scripture you have these examples of the people of god being led into victory in and under strange circumstances i can imagine the people of jericho looking out the windows what are you all doing walking around we've heard of your god maybe they expected an intense military strategy maybe they expected lightning and thunder but you all are walking in circles what are you doing i don't understand maybe in in you know the the they were coming up behind the israelites they were like no no battle plan and and then oh and in every occasion you have the people of god coming out on the other side victorious and there are people that look on us and a and another one you have you have gideon with his people and he's like all right guys here we go trumpets and and water pictures basically that's what we're gonna that's our weapon of choice okay this is what we're gonna do and i imagine the soldiers like what in the world is going on but if you can keep a trumpet your sound of praise and if you can keep that that that break that light open that picture and if you can keep your praise alive people will look at you and say well how in the world are you making it how in the world are you overcoming i've still got my light i've still got my praise how in the world are you overcoming still what what is it what's the secret i'm still overcoming by my praise this is how we do it it's through our praise hallelujah if you if you have come through something just off your praise you want to step out in the aisle right now and do it again because you know the power of this we went to beaufort georgia and we have three teams we have one beginner team that's led by brother jeff newton and sister melanie newton we have an intermediate team that's led by brother earl webb and sister nikki webb and we have another intermediate team that's led by brother alan molonex and sister laura batista if the results of the first tournament were we had our beginner team they finished third out of a group of um nine teams in that division if brother jeff could come up and the quizzers and they placed third third in the division and placing fourth in on the all-tournament team was a first-time quizzer isaac verton averaging 40 points per game if he'll come up and get his trophy good job and also on making the all-tournament team in the beginning division was avery wright with 60 points second place highest wizard per game and we had one intermediate team coach by brother earl webb and sister nikki webb they placed second place in their division and finishing as the tournament high score in the intermediate division was kirsten woods averaging 98.75 points per quiz if we could have the other quizzers um dana fisher who's also one of our quizzers drew fisher is one of our quizzers sana griffis and anne-marie diaz these these are all of these make up our quiz teams um so we again we thank you for your support um your continued prayers and this is a ministry and if there is anyone you know spanish speaking any of our spanish ministry if you want to be a part of this and you speak english and you're human you're part of it this is for you this is praise god i think we need young people that know how to handle the word of god and know how to place the scripture and rightly divide and get right down to where it's at that understand the power of jesus name hey the power of the infilling of the holy ghost and a hair's breath you can pick devils off you can overcome devils that are hanging on you they got a scripture for that devil and a scripture for that devil and a scripture for that false doctrine and a scripture for this left-handed at a hair's breath praise god i'm preaching the announcements and i got to stop that you can be and so i am very excited about what that means going forward in the future we have a wonderful team that god is assembling and i'm just excited i am excited sunday night god showed up here the holy ghost moved in this house and i think that it's just a harbinger of things that are to come there it is a foreshadowing of things to come we are getting to the point where on sunday nights hey we had some we had preaching we had preaching amen and several of these sunday nights the holy ghost has just taken over and and you can't argue with it because when you have three are getting the holy ghost before getting the holy ghost shareable getting the holy ghost praise god let god have his way but but there's going to be a lot more of that and as god continues to give the increase as god continues gone to denny's that would have been the will of the lord because the three main meals of the day are breakfast breakfast and breakfast so all right genesis i'm reading tonight from genesis chapter 17 and and i'm going to deal tonight with abraham i have dealt with abraham before but i'm going to go further into abraham and in particular i'm going to be talking about circumcision i'm going to talk about the cutting of the covenant and this session is going to help people those of you that are teaching home bible studies and i am excited we have got many many people that are saying pastors and i'm teaching these people here these people there i think we should feel durham with the doctrine of the apostles and the prophets i think we should fill this city with jesus name baptism in the infilling of the holy ghost and you need to know why why and tonight i hope it's if it's alright i just want to take my time tonight i want you to know the foundation of the new birth through the lens of circumcision genesis chapter 17 and verse 9 and god said unto abraham thou shalt keep my covenant therefore thou and thy seed after thee in their generations this is my covenant which he shall keep between me and you thy seed after thee every man child among you shall be circumcised you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you every man child in your generations he that is born in the house but with money of any stranger which is not of thy seed he that's born in thy house that is bought with thy money must needs be circumcised and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant and the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised that soul shall be cut off from his people he hath broken my covenant god bless you you can be seated i'm going to be talking about the cutting of the covenant and as you are teaching and when you get to abraham in bible studies if you are learning from the line upon line bible study by the grace of god we're going to have a flip chart out for that sometime in the next 10 years and we're excited about it but in the meantime if you have exploring god's word or you have a search for truth number two it'll work you can use those pictures and you can share people with people the beautiful truths of god's word but what a strange concept what a what a a uh odd topic in the scripture people grow uncomfortable with this it's a it's a sensitive topic it is something that folks just kind of demure from because it's it's a little hard to talk about but there it is it's in the bible and i think that every word in that bible deserves exploring in particular when it preaches jesus and make no mistake about it tonight ladies and gentlemen this bible preaches jesus it preaches jesus in genesis it preaches jesus in exodus leviticus numbers deuteronomy joshua and judges it preaches jesus in matthew mark luke and john acts romans first and second corinthians galatians ephesians philippians colossians it preaches jesus all the way through to the book of revelation he is the alpha and he is the omega and it is jesus praise god i'm teaching right now but i'll always take a moment to preach about jesus i like that old song it said it is jesus it is jesus sad one weep no more he will heal the broken heart and open wide the prison door he is able to deliver evermore it is jesus so if you want a little shortcut and a primer on what to teach in bible study just keep preaching jesus and that's a little secret that the bible is jesus over and over and over it's acts 2 38 over and over and over it is the death the burial and the resurrection of jesus christ repeated with increasingly complex detail and when you're talking about abraham you are talking about a covenant a covenant a covenant is something that we are not as familiar with today it's not a word that's often used one of the only remnants of covenant that we have in the english-speaking world in the western world the spanish-speaking world is marriage and so a covenant what is a covenant a covenant is an agreement but it's not the same thing as a contract now it is a contract but it is actually greater than a contract in that marriage is greater a marriage covenant is greater than a contract now our world has managed to drag marriage down into where it's nothing but a contract a piece of paper but it is a whole lot more than that and so covenant in a contract people exchange stuff you exchange cars if you get an auto loan or a lease you exchange you agree i'll pay this much and then you'll give me this for so many years such and such an interest rate this much money down when you sign a rental agreement when you sign a mortgage statement it is a contract and in return for paying so much per month for 20 years you get a house at the end of it and and that's a contract we are familiar with contracts but a covenant is greater than a contract in that a contract you exchange stuff but in a covenant you exchange people when you have a marriage covenant you aren't just saying i'm getting your stuff you're getting my stuff you are getting me i am getting you we are coming together and we are no longer two or twane but we will be one and we are coming together and and we're exchanging people i told sisters you're getting me sweetheart and i'm thankful for that i'm thankful that she took me thankful she put up with me and i'm thankful that i got her and all these years later coming up this will be our 25th wedding anniversary a quarter of a century of her putting up with me praise god and that's a covenant and so that's something we're familiar with now covenants are important because god gave us a covenant it is an old covenant it is a new covenant and this was the sign of the old covenant in your flesh now i could talk a lot about it but some of the great proofs that the bible is true for those skeptics that are out there for the ones who insist on evidence and proof and they they have a hard time taking it by faith and they say well if i could see some scientific evidence then i'd believe the bible well you're going to have a hard time with some of that because god purposely hid himself to make a search for him but that notwithstanding there is a great proof in the bible that god is very true and that is god knew before anybody and taught the hebrews about medical knowledge they could not have had the hebrews understood quarantine the hebrews understood the spread of germs and sequestering and putting people outside the camp if someone spit on you you went outside the camp if you touched a dead body you went outside the camp we got folks can't figure that out right now in 2021. but lo here it is back in bc and the time of of moses and the law and the and abraham and they knew things how could they know that europe didn't know it until jonas salk uh and and louis pasteur and men like that came up with the with the realization that that it's actually not evil spirits that make us sick you know there was a time when when they thought evil spirits made you sick they they they taught that you were made sick by humors the humors were bad you ever hear of an ill humor sometimes they thought blood was bad and so they would take you and they would they call it bloodletting and they tap into your vein and they pull the bad blood out and get all those ill humors out and they killed a lot of people doing that and and that's what they believed and they thought that some kind of a devil had come and in in the dark ages they would go out into the glade in the meadow in the middle of the night and they would dance around the pole and they would chant it was very primitive very superstitious and something that europeans didn't have basic knowledge of hygiene and where infection came from the black plague they couldn't figure out where it was coming from and in it one day it took one of those men looking underneath a microscope and seeing these things swimming around under them under a piece of pond water and he looked at it and looked at it and he realized there's an invisible world that the naked eye can't see and they called it they didn't know what to call it they so they said they were little animals and they were tiny animals so they called them animocules we call them bacteria we call them viruses and that is what's making you sick that's also what's what's increasing now we're not learning about probiotics i'm not here to talk about biology i'm here to tell you that god knew it before any of that before the first microscope before the first microscopic examination god said go outside the camp you've got to live like this you've got to don't touch blood don't touch this they didn't know the reason why they just knew god said it some people need to get that revelation god said it i believe it that settles it let god's word be true let god be true and every man a liar i want to fall in love with the word of god it'll put you miles ahead of everybody around you it'll put you miles ahead in your marriage miles ahead in raising your children miles ahead and serving the lord and increasing so when the hebrews outlived the egyptians and scared the egyptians it wasn't because of magic it was because they followed the word of god and circumcision was an example of this the infection rate was almost eliminated by that one simple act and god instituted it into their body an obvious external symbol that i belong to the lord that his covenant is in my body and i bear i bear that covenant with me everywhere i go abraham this is how it's going to be there there was a lot of traits there's several traits that they had in covenants in those days i'd like to share some of them with you one of those was that you would trade names when you entered into a covenant with somebody if it was in marriage or if it was a a covenant to protect your land and you made a covenant with your neighbor you would cut your the palm of your hand and you would you would lock hands with the other person and and you would enter into a blood covenant with them i'll go back to that in a second but one thing they did was they would take on each other's names it's why we do it in marriage today it's an ancient ancient practice that shows i'm coming into covenant with this person and when you took the name of that person then all of your enemies knew that now i'm not dealing with one of them now i'm dealing with two of them they're not alone anymore now your enemies are my enemies your friends are my friends and now it's not only going to be one standing here there's going to be two standing here and my family and your family and we are stronger because we are in covenant together i want to tell you tonight you're stronger when you're in covenant with god when you get baptized in jesus name it's not arbitrary well father son holy ghost jesus name is it a big deal you better believe it's a big deal you gotta take the name in covenant you take his name on you the bride takes the name of the husband and if you have a problem taking the name of the husband then maybe you aren't the bride i'm glad to be part of the apostolic church i'm glad i carry the name of jesus i'm not ashamed of that name there's none other name you know none of the name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved when you enter into that covenant sarai becomes sarah abram becomes abraham the h in sarah and the h in abraham comes from yhwh the name of god in the old testament i'm giving you my name and now when your enemies see you it's not just you abraham whoo praise god when when nebuchadnezzar told them if you don't bow to my image then i'll throw you in the fiery furnace and he asks this question and who is that god that will deliver you out of my hand wrong move because i'm not alone and nebuchadnezzar looks around i don't see anybody here you don't seem so tough and well you just watch our god is able to deliver us but if he does not deliver us we will still never bow because we are in covenant i could no more bout of that statue than anything because i belong to him and he belongs to us the song of solomon said it like this i am my beloved and my beloved is mine i'm in covenant with him they threw him in the fiery furnace and that's what nebuchadnezzar got what he wanted you want to see him go through the fire do you want to see him go through the turmoil you want to see him show up that's what happens in a covenant when they come against you i'll be there when they fight against you i'll be there did not we throw three men in why is there a fourth because i'm in covenant is it 8 36 already y'all have time for this tonight i that that was my preliminaries we're getting to the good stuff now when they when they would lock hands together the blood from the cut of one would mingle with the blood from the cut of the other now don't do that today we're talking about an ancient obsolete practice you don't need to mix blood with anybody it's a bad idea but you do mix blood with jesus christ when you repent of your sins and you're baptized in jesus name and you're filled with the holy ghost the blood that was shed on calvary is given in your life and you are circumcised with a circumcision made without hands praise god i'm not there yet but i'm getting there and we're going to preach about it tonight because praise god it's a covenant and what they were saying when they joined hands that way was my because the life of the flesh is in the blood life of the flesh is in the blood what they were saying is my life is forever mingled with your life that when when when people get diseases because they use syringes and needles they are literally learning the terrible lesson that the life of the flesh is in the blood when someone else has hepatitis or someone else has hiv or someone else has some kind of an infection in their blood it is transferred to a drug user but when they insert that into the blood it's an ancient principle and the curse that was on them will be placed on you if you allow that blood into your life the only blood i want in my life is the blood of jesus christ his blood was precious blood hallelujah and that was two lives mingling it was two lives coming together probably the greatest example of that in modern day is when a man and a woman have a child and the two bloods of two separate distinct people come together into one person and that is the mingling of blood in a covenant praise god god's design but that's what the blood covenant of that day so they would exchange names they would exchange blood they they would then exchange garments i've preached about it for those of you that haven't heard it it bears repeating they would exchange garments so that when you came back from the covenant ceremony one would have on the garment of the other and and vice versa and they would walk in and every person in that village would know they are in covenant one with another that might not seem like a big deal but when you read about ancient covenantal ceremonies i look at the bible in that context something inside of me says thank you jesus thank you jesus that he went into covenant with me because when he went into covenant with us he gave us his name he mingled his blood with ours but not only that he gives us a new garment [Applause] we used to sing that song a robe of white a crown of gold a harp a home a mansion fair a victor's palm a joy untold a mind when i get there he gives me a new robe he gives me a white robe that the bible calls the righteousness of the saints amen he's coming back for a bride that's wearing a an unspotted garment without spot and without wrinkle washed in the blood of the lamb my bible describes the the priest that stood before the lord in dirty filthy garments and satan the accuser of the brother stood there accusing him and telling of all the mistakes the priest had made until the angel came and gave him a new garment a clean garment god gives you a clean garment the old life you've been wearing the old life that you have soiled the old choices the old habits the old friends the old heritage and the moth eaten corrupt stinking rags that your your mother and your father and your your forefathers gave to you he takes them off and he gives you a robe of white and he welcomes you into the house of god aren't you glad to be in the family of god i'm talking to people that come from from challenge and circumstance i'm talking about people that come from addiction and dysfunction and brokenness he says come into my house come unto me ye that labor and our heavy laden and i will give you rest it puts a robe on you and you can take your old garments and put on new garments but folks that's not the best part the best part was when he gets done putting that new garment on you he takes that old garment and he puts it on him that's what he did when he came down into this world ladies and gentlemen he came down into this broken world he robed himself in our dysfunction he robed himself in our chaos he robed himself in our political treachery right down into the into the garbage heap of political intrigue between pilate and herod when they put that purple robe on him he was wearing the political chaos of that day and that hour he came with to put on your garment in exchange for the beautiful garments that he gives you he takes your your earthly garments and he wears them and he fights your battles and he goes in to fight those devils that you never could overcome and he he came to pay a price you could not pay he came to live a life you could not live he came to die of death you could not die and when you should have died and they should have parted your garments he died and they parted his garments and they cast lots i'm talking about a covenant and so that's what a covenant looks like and in our hustle and bustle in 2021 it's so easy to lose sight of that don't give much thought to it and here we have this odd foreign idea that people just skip over the top of it genesis 17 you will circumcise every man-child that comes into your home that is born into your home that is bought and the uncircumcised shall be cut off he has broken my covenant what does it represent what is it dealing with first of all i want to tell you that the physical act is a metaphor and a foreshadowing of something far greater that old testament is a shadow and type of a greater testament to come that old testament is the moon that the woman in revelation 12 stands on but there's a garment of sunshine she's going to be wearing when you get there to revelation 12. hallelujah god's going to have a bride that stands on the old testament the lesser light but she clothed in the sunlight of the new testament and the grace of god she's clothed in full revelation and full truth it literally is the cutting away of the flesh it's what it literally is it is where they cut away the flesh as a sign i could preach to you about flesh tonight if you're going to be a son of god you're going to have to cut away the flesh if you're going to be a daughter of the most high god you're going to have to cut away the flesh you're going to have to be circumcised now lest anybody distort my words i am not preaching that physical circumcision is necessary your bible for salvation your bible says clearly in romans chapter 2 and verses 28 and 29 he is not a jew which is one outwardly neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh but he is a jew which is one inwardly amen circumcision is of the heart whose praise is not of men but of god take a little time to read deuteronomy chapter 30 5 6 7 right in there where moses said that the lord's going to raise up a prophet like unto me and he will circumcise you in your heart god's gonna cut away the flesh in a way far greater than any physical act could ever duplicate god's gonna deal with the flesh that's greater just melanin and epidermis and dermal layers because there's two types of flesh to talk about ladies and gentlemen there's this flesh that you see right here in front of you the skin that one day one day it'll lay in a casket one day it'll be buried in the ground there's that flesh but then there is another application of that word flesh and it's a much darker application and it is the fallen sinful condition the fallen adamic nature it is that which is contrary to god it is it is your carnal mind that word carnal comes from carne and it literally means flesh and whenever you hear the word carnival it literally means pleasure of flesh carnal and and carnivore when i saw those ribs i felt my taste buds start to water a little bit because the at times i'm an herbivore and then i get to the real stuff and i've become a carnivore literally a flesh eater and that's what that carnal nature is and if you need to know what it is you go with me go with me in your bible to the book of galatians the flesh there's a lot of people that think they're fighting with devils when they're wrestling with their imaginations and their thoughts and their wrestling wrestling with their appetites in their life things going on in their mind they think the devil is coming against them and he does the devil works through the flesh but but the truth is a lot of times it's not just the devil it is your flesh why can't i get rid of these thoughts brother urschen because because you've you can't just get rid of flesh you are flesh and you will have that flesh until the day that you die you've got to crucify that flesh every single day you've got to mortify that flesh you've got to tell that flesh flesh you don't control me flesh you don't stop me from going to church when it's tuesday night and you worked all day and that thought runs through your mind well i'm too tired to go to church i guess i'll stay home that's not god that's your flesh and it'll talk you out of the house of god it'll talk you out of the presence of god you grab your flesh by the nap of the neck and say you're going to the house of god you drag it kicking you drag it screaming you bring it to the altar and you crucify the flesh with the affections and lust thereof why can't i cast it out you can't cast out you you don't cast out flesh you crucify flesh you cast out the devil what is the flesh galatians 5 19 now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred variance emulations wrath strife seditions heresies envyings murderers drunkenness revelings and such like of the which i tell you before is as awful as i've also told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of god but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace long suffering gentleness goodness faith meekness temperance against such there is no law and they that are christ have crucified the flesh with the affections in lust if we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit you've got to crucify that old nature you've got to crucify that adamic nature that's a big fancy word that means the mind you got from adam it likes all that garbage that i just read about right there it's drawn to it it is of that somebody said pastor hershey you wouldn't believe what i used to be oh yes i would i know what's in the flesh paul said i know that in me in my flesh dwelleth no good thing there's no good thing in the flesh you don't need to be talking carnal you don't need to be telling carnal jokes you don't need to be hanging around carnal people you don't need to be hanging around the ones that are always looking for the shadows always looking to go out into the dark parking lot you hear me now the one that always wants to pull you out of church the one that always says let's text let's text let's talk on the phone let's stay up late at night and oh you better understand how the flesh operates it'll bring chaos it'll bring destruction it'll bring every evil thing let's just sit down here and watch this movie watch this show listen to this music that's carnal and to be carnally minded is death man you need to get to church and you need to let the let the preacher preach the word of god let the worship of the people of god carry you and walk in the spirit find a prayer room and get in the spirit let the holy ghost quicken you praise god a lot of people think they have a sin problem they don't have a sin problem so much as they are prayerless if you will pray the flesh will die you start to pray and that flesh says you forgot to get grapes at the grocery store and you won't even realize it one moment you're well i love you jesus love you jesus love you jesus and a zucchini not sinful but not spiritual carnal and you'll sit there for for 60 seconds going over your grocery list well your mouth is going hallelujah hallelujah roast beef and potato i jesus love you jesus hallelujah glory to god and you just start praying and you literally you reach out and grab that thought and you say you do not dominate me that's what the bible means when it says bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of jesus christ well i i've been praying about five minutes that's long enough you haven't even got started yet you grab that flesh and say flesh you're not leaving this altar until you're dead until the holy ghost is inside of me until the joy of the lord is bubbling over i'm not leaving here until my cup runneth over hey i got some victory i gotta get i've got some revenge i gotta get out of my heart i've got some thoughts i gotta put under my feet i like to take i like to take carnal people out and work for god because it just kills them here's how you find out if a guy's carnal say come door knocking with me look at the time i because when you walk up and you knock on that door your pride is is acting up and you're embarrassed i remember one time bishop my father told me he said he said nathan he said i want you to vacuum the foyer the church is starting vacuum's right over there well i went to get the vacuum and it occurred to me my friends were going to see me and i had a little tug of war there i was about 14 and i wanted the girls to think i was tough and i was a big guy and i not in the big guys don't vacuum floors and so i grabbed that vacuum and i thought oh man and and i i i thought about it and as i'm thinking about dad came walking back around the corner he said why haven't you started and i said well i just i don't know can't we find somebody else to do it he said you're too proud and just like that it offended me it upset me i didn't appreciate him talking to me that way and he was right if you can get offended about doing the work of god if you can be intimidated about doing the work of god when you walk up and knock on that door you are crucifying that flesh when you when you do what's right you are crucified in that flesh when you come into a youth service on saturday night don't you whisper your praise don't you ashamedly praise your god but you give god all the praise and all the glory don't you let the devil back you in the corner don't you let the carnal young people dominate the discussion you open your mouth up and say i am not ashamed of the gospel of jesus christ crucify the flesh and when you cut off that flesh it is a circumcision it is a cutting away and i'm i don't have a lot longer but i want to get to where i'm going i want to come to colossians chapter 2. amen we read the first part of this i actually read this and quoted it sunday morning but i'm going to go to the next part because we're talking about flesh tonight colossians 2 8-9 you should know it bewareless to any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after christ for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily you are complete in him which is the head of all principality and power now here watch this in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands everybody say without hands say it again without hands in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of christ i read where abraham circumcised i read where moses and zipporah circumcised i read where paul circumcised but i didn't know that jesus circumcised but jesus does and it is a circumcision made without hands what is that buried with him in baptism wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of god who hath raised him from the dead and you being dead in your sins in the uncircumcision of your flesh hath he quickened together with him having forgiven you all trespasses ladies and gentlemen the circumcision made without hands is being baptized in jesus name and filled with the gift of the holy ghost it's the death burial and resurrection literally when jesus died they cut off the flesh and they took the flesh and they buried it in a tomb and on the third day there was a new creature that came out of that tomb he was quickened he was alive the old flesh was gone the new man came forth adam was paid for death was paid for sin was paid for the flesh was cut off from the earth and the spirit came out alive the firstborn of the resurrection and when you go down in that water in jesus name buried with him in baptism your flesh goes down and when that holy ghost fills you you're a new creature in christ jesus you are buried you are risen with him the old flesh is dead ah made without hands made without hands it means it means there is no surgeon needed for that it's of the spirit made without hands means of the spirit why why do you need that because there's no surgeon that can do a work like jesus can there's no surgeon that oh i feel the holy ghost right now there are surgeons that can cut out cancer there's a surgeons that can that can deal with your liver and with your kidney and with your lungs but there's not a surgeon alive that can deal with the sin that's in a broken heart but i've got a god i said i've got a god it's quicker and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and the joints and the marrow and it's a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart you can remain standing [Music] that surgeon can't cut out what happened to you when you were eight years old but jesus can that surgeon can't cut out what happened in that dark alley when you were a teenager but jesus can no man could do it brother galindo but jesus the circumcision of christ through the new birth he can do it i'm out of time i'm out of time but the circumcision i'm talking about is of the spirit and it is a token of the new covenant when you get baptized in jesus name just like they got circumcised in their flesh you are unlike anybody else on the earth when you get the holy ghost speaking with other tongues you are marked whoo y'all got time for me to read one more scripture there are sins of commission and there are sins of omission when you when your mother says don't steal cookies brother cameron and you take that chubby little hand and you steal that cookie you are committing a transgression but then there are sins that take place when you don't do what god said in genesis 17 and 14 the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised that soul shall be cut off from his people he hath broken my covenant you can break the covenant by doing nothing all you got to do is just stay like you are and when you decide not to be baptized in jesus name i'm fine like i am when you decide that you don't need the holy ghost i'm fine like i am brother urshan that's okay that's okay knowing that circumcision is the new birth you can read this with that knowledge there's a principle in math it's called substitution how many remember geometry remember geometry you remember the principle of substitution that if a equals b and b equals c then a equals c i'll remember that if circumcision is baptized in jesus name and filled with the holy ghost we can insert that into that verse right there and the person who is not baptized in jesus name and filled with the holy ghost if they have not done it that soul shall be cut off from his people he has broken my covenant now maybe it becomes a little more clear that when moses went to go down to egypt because god said tell the people let my people go and he went down he had not circumcised his son the bible says that after god had called him god had had commissioned him that an angel of the lord stood ready to kill him and zipporah thank god for a godly wife thank god for a spouse that loves the things of god that when you miss it they catch it thank god for that be careful who you marry you want a woman you want a husband that understands the cutting of the covenant and she took her son and circumcised him it's a it's a it's a rough story it's it's it pulls no punches and she throws the flesh at the feet of moses and says a bloody husband art thou to me i don't want to be about the work of god without taking care of the business of god and i can't preach the gospel if i don't obey the gospel let's lift our hands to heaven i'm talking about the covenant tonight i want to walk in the spirit i want to crucify the flesh with the affections and the lust thereof i'm going to open this altar these last few moments i've gone long i know the hours late but i want somebody to come down here and say god i want to be in covenant with you i'm giving you myself i'm i want you i want your blood mingled with my blood i want your garment if you'll take my garment i i want your name on my life it's the cutting of the covenant it's why we baptize in jesus name it's why we're filled with the holy ghost made without hands the circumcision of christ oh somebody lift your hands to heaven give god glory somebody magnify him in this house i've been covenant with him i'm in covenant with him oh thank you jesus [Music] thank you jesus walk in the spirit you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh it's time to pray it's time to read that bible it's time to crucify my old nature it's time to crucify my bad attitude it's time to stay in that prayer room until something [Music] happens in my life [Music] i'm cutting away the flesh i'm cutting away the flesh i'm cutting away the wrong way of thinking i'm cutting away the wrong way of dressing i'm cutting away the wrong wrong way of acting i'm cutting away my old lifestyle [Music] pure and holy [Music] [Music] with thanksgiving i'll be [Music] i'll sing it with this one last time lord prepare me for me prepare me jesus [Music] wish i had more time one of these days we'll have to talk about how when they circumcised on the eighth day they named them and when you are circumcised with the circumcision of christ you're named oh yeah that's when you get your name and that's why you're baptized in jesus name buried with him by the circumcision of christ they named john john on the eighth day they named jesus jesus on the eighth day and when you get baptized you get named by the name of jesus christ it's a beautiful truth you got to know why we believe what we believe we're not following cunningly devised fables but we're following a more sure word of prophecy that you do well that you take heed as into a light that shineth in a dark place until the daytime and the daystar arise in your heart ah praise god amen
