This Copeland looks like the devil himself. I would shit my pants when I am crossing that dude in a dark alley
I just started watching The Righteous Gemstones and itβs awesome.
Kinda topic related
There is a group among Christians who believe wealth = God's favor. They are proud of that money they bring in. Often it is actually taxed because it is from sales of religious materials. There are some who take no salary from the church. They do use misappropriated funds for things (such as the planes) but their wealth is from the crappy books they sell to desperate people. Notice I'm not defending these creeps.
They are not bothered by these criticisms. Some are really con artists. And others hopped on the money train and deluded themselves into thinking the money is a good sign.
However, not all pastors are like that. And Larry King's comment about having 2 suits is one of the most idiotic arguments I've seen lately.
AND they donβt pay taxes. Itβs disgusting.
Let them do their thing but TAX THEM, FFS!
Itβs just like the MLM conferences
Tax all churches.
Real churches have been saying this for quite a while... It's basically self improvement ( third rate self improvement at that) disguised as the gospel.... which they never even allude to, let alone preach...
I once had a two hour debate with the head of a Bible college who went from teaching biblical perspectives on finances to the prosperity gospel. I was reading about Brother Andrew at the time and the clash between the two teachings was stark. He couldn't accept the idea of provision and contentment Vs wealth
