The C.I.A. Tried to Recruit Me!

well hello and happy holidays everybody I have some very exciting news to tell you all are you ready the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States government is interested in bringing me on board I'm in the CIA are you joking with me right now you're probably wondering how this exciting development came to be well they sent me an email yesterday a guy named Gerald Smith reached out to me and got straight to the point hello there you have been selected to be CIA agent for United States of America for more information please reply back or message on hangouts regards Gerald Smith CIA recruitment well I never thought that the day would come I was wondering when the CIA or the FBI was going to come knocking on my door to utilize my talents but finally here we are so I wrote back immediately and I said interested and Gerald said ok sir I'm going to need your first name and last name and also your date of birth for your ID and I thought ok really the CIA probably knows more about me than I do why are they asking me for this so I responded with my name and my birthday Benjamin Dover July 4th 1984 you get it right Ben Dover ok sir when are you available for interview and I told them that I could be available as soon as possible and then he said you will have to come to our headquarters here's our address 600 showers drive Mountain View California nine four zero four zero United States okay I thought that their headquarters was in Washington DC not California but either way that's a long ways away from me how am I going to get there but then he says Skype is arranged about so I thought thank heavens and we scheduled the time for the interview and I made sure to dress up nice and be ready for the interview but when the time came to Skype Gerald said for the interview I will have to charge you $500 what he said we use a special government version of Skype and it costs $500 okay like $500 per call he said yes wow that is the craziest thing I've ever heard $500 for a Skype call he said this is top secret CIA Skype very secure so five hundred dollars is needed okay this must be why our government is so in debt I said okay and how do I pay that he said what is convenient for you and I thought well what would be a good spy answer I thought about all the movies that I'd seen and I said I can put the money into a mailbox on Main Street and one of your agents can pick it up and he seemed to be okay with it and then he said I need a photograph of your face to complete your ID card you will need your ID card to continue with the interview now before I send the picture I took a close look at his and it seemed very professional and I thought that's probably not him so I went to Google Images and I did a reverse search for the image and check it out it's a stock photo that anybody can buy on shutterstock.com so I thought okay I'll just do the same thing so I grabbed an image from the same page and I sent it to him saying it was me and then within minutes he said okay sir your ID card is complete and I was like may I see it and then he sent me a picture this guy can't be serious he said you will require the ID card for the interview and I said okay will you be sending it to me he said yes shipping will be $300 this guy has the most creative ways to get me to send him money and I said okay why so much he said this is top secret ID card for the CIA one of our agents has to deliver it okay how should I pay he says check and I thought okay let's see if he'll allow me to send the check to the address that he provided earlier I said I will mail the check here six hundred showers drive Mountain View California nine four zero four zero United States and he said that that would be okay but after googling the address I see that it's a Walmart so now I'm totally confused he wants me to send money to a Walmart is this guy like a Walmart employee I said when I type in the address you gave me this is what I get and I send him a link to the Walmart and he responds that is our secret headquarters a Walmart he said we have a partnership with Walmart we rent out storage space for headquarters and I thought okay so who do I address it to so I gets to a CIA agent and not just some Walmart employee he said address it to Gerald Smith all right so check this out I actually pulled a little trick on the guy when I sent him the link to Walmart I actually sent him a redirect URL that I generated from grab fi dot link and you can go here and you can take any URL and you can convert it this will allow you to get the IP info of whoever clicks on it which this guy was dumb enough to do showing me his IP address originating from I promise you that gratify is not paying me for this I really just love the tool because now I know not only where he is but I even know things like what kind of computer he's using and I asked him if he was in California and he said yes and then I'm like okay are you sure you're not in Auckland New Zealand right now hello hi hello I think I scared Gerald away I thought that my super spy skills would have impressed him but I guess not so unfortunately this video doesn't have the ending that you were hoping for but at least you now know how to spot a scammer and you now know where the CIA has their top secret headquarters [Music]
