The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - Let's Play - Episode 55 [Nothin' Funny]

hey everybody welcome back to Northern Line plays The Binding of Isaac rebirth it's been going so well lately you know what let's not even mess with it we're on Lazarus let's play as Lazarus uh going for a Cathedral plus chest kill if possible vs 82 make sure that no that's an S draw like a little snakes tongue on it or somethin X 196 all right let's begin good start of all the times that sound can show up to have it show up with puberty is not actually that bad could have been a health downgrade could have been in tears downgrade could have been a speed downgrade any one of those would have been a little bit more disconcerting but for now you know it's it's not a good pill but so be it we're making some really good progress in in rebirth lately I've been having some good momentum good runs this is a Taurus Taurus is an incredibly good item and especially the fact that we've picked it we got a speed downgrade but that's okay but the fact we picked it up so early gives us ample time there's a tinted rock on this room gives us ample time for a a synergy to show up what are some good synergies with this uh obviously Midas touch or like turdy touch plus petrified poop or something like that you know if we anything that gives us the ability to deal a lot of damage well rated invincibility or you know convert enemies into gold or convert them into poop and have that poop have a good chance to pay out with something that seems amazing as well because we're going to be getting gamekid on every room that takes over a certain amount of time and probably as we're starting here most these rooms are gonna take more than that amount of time I don't mind that we took that damage it was a learning lesson let's put it that way basically our rage builds slowly and well not that slowly but once it gets built up to a certain point maybe the gamekid effect you probably see me use it multiple times I think even our character changes colors a little bit like they start to get a little bit more red maybe as Taurus is about to go like we're getting a little deeper shade of red here I don't want to close my eyes to test it all the way but if we can just survive on a room for like 2030 seconds we'll get the game kit effect and then pretty much just go to town on on dukkha flies here if you get away from that rock that'd be even better but hey there we go meet great upgraded it accomplishes all three of my great aims in an Isaac run one get HP to get damage maybe not in that order and three thinking about what I'm gonna do in this episode is over tearing into a juicy brontosaurus leg of something you got to forgive me it's almost 8 p.m. here I'm getting a little hungry different people have different dinner times it's actually one of those things I find very interesting it you know it sounds like I'm trying to pick you up or something right now you know what I find interesting when people eat dinner around the world but now I'm you know when I was growing up dinner was six you had dinner be meeting supper you know the the late meal you ate dinner at six you ate lunch at you know 11 or 12 depending on that well when school served it I guess why why play the blood bank and lower your chance of getting a deal with the devil no blood banks don't lower your chance of getting a deal with the devil or they didn't in vanilla at least okay and breakfast you know whenever you wake up probably sometime around 7:00 a.m. and I've gotten older and I set my own schedule live on the west coast I usually end up eating breakfast at like 11:00 a.m. lunch is at like 6:00 and then dinner while not lunch not at 6:00 lunch at like 4:00 or 4:30 and then oh come on dinner could be anytime between like the hours of 7:00 and 11:00 sometimes even later than that actually it's it's weird just kind of interesting I think when do you eat dinner where you from and when do you eat dinner kind of some personal questions maybe you can throw your social security number in there too if you don't mind there is a tinted rock over there it's gonna be a tough sell for us to get that if we have a bomb there's there's a couple of things we can do one is probably open this area maybe find a secret room as well but we should trade one bomb for two bombs on our previous room first I think it's also like in South America dinner tends to be eaten pretty late at night thought I heard something that like it's typically like eaten just before bed well that's not very good for us they're not eating before bed I mean that you know may not be good for you either because you're not expending too much energy afterwards if you try to go on like a weight loss program or something like that but I like a late-night meal I like to have a full belly when I go to sleep you know again might not be great for me but it is so it makes gives me a little bit more sleep sleeps good for you you know if I go to bed a little bit of an empty stomach yeah I just feel like I I'm missing out a little bit that's triple shot I don't know I'm talking out of my ass by the way triple shot is a it's a great item and it also synergizes so well with a number of different things so I'm excited to have it I'm really glad we didn't have to leave this floor without it and now if we can just snag a deal with the devil which is reasonably likely I don't really want to gamble yet it's reasonably likely that we can beat these two monsters without getting hits I can make that happen there's so many good items that synergize with triple shot we've had it a few times in the past I won't shy away from it now though if we could get you know like for example you know oh cool that was close maybe like a triple shot mom's knife or a triple shot brimstone either of those would tickle my fancy sweets shot speed upgrade but also a tarot card that's a good tarot card I'm gonna take it even though I don't think this item is that good Gympie doesn't give us very many spirit hearts but I like the precedent I'm having a deal with the devil I think we're gonna leave even though he could gamble a little bit now the hero fonts a weird one I'm not gonna take it the reason I'm not going to take it why I'm gonna take it but I'm not going to use it the reason I'm not going to use it yet is because I am clinging to the idea you know it's it's extremely unlikely to happen this way but we had blank card on the last run and it would have been so nice for us if we were able to have here a font with the blank card although it already worked out for us well obviously so I'm saving it in the hopes that maybe we find blank card in our shop or something like that I don't think it's an extremely likely possibility but it is a possibility and if it happens you know instead of just cashing out quickly and getting to spirit hearts here we'd get to spirit hearts every four rooms for like the rest of the game that's pretty good too bumm friends a bit of a weird one I think I probably will end up taking him but I kind of need the money right now you know where's where's my rewards for getting money while they're in the shop if I could just get some extra keys but yeah we will probably end up taking bump friend but I am kind of the opinion that at least in Vanilla bum friend was more trouble than he was worth especially when he starts knocking your bombs out of the way maybe we won't take him because it's actually kind of a you know a tall ask to fight in a room for an ID to fight a whole roomful of enemies three times basically for a unit that might not even be that good we could lose our spirit heart maybe even our deal with the devil chance there so if we are gonna do it we're gonna do it at the end of the floor that's for sure well this sytem room could be huge like I mentioned there's so many sweet synergies that we could have here with either tourists or triple-shot either one of those has a variety of items that would just make it so much better I would love to see Midas touch I don't think I've had that synergy on on PC the Midas touch + invincibility is just super super good and so much fun and you get so much money it would make bum friend definitely worth getting let's Satanic Bible Satanic Bible is good we might as well use it right away and every room that we can use it on after this yeah this is uh it's really good it's basically like getting a free Book of Revelations except slightly better because black hearts are a little bit better than Spirit hearts basically because of the Necronomicon effect which is my favorite Dan Brown novel you should check it out if you're into page-turning thrillers sometimes shop oh there is a shop over here okay I can't complain about anything on this run thus far it's all going pretty much according to plan temperance you know what I'll use it and take us up to 15 cents here we actually had a spear at our thanks to gimpy you should try this more often so we'll go lower than that actually just on the off chance we do pick up even more spear at hearts we're going to get money for sure there's some guaranteed payout here PhD seems like PhD is a pretty obvious choice here I'm not gonna buy the pill there's gonna be content with what we got here sure arrange upgrade well phe also almost healed us completely yes thank you gimpy well you know what now oh that's so much money I know we could get bum friend to pay out here but some childs are eight that's good I like that the blood bank can actually pay out with that now with that money we may actually end up using the bat like buying the battery I guess we'll see I want to get that toupee out with at least something this is obviously not my ideal situation that we've happened upon right here headless horseman seems to be showing up a lot lately maybe because of everything is terrible you know the game getting a little harder this boss shows up a little bit more often a little bit earlier but it's not terribly difficult and it does give us at least for this the rest of this floor will be thankful to have the ability to fly I suppose so we'll pick up all this and well at least go pick up the consumables that otherwise would have been inaccessible to us so that's pretty good and you know gimpy still paying out here so every red heart gives us a chance there and we're getting a stupid amount of money but I still don't really want to get bum friend in spite of all that and we should use this this Pony to enter our curse room as well because it will make sure we only have to pay half as much as we otherwise would a Guppies collar for free fortunately can't open that chest there but yeah Guppies collar takes us one step closer to becoming guppy gives us also the ability to come back to life maybe again which is pretty good alright I'm digging this run we're raking it over the coals right now you know it hasn't given us everything that we've wanted but it's given us enough good stuff that we can we can feel confident here we'll probably end up buying I don't think we'll end up buying remote detonator but if our money holds why not write like we're gonna have so much cash that it would seem stupid not to you know we can maybe get some extra pills out of this mushroom stack here also mushroom stack probably my favorite phrase that I've invented maybe not invented but at least used stro sure yeah you know what I'm full of [ __ ] we're gonna buy a remote detonator basically we're paying three cents a bomb in bulk and then we're gonna uh because we have PhD that I think is a little better we're gonna take this in here pop it down we got a pill and liberty cap out of it liberty cap might be better yet tella pills Oh Liberty cap might be better than child's heart but child's heart with the blood bank on this floor seems pretty good now let's just start actually attacking some of these rooms in the hopes that we can get you know another black card but actually now that I look at it I realize we won't be able to but we should be able to access our secret oh you know what we could get another black card now if we pick up bum print let's try to find our secret room first though just see what we got in there okay uh it's not really a great deal to pay 15 cents to go to your secret room but we did get a tell appeals out of it as well a mystery bag okay uh gives us like a random consumable now and then bit of a weird choice but this is fine what a strange floor but I'm gonna go with it all right we're gonna take bump friend witness we've already got so much money now we only had like eight it's eight or nine cents when I said no to picking up bum friend earlier now we have 27 after spending thirty on the shop so I feel pretty good about that we've got PhD remote detonator it won't have any long-lasting effects but the fact that we've gotten some bombs well it allowed us to get the the secret sack so it probably pays for itself and by going to this room now we'll also be able to get one more black heart charge which you know is probably not worth taking bum friend if bum friend ends up being bad but at least we're getting some kind of you were hedging our bets a little bit you know two hits is enough to kill basically every enemy we come across here to like it's actually like five hits but to kind of a sustained bursts if you will HP know Satanic Bible though okay well for our final trick I know this is a very long floor here I appreciate you guys sticking with me but this is part of the fun of Isaac here is this ridiculous [ __ ] that you can get up to and for now I am still going to try to take all our money and let bum friend kind of stay out in the cold because I want to be able to buy stuff in the shop and donate as much as possible then my third priority after myself in the donation machine is bum friend sorry you had to hear that bump friend okay well oh he got the nickel you know what kudos to you you why don't you take this money as well maybe you'll pay out right now yeah red patch and I really want that though I think I'm okay with child's heart and you know what why don't we buy the battery as well now that we got that full charge that seems a lot better endless by our pill it's puberty that's unfortunate I think we need the spirit heart we can blow this up let's just leave though and that's tell appeals Liberty Cap I think child's hearts fine for us now ID mostly a good floor I'd say let's head down here a phone we're still saving just on the off-chance of blank card shows up it would be better than Satanic Bible curse of the unknown is a is a [ __ ] it's a fun item scares the [ __ ] out of me though if you are not familiar with Oh curse of the unknown is actually not what I thought it was curse to the blind I'm still getting used to the curse names forgive me here I'm not good with phases to quote dr. evil aka my namesake or my hair sake there we go that's what I was waiting for there please die and you too as well I think it's worth it because we have a PhD maybe get a pill okay we'll save one bomb I'm thinking just way okay I thought they would be in range of that but anyway yeah Cristiano means we can't see our HP which is bad for blood banks what's going on there then it's bad for blood banks but we can feel pretty comfortable that we're strong enough to survive on this floor anything the bosses can throw at us at least we've got so many black and blue hearts oh this is this is annoying is annoying okay very nice otherwise we could have found ourselves in harm's way pretty easily there one more hit should do it oh never mind okay this was actually surprisingly easy now it's not really I mean it is worth a bomb right it's worth the bomb to check for that just in case there's a black market there but I don't even know if there could be a black market in that space we could [ __ ] up the bomb maybe it's not worth using our last remaining bomb for that is our speed increase as as our rage from tourists builds I think that might be true I really think Taurus is one of those items that it's I'm growing fonder of it with age not my age but its age actually I'm gonna try this out oh that's so bad maybe lucky rock would work out better for us there that was dumb of me you know would be great as well as maybe like thunder thighs so we have thunder thighs we wouldn't want to stop those mushrooms right now we wouldn't want to engage in a you know a mushroom stomp on a mushroom stack but when tourists activated we could we could stomp them all for free not not spending any bombs in the process and I have a Satanic Bible here I think it's worth fighting the boss right away what are we afraid of getting hit so much that we lose all our red heart damage that's unlikely tell appeals not so useful all right say Danny Bible let's do this [ __ ] I'm ready it's the holo it's the easiest of all the bosses at this point of the game now he will break into multiple hollows if I hit him in the wrong spot I think which is fine I mean it's a little easier to deal with one of them maybe he doesn't break it oh you did okay still super easy boss fight' I love this guy he's like a joke boss I'm happy whenever he shows up I call his name out in the night I'm gonna name my firstborn Hollow after him Hollow oats wait there's a band name then what are you talking about I just really love cereal so cat and ninetails it's it's weirdly you know bittersweet for cat-o'-nine-tails to be a good item because it was in my [ __ ] list for so long can't get that but it is a good item it's a damage upgrade damage in general beats no damage so I will always be happy to welcome cat-o'-nine-tails into my home for the most part battery and starter deck I think we go battery here especially with Satanic Bible it's really good we can't afford both unfortunately and even if we had a blood bank we'd be very hesitant to play it thanks to curse of the unknown you never know how quickly we would start losing black hearts Zayin that's it then oh there's a big room down there we should do it cuz if there's two rooms then we actually do get another black heart charge but I think this floor has been very good for us yeah I know if we take here a font by the way that we can actually like leave and I didn't even go to the item room so there must be at least two rooms down here yeah umm I know if we take the hero font like use the hero font we can take tella pills with us I don't think tell appeals is that valuable it can be if we're gonna go into the boss rush room but that seems pretty unlikely with the speed at which we're taking this run right now excuse me umm so I think it's better it's so unlikely to work out this way but you know I'm thinking it I'm thinking that if blank card shows up we can get so much value out of this hero font card and if we use it later hey we didn't lose these spirit arts we would have lost the spirit arts anyway we got Satanic Bible to keep us alive till then I'm just trying it on for size you know I don't want to do every run in exactly the same way which is why I'm hoping exactly the same items as last time show up apparently alright item room thank you very much I'll take it I never love the thought of taking it but I'll take it my reflection a boomerang tears they they will come back if they're far enough away so if we give like a lump of coal this could be amazing because these guys got some serious range on them they fly straight for a long time which is actually really nice you know unlike a lot of my reflection shots they're actually gonna stand a pretty good chance to hit what I actually shoot them at and then we'll give maybe like a second pass later Wow oh oh I could have easily gone into that boss trap room so stupid to me is it worth two keys for this weird room here I think it is let's give it a try is it worth three keys for this weird room here hmm I'm gonna go ahead and say probably not three keys and two cents for jack-shit well you know what let's try to triple down we got a pill out of it it's a range upgrade now I don't feel so bad no no I still feel pretty bad so this floor could have been better but hey it could have been worse as well I got a look on the bright side let's head down to the next floor at least we'll be able to see our HP and this what is going on what is up with these last two floors having like some weird visual error on them you see that that scares me yes three red chests all the gup-e dream and of course just after I say that it's not too easy to become guppy let's get three guppy items for free in our you know mob trap rooms and make me feel like an idiot but I don't really care about feeling like an idiot because I'm Gumby so all is forgiven we're totally gonna take Satanic Bible with us of course but hey this guppy [ __ ] is a good start now knock out as close to a chest kill as we can and then Lazarus we can we can put them away until we want to get the lamb kill sorted out with everybody I don't know what's easier by the way the lamb or the chest but all the dark room of the chest technically that I blew it a little but hey we still got in and I didn't blow it at all there's two spirit outs for free I still sort of blew it but let's ignore that all right I don't love this but we can get away with it no shots please thank you now we really just want to stack damage we're in a super good position I know I was looking for tinted rocks I know what they look like on this floor should really educate myself as to what they look like on every floor but we're beating the chest reliably anyway we'll take that even though there could be a you know a blood bank around I think it's still worth taking and yeah that was an inefficient pickup but again the Satanic Bible so many spirit arts etc etc we're kind of we're kind of set for right now at least what we do need is keys and unfortunately we don't have any means with which to replicate them ourselves except by a book of secrets here assuming it works the way I think it does just looking for some tinted rocks up there on the top just the one Ruby on depths one yeah way too slow to go too boss rush but that's okay cuz this is going fantastically regardless no keys but free money eh oh you dick you're a big dick about it you did give me the hangman that would have been useful like pretty much any floor preceding this one but as usually not a big fan of good timing remember when bum friends a I was so bad he wouldn't do stuff like that we just kind of sit in his corner I miss those days all right Cuba meet and hopefully let's talk about this we've had like no deals with the devil on this run which seems crazy to me because we've earned them I mean we haven't taken red hard damage in a long time we've had spirit arts and black cards backing us up forever here we got our Cuban meats and we're gonna fight Krampus please God lump of coal I beg you our shots are gonna stay in the air for so long they'll be so strong thank you let's say I have a quick little glimpse here no need to use Satanic Bible right now let's have a quick glimpse lump of coal oh when they come back they get huge now I really doubt I'm going to be able to use that information effectively to like you know intentionally do a lot of damage with these tears but the ones that miss and then come back will be amazingly strong no tinted rocks that I can see I could be wrong about that I'm waiting for the compilation of me missing all these tinted rocks well that's the other thing we have the battery so we actually cannot overcharge Satanic Bible so it's not a big deal that we're not using it right now we can save two black hearts for the future is that just it it's floors done well not quite we can look for our secret room which I imagine is probably here inside a greed fight okay sure it's nice I at least got that 15 cent no keys for me huh all right I'll be too good I guess we are leaving without going to our item Remora shop not sure if there's anything else I can really do maybe get a lucky tarot card out of one of these uh one of these skulls well not those too kind of my last chance here oh oh okay keys my friend well at least we got HP out of it so at any given time right now we have four HP or we will have four HP that we can use to get super strong like just to bring it back we can get to once we get a full charge of it at least our second charge here we can get two black hearts right away from Satanic Bible and we can get two hearts from the hero font so I think that's something that we're gonna probably try to save into the late game and that's a nice little like you know white blood cell infusion right there at the end not disappointed about that health upgrade not disappointed about that health upgrade at some point it might seem like a bad thing but we'll actually be able to get rid of Satanic Bible maybe if we want to because we'll just be at like full red hearts like the more red hearts we have kind of the less uh less risky we can afford to be because as you can see we lose our our capacity for black and blue hearts in the process which means that you know despite getting more HP we're actually in harm's way more often as well because we only have we have a smaller cushion before our red hearts get affected but if we actually get full then it's a good thing because we um well you know can take more hits this is the essence of HP in general there it's a bit weird it's okay though oh that was my my bad on that one the good news is again we can replenish our cushion pretty much as quickly as we want to girl I'm going to replenish your cushion as quickly as I want to doesn't really make any sense but thank you for missing page two mostly so that we never see it again let's move along pheromones your fonts probably a little better for us because it's not shitty pheromones aren't shitty they do charm the enemies but I don't know I've never really found a great usage for them this run is not quite opiate I know people are gonna be crying at it so peop people loved calling things up it's not o P it it is really dang good I I don't even know okay like it might actually be worse for us to be getting these red hearts but I'm taking them anyway ah bum friend done you can have all the money after this point just not that though cuz like it's it's eroding my ability to charge myself a Satanic Bible but I guess we could just get rid of Satanic Bible I don't know I'm of like 8 minds about this I mean we could like use Satanic Bible to get half of a charge right now it seems kind of silly though we definitely want to go to our shop though again blank card is the whole reason we're here an overcharge blank card could give us the same effect as Satanic Bible but more often it wouldn't be black cards they be spirit hearts but still it's the same effect functionally at least all right this is a moment of truth no greed yeah you know what this is a pretty easy play take the compass donate five cents I feel bad I've been taking a lot of money out of the donation machine not putting very much back in you could argue the pills worth buying as well but uh I think that's not gonna do it cuz we haven't been to our item room yet there you go bum friend you can start picking up the money enjoy have a good time with it I don't need it anymore I bought like five different shop items on this run and none of them brought me inner peace but some of them brought me some sick-ass bombs and a GPS so that's pretty cool well we're missing a key ingredient of any chest run and that ingredient is keys I'm open maybe that sorts itself out there's an extra one there's options I mean that's a book of secrets shows us the secret room I mean there's options actually would be pretty good book of secrets not really not gonna open that I need to save our keys I think and pills well they're not pills but maybe pills cuz we can blow up two of these ones a range upgrade and the other one had nothing at all well that's gonna do it then we're pretty much ready to fight our boss it's a boss fight that should go over pretty easily what are you looking at Tom oh you got a problem buddy are you mad that I became guppy again you look like guppy but you're knocked up a soda worried about it buddy you're still number one your tide in my heart okay somehow we did damage without even touching mom temporarily their blue mom is the hardest so I'll actually you know that it's good but bad it's bad because it's a harder fight but it's good because if we do well I'll be feeling very you know good about our chances long-term I'm still kind of struggling oh forgot about Taurus because we've been killing these rooms so quickly yeah we'll take this and that and this end down to the next floor me yeah I'm still struggling with HP like would it be better to have a bunch of black hearts so we'd actually have more room to replenish or would be better to to have a bunch of red hearts because we can replenish them more easily with red hearts from the ground especially with child's heart I don't know it's it's a very twisted kind of setup here they use I think I used book of Satanic Bible by accident not that it's a big deal but I did use it should just program it to use whenever I get hit I wouldn't say we're unkillable but we might be close I don't know though I wish that we would like a little freaking faster I'll tell you that much well the other good thing I didn't mention it but the other good thing about having HP is that we can trade it for deals with the devil and we haven't been able to get very many deals with the devil and the ones that we've had have given us items like a lump of coal for free which I can't really complain about but we'll choose to do so anyway so we use book of Satanic Bible quickly anyway and move along here can't really afford to open that but yeah I would I would welcome the opportunity to trade some HP away and then refill it with the Kiera font and Satanic Bible we can probably now by the way give up the dream of getting blank card I don't think there's a very good chance of it showing up now it's unfortunate you know that's almost certainly the longest like time and floor wise that I've ever carted around a single hero font card usually I'm like all here at font let's use that right away but it was the right call I think just in case and also you know it's not like we were hurting for HP at any point it's not like it cost us a deal with the devil not using it now we're we're kind of getting into a little bit more static territory until the chest like this is probably going to be roughly the power that we're going to have until the the items on the chest actually manifest themselves and then it all goes to [ __ ] right we could we could have anything no there's Satanic Bible I love that even if we get hit that's just like like the room like everything on the room dies as soon as we get hit that's a pretty nice position to be in all we have to do to stay in full health not even talking about like not dying I'll wait to do to stay at full health is only take damage once every six rooms then we've got this nice reservoir that we can exist on and we do a lot of damage and we have full HP so like we can pretty easily sustain some some swings both in the positive and they well not really in a positive direction exclusively we can sustain swings in the negative direction but that's a good thing anyway scolex is a garbage monster used to be so easy now is kind of a pain in the dick oh this is good though all come on not not during my taurus sounds like Tim's Tim Burton's Batman theme there's Danny Elfman's Batman theme all right there we go chance to do some real damage it's weird normally that was when you would look to scolex and be like I can't do any damage to him but now that's like that's where you get your your best work done is when he pokes his tail out of the ground for an extended amount of time yeah like right here flies actually start doing what they're supposed to do that's simple that's great damage plus range we don't really need the range uh and we certainly don't need Guppies paw we can't become like super goopy or anything like that so we might as well just head down I'd say hey simple extra damage it's a good item sorry for the squeaky chair that's something I should probably get taken care of not gonna re-roll not gonna go to that rear ol room I know so I've got to learn what they do six is the one that I know rerolls everything I think one my tree roll everything is well I can't remember too I think is a forget me now but I'm not totally sure nothing there that's fine we lose one of those on the way out but we can just replenish it so it's not that big of a deal um but yet for me like our run is so good why would I risk reroll in it I mean it could be funny but you know nothing funny about some of the comments I get when I make bad decisions I mean except for the fact there is something funny about them let's ignore that you know what I'm fine with our HP balance as is again if we're in a good place why [ __ ] with the equilibrium right the rich get richer how about just like the rich stay pretty rich that's fine by me right now the strong stay pretty strong because being pretty strong is the only thing that matters you know there's no World Championship or anything you know no no heavyweight Intercontinental title belt I'm trying to get how sweet would that be though check for like health related items in here that could maybe be good the bombs are not a big concern for me all right it lives should be easy we'll use Satanic Bible and this is actually the first time that we may run the risk of what happened there then mom kill it with a bullet I think so um this is the first time we may run the risk of actually not being at full health in like five floors I'm trying to get in shots even as we dodge kind of circularly here while I wouldn't find I'm not even gonna take the eternal heart again I like our balance between black hearts and blue hearts and red hearts right now so the balance is important because I want to be able to have the capacity to use here a font and a double charge if I need to otherwise I mean I guess you'll always have that capacity it'll just look different there's probably now that I think about it there's probably no reason not to take hearts at least until we get up to ten because that's where we could really get we're making sure that we're still getting some value out of the hero font card the maximum value I should say out of the hero font card is if we've 11 HP the hero font card gives us one less HP so I think 10 is pretty much where we'd want to be but I don't think it makes a difference it's also kind of where I'm coming from in my you know brain space right now I'm thinking that it doesn't really matter whether we're at 8 and 4 or 10 and 2 or 6 and 6 or 1 and 11 as long as as long as we are at max HP or as close to it as we can get we're pretty much sorted on this run I would like to hear the people's thoughts on it those it's something I never had to consider before with an HP cap you know with an HP cap uh yeah with you know let's take it because we we're not getting much value at a child's heart but with an HP cap is there some value to having a different mix of HP I mean obviously there's some value in having black hearts over red hearts tinted rock there because they give you the Necronomicon effect but I don't know apart from that I'd love to hear what people think on this mister boom huh I mean mister boom we're in a weird position where that's kind of like a better choice for us because we can actually use it but Satanic Bible if we end up not using Satanic Bible I'll be very happy because it means we didn't have to use Satanic Bible spirit hearts there that we'll take when we leave the floor maybe save our Satanic Bible charges does he never know what's gonna happen on the chest whoa I thought you were my Gemini thing there for a second then I realized wait a tick I don't have a jam and I think all right Isaac don't anticipate a an easy boss fight' here I expect to get hit flies are doing what they do though that's good we missed some shots and they come back around we'll probably get a nice little damage bonus actually we're going a nice bit of damage now now I hope our invincibility kicks in like yep maybe not right now but I'm happy we had it during a period where we get at least use it to make sure that we didn't get hit by the the beams of light yeah it's going amazingly right now I wonder if our flies deal more damage if our existing tears have been in the air longer I doubt it but it is one of those things that I just you know I'll just admit I don't know about it seems conceivable doesn't it that that could change that was a super easy boss fight' we'll be heading down to the next floor we didn't even get hit on Isaac I don't even know if we got hit on the cathedral at all what we did on the on the curse rooms okay before keys exactly telepathy for dummies shoopdawhoop anemic blood that's like anemia I think toxic blood yeah and Dead Sea Scrolls this is a terrible haul am I really going to use my Satanic Bible charges to test out Dead Sea Scrolls let's stop being an idiot and move along here so yeah it's suffice to say we're not getting carried by our existing items I really sorry we're getting carried by our existing items not the items that the chest has sought fit to given us to thought fit to given us you are chest given you are just given somehow didn't get hit by that oh here we go big moment good stuff well done didn't lose a whole ton of HP here a font card still well well on display here something it matters at all what we kill last here but I'm gonna go for gluttony just in case we get some spirit hearts out of it we didn't but we got 20/20 oh is this triple double shot no that's unfortunate the 20/20 gives you the double shot so I was really hoping that we would get like three shots that shot two shots out of them or vice versa oh well though this is still fine we pretty much I wouldn't say we're guaranteed to win but maybe you could say that we're guaranteed to win I just don't want to seem cocky about it you know we're in a very very good position right now let's put it that way oh my god our love of coal shots kind of curved around with my reflection did some good stuff there this is here a font territory we're a little slow but I'm kind of hoping that we can actually if I could save this here a font card for the whole run I would feel a little bit more accomplished about the whole thing you know just feel like it caps it off a little bit why even come and fight this room I totally forgot that I had the compass I can just look and see where I should go that's a bad habit it's a habit that exists because we don't see the whole map on the screen anymore or at least you know unless you want to there's Satanic Bible Luka it's okay buddy I'll that makes a lot of sense and I apologize for the slander Billy you're a great character in the film though the character you played is a great character we're gonna be totally fine against blue baby I'm just gonna keep telling myself that because it helps keep me reassured but you know this is the first time that we've been below full HP so there's a chance that you know my confidence just gets eroded and that's the kind of thing I want to avoid here but for right now we're fine no super good drops here or anything like that be very helpful for me able to knock out those duple Dingles soon Taurus effect I need to any day now would be amazing oh my god the black hearts are going can't open that still okay I know a lot of people are going to want to see a win here I know a lot of people are going to want to see a loss here I'm gonna have be happy to oblige one of you hopefully I'd be happier to see a win here anytime I get a win as Lazarus it kind of like makes me feel good because often times I'm like Lazarus sucks I don't understand losers you know this is good for everybody involved I think oh blank card what it showed up we can get four spirit hearts out of it this way check
