[Music] my name is Sarah I'm 18 years old I've been modeling professionally for a year and a half I'd say that modeling is one of the hardest Industries to crack it's not been easy at all it's been really difficult the face is one of the biggest opportunities a model could ask [Music] for looking at the competition I know it's going to be tough these girls are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen but I'm very competitive I'm so here to [Music] win I've been quite lucky this year I've worked for designers in New York London and Milan I want to be a super model I want to be an icon and I feel this competition can take me to that next level my name is Chantel I'm 18 I'm here in this competition to make a mark on the world no I believe in 10 years time I will be the same level as Naomi Campbell where are you the big one right in the middle that Big Shiny one we got [Music] some that's me there with short hair that's me her she's beautiful I love her yeah that one is so beautiful my name is Britney I'm an international model I'm a published author and I've always kind of being really psychic I really feel strong in my intuition that I'm going to win this competition because I've received signals from the universe my S Sher and I decided to audition together I have eight sisters so I'm really protective over my little sisters hello hi you I'd want the Aboriginal Community to look at me and say hey she did it because I don't think there's a lot of Aboriginal models in Australia that are well known even though like there's so many beautiful Aboriginal girls noani how are you shica younger sister oh my go becoming the face would be so amazing it would be out of this world this is insane you believe it's happening right now we're here right now it was quite intimidating actually these are the girls that I have to compete against did you meet Olivia she's like incredible when the girls all walked into the room you could see the competition that's when things kind of got [Music] real Hello girls so welcome to the face when George walked in I was blown away because he's an amazing photographer I have followed George's career for so long and I admire him so much he's shot every supermodel in the world didn't like oh you're so cute of the thousands of upand cominging models that applied to be here today you guys were our lucky chosen 24 this competition has a potential to take you straight to the top because girls what's on offer here today is truly a once in a-lifetime Opportunity every model dreams of being the face of an international brand but for most models it remains just that a dream but for one of you lucky 24 girls that dream will soon become a reality because one of you will become the face of the number one skin care brand in the entire world [Applause] [Music] Ole one of you will soon be the face of O's new younger skin care brand fresh effects I won the prize so badly I'm ready to win this is the face right here luckily we have three of the biggest names in modeling here to guide you through the entire process they will each take a team under their wing and give you guys the most unique opportunity to learn from the absolute best in the business are you ready to meet [Applause] them she's walked the runway for some of the biggest designers in the world including Versace Chanel and Gucci Nicole [Applause] trumpio [Music] I've been an international model for 11 years and I feel like I have a lot of wisdom to give to these girls she's been on the cover of Vogue and Cosmo and she was one of the youngest girls to be featured on the cover of Harper's Bazar Cheyenne totsy I might only be 24 but I've had a 10 years [Applause] experience I'm not your average Australian model I'm intelligent I'm strong I'm tough and I will put up a fight girls she's graced the cover of over 500 magazines worldwide she's walked the runway for every major designer in this world this woman is more than a supermodel she is an icon girls Naomi [Applause] Campell I've been at the top of the modern industry for over 20 years and I know what it takes I have more modern experience than Cheyenne and Nicole put together so I will find the face [Applause] I had butterflies in my stomach and I was just like wellow they're right in front of me walking just surreal let me start by telling you how excited I am to be here Australia is known for producing some of the most beautiful successful models in the world and I'm here to do one thing discover Australia's Next modeling Superstar Naomi is a massive inspiration for me she is the queen literally the queen and that's how I will always address her there is no doubt that this is an incredible opportunity but you are going to have to earn your place on one of these super models teams now I'm looking for strong confident girls who are willing and able to work hard Cheyenne she's like speech goddess felt like we would really work well together I'm looking for someone that has a star quality someone that can go from walking on the international runways in Milan to shooting a fashion editorial and bringing something special to each of those I would love to be mentored by Nicole because she's been the cover of Vogue and walked catwalks all over the world she's the type of model that I want to be what I'm looking for is someone that is high highly competitive determined to succeed and above all someone that listens and is ready to learn the thought of being mentored by homi Campbell is just amazing because she is the queen of the catwalk the queen of fashion with only four spots available on each of their teams 12 of you will remain which means by the end of tomorrow half of you will no longer be here half of us are going home that could potentially be me that is the scariest thought in the world because you've made it that far and it's like this could end now our supermodel mentors will put you through a series of modeling challenges first of all girls we're going to ask you to step in front of our camera without an ounce of makeup on no makeup that scares the beas out of me when you first join an agency as a new model they strip you down to your most natural to see what we have to work with we want to see how confident you are in your own skin that means no retouching no filters just you as you are but this is where it gets a little bit tricky you only get one shot I literally mean we're going to be pressing the button once you usually get about 300 shots for one lock so that's um a challenge make an impact take a risk and stand out a lot depends on that picture and it really is the picture that can make or break [Music] you coming up you ready to be impressed it's tough love with these girls that means I have to be brutally honest I do not like this picture have you modeled before you know what I'm going back I'm not happy with what they're [Music] bringing this challenge is actually very realistic because when you go on castings all over the world you are asked to take a photo after they meet you and you only get one photo I'm nervous are you nervous about makeup yeah are you confident about it I look better with no makeup on at least you're confident that's good yeah I know I'm honestly so nervous like you're going to go in there and not know what to expect and I'm not going to lie I'm a little bit scared of my Fe that's also contributing to like my massive nerves as well a lot depends on that picture really a lot and it really is the picture that that can make or break [Music] you yeah yeah so look away then go 3 2 1 I would love the mentors remember myself know Lon as fine ass piece of sexual chocolate who rocks a mean ass FR my strength in the modeling industry is photo shoots so my strategy is to pretty much work it we can do this yeah we got it in the bag I definitely noticed Nani she just oozes confidence but I feel as if that's going to bite her back in the bum not in the bum maybe in the face cuz it is the face okay let's get our first skill in hello noani tell how are you I'm fine thank you how are you very welome thank you like your hop in your step thank you going with swag be style so I am really experienced I've been around for quite a while so it's all about engaging the audience or the viewer or whoever's behind the camera noani yeah just tell you think about the one picture you want to give us mhm looking your best okay okay okay are you ready yeah here we go 1 2 3 [Music] I'm going to be straight up yeah I do not like this picture you yeah this is such a bad angle for your face I would rather just the way you're talking to me right now okay I find this picture aggressive yeah and so forced forced and not natural of you like you like now have you modeled before um I have it's tough love with these girls that means I have to be brutally honest I don't want to lie I don't want them to ever say why did she not tell me anyway I don't like your picture okay to be able to say that I'm the first face Australia it would be a dream come true I always am looking to do something to get me that one step ahead of the other girls to stand out hello hi Sarah such an honor to meet you guys you ready to be impressed okay you ready [Music] yeah one 2 3 I like the picture that's cool I was wondering I was worried for a second is the hair going to come out up here see her face you see her neck that old school American Kelvin Klein Vibe about her I thought Sarah was very strong she has that star quality that I was looking for and I mean you're willing to take risks as a model and use like move in front of the camera how long have you been modeling a year or a year and a half a year and a half good job I like your picture a lot Sarah thank you so [Music] much this isn't a competition Just Between the girls us mentors will be fighting it out confident I think it's going to be a big fight for Sarah and I'm ready competing with Cara is hard is really hard cuz it's like my little sister I'm meant to look out for her I'm one of Nine Girls and I'm the oldest so I'm really protective over my little sisters we're very close we have each other's back so if one of us wins in something we both win hello Shena hello so use this shot wisely one two 3 thank you nice I like this picture simple straight into the camera honest beautiful smile that's what we've been looking for well done okay shenik is one shot I mean she's so mysterious she has this mysterious quality about her like an actress the relief is just amazing I wasn't expecting it after that I really hope Kyra's going to be okay I haven't really had a much modeling experience hello Kyra hello I've done a couple of shoots couple of runways but that's about [Music] it Kyra are you sad about anything or nerves I don't know are you nervous yes very I see that in your photo Kyra very sweet did not like ky's picture she was so afraid poor thing and timid and um it showed all right thank Youk she was just blank she was not there she'd had no connection to the camera at all I feel comfortable having this one shot I feel that I am quite unique I do have a unique look according to the photographers I've shot with before my best angle is profile Hello Lucy hello so I'll have a little bit of hand in there cuz I don't want to make it boring that's my strategy profile hand now Lucy we know that you have an amazing profile thank you because we've got that up there yes but what I need you to know is when you go to an agency we want to see all your face so did you get the brief or did you not hear us properly I heard you properly I was going for something different and I also wanted to just give you something that I knew would work I think not doing too much in the photo is imperative her whole statue is beautiful but she just needs to listen okay are you ready yeah why did you feel the need to put your hand near your face the hand is like you know Queen Elizabeth thei I'm feeling we want to see them looking at us straight into the camera and not making the photo too contrived 1 2 3 I feel like this is test the clown yeah I don't know if they didn't hear the brief but there was a lot of hand stuff going on they just kept going you should never use your hands if you don't know it can look very messy and it can look very forced and it can just look unflattering we just wanted a nice simple head shot I was very disappointed I was getting a lot of frustration built up inside of me are you back there all practicing your posing trying to outdo each other and so you all feel like the hand is very important that's the what I'm getting [Music] today I was extreme extremely nervous about taking one shot I've got to have the perfect angle on my face ready mhm 1 2 [Music] 3 what's with the hands today I don't know what to say but you know what I have to be very honest I am not thrilled with all this hand stuff you know what I'm going back I'm not happy with what I'm I I want to go and them to step it up and everything we we gave in the brief is not what they're doing so we're speaking for nothing and they're going to when we get them and our teams are not going to listen to us Alex I'm going back very disappointed very I'm not happy about their performance at all these girls better step it up I do not want to go ballistic hello girls now you know what I'm going back I'm not happy there's a lot of hand stuff going on I don't know if they didn't hear the brief but it wasn't going very well but um Alex I'm going back I was getting a lot of frustration built up inside of me so I decided to go back to tell them that I was not pleased um hello girls I wouldn't be smiling I've not come back here to give you praise I've come back to tell you that I am not happy neither is Nicole and neither is Cheyenne with what you're bringing us out there you've got one shot to get these poses together and you're not bringing it so you need to get this together because I'm so afraid that a lot of you are going to put yourselves out of this competition that it's got great potential and stop using all these hands is just too much it just takes away from you keep it simple less is best okay thank you hope the face is treating you [Music] well that was shock that was like oh my God na is really scary just got to hope that I'm not got kicked out now because I did use my hands so I was going to use my hands but now I'm like I think the yeah I think that they want us to not use like yeah okay she was pretty angry I'm not going to lie everyone was like like but that definitely put more pressure on because a lot of the girls and myself even we had a pose ready and we had to get something else ready now so now yaa remember yes your one shop okay prepare yourself oh wow ready yeah I love this picture love it you do yay this the type of pictures we've been looking for it definitely is I think once I went in the pictures got better Britney you look natural and beautiful what came out was much more simple beautiful picture straightforward and raw like you wanted yeah this is a beautiful picture I loved Shantel she was confident she is beautiful there are definitely a few Front Runners in my eyes I thought Natalie was great because she just had this Mega wat smile she just came in like you remind me of Christy Brinkley I get that a lot actually I like Olivia this is just a beautiful shot this just embodies you my name is Susan I'm from South Sudan but I never I never been there I didn't grow up there my family left South Sudan because of war and me I grew up in Uganda in the refugees Camp I would like to be a model because it's my dream to be a model but I haven't done any modeling none at all none at all hi Susan hello how are you I'm [Music] good if you just come down to the on the green uh Mark okay thank that's it okay you ready yes 1 2 [Music] 3 interesting I love this I thought I was going to interesting I really like this picture I didn't think I was going to like it because what we're looking for is a fairly full frontal picture so we can see your face yes but I mean it's really cool you have this really cool look about you you have a great haircut you have a great bone structure and you're smiling and you look cool still which is kind of hard to pull off yes through that how long may I ask have you been modeling actually I haven't done any casting yes you haven't done any castings so you've done no modeling no there's something special about Susan but the thing is when you take on an office you have to really know that you have the time to give a lot of these girls have experience how will you who's never modeled before be able to compete with them cuz I normally at home I practice and practice you've been practicing yes yes whether she could be on team Naomi I don't know Anka I haven't really done too much modeling because I've only been doing it for about a year hello Anka Hi how are you so this is an amazing opportunity but I was extremely nervous tell just come forward to your oh sorry yeah I am definitely intimidated by Naomi I'm not thrilled with your choice of pose I quite like it I have to say I really loved Anushka I thought she was a stand up I think you have a really nice energy about you I just think less is best in my books I mean I I really like it at this point Nico seems to be a bit all over the place I think we all have different things in mind but I think something that I've always had instilled in me is to always fight for what you believe in and stand up for yourself love the composition of the photo I love how how her hair is kind of natural all right next I don't trust Nicole and I think Nicole's going to play games but bring the games to Mama I can see right through them so girls you've shown us what you can do in front of the camera but the question is have you done enough to survive the first cut because six of you are about to be sent home it would really suck not to get past this point this is my dream and I'll do anything to get it me and shenik are both on the stay together so I'm not ready to go home at all even though they hated the photo I just hope that they can see the potential if I call your name out please step forward noani Claudia Haley Elise Yana [Music] car girls I'm sorry to say that you will not be going through to the next round you may leave now thank [Music] you I was disappointed in myself because I knew I could do better and to do it with my sister would have been the icing on the cake oh my God it's overwhelming I was trying to be strong for my sister but it was really hard cuz it's like we were leaning on each other in the competition that you better we us oh my God well congratulations to all 18 of you for surviving the first cut but girls don't get too comfortable in this competition there's only room for 12 of you you know my photo wasn't amazing so I definitely think you know I'm sliding on thin I tomorrow you will face your final test where you get to show the mentors the type of model that you really are you guys will have the freedom to style yourself any which way you like you're going to have hair stylists you're going to have makeup artists you're going to be able to choose from a wardrobe from General pants but girls I urge you make good decisions because how you present yourself tomorrow will determine if you make it onto one of the mentors teams or if you also will be going home coming up this is it this is the time that you get to choose your final four this is where it starts I'm here to fight for my girls Nicole why should Shantel pick you I think that I can give you what people know now what kind of do you mean what people know now in my [Music] generation [Music] I want that that is cool it's important for the girls to sty themselves because we need to see how they see themselves to go for something that was like a little bit girly and feminine I'm going for a style that is not mine I kind of want to add add feminine to Bald punk I don't know that sounds awesome I got it in my head I'm just hoping it turns out okay in the photo it will today I'm going to go the good old kellly hair I want them to see a different side of me he Shen I'm not confident I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl so I haven't had a lot of time before the competition to style myself it was scary but I have to show the mentors that I can do it and I can be versatile I decided to come with my own style this is called unated glass Sumer so this is awesome and I look really good on it I I don't deny it no deny about it this is like so much going on it's just like the energy in here is just really like oh my God oh my God jez everyone just kind of gets their game face on and you kind of do realize this is just such a high level competition it it's definitely just gotten like another whole level you know six of us are leaving today and that's you know really scary to me and I just want to give up my best so I'm trying not to be nervous I want this I want to be the face of Olay I'm going to shine this is my moment this is my last chance and you have to to get on one of those [Music] teams well ladies this is it this is the time that you get to choose your final four so how this is going to work is one of the girls will walk up behind the screen we'll project her photo from today from the St darling challenge if you want her on your team hold up your book going into the team pick I'm looking for young fun but strong I'm looking for natural beauty someone who has a confidence about her I am looking for a chameleon and someone that has a star quality about them this is where it starts lady Shantel oh I didn't expect her to take such a risk like have the natural hair and I think this is exactly what I wanted to see that extreme transformation right so so all right let's get Shantel out I do feel confident I won't be going home I will make it to one of the supermodels teams I do feel the girl should watch out because I'm the only girl who looks like I look some of the other girls should just go home now if you'd like Shantel on your team please raise your [Music] books okay Shantel both Naomi and Nicole want you in their team so you're in a very good situation oh I get two people put it up I so happy just even being on the top 12 is going to make my career 10 times better win or lose now the decision flips from them to you Naomi mhm why should Shantel pick you why shouldn't she not Pi me well I have more experience put together than Nicole and Cheyenne and I can get you through to where you want to go and Nicole [Music] I think that I can give you what people know now in in the industry and what kind of girls people know now like what's happening like in fashion and so you're no I know you model now when I saw you I felt a lot of similarities that I had and I started around your age but that's not going to be the reason why we all start as teenagers so that's not a good sprezz and that's a broad similarity finished yet I'm not I'm going to dig in honey cuz I'm not going to give up on this one seems the battle's on for you so who's it going to be team Naomi or team [Music] Nicole n yay thank [Music] you I'm so happy team noomi yay thank you for choosing me Good Luck welcome to the face thank you no I wasn't surprised next one I got Shel I Shantel I love my book I'm impressed with myself I knew that I could do it I knew that I can really do whatever anybody throws at me but I'm still impressed with myself oh Lucy so I don't mind who fix me hi Lucy hello what made you choose this outfit may I ask it's not my style but I found it fun I wanted to do something different but this challenge of self styling yes and do you really think this represents you what you're wearing if you have to think about it then the answer is no I think a lot of people with the shaved head they think that I should go edgy and I love edgy what do you think you should do I love edgy but what no not about what people think think you are really strong tring and right now I it's kind of doesn't make sense the pretty little school girl outfit ladies so if you would like Lucy on your team please hold up your [Music] books Lucy I'm so sorry you haven't been chosen but thank you for being in the really nervous um I really really want to get through and if a car doesn't go up I'm going to be devastated Sarah I'm really looking forward to seeing what her transformation yeah it be interesting to see I think so let's have a look at that photo it's similar to what I've seen myself do in the past and she right yes it's weird I think she's my girl and I think I want her on my team let's bring her saying over another so why are you saying time you don't know what time I'm going to give to my girls that's why I said I didn't want to speak to you you should say it but I think that I might I'm not of course you have teammates so you have you know everyone gets equal time and I do believe that I can get you there as an original superm model thank you okay Sarah so you've got two fantastic Tess I'm so sorry but you haven't been chosen for this competition yes I would have liked to seen a little bit more I think yes I'm so sorry to say you've not been chosen today okay to say goodbye it young I can see spirits sometimes I try not to freak people out but I've been getting stronger intuition so I'm always following my intuition and I am feeling the me right at this point M hi Britney hello how are you good my intuition says that I will be on the face and I could possibly be with you actually like I'll I'll hear something and then it will happen in my mind it's really freaky sometimes Britney says that she's psychic and listen I believe that Britney could be very intuitive oh my God it seems that your psychic powers are true congratulations you're on team Naomi oh my God Naomi I love you de Naomi shaping up just how I planned I got my dream team so that was your four top that was my four that was my four out Jan and Naomi you now have your teams but Nicole you still have two spots left I do but there's four girls still in the competition well this could work out good for you I think so I'm really happy don't say they don't save the best for last oh my [Music] God I have no idea what to expect I kind of think they're going to throw like a little twist or something in there but I don't think I've actually ever been this nervous before it would mean so much to me to get in and I'm so worried I'm not going to I've come all the sway and to go home would be sad like just nervous at the moment this is peach she shows her versatility here cuz this is a totally different look than the picture we saw so I think she did a good job on the photo tushka she has that amazing bone structure and those beautiful blue eyes Jesse she's like the type of girl that you would see maybe in Mark Jacobs Susan beautiful she reminds me of Grace Jones a little bit all my heart saw when has be in this competition until the end that is just my beginning but see what's going to happen what the J is going to say I have no idea all right so let's bring out all four girls when I first saw them come out I was like wow there's so much potential here there's a beautiful thing about every single one of these girls it seemed like it was going to be a really hard decision this is a really tough decision for me because you you guys you all have something that we could use in the industry all right Nicole who's the first girl you would like on your team oh my God thank you so much oh my gosh thank you I really believe in her I think she has a lot of potential yeah I'm really really excited and I know she's got so much to teach me and I know I have a lot of hard work ahead of me but I'm totally prepared for it all right Nicole you got one girl left to fill your team who will it be they think I'm choosing someone that is so beautiful and so endearing and I'm going to be happy to be able to give her the first steps to what will hopefully be a successful modeling
