hey bill how you doing sir good to see you again boy great garage well i appreciate it wow it's about time you paid a visit to my garage instead of being here boy it's a beautiful place it's like a resort for cars cars will come here to relax have a spa treatment do the whole deal undefeated world champion wrestler bill goldberg fills his garage with cars you might expect high horsepower no-nonsense beast to go overboard with muscle and can smoke just about anything in their path but these 19 cars as much about heart as they are about muscle if anybody knows it's you i mean everybody has a special relationship with cars this car right here kind of started at all when i made it big right it got to a point where i could actually go into my wallet and buy the cars that i dreamed of buying when i was a kid this was the first one that i bought bought it out of texas 68 gtx convertible 4-speed 440 car original numbers match and everything this started the addiction you know i know the answer to this question but i'm going to ask anybody was your dad a professional wrestler my dad you know i went to harvard went to hopkins was an ob gyn right never made a bee in his life for god's sakes and uh here comes me my mom was a concert violinist okay so you have these little girls intellectual jewish parents their son's a wrestler and you know the funny thing is and i got bitched at by my dad he he hung the phone up on me but he ultimately years later became my biggest fan so tell me about the law man i'm sure you know a little bit about this thing this thing means a lot to me the story behind this is there was a corporate lawyer for chrysler al extrane he was a drag racer he was kind of tired of watching the kids come back from the war buy a 450 horsepower car and wrapped themselves around a tree so he took it upon himself to teach a driving course over in vietnam so he went to chrysler they didn't want to do it went the fourth they did it they put the team together two boss four two nines six mock ones connie coletta was in on the project car craft was in on the project this means a lot to a lot of people and then i redid the tour with ford and took it to 13 bases i don't know 10 8 10 years ago it was a lot of fun now the one i don't quite understand is this one here tell me the story on this one is there some personal connection here you know this is my grandmother's car 62 t-birds oh okay should you buy it new yeah oh that's great yeah i drove it in high school and uh like every other car it's got great memories i remember my grandmother taking me to the grocery store in this damn thing actually we used to watch wrestling together she's the only family member that used to watch wrestling with me really okay and uh it was her affinity not mine and she kind of got me into it and um see i never met a guy whose grandmother got them into wrestling that's the first thing you ever met a 280 pound jewish guy who runs around you know punching guys on national tv yeah yeah what am i hearing now somebody coming uh that would be a trans am that we built for my beautiful wife was your wife driving the trans am yes sir let's check it out and that would be my one yeah hi baby guess i'm the only one here that's not a babe hi how you doing hi babe goldberg's wife wanda loves to drive fast cars and crash them too not because she's a bad driver because she's a professional stunt woman they've been married for over a decade now and have a son named gage i wonder if that happened in the car wow very nice car thanks yeah every stunt woman has to have a 650 horsepower transmitter what do you get your groceries in uh we have a little electric fiat yeah it's not quite the same is there any vehicle here that you have a special connection with more than any other absolutely which one is it it's a 1967 mercury truck this one here that's my baby i've been driving that truck since i was nine years old really where did you grow up in saskatchewan oh little town of 600 people on a grain farm oh so it was our farm truck and all of us kids learned how to drive in that truck and obviously you've had this thing restored yeah you're looking at you're looking at the most expensive uh 67 mercury in existence yes and i broke probably 90 percent of the bolts off of this thing you had to though it was pretty bad shape it was in pretty outside in saskatchewan for about 30 years yeah this is uh this is when trucks with trucks you just had a bench seat a three on the tree right yeah good job six cylinder or a v8 six owners oh okay in line six okay yeah this is a rare beast my dad paid seven hundred dollars okay for this truck so it's been in my family since i was three see this is my kind of restoration you pay 900 bucks right now you put 50 grand in it right and you sell it for 12.50 yeah it's better than the stock market yeah you know we knew that in the beginning and so this will never leave can we take it for a ride absolutely yeah take it for a ride just the three of us [Applause] [Music] so how soon after you were married did the idea come to restore this truck what is the surprise so the goal was to bring the truck here restore it and then hand the keys back to my dad and say it's your truck take it home do with it whatever you want so bill did the restoration on it and it turned up beautifully and then handed the keys back to dad and said here's your truck take it home was he surprised he was very surprised he cried he cried and he said no i can't and you guys keep it and we'll just drive it when we come out cool that's kind of a love story now i'm going to ask was gage conceived in this truck well we can't track it down that close and restore it just threw it out there it's a love story so how did you know this is the one yeah you know if i did not ask her to go to dinner with me i would have regretted it the rest of my life yeah yeah so you don't know until you try it did you have a girlfriend at the time yes i did oh and i had a boyfriend i had an awesome guy and i broke up with them that night and said no if i can feel this way about someone else that quickly i'm not in the right relationship wow yeah it was that quick oh sorry buddy wow what day were you won september 5th wow you know what's amazing about that what i've lived with five women in my life everyone was born on september 5th are you joking good with my wife that's crazy you've got to be i guess i just must be really attracted to women born on september 5th that is so bizarre that doesn't go any further
