I'm stoked for this series!
Jillian Anderson, as soon as she moved, as soon as she opened her mouth - THATCHER! And a shout-out to the not mentioned Denis Thatcher too - very lifelike. Thatcher was my nemesis in politics and I have nothing but horrid memories of her, but I watched a documentary recently that portrayed her as a woman who was forever quite anxious about being in the Queen's presence, and in later years, beyond politics, they actually became firm friends.
There is something totally powerful about Olivia Coleman riding out with the troops in the way that clip is filmed - love it. Helena Bonham-Carter is bringing even more awesomeness to a punchy Margaret, and I never tire of seeing Erin Doherty as Princess Anne. Of all the episodes of every season, I would say she is the one who would cause most difficulties in a real Spot The Difference contest with the real Ann of the time.
That early shot of Diana hanging out of the car is surreal.
Ok but the important question is in what order would you shag these women?
