Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I wish this doc went into detail about where they got the money to start these businesses and if they came from families that were already wealthy. Also, if you want to learn about the "real" Black elite and not just the "new money" depicted here, I suggest reading Our Kind of People by Lawrence Otis Graham. He talks about Black families that have been rich af since the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I think it's currently a series on Fox, too.
I just watched this yesterday! How funny. My personal takeaway was don't judge people by looks, especially in Atlanta.
Ha! This just popped up in my YouTube suggestions! Will have to check it out.
Where they at
I started watching this and I stopped when that first real estate guy had a white wifeβ¦ cuteβ¦butβ¦ I dunno.
I loved it! Great to see men and women that look like me making it. I had to send it to myself and watch it whenever I feel inspired.
