there's an old buddy of mine that what a nephew fortunately he's been on the show a couple of times now we need to clear the air let's get to equal cars in performance and we'll each get in one and little boy settle it once and for all we've pulled out two 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcats these cars have about 300 horsepower more and anything ever produced at the muscle era [Applause] why do people like to do burnouts but if you don't know stop watching this show right now alright two identical muscle cars two identical idiots but only one idiot to win it all [Applause] sir get out of the car turn around and face away from me cut me off my name's Jay Leno sent me some kind of TV no I never heard of them glad you came along and who arrested him before you hurt somebody I was on my way to a police benefit to help wounded officers and that guy cut me off watch wash my head now duck under okay maybe you have a larger police car then you cops think who won you had to pick a winner put on the blindfold it's so much fun I can't believe I'm doing this but I'm sure the money will be rolling in all right let's turn around am i turning around okay this is a 1959 Oldsmobile 88 it has a 315 horsepower rocket v8 engine a four-barrel carburetor is it pricey can I touch the thing or you can touch it yes yeah and has all kinds of spaceship like details this is perfect for the mid century man definitely not European who dreams of being an astronaut you're not a young man anymore why is there marijuana in here safety first put on the seatbelt oh I've got mine on that's the only one we need to worry about it's a GM product the v8 it's not shifted like a Ford what makes you think it's not shifting like a poor towards a little crispier better transmissions in this era this is late 50s feel higher end or lower end it feels I are in the Chevy judging by the dashboard and it's got a vent window a lot of bolt going on and curves and a lot of body a lot of style custom-made stuff doesn't come in Chevy how about the size look see I can't punch you in the face you could if you really wanted so I do really want to all right leave me talking I want to more than anything you're ready to make it guess what do you got let's say 58 Olson bill 88 good 59 oh the veil [Music] [Music] well it was a tough race Jay what's a tough race a tough race they can't believe I could beat you in this thing but you had a weight disadvantage no you beat that beat me fair and square it's very dish so what do I win I do have a surprise is so sick of your surprises [Music] hell yeah was it worth it it was really worth it a very angry look at automobile that's what I'm talking about this is the dodge demon capable of hitting 60 miles an hour in 2.3 seconds it is the world's fastest zero to 60 production car powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi v8 the demon packs a whopping eight hundred and forty horsepower and after riding in a Model T well they should feel like the Space Shuttle congratulations you are the first customer to take delivery of your new demon this is amazing what a piece guys Oh may i absolutely it's yours to the Lord congratulations him have fun with the Model T yeah yeah later [Music] I got another surprise with them I don't even want to ask J well what is this Tim this is one of the great automobile rivalries of Japan the Nissan Figaro versus the Auto Sam these are Japanese city cars who cares this show goes around the world Tim but look away the door opens look at oh wow let's look at this watch that's good let's race now oh there we go look at how cool is that it's a goal it's a goal winged motorcycle combined with an electric bicycle after this we're gonna have a kind of 90 style laser photo taking you ever had one of those Koshchei you shade me to the back of it work together that's what we're doing we're gonna chain race figure eights yeah have a little bit of fun and see who's the better driver the front car drives the back car only has brake and steering so there's only one engine really run from the front car I'm a motor nope you only have brakes and like that part yeah that's real fun just so I have all the power oh are the cars modified I'll just stock in just stock engines here's your chain in between 12 feet sturdy enough sturdy enough so he powers around in this thing and I'm just dragging around hanging around trying to save a shopping cart you only have brakes and steering in that car so you can't speed up what's the point of me you know that is the most honest questions okay well what is the what is the point of me I don't know well how do I help him if he starts to spend going around the turns pull you wanna break ya brakes to try to help straighten him outside just a new feel to play for me help Jay out just so all clear I control the speed in my car and Tim and the other car slows us down that sounds about right to me we're about to put our teamwork to the test wheelchair [Music] wait a
