verse 15 now you Philippians know also in the beginning of the gospel Paul wrote when I departed from Macedonia no church communicating with me the word communicated there is the word partner with me in the Greek text concerning giving and receiving but you only for even in Thessalonica you sent once and again unto my necessity Paul says not because I desire a gift but I desire fruit or results that may abound or increase to your account interestingly enough the English translation of the word account the Greek word is actually logos which is translated everywhere else word that's referring to the word so what he said here was I I don't a gift but I desire result I may abound to what you have been saying and what God said but I have all in a bound I am full having received a repair for deines the things that were sent from you and order of a sweet smell a sacrifice that acceptable and well pleasing to God but and actually in the Greek it is now my God shall supply all your need or the mail supernatural wealth transfer scholarships tuitions paid in full bills paid off debts demolished and royalties received at properties acquire we're getting our buildings our lands our houses our vehicles our equipment and our aircraft God is bringing into our hands seed we command our abundant harvest to come abundant harvest come to us now harbors angels go get it and bring it to us right now in the name of Jesus and father we're grateful we thank you for the honor and privilege we sold this out of love in the name of Jesus and everybody said oh man praise God hallelujah now turn if you would to Acts chapter 2 amen we began a study on the book of Acts and we're now studying this wonderful book praise God in fact in my opinion is one of the most exciting books there is in the scripture now at the top of your Bible that says Acts of the Apostles and the book of Acts is not about the Acts of the Apostles the book of Acts is about the Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles just like the things that Jesus talked about in mark 16 he said these signs shall follow the believers in my name or in his authority they shall cast out devils and speak with new tongues that they take up harm them to lay hands on the sick they shall recover all those are acts of the Holy Spirit through you when you operate in Jesus name or Jesus authority hallelujah so we left off last Wednesday night Acts chapter 2 with verse 21 and we're going to pick up here in our verse-by-verse study in the book of Acts in verse 22 praise God it reads II Men of Israel hear these words Jesus of Nazareth a man approved of God amen that word approved means demonstrated and exhibited by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs which God did by him in the middle of you as you cells of yourselves also know him being delivered by the determinate counsel now the word determinate counsel here it means the appointed purpose in other words God had a purpose he appointed Jesus for this purpose and in fact I'm gonna have you every time you see the word in verse 22 that line 3 a man approved of God Circle that word God 23 you see that again circled the word God amen verse 24 circled the word God amen because it's pointing something out to us there's God the Father hallelu isn't called Jehovah there's the second person of the Trinity Yeshua HaMashiach Jesus the Christ himself hallelujah and there's the minister of the Holy Spirit 1st John chapter 5 tells us over there in verse 7 and 8 there are three that bear record in or father the word and the Holy Spirit Jesus is the word these three are one alright so it said here then that him that's Jesus being delivered by the appointed purpose and the foreknowledge of God in other words God had predetermined that this is what he wanted to happen he said you have taken and by wicked hands at crucified and slaying him that's Jesus well let's read since it said that God predetermined that Isaiah prophesied that to let us know that so let's turn to Isaiah chapter 53 and once again let's read what it was that God predetermined and understand that what he predetermined he did it for me and he did it for you Isaiah 53 let's read verse 6 all we like sheep have gone astray we've turned everyone to his own way and the Lord so in the Old Testament when you see the term D Lord that that word there means Jehovah means the father God Jehovah amen the Lord laid on him that him is Jesus the iniquity in here in the word iniquity means the punishment all of it all of us all Jesus was oppressed he was afflicted yet he opened not his mouth he's brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her Shearer's is dumb so he opened not his mouth he was taken from prison and from judgment who shall declare his generation for he was cut off out of the land of the living why for the transgressions of my people was he stricken or our rebellion he made his grave with the wicked with the rich in his death because he had done no violence neither was any deceit in his mouth notice verse 10 yet it pleased the Lord that's to follow it pleased the father to bruise him he had put him to grief Hebrew word there Greek means he put him to be afflicted and he put him to be sick when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin God the Father is the first one to operate the principle of seed time and harvest he saw Jesus as seed and he gave up Jesus planted Jesus because Jesus was at that time the only begotten Son of God why did God do it so that now today John 1:12 could be true as many as received Jesus them gay he power to become sons of God I'm one of those sons of God I trust you one of those sons of God there are billions and billions of sons of God but it started with God planting one that he had he worked his own law so let's read it some more it pleased the Lord to bruise him he put him to grief when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin he does God the Father shall see see the word his is italicized mean there wasn't the text he shall prolong days he's keeping the door open so that more of us can get in and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand that pleasure of the Lord was that determined purpose verse 11 he shall see of the travail of Jesus soul and he shall be satisfied by his knowledge shall my righteous servant of Jesus just define many for he shall bear their iniquities or their sins and their punishment praise God so when we go back then then in chapter 2 verse 23 so jesus being delivered by the appointed purpose and foreknowledge of God the Father he as Peter is speaking on his day of Pentecost he says you have taken him by wicked hands that crucified and slain whom God once again circled that word God God the Father has raised Jesus up having loosed the pains of death because it was not possible that he should be holding of it well there's read Matthew 28 again all this was in the plan of God God had foreknowledge he knew that Satan was going to fall into the trap we call it the rope-a-dope hallelujah and and take a innocent man Jesus and all the way to the very pit of hell and the end result is going to be you and I praise God are going going to have eternal life after Jesus is raised from the dead notice Matthew 28:1 in the end of the tsubame as it began to draw dawn to on the first day the week Came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it his countenance was like lightning his raiment white as snow and for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men the angel answered and said unto the women fear not for I know that you seek Jesus which was crucified he is not here he is risen as he said come see the place where the Lord lay well acts told us God raised him up it was God the Father raised him up through the power of the Holy Ghost loosed the pains of death in verse 24 because it was not possible that he should be holding of it verse 25 for David speaks concerning him I first saw the Lord Arthur for my face and so David was a prophet of God and God showed David the future of what was going to happen and David of course wrote sums about it and prophesied about it he said David speak concerning him I for soul saw the Lord Arthur for my face for he is on my right hand that I should not be moved now that's the 16th psalm so let's go back and read it amen Psalm 16 verse 8 and let's see what it says thank you Jesus he says I have set the Lord always before me because he is at my right hand born at the minute I shall not be moved therefore my heart is glad my glory rejoices if my flesh also shall rest in hope for thou will not leave my soul in Hell neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption amen and so David saw this David promise I'd about this let's read verse 26 therefore did my heart rejoice and my tongue was glad moreover also my flesh rest in hope why because dog will not leave my soul in Hell neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption you know this week I do Bible study for our french-speaking audience with an interpreter praise the Lord and one of the questions after the question and answer was well you say that Jesus went to hell for us you know there are ministers who won't allow Jesus to go to hell and I'm telling you if he didn't go to hell then we are going to hell because the full price for our sin had to be paid we already read a verse in Isaiah they told us Amen that he paid the full price but here we've already read some some talked about that very thing it tells us here in Acts chapter 2 and we'll just keep on reading verse 28 thou has made known to me the ways of life thou shall make me full of joy with thy countenance men and brother let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David he is both dead and buried his supporters with us unto this day therefore being a prophet of God knowing that God hath sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins on other words by his physical line according to the flesh he will raise up Christ to sit on his throne who seen this before God the Father saw this before spake of the resurrection of Christ that his soul was not left in Hell there it is praise God so there's another one right there neither did his flesh see corruption and of course the Jews thought that the whole issue with Lazarus about Lazarus being dead for days like whether it matters is 14 days or two days it mattered to them because they believe that your spirits still hung around the earth for three days but then at the fourth day it was indeed gone in other words your soul has or your body has decayed so it says here his soul was not left in Hades is the Greek word neither did its Leslie ruin or corruption this Jesus have got raised who God did so we keep seeing these it's the plan of God it was the appointed purpose of God just the foreknowledge of God praise the Lord to set this up so that you and I could be delivered from death delivered from Hell delivered from Satan praise God thank God for his holy plant hallelujah let's keep reading praise God verse 33 therefore being by being by the right hand of God exalted having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost he have for this which you now see in here now notice that said here that Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God well let's take a look some other verses on that turn the Hebrews chapter 10 thank you Jesus I want to take a look at verse 12 over there hebrews chapter 10 verse 12 says but this man may furnace and if you read verses before it you'll know it is this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down on the right hand of God or the father from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his foot rest amen and so Jesus today is seated after he was raised from the dead praise God he's seated now at the right hand of the throne of God the right hand the throne of God is the seat of authority it's the seat of power praise God Philippians chapter 2 told us that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the koreas the highest authority of all in three worlds heaven earth and hell and that every tongue will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father amen hallelujah alright so let's go back here notice it said that that he received the promise Jesus did verse 33 having received of the father the promise of the Holy Ghost well he made that Acts chapter 1 let's go back over to Acts chapter 1 verse 2 until the day in which he Jesus was taken up after that he through the Holy Ghost have given Commandments unto the Apostles whom he hath chosen then notice what Jesus told them amen he said in verse 4 and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father which save he you've heard of me notice the promise of the Father for John truly baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence which is why we call it the baptism of the Holy Ghost because that's what Jesus said it was Alleluia and so as we go back to Acts chapter two praise the Lord we read once again every 33 so therefore being by the right hand of God to see the power he's now exalted lifted up the highest authority of all he received of the father the promise of the Holy Ghost he has shed for this which he now see and here now remember Peter this is on the day of Pentecost he's speaking to the Jewish people who are there for the feast of Pentecost the festival praise God and they stumbled out of that upper room and they were they were speaking with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance and in fact their behavior was such that they said about them when we studied this in Acts chapter 1 these men must be drunk praise the Lord well Peter said now you have seen that we have received the Holy Ghost you see it and you hear it which tells us something about the baptism of the Holy Spirit there is a physical evidence that you can see and hear what was that evidence that evidence praise God they were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance and you will see this all the way through two acts of the Apostle there is the new birth but then after you are born again there's even something even beyond that praise God whereby you can operate in full fuller power and that's the baptism of the Holy Spirit which you can see and hear hallelujah amen praise God let's continue verse 34 for David is not ascended into heaven David was not like Jesus Jesus of course in Acts chapter 1 verse 11 over there it told us that Jesus was talking to the disciples and then he ascended up into heaven and the angel didn't appeared to those disciples or apostles later and said Ye men of Galilee why stand ye gazing into heaven this didn't happen to David that way David is not ascended into heaven but he said unto Him he said himself the Lord said unto my lord the lord jehovah said unto my lord jesus christ praise god sit down on my right hand until i make thine enemies thy footstool we read that a few moments ago there in in the book of hebrews and what's interesting about that god the father said to jesus' son sit down on my right hand where is God and Jesus is expecting his enemies to be made his foot rest through two things first of all Ephesians chapter one told us when we studied the book of Ephesians it told us that today we are the body of Christ Jesus isn't the head but we're the body and it goes on to say and Ephesians 1:22 we are not only to church with his body but we also complete him we are the fullness of him that fills all in all in other words we complete the Ministry of Jesus in the earth because like Jesus praise God we have the Holy Spirit on and we have the Holy Spirit in us and we have been given Jesus authority and because we've been given his authority we are able then to exercise authority over the devil mark 16 15 16 17 it says in my name or in my ornament in my authority the first thing they do they will cast out devils exercise authority that's the enemy of God we keep him under our feet that's where he belongs and that's what it says here praise God I until out to I make nachos I foot by foots to that second and of course this is all orchestrated by God the Father God the Father what the Holy Spirit is leading in guiding us so that we can walk on the devil throughout our life in Jesus name and that's that's worth three praise God's right there all right let's continue amen verse 36 chapter 2 therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus Christ whom he had crucified both Lord and Christ both glorious and christeson agree both Korea's means the highest authority and Christ means here's the Messiah and he is the one who was anointed verse 37 so now when that crowd the people heard this they were pricked in their hearts and they said to Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and brethren what shall we do then Peter said unto them repent now the word repent means to reconsider reconsider what and also means the turn going the opposite direction praise the Lord so he's telling them to reconsider what reconsider what you did reconsider the fact that you thought that Jesus was just a heretic and that you you murdered him you put him on a cross and you didn't think he was the highest authority of all change am I now and recognize that he is the Lord he is the Christ he is the one the anointed he is the Savior receive him as Lord today and then of course if they do that he said reconsider and then be baptized every one of you in the name now once again the Greek word for name doesn't refer to title the Greek word for name is anima anima refers to Authority and character first of all the highest a characteristic of God is that God is love Amen but the other part is that he is Authority praise God so you know you say what's your name my name is Keith but he carries certain authorities with it amen indeed that authority is transferable I can take my American Express card or whatever card amen and give it to my wife and my wife can use that card in my name in my authority and those those places will give her whatever it is she wants well praise God Jesus Authority was gained through conquest over the devil and that Authority has been transferred onto us Matthew 28:18 and 19 says praise God praise God all authority has been given unto me at heaven and earth jesus said go ye so he transferred that authority now to you and transfer that authority to me when we are born again and members of the body of Christ amen so then he said so change your mind reconsider and then be baptized every one of you in the authority amen and in the love of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin order for the washing away of sins and ye shall receive and you shall receive and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost often times people confuse this whole issue with water baptism you see what water baptism is about when you go down into the water you're saying here symbolically Jesus was buried and when he was buried they buried me too when you are coming up out of the water you're saying but he did not stay in that grave he rose from that grave and when he arose I arose also to newness of life praise the Lord it is a public expression to the world hallelujah and once again in Matthew 28 just for a minute also again people get hung up on the formula it is it is it the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost was the name of Jesus with us you only have that problem if you don't know what the greek word means once again he said in verse 18 of matthew 28 jesus came in speaking to them saying all EXO zia is the word here amen I thought it also means Authority all authority is given unto me in heaven in Earth go ye therefore make disciples of all ethnic so all groups of people baptizing them in anima the authority and the character now the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost what was 30 the Father Son and Holy Ghost amen that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father Philippians chapter 2 so when you baptize someone in the authority of Jesus praise the Lord whether you say name with Jesus only if all of a sudden the Holy Ghost is an issue the issue is your baptizing them in Jesus authority he died he rolled I died I rose he's now the authority and we're the authority he exercised power over the devil we exercise power over the devil hallelujah glory to God all right now let's go over verse 39 amen for the promise or the announcement of the Holy Spirit is unto you and to your children he says and to all that are afar off even as many as the Lord our God shall call and with many other words a meant in other words we just saw here part of his sermon with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untoward generation the word on tart means perverse save yourself from this perverse generation notice verse 41 then they that gladly received his word were baptized and the same day notice they received the message of salvation they were baptized amen the same day they were added unto them three thousand souls three thousand people got baptized initially on the day of Pentecost oh what a message what an anointed praise God and verse 42 they continued diligently in the Apostles doctrine which is their teaching number one they continued in the Apostles fellowship praise God corneal which means and partnership they became partners with them number three and then breaking a bread and and sold amen they are together with each other and prayers you know part of the problem with this whole lockdown from a spiritual perspective is that the Bible repeatedly tells us about the importance of fellowship one with another being under house arrest locked into homes stops that fellowship indeed is one of reasons why the founders of this Republic the United States of America very first amendment to the Constitution United States says that Congress shall make no law establishing religion or forbidding its free exercise thereof amen because they understood that man is not just the body but that man is spirit soul and body and that man needs to be ministered to spiritually socially praise God as well as physically amen and it's the very first amendment there's a reason why it was first and it's wide these lockdowns at least forbidding churches to me is unconstitutional praise the Lord so I'm gonna say about ten but let's keep on coming a minutes and so they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship and breaking of bread and in prayers and fear came upon every soul and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles and all that believed were together and had all things common and sold their possessions and goods and parted them to all men as every man had need I mean they're filled with the love of God now it didn't say here that the Holy Spirit required them to have all things coming but it did say that they decided to have all things coming love filled their hearts praise the Lord and those verse 46 and they continuing daily with one Accord in the temple so I want you to notice that these new believers these 3000 people met every day and that they were in one Accord now that word one Accord or oneness or unity is a theme followed throughout the Bible and we see it with Jesus Jesus said in Matthew 18 chapter verses 18 19 and 20 he says even if two of you shall agree a greek word agreed that means harmonized together coming to agreement get in one Accord if you if any of you agree on or touching anything they shall ask it shall be done for them of my father words in heaven I believe the 20th verse says for where two or three are gathered together in my own Irma in my authority and in my character I am there one Texas to make good that which they agree on in other words oneness unity is necessary in order to have God's movement among us praise the Lord God will not cut in a stripe for us we found out reading 1st Corinthians the 11th chapter that many are weak and dying prematurely open themselves up for corner buyers and open themselves other issues when they are in strife oneness is very important notice this church they continued daily with one Accord in the temple so they're meeting in the tip later on when we get into chapter 4 we'll find out we're at a temple but they met in the temple breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising God having favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved praise God well we have finished Acts chapter 2 and Men a whole lot happened during that time you need to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you say well how can I do that I'll tell you how the New Testament book of Romans in attempt chapter verse 9 tells us what to do it reads that if you will acknowledge with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the highest authority of all shall believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead thou shalt be saved it reads for with the heart man believes unto right stand with God and with your mouth acknowledgement is made unto your salvation I like verse 13 it says whosoever that would include you wherever you are from whatever happened to you praise got what your color is or or sex is whatever it is whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved hallelujah and so we're gonna do that in just a moment then there might be some of you here who are Christians but you fell away from God you're out of fellowship with God you decided to come your own pastor you stopped going to church all kind of issues you became the judge and judging other people's actions and then fell out yourself you open the door for the enemy to come to you and you've now become : your heart but now you recognize I made an error I need to come back to God well what does the Bible tell you what did you do first John chapter 1 verse 9 was written to Christians it reads if we acknowledge homological there if we acknowledge our sin that's to God God is faithful and just in other words he's qualified to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness well if you've been cleansed from all unrighteousness what do you do drop two on what are you righteousness and right standing up God again so if you're not born again or you're not sure or you're someone's been born again but you fell away from God for some reason you want to reattach yourself we're gonna pray I'm ask you to bow your head wherever you are right now that's right just bow your head and we're about to pray in the name of Jesus pray this with me out loud and this issue will be handled for you prove me down dear Heavenly Father that's right prove me out loud dear Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus I do believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God that he died for me on the cross at Calvary where he carried my sins for me I believe Jesus you will put in the grave I also believe you are risen now you are alive now come into my heart I accept you as my savior and ask the master of my life I repent of sin I'm sorry
