It's interesting to watch what the game was like so long ago. It's come such a long way since then
I have a piece of wood from one of the uprights from that game. My grandfather and the Colts Corral he was a member of all took a train from Baltimore to New York for the game and they got a big chunk of it and broke it up into little pieces for everyone on the ride back.
Fun Fact: The Baltimore Colts made it to the Super Bowl by being champions of the Western Conference
Man, I havenβt see many highlights of his, but Unitas was amazing. I also donβt understand his mechanics - the way he holds the ball it looks like he is going to spike it a la Osweiler but he manages to have these beautiful passes.
The first book my wife ever bought for me was The Best Game Ever by Mark Bowden (Black Hawk Down). For anyone interested in one the most famous and important games in American sports history, I highly recommend reading that book. There are so many fun and interesting details about the game, the players, and the coaches, including how the teams spied on each other's practices before the big game (beta version of "Spygate").
