she's still a ways away,
and like I said, we're going very slow. <i> I said,
"Look at that, look.</i> <i> There's a woman."</i> ♪ ♪ She was wet
from head to toe. She was completely--
completely wet. ♪ ♪ <i> And as I'm driving by her,</i> <i> she turned</i> <i> and she looked at us.</i> <i> She was looking right at me,
right into my eyes.</i> <i> And she just had</i> <i> this incredibly sad look
on her face.</i> <i> And it was almost a look of,
um,</i> <i> you know, "Can you help me?"</i> ♪ ♪ - Did you see that?
- Yeah. <i> - And then as I looked
in the rearview mirror...</i> ♪ ♪ <i> She was gone.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> So I got out of the car.</i> - Wait,
where are you going? Where are you going? ♪ ♪ - Hello? <i> - I'm looking for her,
and she's nowhere.</i> - Hello?
Hello? <i> - I yelled out "hey"
a couple times.</i> <i> "Hey, hello, hello,"
and like that.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> I got back in the car.</i> ♪ ♪ <i> And I said,
"Now, you saw that, right?"</i> <i> And she goes,
"I saw that."</i> ♪ ♪ She had to be a ghost. I mean, what else
could it possibly have been? I try to find reasons
and why I was able to witness this, why I got to see her, and why, you know,
other people don't. I don't know. ♪ ♪ <i> When I went back, uh,</i> to tell my roommate,
Jeff, about it, he turned just pale, and he said, "My God,
you saw her." I said,
"What are you talking about?" "You saw the ghost. You saw the bride
of White Rock Lake." I said,
"What are you talking about?" And he tells me this whole story
about this woman, this bride, <i> that had drowned on her
wedding day and they never--</i> I don't know if they
found her body or not. I've heard different
stories about that. <i> But what he told me
totally freaked me out.</i> I had no idea
that this story existed. ♪ ♪ <i> You know, your mind
can play tricks on you.</i> Your hair stands up
the back of your neck, and you're just wondering, "Was that real,
what I just saw?" <i> I would love to
be able to see her again</i> and ask her,
"Why are you still here? "Do you feel like
you can't go to wherever it is
you're supposed to go?" Why did she appear? Why was she out that night? And I would like
to find that out. ♪ ♪ <i> - I'm picking up
a couple of</i> different things for Kevin. - [distorted speech] There may be someone today
that would love to talk to him. - [distorted speech] - I have an older man. It feels like
a father figure. He seems very excited. <i> And I think he loved to golf.</i> Very much of a family man. Very much. ♪ ♪ <i> I actually, unfortunately,</i> <i> pick up
a lot of different types</i> of death that occurred around
this lake or in this lake. ♪ ♪ I see a lot of drownings. ♪ ♪ I see violent deaths. Like murder. ♪ ♪ That's a little bit disturbing, to say the least. <i> The more distraught souls
you have hanging around</i> and populating one area, it almost becomes
one consciousness of sadness and hopelessness. So that--
that uniform mind-set can absolutely
affect the living. It can make people go crazy. ♪ ♪ <i> Ugh.</i> <i> This is the infamous lake.</i> <i> This lake is...</i> very pretty to look at, but the energy is very dark. ♪ ♪ <i> Okay.</i> ♪ ♪ Here goes. [sighs] Oh, my gosh. ♪ ♪ Yeah, this is
definitely dark energy. ♪ ♪ I'm feeling a lot of bodies. ♪ ♪ Oh, man. ♪ ♪ This is more intense
than I thought. It has an eerie
peacefulness. ♪ ♪ Eerie. ♪ ♪ I see a boat. ♪ ♪ I see lights. ♪ ♪ There's a lot of music playing.
I'm hearing music. ♪ ♪ But I hear a lot of arguing. ♪ ♪ And I feel like somebody
just came from behind and hit me on the head. And--and I fell to the ground. ♪ ♪ And I don't know what
happened, I just-- I black out. I just--
I see a lot of blood and roped-off sections. It was a crime scene. There's so much death
in this lake. I see bodies piled up
under this water. ♪ ♪ The presence is with me. ♪ ♪ I know she's here
around this lake. - [screaming] ♪ ♪ <i> [eerie music]</i> ♪ ♪ - There's so much death
in this lake. I see bodies piled up
under this water. ♪ ♪ I don't like this. I can understand why
he has some questions. ♪ ♪ I don't know if Kevin
is up for all of this. ♪ ♪ Maybe I'll wait over there. I need to get away
from this water. ♪ ♪ - Yeah, see, I remember
all of this right along here. It's White Rock Lake. And I'm back for the first time
in many, many, many, many years. ♪ ♪ - Hey, there. - Hey, Kim,
how you doing? - Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you, as well. - How's it going?
- It's a pleasure. Yeah,
it's going all right. - Forgive me if it wind up
calling you "Erik." I can't get the name
Erik out of my head, and I have no idea why. Do you know any Eriks? - My mom's gonna
freak on this. My great-grandfather's
name is Erik. With a 'k'. I was born on the same day
as he was, September 24th. Everybody in the family
wanted to call me Erik. My mom did not; she went with
a English name like Kevin. Caused a lot of problems
in the family, apparently. I was just born.
I had no idea. But people were
very upset. That's kind of creepy. [laughs] - That's what
comes off your energy. - Very interesting. - So I would like to hear
a brief synopsis of what happened to you, but there's so much
already coming at me. Do you want to...
- I would love to. - Just go get a little
closer look? - I would love to. ♪ ♪ - So did you live here
in this area? - I did, I lived--
well, actually, I lived just a little bit
north of downtown. I used to be a bouncer
at a club. - Yeah. - And I would come here
to unwind. - Mm. ♪ ♪ I have to just
backtrack a bit. Because there was a man
coming through to me in the car that I feel is directly
connected to you, family-wise. Would that be an issue
if I were to bring messages through to you? - Not at all. - Uh... - [distorted speech] - He keeps telling me,
"I tried to hold on, "and I didn't want
to die on-- I didn't want to die
on their birthday." It's--he died on--
- That's my dad. - He died on
your birthday? - He died three years ago
on my wife's birthday. ♪ ♪ - That's why he said,
"I tried to hold out." - Mm-hmm. - Uh, and he's actually
telling me that you... you told him it
was okay to go. But in your head,
it was, "Well, I just wish he didn't go
right at that that point." Something about that day. Did you not get there yet? To see him go? - I didn't get--no one
was there when he passed, which made me
very sad to me, I'm very close
to my parents. I've been taking care of them
for the last 15, 16 years. - He's very close to you.
- Yeah. - He's showing me... ♪ ♪ - Your mom's alive, right?
- Yes. - Uh, he said something about
her cataracts, or her vision being a little compromised
at this--now. Are you-- - She's got double vision
going right now. Okay,
this is kind of creepy. [chuckles] - Yeah?
And how do you feel about it? - It's interesting. No, I'm--
this is fascinating to me. - I could keep going. - She's had--she's got a double
vision thing going right now. - He's very, um--
he's a good communicator. - [distorted speech] - I'll tell you what
he just told me-- He said, "Heaven has golf." So were you
wondering that? - I've always said that. I've always said it to friends
and stuff like that, I said, "I'd be great
if we can golf in Heaven. Wouldn't that be awesome?"
- That's right. - Because my dad
taught me the game. His last rounds of
golf were with me before he quit golfing. - Okay. I think he's gonna
be with us the whole day. - I like that.
- I really-- - My dad and I
were very close. - You can ask your dad
any questions, if you like. I have that-- - I'd like to know how painful
it was for him to die. ♪ ♪ - [distorted speech] - He told me to
tell you this-- he said that the biggest part of the frustration that he had was that he
could not talk. - Yeah. - That,
"More so than the pain, I couldn't tell you
what I wanted to say." Do you remember he was
trying to say something? - Oh, yeah. He lost the ability to speak
for the last, basically, two months in the hospital. - But do you remember when
he was struggling to maybe just even it sounded
like moans? - Oh, yeah. I remember, he was always
trying to say something. But he couldn't really get--
understand what he was saying. - Those--
it was two thoughts: "I love you, son," and "I'm proud
of you, son." And I'm not quite sure
if he ever really said that when he was able
to speak. - Um... he didn't display it
that way. My dad wasn't that open,
that emotional. And, uh... he, you know, it's--
I don't know if it's a Scandinavian thing
or whatever, you know. You look at the photos
they had growing up, they're all standing about
a foot apart with their arms like this,
looking at the camera. - I know what you mean. But that's what he wanted
to verbally say to you, uh, because it was
his last opportunity to. - Mm. - Uh, so I'm grateful that he's saying it through me. - We never say
the things we want to say to the people we care about
until it's too late. - There you go. Do you want to investigate
more of this lake? - I would love to. - I'm sure Dad'll
come with us. - Sounds good. - Don't worry about that.
- All right. - And who knows who else
is going to show up today? I think I've only
just begun. ♪ ♪ <i> It's so peaceful
during the day,</i> but I have to assume
that there's a whole different vibe
here at night. ♪ ♪ <i> As a medium,
what I'm sensing energy-wise,</i> <i> this lake,</i> to me, it's like
a liquid cemetery. - Really? - There's a lot of
dead bodies under that water. <i> Many, many lives perished
in his lake, unfortunately.</i> I feel a lot of
accidental drownings. And I also feel that there's
been a lot of suicides here. - Hmm. - There's a lot of cries
coming from this lake. ♪ ♪ One of the things
that I picked up when I actually got closer
to the water was, I actually saw
a vision of a boat. It had a lot of lights on it, as if they were having a party. <i> And I--and I--</i> I smelled alcohol,
so I know there's a lot of drinking going on, and I hear screaming. - [screams] - And I didn't really get
a vision past that yet. But can you tell me
a little bit about what you saw? - I was with my girlfriend, and we're driving along and I saw a woman
walking at me. And I looked at
my girlfriend and I said, I said, "You see that?"
and she said, "Yeah." And I turned back,
she was gone. And then when I went back
to my apartment, I told my roommate,
and he just-- he looked at me and he said,
"My God, you saw her." And I said, "Saw who?" "That's the bride, that's
the ghost of White Rock Lake." - But that does--
you know that sort of sounds like a legend,
right? An urban legend?
- Sure. - A lot of lakes have ghosts.
- Oh, yeah. - So how do you feel
about seeing something that people just
speak about as a myth? - It--well,
I know what I saw, and I didn't--
I know that I saw a woman and she disappeared,
not in front of my eyes, but she disappeared. - I see. Hopefully, I'll get more
as we go through our day. - Mm-hmm. - And I understand
that there is someone who can shed some light on
what happened here on this lake. She's over at
the cultural center. She said that she'll
meet us there. - I'm interested
to meet her. - There were parts
of this lake that I was feeling
very drawn to. Uh, a lot of energy
over in that direction. I really do want
to check it out. I don't know how you feel about
driving around this lake. - I want to go. - Let's go.
- I want to see it. - We'll take a ride. - I want to see if
I remember the exact spot that I went on before. ♪ ♪ - Okay. ♪ ♪ It's peaceful. - Well, that's why it was great
to always come down here just to get away
from it it all. I mean, I lived, you know,
in a giant apartment complex, which you do when
you're in your 20s. - Yeah.
- You know? And it was, uh, just--
it was concrete, you know? I'd rather been down
in an area like this. ♪ ♪ - [screaming] - I'm sensing
a lot of energy. it's only
right around here. <i> Just keep going.</i> ♪ ♪ I'm sensing something very
eerie about this street. ♪ ♪ - I don't--I mean, I have no
recalls of this road being here. ♪ ♪ <i> - Could we pull over
over here, please?</i> ♪ ♪ <i> Okay.</i> ♪ ♪ The woman you saw
is buried in this cemetery. ♪ ♪ It's such a culmination
of ghosts and hotbeds and trapped energies. ♪ ♪ <i> [eerie music]</i> ♪ ♪ <i> - There you go.
- Okay.</i> <i> How do you feel about this?</i> ♪ ♪ - Yeah, this is weird. - Are we allowed in there? ♪ ♪ 1848.
- Yeah. - That's old. ♪ ♪ I really do feel
that the woman you saw is buried in this cemetery. ♪ ♪ - Really?
- Yes. ♪ ♪ She's wearing
a pretty dress, or some kind of
party dress. ♪ ♪ I also feel that what was
happening on that ship, or that boat, was somehow
connected to this woman. ♪ ♪ I sense that it was, uh,
hush-hush and hidden. ♪ ♪ Something to do with
a lot of alcohol. - So it could have been
Prohibition times. - Could've been. That's a good point. I wonder if that lady at the
cultural center will know. Why don't we go talk to her?
She'll know. - I would love to talk to her.
- Yeah, me too. - I would love to. ♪ ♪ You ever get scared from the
things you feel and hear? - Yes, I do. Thank you for asking. I absolutely do
get scared. But I know one thing
for sure-- spirits are no scarier
than they were as people. - Hmm. ♪ ♪ - Is this it?
- Let's go check it out. ♪ ♪ <i> - Look at this,
it's like a postcard.</i> Amazing.
The sun is setting. - See, I've never been
to this side of the lake. It's pretty. ♪ ♪ - I have to tell you, as it's getting
darker and darker, this is when the energy
starts to really amp up. When you had your experience,
it was at night, right? - It was--yeah,
4:00 in the morning, but yeah,
it was pitch black. - Okay. ♪ ♪ See, I can't help but
feel that that person wanted something from you. And I still feel
the presence is with me. I know she's here
around this lake. ♪ ♪ I have a vision of this woman right before she passed. - [distorted speech] - Being in some sort
of argument with either her husband
or her boyfriend. - [distorted speech] - She was in a,
what seems to me, as a very possessive
relationship. - [distorted speech] - I keep sensing that
this man became very jealous if she looked at
another man. - Mm. - And this woman
was not looking, so he sort of
mentally abused her. - He was insecure. Interesting. - That's how it's
coming across to me, but-- but wait, wait. ♪ ♪ Your father's
still with me. - Hm. - He told me that you
watched your parents' marriage and you always wanted
to emulate that. - Yeah. My mom and dad, just short of
60 years being married, I never heard them argue. - You know--
- I never heard them argue. - Do you know what he just--
- Which is amazing. - Do you know what he just said?
- What? - [distorted speech] - He said, "I already
taught you that secret." - [laughs] - So he must've had
some sort of talk with you before you got married. - He said,
"It's best just to agree." [both laughing] - It's true.
- Your dad's a cool man. And he honors the way
that you respect people and obvious--
and especially your wife. ♪ ♪ - [distorted speech] - And, um, I'll tell you
what he just told me. ♪ ♪ - [distorted speech] - He said he's appeared to you
while you were sleeping. - That's... Wow. The morning he died,
I sat up in bed, and I saw something. - Foot of your bed? - And I asked him, I said,
"Dad, is that you?" And then whatever I saw,
it disappeared. - Was it a light?
- It was a light. - Of course it was him. - And I went into
my office room, phone rang, boom--
it was my brother, Scott. Said, "Dad passed away." And I broke down. - Well, yes that was your dad
coming to say good-bye, and that's what he said,
"I was coming to say good-bye." ♪ ♪ All right, well, let's
get back to this lake, because what goes on
at night here is a whole nother story. There's something about this
lake that has energy that I've never seen
before anywhere else. It's such a culmination
of ghosts and hotbeds and trapped energies. ♪ ♪ <i> This is like a movie setting</i> <i> for a ghost to just

about this lake.</i> It's such a culmination of
ghosts and hotbeds and trapped energies. - So where's this woman? 'Cause I want to
talk to her. - I want to talk to her too.
- I want to see what she says. - I'm picking up-- - What she knows
about this story. - Okay.

- Hi.</i> -<i> Welcome.

Nice to meet you. - You are the lady that can
probably shed some light on the true facts of what
happened here on this lake. - Yeah, I retired from
the city of Dallas Park and Recreation Department
where I was the historian. Got to do the historical
research for the department. and I have since written
two books on White Rock Lake. - Two books on the lake, itself?
- On the lake, itself. - There's a lot of,
uh, deaths in this-- around this lake. More than, I would say,
an average lake. - Right. - I was picking up an unusual
amount of drownings. ♪ ♪ Very peculiar drownings. Can you shed some light
on any of that? - One of the really strange
ones was a young man who had an underwater
swimming record, was out here swimming with a bunch of
his friends and drowned. - Underwater swimming record. - Yes.
- So he should know how to swim? - You would think
he would know how to swim. - That's very unusual.
- Yeah. - And then a young man
on a paddle boat, just a couple of years ago-- a big wind came up suddenly, knocked him off the
paddle board, and he drowned. - Wow. And a lot of suicides as well. - There have been
a number of suicides. And the children
that have fallen off the fishing piers
and drowned. And at the fishing pier,
the water is no more than about 5 feet deep. And it's not
a real deep lake. There's not a whole lot
of hazards. - It's like an invisible force
is angry or is just scooping
these people up and taking them away,
never to be seen again. - Could be the farmers
that lost their land. This was farm and ranch land.
- Sure. - Remember, the lake is
a man-made lake. - So there's--
- Originally. - There is an angry energy here. I feel it,
it has a pulse. ♪ ♪ It's palpable. And it's very real.
- Yeah. - So that's why I saw this
as a liquid cemetery. ♪ ♪ I've seen bodies. I kept seeing a crime scene
in--with yellow tape. - Very recently? - I'm not quite sure, but it
keeps coming around in my vision. - We had a very recent-- on the creek trail
north of here, there was a jogger that was,
um, macheted. - [gasps] - Wow. - Yeah.
- Macheted? - Uh-huh,
just a couple weeks ago that that happened. - Wow. - And then the sad part is,
shortly thereafter, the victim's wife
committed suicide. - Wow. She couldn't
live without him. - Couldn't live
without him. So that just makes it
an even sadder story-- - So this is just
a ripple effect of everything that
keeps compounding. - Right. - Over the years and even up
until this current day. - Right. - It's as if
Mother Nature is angry. - Yes. Yeah.
- Wow. - So there's lots of stories
about the lake. - I have a story. 'Cause I lived here
for two years... - Okay.
- After college. And, um, I came down
driving around the lake, taking my time, just--
it was a hot August night, you know how hot
it gets down here, the windows were down,
it just felt good. <i> The nighttime heat,
I loved it.</i> <i> And my girlfriend
at the time was with me.</i> <i> And as we were driving,
very slowly,</i> we saw somebody walking
towards us on the path. ♪ ♪ And she turned
and looked at me. <i> Very sad face,
looked at me.</i> <i> Little smile.</i> And I looked away
not more than a second. I turned to look and I said,
"Weird. I looked
and she was gone. - Yeah. - And it sort of
freaked me out. - Well, as I said, I go out
and I do a lot of presentations, and I get a lot of stories back
and I get a lot of the story of the Lady of the Lake. And what I've always heard was
someone was driving here on the east side of the lake,
saw a young girl in a gown, like a formal. Um, the driver he asks,
"Can I take you home? Where do you live?" She gave him an address,
the driver would drive the girl
to her house. When they got to the house,
he'd knock on the door and say, "I have your
daughter here," and they'd say, "She drowned
on the way to the prom." ♪ ♪ - Do you know any people
like that in your life? - Oh, yeah.
Sure. The person I know ended up
getting killed. ♪ ♪ <i> [eerie music]</i> ♪ ♪ - The driver would drive
the girl to her house. When they got to the house, he'd knock on the door and say, "I have your
daughter here." And they'd say, "She drowned
on her way to the prom." ♪ ♪ The car went into the water
on the way to the prom and then the driver would
look back at his car, and there'd just be
a wet spot on the backseat. ♪ ♪ That is the story I have heard.
- Goose bumps. - That's the story I have
heard through the years, that I have received back. - Okay.
- From other people. - Okay, and do you think
it's true, or do you think
it's just a legend? Or a myth? - It's not anything
I've experienced, myself, but I've heard enough of other
people who say, "I saw it." - Okay. So you know how legends
can really just change over the years,
and... - Correct. - And that's why
I am asking you, are you sure this theory
of a prom is accurate? - No. - And are you sure
it was a wedding dress? Because I am not saying
that's not the case-- - Right. - But the lady
that I keep seeing, I didn't see anything
about a wedding. And I don't feel
she was of prom age. ♪ ♪ <i> She's on a boat.</i> - Mm-hmm. - There was a party. There were a lot of lights. <i> I saw a lot of people.</i> I heard music. <i> - Mm-hmm.</i> - This is just... <i> a couple.</i> [indistinct chatter] There was too much drinking. - Every time. - And this man seemed
to be very controlling. He just became so jealous
and insecure, it got way out of hand. - Oh, okay. See, the story
I've always heard for the Lady of the Lake
was a car. That's just what I've heard.
- I believe you. But that doesn't mean

you're not sure. - They also had what was
known as "Bonnie Barge," which was a party barge. - Let's talk about that.
A party barge. - There was a party barge
here on the lake from about '46 to '56. - This sounds way more
like what I am sensing. - Mm-hmm. With all the parties
and the couples that would go out
on the Bonnie Barge, it could've been one of those
couples very easily. - I think--

this is the stretch. This was--
it was right here. - The hair is standing up
on the back of my neck. - And this is where
I saw somebody walking. She was very pasty
and very pale and very gray. ♪ ♪ <i> And it was right here.</i> There's no question
about it. <i> We're here.</i> ♪ ♪ And, uh, got out to see
where she went. ♪ ♪ I mean, if you look,
there's no space around here. There's no place--
there's no place to go to. - There's no place. - There's no trees,
there's nothing to hide. And there's no way
in that two seconds that she could have
disappeared anywhere. - No way. ♪ ♪ I feel that there's
something larger at play here. - [distorted speech] - The way that I see this, from the beginning of the day when I saw the boat
with the lights and I heard the music playing
and I hear the arguing, I sense that she had
a lot of fear. [distorted speech] He was enraged,
he thought that she was looking at another man
or had eyes for someone else. [distorted speech] - She was afraid
of this man. - Hmm. - He threatened
to kill her. I don't know if she
fell off the side of the boat. ♪ ♪ [distorted speech] - [screams] - He may have even
pushed her. She tended to attract
these abusive relationships. - Hmm. - She obviously felt
that's all she deserved. This woman
was drawn to you. Do you know any people
like that in your life? - Oh, yeah.
Sure. The person I know ended up
being--getting killed. ♪ ♪ - Oh, wow. ♪ ♪ This kind of keeps
coming up in your life. There's something
that you have that these people
are drawn to. ♪ ♪ <i> [eerie music]</i> ♪ ♪ - She obviously felt
that's all she deserved. Do you know any
people like that? - Oh, yeah.
Sure. ♪ ♪ Person I know ended up
being--getting killed. <i> [solemn music]</i> - So it was like
domestic abuse? - Oh, yeah,
big time. Big time--
and that goes on all the time. ♪ ♪ It was a relationship she
should have left long ago, but she didn't. ♪ ♪ - Did you try to get involved
that person's life to get them out of
that relationship? - Yeah. Tried talking to them. ♪ ♪ - And it didn't work?
- Nope. ♪ ♪ Well, I--
really, I said, "You need to move on
with your own life. "You don't need
this person in your life. There's nothing good
about this person." It was--she felt
leaving that relationship, things were gonna
get worse. And I said, "No, they're only
going to get better." But she didn't
want to believe that. - But when people
have fear... - What you just said
is the key. It came down to fear
once again. - People with fear tend to
stay stuck in situations, not because they
want to be there, but because
it's all they know. - Yeah. - What I see is-- this kind of keeps
coming up in your life. And it may come up again. - Mm-hmm. - There's something
that you have or how you treat women
that people are-- these people are drawn to. Maybe that's why
they're in your life, so that you can give them
the courage, the power, to love themselves
a little bit more. - Yeah, that's what
comes down to it. I agree with that. - And a lot of times,
spirits, especially this one, she's just looking
for some help, and I think you
want to help her. - I do. - It's time for her
to go to the light. So would you do it?
- Yeah. - And know you can
talk with her. - Mm-hmm. - Talk to her
in your mind's eye, see if we can
make that happen. - All right. ♪ ♪ - Just keep sending her
good energy and encouraging energy. The same way that you would
talk to a friend that's living. To put this at rest,
to find some peace. ♪ ♪ So that she does not have to
wander around this lake day in and day out. ♪ ♪ - I hope she finds her way
where she's supposed to be. - Yeah, me too. It's been an intense day, and I think I've had
just about enough of this lake. - [chuckles] - Would you like to
go sit down and chat? - Sure.
- About the day? - Yeah.

- Mm-hmm. - Here we are.
- Here we are. - How do you feel? - I got to tell you--
I didn't say anything when I was down there,
but there was-- there was a second
that I felt something. And I don't--I don't know
if I made it happen. It was like a giant goose bump
in my whole body. It was just--
it was warm. It lasted just for a second,
then went away. - You know what that is?
- No. - That's her energy. You're precisely the person
that could help this ghost. You are the peacemaker,
you are the person that can talk sense into people. - Mm.
- Okay? I don't think anything
happens by chance. Something did bring you back
here to put this woman to rest. I think it was also a chance
for you to speak to your dad. - That's true too.
Which is great. 'Cause I love my dad.
- I know you do. And, uh, you're not
getting away without a hug. - Okay.

to have that experience <i> and to have the questions
that I was, you know,</i> <i> sort of searching for
as to why she was there</i> <i> being answered by Kim.</i> <i> To say the things
that she said--</i> <i> she did more than answer
some of those questions.</i> <i> I thought it was
pretty amazing.</i> - People love
a good ghost story. But in reality, <i> these people here
that died in this lake</i> <i> were real people
with real lives,</i> <i> with real families
and real emotions.</i> <i>And I am so grateful that Kevin
had some sort of interest</i> <i> in coming back here.</i> <i> I think we accomplished
a lot today,</i> <i> on the physical plane
