The Dragon Ball Iceberg Explained

icebergs are something strange there's been this rising popularity of this sort of meme format where at the top you have the tip of the iceberg where is the most known things about a certain franchise as you go further down you see the depths of how far it goes secrets stuff that not even the biggest fans maybe know and just like any other franchise dragon ball has an iceberg of its own this one in particular is by woodland buckle over on twitter he's let me use this for my video there's some pretty cool stuff here and some that i may not even know about if i remember correctly i can get all the way down to the previous to last level but let me know in the comments how far down do you guys get and learn something along the way anyways i may not know everything 100 so there's going to be a budokai 3 health bar up here that signifies exactly how sure i am about this let's begin with the first level the first level symbolized by the team 4 star logo begins with the american soundtrack in case you guys didn't know dragon ball has had a few different soundtracks through its history the one talked about particularly here is the soundtrack usually credited to falconer this was a soundtrack that a lot of american kids grew up with but it's not the original dragon ball soundtrack the original soundtrack was created by tsushikehikuchi who did the music from dragon ball all the way through sea including the movies the american soundtrack is mostly rock metal and synthesizer music not my cup of tea but a lot of people like it next up is the ocean dub i'm not as familiar with the american english speaking side of dragon ball but i know a few things about this one of the original versions of dragon ball in english was the ocean dump this was made in canada with different voice actors and it brought about a lot of changes to the dialogue this is where the original it's over 9000 comes from eventually funimation decided to move the dubbing to texas and they've been pretty much dubbing it there since next up it's dr slump i'm sure a lot of you guys know about this one but dr slump is one of the first big manga by akira toriyama by the time it was finished he was already a millionaire this is the original series where aurelie comes from she has appeared in a few cameos and crossovers with goku and his friends it's a really funny series very different it's all about the robot girl aurelie just like i mentioned if you haven't checked it out i really recommend that it's fantastic next up it's the jacko manga this is where jack of the galactic control man is originally from though i know most people would probably know him from his first appearance in the anime which was resurrection of f the giacomo is one of my favorite pieces of dragon ball media and it actually didn't start explicitly about dragon ball it wasn't really until towards the end when we figured out oh yeah this is 100 connected to dragon ball this was also around the time where battle of gods was going to come out so there was just a huge hype about toriyama during that time it's also hilarious and you should definitely check it out if you haven't it's over nine thousand i also talked about a little bit already most people know this you become a huge meme it's actually not a correct translation the original line is it's over eight thousand but it was wrongly dubbed as it's over nine thousand he became a popular inner meme and and even oprah ended up saying it on the show through quoting some troll online it said this he doesn't forgive he does not forget his group has over nine thousand and finally on the first level we have team four star perhaps the most popular abridged series of all time they started from saiyan arc all the way to cellar and t studs with the boo arc but that sadly never came to be i'm sure none of you guys are unaware who team 4 star are so we'll leave it at that at level 2 represented by a super saiyan 5 goku we begin with a journey to the west journey to the west is a chinese poeum story about the monkey king sun wukong that goes on a journey to the west it's a huge inspiration for dragon ball if you look at the first arc of dragon ball we have a pig man just like in journey to the west we have song wukong and song goku the monkey king and the monkey kid song wukong also has a flying nimbus and a staff just like goku does in the first dark onward boma also plays the role of the monk and they journey to the west there's a few other references and things that parallel each other like that it's really interesting stuff and journey to the west is a hugely influential and very very historical work next up is his power is maximum most of you guys probably know it from the broly team 4 star movie but it actually originates from a drawing that a fan did and submitted to a magazine the subject was superheroes or something similar to that but the kids submitted broly and the quote was broly his power is maximum it became a meme for a while next up is the dragon ball kai censorship dragon ball kai was an edited version of dragon ball z to cut down all the filler in japan it aired with minimal censorship after all standards and practices have changed all over the world since dragon ball began when it came to america it aired on two channels that i know of one was through four kids this was very heavily censored it was it's actually funny at times there's misshapen faces because of censorship there's instead of a halo there's a glowing ball instead of spirit bomb it's like spirit ball maybe the gala gun was changed to something else it's all very silly stuff the most well known one is mr popo becoming blue that one is just ridiculous it's too much it also aired on nicktoons and it was much less censored there next is budokai 2 fusions there's a bunch of white effusions in budokai 2. this includes tiencha gokul and another version of goku stuff like that it's pretty cool stuff i don't believe the iceberg mentions it but there's also a bunch of what if majin buu absorptions like vegeta tiencha stuff like that very cool stuff this was a huge controversy that happened during the kai area drama zikai was literally about to end in japan but the composer yamamoto was caught plagiarizing this was kind of an open secret for a long time in the fandom everyone had pointed out how some music sounded very similar to others most of the stuff i remember is specifically from budokai such as the capsule obtained song being literally earth wind and fires september that's my personal favorite because of that there had to be a bunch of changes in budokai hd collection and the last few episodes of kai in japan were changed to the kikuchi score while in the united states most of the series ended up airing without the yamamoto score there is some dvds out there that have the original yamamoto soundtrack i have some of them but they're pretty rare at this point dragon ball af was the biggest myth from like 2000 to 2009 or something like that it was hilarious to see it was honestly terrifying at times dragon ball af was basically a fan conglomerate of this is what the next series is going to be it has been adapted by many many people perhaps the most famous one at this point is toyables dragon ball af coincidentally toyable is now toyotaro and he draws the official dragon ball super manga there's also young gigi's dragon ball af and prince gaz vegeta's dragon ball f video game and maybe a manga i believe and stuff like that it's really it's such an anomaly to the dragon ball fandom and i think it's wonderful honestly as much of bs it was at the time things like super saiyan 5 became something widely accepted by the fandom as yes this is what it looks like if you make something with a super saiyan 5 you'll probably make it like this there's also stuff like goku's green d zaikour a bunch of stuff like that that just became accepted as anyone can use these things in their dragon ball af work it was the early times of internet being widely available but it's very interesting stuff i might as well point out that the image of super saiyan 5 was originally created by a guy named tablos for hobi con solas magazine i believe he's spanish and he drew the original super saiyan 5 image that we see everywhere though he claims that it wasn't supposed to be goku but rather a guy named tablos and finally for level 2 we have the speedy slash big green dub the big green dub was another english dub this time it was by ab group for syndication in the united kingdom it's probably the most infamous dub in all of dragon ball it's hilarious it has a bunch of weird choices [Music] answer me who are you ah it's the green let that child alone the speedy dub is also mentioned and it's another english dub it's a bunch of bad voice acting though i don't think it's as as well known as the big green dub they dropped most of the dragon ball movies though they named some of the characters really weird things in some of them level three begins with a picture of hacha the first one here is appropriately planned to eradicate the saiyans this was a ova original video animation i believe it was used as a video guide for a video game dragon ball gaiden for the famicon it featured this guy dr raichi that wanted to get rid of all the saiyans so he creates a bunch of bad guys and there's some smoke it's a ridiculous story it's pretty dumb but the biggest takeaway from it is probably hachiak he's the big bad guy there's also some play-doh games about him and he gets a super form uh giant form there are adaptations of plan to eradicate the saiyans there's also a remake for raging blast 2 called plan to eradicate the super saiyans with updated look to it and it's overall not worthwhile watching i think it's pretty lame but that's besides the point next is dragon ball heroes this is pretty self-explanatory i i would put it higher than this honestly dremel heroes is dragon ball card game it's the successor to a bunch of dragon ball kardash games it's basically a virtual card game you get the cards you put them on the arcade machine you fight with virtual heroes and it's been going on since like 2008. it was most well known for having really cool commercials at the time and it made a bunch of people in the us think that it was a new drama series but it wasn't and now it's been adapted into a dragon ball series next up is false super saiyan this is a sort of transformation that goku gets in lord slug the fourth dragon ball z movie it looks like super saiyan goku but without the golden hair and this goes along with the original title in the movie super saiyan song goku so yes this is supposed to be super saiyan the thing is that toriyama hadn't come up with exactly how super saiyan was supposed to look like so he just gave a few notes to toei and said this is probably what i'm gonna go with of course he ended up going a different direction once he actually put super saiyan in the manga he chose white hair instead so his assistant wouldn't have to color in the hair back tango is from dragon ball super basically it's the concept there's a tingle you get in your back when you are close to achieving super saiyan then you gotta focus your key on it and then you transform a lot of people hate it it is a weird concept i'll give them that but it's basically just a part of an exchange between caulifla kale and cabba yamoshi i would actually put a little lower in the iceberg just because of how much misinformation there is yamoshi was a supposed first super saiyan along with his five other friends he staged a coup since they were the only good saiyans in the world this was before any of the saiyans conquered planet plant and named it planet vegeta he was cornered and he transformed into a super saiyan but he was outnumbered and the time ran out so he detransformed and was defeated his spirit didn't go into the afterlife instead it wandered around looking for six righteous saiyans to give his power to and for one of them to become the super saiyan god his story was written in the damakian book of legends and that's how shenron knows about it there's a lot of weird stuff here and a lot of stuff that toriyama hasn't clarified misinformation mistranslations it's all really weird next is s cells this kind of goes hand in hand with the back tangle as it they came pretty close together honestly s cells are just the collection of cells that saiyans have that keep building up once you reach a certain threshold of cells you are able to transform into a super saiyan team 4 star in dragon ball z kai refers to the fact that in one of the scenes from dragon ball z kai the final chapters which is the bu arc they got the guys from team four star to dub a scene the scene is specifically in the tournament where mr satan's movie is shown unreleased ost could mean a lot of things because there's a bunch of unreleased ost from both the english and the japanese side this might be in particular about gt since almost none of the dragon ball gt soundtrack has been released to my knowledge the only stuff that's actually been released is the stuff from path to power 16 is jiro's son refers to another interview this time it was from one of the caller manga where toriyam explained that giro based android 16 on his son his son was actually a member of the red ribbon army but he was killed he gave 16 a gentle nature and didn't want to turn him on because he didn't want him killed again ginyu's original body refers to the implication that ginyu is never seen in his original body since he has the ability to switch bodies with anybody he wants there's been a few times where there's been drawings put out of ginyu switching bodies with somebody specifically i'm thinking of a toyotaro one which is the one i think this is referring to so the blue water dub is a little bit more difficult for me as i mentioned before i'm not the most familiar with how dubbing went through the english world as i understand that the uk got the ocean dub for a large part of dragon ball z up until like the guinea arc then they started showing the funimation dub that we all know a lot of fans weren't happy about that some people say that it was very expensive for cartoon network uk to bring over that dub so instead what they decided to do was bring back the voice actors from the ocean dub and continue it in this way so basically there's two distinct english dubs going on at the same time one in the uk and one in the us though as i said i'm not the most familiar with this one we continue onward and upward to level four first up is nekomajan zee this is part of the nekomajan series by akira toriyama though the first few installments aren't really related to dragon ball nekomajin z is an all-around parody of dragon ball it's very funny it basically follows nakamagenzi who is a student of goku there's cameos by all sorts of characters vegeta goku oop etc we even get the introduction of frieza's kid kuriza as well as a new saiyan on you it's very funny stuff he's also made appearances in dragon ball heroes and the japanese version of super sonic warriors 2. the daisenchu are the perfect quote-unquote guides of dragon ball they were a series of books published that covered everything there was one for characters there was one for the anime there was one for the card games etc there's a bunch of information that we've gotten from there a bunch of behind the scenes stuff usually if people refer to something that's obscure and maybe not in the anime itself it's probably from the daisenju though slowly the prominent thing has become random toriyama interviews speaking of which in one of the full color manga it was revealed that 17 and 18 had actual real names this should be pretty obvious to most people since they were cyborgs not true androids their names were lapiz and laszuli named after the color of their eyes there were a few missing scenes in some streamable versions of the dragon ball super special such as the grand priest protecting zeno not sure why this happened though super saiyan power is what some people refer to as false super saiyan back in the day in this case we are talking about goku turning super saiyan but not one that most people know about is in one of the other world fillers when goku is fighting hell warriors like frieza and cell in the original privy for the episode goku went super saiyan in the episode goku looks like he's going super saiyan but his hair remains black i believe this was done in order to keep the reveal of super saiyan to pai kuhan a little more special it's also appeared a few other times and i guess it's become like an actual thing dragon ball online is probably my favorite thing to come out of dragon ball in more recent era it was a korean mmorpg it gave us a bunch of lore about the future of dragon ball really cool stuff some of it has been implemented into dragon ball super and dragon ball xenoverse mostly dragon ball z universe such as toa mira foo cronoa time patroller trunks the time patrol itself a bunch of stuff awesome things i may do a video about it in the future but yeah really cool stuff july 2019 refers to something sad the fact that everybody thought that that's when dragon ball super was supposed to come back if you did a little math you realize that the show that replaced rainbow super would end about july 2019 so everybody just assumed that's what was gonna happen sadly it didn't come true and we're still waiting to the day bang zoom refers to another dub of dragon ball this time it's an english language dub of dragon ball super for toonami asia i believe this was one of the first dubs of dragon ball super because it began airing in early 2017. it just really aired in southeast asia the falconer lawsuit is something very interesting after the ending of dragon ball z's dub falconer was not brought back to do gt but he as far as i understand was supposed to come back to redo the first two seasons of dragon ball z since he hadn't worked on those it was the guys behind power rangers that did that as part of the original ocean dub there was some sort of follow-up but the true problem here is the lawsuit that came in the form of falconer not being happy with the contract he was in he tried to sue funimation for like 13 million dollars and claimed that he owned the rights to the music that he composed for them funimation and faulconer have never worked together since and finally the last one in this level is kaiser neko scott being in resurrection f this one's pretty simple it's just as you expect he voiced one of the many soldiers in resurrection of one of frieza soldiers on to level five this begins with the toriyako crossover i think i would put this one a little higher i think most people probably know this or maybe i'm just thinking because i know this there was a tory cook or sober between one piece dragon ball and toriko they were the dream nine team because they all aired around nine on saturdays it's a pretty cool story they all cross over for a tournament they have to fight a giant beast and goku gets one of the best kamehamehas in the series this was this was around battle of god's time the harmony gold dub is one of the very first english dubs yes another english dub of dragon ball this was actually of the original series and it's really strange it changed a lot of things goku was named zero there is a bunch of weird things it actually became the basis for another dub at spanish dub the dub didn't go for too long the budokai three is drag i think i know what it's talking about but it's vague enough that i might be wrong if you wait like 15 minutes playing as goku in budokai 3 he will look at the screen and just stare at you blankly it's really creepy some people find i think it's just funny it reminds me of when sonic types his foot and eventually jumps up the screen in one of his games basically just telling you yo why aren't you playing next up is dragon ball's ford commercial ford actually had two commercials with dragon ball in the first one the cast wishes for a new car and then the second one goten and trunks fuse into the car it's pretty cool stuff they use the fun animation voice actors and and i believe there was one for sailor moon as well next up is vegeront veggierod is the name given to vegito in the dragon ball z manga in the viz version it's their attempt of marrying vegeta and kakarot rather than vegeta and kakkaroto which is where vegito comes from that's pretty self-explanatory the dbz vhs dubs i believe this refers to the widespread anomaly that was the fan subbing community back in the 90s basically since anime wasn't widespread in america people would buy sell and trade via chess tapes a lot of them were fans of i think the most famous one is anime laughs that basically took a lot of liberties there was a lot of curse words and even some slurs spurred out by the characters in order to make it a little edgier i guess it's pretty funny to look back at it now they also insulted some guy that i guess did them wrong at a convention in the credits bulma and budokai 3 bulma was actually planned as a character for budokai 3 and she has a model in game i believe it's used in the tutorial there's even behind the scenes footage from the extra disc of budokai 3 that shows bulma's voice actress recording fighting lines a lot of people have modded bulma back into the game villains inspired by editors is something really funny and this is worth looking into if you don't know about basically toriyama has had three main editors over the years the first one and probably the most famous is kazuhiko torishima he was actually the inspiration for dr mashirito who was a main doctor slump villain he was also the inspiration for piccolo in fact in one of the shonen jump ds games they have a fusion together toriyama's second editor you condo ended up being the inspiration for frieza while his third editor fuyoto takeda was the inspiration for majin buu the final bowed voice cast goku for example seems to be voiced by steve bloom who's most well known for voicing spike from cowboy bebop frieza and xenomorphs it's pretty clear that xenomorphs from alien inspired frieza's third form this was also referenced in dragon ball z abridged some of you guys may remember that i may as well mention here since i don't think it's on the rest of the iceberg but a lot of people also believe that predator inspired coolers final form the final one for this level is toriyama's cat i'm pretty sure this refers to the fact that toriyama's cat was a direct inspiration for beerus he's a sphynx cat toriyama also was inspired by his cat to create core and though i'm not sure if this is the same cat or not on to level 6. the dragonball zikai ocean dub is something really strange since it's kind of sort of lost media it has been confirmed to exist that is a full dub with the ocean cast but it was never released the last specials i think refers to some movie recap specials that aired on tv the first one was set around the time of super android 13 and had goku and gohan talk about some previous adventures while the second one was about goku visiting earth for a day and having a year in review with goten and gohan there's been a few other cameo appearances of goku and some other tv stuff though i don't think that's what this is referring to bobbidi being a clone of bbd also comes from a toriyama interview of the full color versions it's pretty self-explanatory that's just what he said that babadi was more or less duplication of bibi rather than a son el manga legendario is a magazine that was officially licensed all about dragon ball i don't think there's much else to say about that so i'm gonna put this level pretty low i don't know much about it i just know what it is hits clone was a giant meme in dragon ball community everybody thought that once hit was knocked out of the tournament of power that since we didn't see zeno press the button to clear him off that he would come back and that he had a clone turned out to be true and it was pretty dumb toyotaro plagiarism is about some cases of tracing from toyotaro the most famous one is goku turning around being traced off of a captain america illustration the fire safety psa is one of two psas from dragon ball the first one as i said over here is fire safety the second one is one about crossing the road they're pretty cool and i think pretty easy to find at this point it's just always cool to see new animation from dragon ball four by three movies talks about the fact that the dragon ball movies were made with both 4x3 and 16x9 in mind unlike the show which was made explicitly 4x3 the movies are more often than not shown in 16x9 though i believe you can find 4x3 versions of the movies out there the last one for this level is kaioken is inspired by super saiyan god a fan theory that the kai's specifically kaiosama king kai got inspired by the super saiyan god to create the kaio-ken i think it's very silly it doesn't really make sense and i don't think it's backed up by anything let's move on to level seven broadcast audio is something that a lot of people know about the these days so i think i would move this one up a little bit basically toei didn't keep any of the audio from the anime i'm pretty sure they only kept the movie audio so the one we get on dvds and blu-rays is really low quality a bunch of fans made it their mission to put together the clearest version of the audio by getting things like vhs tapes and other stuff like that from various people around the world so like the whole series can be found with broadcast or at least the closest thing to a broadcast audio now sadly as much as fans and even chris have it has tried we haven't been able to get the broadcast audio into an official release it seems like toy animation just isn't interested the society survival arc was a joke right around the time they were announcing the tournament of power they made a joke post about society survival and it was goku and everybody else in suits and it was just something pretty funny makaioshins are basically evil kaioshins this is something that a lot of people thought whis was for a long time though not explicitly stated as makaioshin we can't infer that both demogra and mekikabura are both that this is not to be confused with someone like zamasu who was a supreme kai to be that turned evil these kaioshin are born evil if you didn't know kaioshin and regular kais are born from fruit special fruit turned into kaioshin some of those fruits turned out to be evil the vr vs game was a vr dragon ball z arcade game it's pretty archaic by today's standards but it did feature a character designed by toriyama named the demon ozoto he's appeared recently in some dragon ball heroes stuff and he's really really ugly but you find him in the game 21 being girl's wife is about android 21 who first appeared in dragon ball fighterz and is designed by toriyama there's hints throughout the game that she is the mother of android 16's model and the wife of dr gero she has big vague memories about this sort of thing though but it's pretty obvious majin buu representing the us is about the theory that the various boos represent a part of the world in this case i'm just going to talk about majin buu since that's the main one here being overweight and just ready to blow up the whole world it's just about the united states dragon power was an americanization of a dragon ball game for the famicom a lot of things were changed goku was changed into just some monkey kid and instead of showing panties they showed sandwiches jiren being buddha is another fan theory though i think this one has a lot more validity than some other ones this basically hankers back to journey to the west buddha is one of the characters there and he destroys wukong when they first meet jiren and buddha share a lot of similarities a lot of their power has to do with their eyes the third eye jiren sits in a similar position to a lot of buddha's interpretations and the fact that goku had to enlighten himself in order to reach the same level that jiren did pretty interesting stuff i'll leave a link in the description below with a reddit thread about if you want to find out more the android 1920 retcon refers to the fact that when it originally published the chapter where trunks talks about the future and the androids he specifically refers to android 19 and 20. however as the story developed toriyama changed his mind seemingly because of torishima his old editor he didn't really like the fact that an old man and a mime were the villains so he ended up creating android 18 and 17. in later publications 19 and 20 were just completely removed from that exchange between goku and trunks the final one in this level is toriyama helping bleach kubo the creator of bleach had one cancel series before he actually worked on bleach once he submitted his draft for bleach shouldn't jump rejected it but somehow it ended up on toriyama's hands he read it was very impressed but he knew that he had gotten rejected so toriyama wrote a letter of encouragement to kubo this pushed kubo forward and he created one of the most well-known manga series of all time let's move on to eight pure gold and frieza is just some joke there was a figure of frieza released that was completely golden and some people were talking about it being a new transformation goku x and frank is one of the most legendary fan fictions of all time it's a really really strange and deranged story where goku falls in love with anne frank el armano was a way for the english-speaking world to make fun of the spanish-speaking fans of dragon ball who were theorizing the dumbest things during the tournament of power eller mano was a long head blue suited version of jiren who was jiren's brother this goes hand in hand with gohan blanco the original janemba in dr willow designs is about some promotional design and stuff about the movies before they came out that had them colored differently and looking a little different the most prominent one and the one i can find the easiest is janemba the end of gt i'm not exactly sure what it's talking about i think it refers to what it actually means geekdom just released a video about it not too long ago a lot of people think that goku died in the end geekdom argues otherwise it's heavily implied that he goes to train eternally with shenron i think that in his own way goku died but not exactly it's strange and can still be debated though geekdom's video does have a pretty final version of what actually went down gohan's age change is about the first appearance of gohan in the dragon ball manga he gives a different age than what we find now in the original publication gohan says that he's 3 years old but he was later changed to be 4 years old it's another example of a retcon similar to 19 and 20. though regardless of what he says he's still only holding three fingers up the 4d dragon ball movies were a set of attractions for universal studios japan the most famous one is when broly returns as his own form of super saiyan god thing and goku fuses with the audience into super saiyan blue there's another one also that fights frieza beat as goku's descendant is pretty much as it sounds in super dragon ball heroes world mission it turns out that beat is a descendant of goku so let's move on to level 9. the gt film special aired sometime after the baby arc it takes place a long time after dragon ball gt and focuses on goku jr who later appears at the end of the series it's not lost to the world but toy animation lost the original print so it will never look as good as the other specials do it's rather sad honestly toriyama plagiarism refers to some panels that look very similar or at least inspired by comic panels the main ones i see thrown around are of the fight between frieza and piccolo as you can see here they are quite similar there's some korean dragon ball movies that were completely unauthorized i haven't seen them though i have seen the magic begins and though it's a much more faithful adaptation than dragon ball evolution it is still very very strange yamcha for example is some sort of prince if i remember correctly although that one is a chinese movie not a korean one the korean one they're referring to is called the dragon ball fight song goku wins on goku though i haven't seen that one there's of course uncredited animators to dragon ball just like there are in a bunch of older anime not much to say about that here i'm not an animation person so this one's gonna be pretty low all of the original dragon ball z movies were released on laserdisc this was an older format that usually had pretty good definition though i don't know if there's much else to say about this one i think it's rather strange that this is here i will mention just for curiosity's sake that the movie often called return me my gohan dragon ball z movie one otherwise known as that zone in the states isn't actually titled return me my gohan that's just the tagline given in the laserdisc release of the movie the dragon ball gt live show is pretty funny because there's actually been a couple of live shows though this one only mentions the gt when there's also one for kai and i believe one for ze at least in latin america the gt-1 was a 1997 live show that had that had donkey from the first dark of dragon ball gt bringing back frieza and cell with new forms it was shown in a department store in sendai japan and if you guys are curious the full live show will be in the description but of course i don't speak japanese so i don't know what's happening this is one of the few ones that actually like completely stumped me but the german dragon ball ost i'm not entirely sure what it's talking about my suspicion is the fact that for the super saiyan 2 transformation they replaced the insert song tamashii vs tomashi with some like techno porno intro theme it's really really weird i'm pretty sure they did this things here i'm gonna start with the one i know the most about and that's vegeta's suicide do not research this is mostly a joke because of the don't research part but vegeta's suicide was a video from the early to mid 2000s by prince gaz vegeta pvg he is an italian dragon ball fan that had a lot to do with the popularization of dragon ball af during that time he's one of the first people to ever mod a dragon ball game fully in the form of dragon ball budokai af this video was part of his dragon ball af story it had to do with vegeta being completely depressed after the defeat of omega shenron and goku's leave i remember watching this when i was a kid and it's really cringy now but it was really scary when i watched it vegeta has this howl of why did you leave us kakarot you can actually still find the video on youtube basically vegeta does the deed and from what i understand because his story is a little convoluted he eventually returns as the guardian of hell like an angel demon thing anyhow now that that's done with final bowed motion controls in 1997 in japan there was a tech demo of a dragon ball video game that was rumored to be in development for the playstation this was around the time final bout was to be released the demo had a guy in the turtle geek looked up to a machine with a bunch of wires and on the screen you could see goku mimic his moves and lastly we have the dumbest one ika the legendary super saiyan this is a creepypasta that basically poses the question why didn't we get a movie four months after super android 13. after all dragon ball movies came out pretty frequently back in those days as the story tells sometimes months apart according to this creepypasta a movie did come out but only on tv it was ika the legendary super saiyan and it was all about goku's sister ika that came down destroyed an island and then fought against goku and trunks and then goku and trunks defeated her but apparently it was super gruesome and really gory and toy animation received a bunch of complaints so they destroyed the film never to be seen again they later reused the concept of the legendary super saiyan for broly in the next movie this is so dumb like this is the dumbest creepypasta i've ever heard it barely even tries to be creepy i hadn't heard about this until i researched this this one probably deserves to be at the bottom of the iceberg honestly although the video if i'm talking about it has 14 million views so maybe not i don't know anyways thanks for watching guys i hope you guys learned something new about dragon
