1957 World Series highlights (New York Yankees vs Milwaukee Braves)

American League champion but they're first against the mighty Braves Milwaukee these are the colorful minutes before the rival champions that's Gillen power and the race for the four victories which will decide the World title photographers are having a field day with Casey Stengel and newcomer Fred Haney manager of the Braves Stengel has brought the Yankees in a Socktober show eight times and nine seasons there's an air of expectancy on the Yankee bench while the Braves go through their warmup baseball commissioner Ford Frick reached Fred Foxx of Cincinnati the American Legion Junior the World Series returns to New York for the sixth game victory is a must for the Yankees today in their defense of the World Championship in an effort to deadlock the series of three all manager [Music] then he makes his first pitch to berra - good and yogi slams the ball into the right-field stands for his tenth World Series home run boring slaughter ahead of him and giving the Yankees a 2 to nothing lead McDougal keeps the rally going when he beats out of hit the Mantia fuel affairs upset he walks lumpy [Music] manager hey nice nose to the mound and calls Bernie Johnson his ace Billy are in an uproar visiting a typical last-minute Yankee triumph where dead is only one out away from victory but still barring the door is the muscular bill scour playing Skarin as a pull hitter Matthews has moved a bit near the foul line for debt fires and scar and hits a terrific drive down the third-base line Matthews makes a miraculous backhanded stab on the ball races to third for a force out of McDougald continuous running in founding leaps HUD for death handle arrives at the same time in there are exuberance they do a bear hug dance before they are suddenly sprung dunder by a horde of hysterical brave and the Milwaukee Braves are the new world champions for the five to nothing victory burg debtor's the men of the hour as hilarity continues in the clubhouse no one fits her ever before has beaten the Yankees three times in a World Series and the veteran right-hander is the first pitcher to win two shutouts in a series since Christy Mathewson did it three times in 1905 the Braves hurried through their clubhouse celebration in order to rush to the airport for the plane that will take them back home meanwhile it's like New Year's Eve in Milwaukee the fans over on the airport to give the Braves a tumultuous salute as they arrived within a few hours after the game in just five years since the Braves moved west from Boston they have won a World Championship a wild acclaim the greets manager Fred Haney in the Braves is proof once again that face ball still is the great national pastime let's join in the pleasure and excitement see a ballgame often follow your
